Hi,
When creating a vacancy, is there a way to default the internal site end date to be the same as the internal site start date?
This is so that the vacancy is not advertised as soon as it's created and approved because the recruiting officer still needs to go in and update the vacancy with job requirements, etc, before it can be advertised for people to apply.

Currently we are using 3rd party tool for the recruitment procee. Now ee are moving to Oracle Irec.
Already we have huge data in current system for the vacancy (around 500 vacanies) and corresponding applicant applied for the vacancy. How can we migrate the data from current Sql server to Oracle Irec. Any webadi available??

As my understanding there no seeded webadi is avaiable for same reference.
you can designed conversion program or custom webadi for this purpose. PER_VACANCY_API API will help for Migrating the Data in Oracle.

Recruitment in Process in Core HR, SSHR without using iRec

Hi,
I wanted to know till what extent Recruitment process can be incorporated in Oracle using Core HR and SSHR only , i.e without using iRec. I know iRec will significantly simplify the process , but our client does not have iRec and wants to include as much part of recruitment in Oracle.
Kindly share your view regarding this, thanks in advance.

Using Core HR of Requirement you can achieve the following functionality.
1) You Can create vacancy.
2) You can create Candidate
3) You can create applicant.
4) You can conduct interview for the applicant.
5) You can hire the applicant from core HR or SSHR.
In-short you can still achieve all the i-Rec basic functionality.

Oracle Apps R12 iRec URL Redirection issue

Dear Friends,
We have configured R12 i-Rec in an server and placed in DMZ.
we have made this server as external and we have made the irec responsibilities to external and using the DMZ Server URL we were able to work without any issue.
Now to publish this URL to Interner users with https and Port masking , we have mapped this URL http://abc.com:8020 to https://xyz.com using Microsoft UGC Firewall 2010.
Now from Internet we were able to hit the URL https://xyz.com and could login as oracle application user with the same url https://xyz.com
But when we click any of the irec responsilities (irecruitmnt agency (or) others) which is made external, the page is redirected to the Real DMZ Server URL http://abc.com:8020/OA_HTML/...
and it shows error:
The page cannot be displayed.
I believe it should not happen , throughout the session it has to maintain the same new URL
Please let us know the Fix.

Questions in iRec

Team,
We are implementing iRec now and want to do approvals based on Hiring manager instead of standard recruiter's manager.
We are trying to do that in AME.
We know that we need to feed in a dynamic sql query to fetch the hiring manager info.
And we know that it is in HR_API_TRANSACTIONS table, i am trying to parse that info using irc_approvals.get_search_data_varchar function and unfortunately, no success.
Has anyone done similar approval using Hiring manager?
If so, how did you do?

Hi Arul
You can make a new attribute for your transaction type of iRec.
Make a new attribute and derive the value from a SQL Query. Get your transaction_id from hr_api_transactions and refer that in SQL like
select return_supervisor_attributes(:transaction_id) from dual
In your procedure you can get all the transaction attributes or the values committed in database.
For transaction attributes you can see the following tables
hr_api_transactions
hr_api_transaction_steps
hr_api_transaction_values

Exception Errors in iRec

Hi All,
Can anybody please let me know the following
How to create some custom error messages at iRec Module.
The issue is whenever an external user plans to apply for a job by registering for the first time. If they encounter any issue. All they get is "an unexpected error has occured Please contact system administrator". Is there any way to change this message and give more appropriate messages say like "If you are applying for a jobs and in iRec module then please contact the following number xxx-xxx-xxxx and also you can reach at [email protected]
Since right now the errors are more generic.
Can anybody please let me know as how to achieve this.
Its little bit urgent for us.

IRec partial implementation

I have an implementation that is going with all iRec, and only partly with HR depending on country, but still one business group.
I'm not aware of any implementation that has gone wholly with iRec but partially with HR, is anyone else?
For anyone implementing iRec without HR, how has this been accomplished? If HR/Recruitment person records aren't in the system, how can they make offers for candidates?
If supervisors aren't in the system, how can they raise requisitions for vacancies?
Any ideas would be gratefully received!

Will there be any problems giving access with FND accounts, which aren't attached to a person record for any iRec operations?
It should not give issue as my understanding. It could be issue of which applicant you will access. If a Number recruiter role are exist they may have access all applicants.
How can I give managers access to offer workbench without them having a person record? Isn't this really a recruitment task rather than supervisors?
You can user iRecruitment Administrator responsibility to access offer workbench. This responsibility could be given to other than supervisor.

iRec looks like an app in the iTunes Store.
Go to the iTunes Store in iTunes and download it. If you choose to use iTunes on your computer, go to the Store, and then search for iRec. It will give you a screen like this:
Choose the version you want and click the button under it to download. Then sync your iPad using iTunes.

Irec External Candidate issue

We created external user in Irec. Username created successfully and following responsibility is assigned to him by system.
iRecruitment External Candidate
Now I try to log in with this username/password.
After entering username/password of external candidate, it automatically goes to below url and I am getting no page found error.

then it divers to the "career.ajman.ae:443". it should be "erp-dev.ajman.ae:8021" instead of this.
I think it is happening due to some framework profile.
Once we will set the correct value in this profile, issue will be resolved.

Need to create custom offer letter templates for irec offer letters

I am trying to create a custom template for irec offer letters. The additional fields I require in the offer letter are configured as DFF on the Irec page. Steps I followed to create a custom template:
1.Created a custom rtf and used tag names as specified in the standard "IRCESOLDD_SD.xml" file for the additonally configured DFF fields.
2.Created a new template definiton and used the standard data definiton "iRecruitment Offer Letter Data" as reference while creating my template definiton.
3.Associated this custom template to the required business group.
But while navigating the irec page I get an error like below:

When ever you will get exception with SQL statement just copy that statement to SQL editor and run the parameter.
that statement will give you proper error which you can understand

Customize iRec Workflow

Hello!
I have to customize the iRec Workflow (IRC_WF).
Within this workflow there are 3 Versions of one Prozess.
I have to customize "iRecruitment New Vacancy", "iRecruitment New Vacancy V2" and "iRecruitment New Vacancy V3".
Within HR there is the Function IRC_CM_HOME which starts the iRecruitment Home Page. But there is no connection between the Function IRC_CM_HOME and the Workflow IRC_WF.
I found out, that the function "IRC_VAC_NEW_LAUNCH_WF" starts the IRC_WF.IRC_VACANCY_NEW_V3 process via
OA.jsp?akRegionCode=IRC_REQUISITION_LAUNCH_WF&akRegionApplicationId=800&WFItemType=IRC_WF&WFProcess=IRC_VACANCY_NEW_V3
But where is "IRC_VACANCY_NEW" and "IRC_VACANCY_NEW_V2" started?
did the following:
First, i copied the Process IRC_VACANCY_NEW to XXSONY_IRC_VACANCY_NEW
Then i copied IRC_VACANCY_NEW_V2 to XXSONY_IRC_VACANCY_NEW_V2 and also V3.
Afterwards, i customized the XXSONY_ Processes.
Then i changed the IRC_VAC_NEW_LAUNCH_WF function to do the following HTML call: OA.jsp?akRegionCode=IRC_REQUISITION_LAUNCH_WF&akRegionApplicationId=800&WFItemType=IRC_WF&WFProcess=XXSONY_IRC_VACANCY_NEW_V3
But i don't know, where IRC_VACANCY_NEW and V2 are started. There is no function for these 2 processes.
Do you know where the processes IRC_VACANCY_NEW and IRC_VACANCY_NEW_V2 are started so that i can replace the call to hit XXSONY_IRC_VACANCY_NEW and XXSONY_IRC_VACANCY_NEW_V2?
Or should i customize IRC_VACANCY_NEW and IRC_VACANCY_NEW_V2.
But in that case i'm afraid that an standard Oracle update overwrites my customization.
What is the best way to implement my customized version of this workflow?

chances are that the previous versions are not used anymore. If you want to be sure, just customize them by adding a division by zero, so it errors out.
if you just have to change the approval flow, i would opt for AME, so you don't customize the workflow, but configure the approval scheme.

Irec : Option for Cover letter

Is there any option available in Irec to capture the Cover letter for Candidate profile. So that Candidate can write brief about his profile

Hi all,
In Oracle iRecruitment external Visitor page when applicant registers his details, the Address Line 1 field is mandatory. But it has a default value <Please Enter>. Client wants to remove that value from the field and it should be blank. Can anyone please tell me from where it is fetching?

The trend for customer who want a nicer front end to their external iRec site is to put in place their own web front end and communicate to iRec using BPEL.
