Re: Is individual tool reinstallation possible?

Hi,
I have a Toshiba L350-15U with preinstalled Vista Home Premium + Tools/Utilities.
One of the preinstalled tools is "Ulead DVD MovieFactory for TOSHIBA 5" which *stopped working* after I accidentally deleted its file named *"umfCommon.dll"*
since my antivir program told me it had been infected and couldn't have been quarantined.
Now I know it must have been a false positive alert but the file has gone.
*1. Is it possible to reinstall this Ulead tool alone?*
*2. If yes, what should I do?*
*3. If not, can I get direct support from the Ulead / Corel Customer Support (getting a download link, copy of that .dll, etc) ?*
I know that there is the hidden recovery partition and I also have created the 2 recovery disks but I cannot find a way to do this without reinstalling everything.
I remember the old days when Toshiba notebook owners got a System Recovery DVD AND another DVD containing the tools which helped to fix such issues but it's not the case now...
Thank you for your help in advance.

Hi,
I have downloaded the zip file you specified but nothing happened.
I unzipped the file (it has created a folder named "TOSHIBA DVD PLAYER") and launched the .exe in the folder but after it extracted files to a temp directory and executed something named "tinstall.exe" I didn't see any changes except it refreshed the icons on my desktop.
I suspect it should have done something with the Toshiba DVD Player utility but it worked and works fine, the broken tool is Ulead DVD MovieFactory for Toshiba.
However, thanks for trying to help me ;-)

  • Accessing Properties of Individual Tool Buttons via JavaScript

    Hi all!
I am new to both this forum and scripting Acrobat so please excuse me if the question sounds naive.
I am trying to find a way to access the properties of individual tool buttons via JavaScript (if there is one). I could not find it yet in JS API Reference. If anybody can help me or direct me to the right way, I will greatly appreciate that.
For example, in 'Comment & Markup' toolbar one can right-click and change the 'Tool Default Properties' of various markup tools like Highlighter, Line, Rectangle etc. Is it possible to access these properties through JavaScript so that buttons can be added for dynamically changing these? Hope this makes sense!
Thanks in advance for your interest and help.
    John.

Hi Andy, thanks for the answer. It was pretty simple - I just added an authorization scheme to the report column, wehre the javascript is executed. Christof

  • Downloaded Mt Lion Yesterday and my Tool bar has disappeared. I can still access the individual tools but cannot see my header.  I used 'help' and did what it suggested. slected 'hide tool bar' and then 'show toolbar'.  I also restarted etc.

Good point BDAqua, the Escape key helps get me back to reality in Lion.
While I've only dabbled around a little in Lion since it's release (I upgraded a 10.6 Clone to Lion on one of my FireWire Drives) now I'm currently downloading Mountain Lion (to upgrade a Clone of that Lion Clone) so that now I can continue to move forward in madness.
P.S. Trust me, I'm not laughing.

  • IPhoto gone after Update - no reinstallation possible?

    Hi Folks,
I've got a little problem here with my Mac.
After an Update it seems like iPhoto is gone (which normally doesn't bother me, but I need it for syncing purposes... -.-) and I can't find any possibility to recover it.
I got no installation DVDs with my Mac. For reinstalling the OS I found a rather complicated guide to extract the main OS-DVD from the OS, but the additional Software DVD is not there.
In the App Store the App would have to be bought. So eventhou it's preinstalled, I wasn't able to download it. Probably because it's gone...
Since my TM-Backup had to "resync" (or sth like that) right after the Update, there is no backup. It seems like all my former TM-snapshots are gone as well... -.-
any ideas how to get it back? For some reason iCloud needs this "nice" piece of SW for syncing...
    tia,
    tom

If your Mac came with Lion or Mt. Lion preinstalled then you can go to the App Store, log in with the Apple ID you used to purchase or register your Mac, go to the Purchases section and download the latest version of iPhoto for free.

  • Export multiple rasters onto individual ai layers--possible?

When I export from ArcMap to AI, any raster images end up stuck together on one layer in AI. I need each image to be its own layer in AI. Any suggestions?
Also, I need to scale all relative to one of the images being exactly 17" x 22".  How can I "tell" Illustrator to make the image exactly 17" x 22"?
    Thank you!

This is a great file!  (Apologies for the delay; I've been on vacation).  Not sure yet if it will solve our current issue, but what a wonderful cross-section of info; this will definitely come in handy.  Thank you!
    Marianne
PS-Would you send me more detailed info on your imagery issue?  I may know someone who can help.

  • Is it possible to individually export multiple tracks in sequence?

I have a very large number of tracks and I wish to automatically export each track individually. Currently, I need to deactivate every video track and then queue up each video one by one, needless to say, this process is very time consuming.
    -Adam

I wish to automatically export each track individually.
    Not possible.
I need to deactivate every video track and then queue up each video one by one.
    That's your only option.
You can file a feature request here:
    http://www.adobe.com/go/wish
    note:
You can save a bit of time by holding down Shift
to disable / enable view of all video tracks at once.

  • Is this possible, I have searched here and in tutorials....

okay, I have been using CaptureOne workflow at work, and would like to use Aperture at home in the same sort of way--- in Capture one, it is possible to set preset "looks" (a specific value for ex. -22saturation, +16 contrast, +.02 exposure) and name it and use it over and over or they have a bunch to choose from (porcelain, 70's look, etc) and you can even shoot to that look when tethered. The closest thing I have found in aperture is the presets...but it appears to be just individual tool presets not a combination of a bunch of tool settings. Am I missing something? If there is a preset like that available, can you shoot to it tethered (so the images pop up already looking the way you want to the client who is sitting at the computer screen)
    thanks!

I agree, the more that the Aperture team can help make our work appear "magic" the better. I sold a wedding last week by rocking through a previous wedding in Aperture, showing the client fast stacks, edits, ranking, etc. The bride was thrilled.

  • Open-vm-tools/official vmware tools not installing.

I'm trying to install the latest offical vmware tools (16/9/2013) and open-vm-tools but both seem to always fail. I tried some of the patches listed on the wiki, but nothing got me anywhere. • No migrated network IP / Removal VMware Tools

    Hello guys! good night!
I'm trying to convert about 100 VMWARE VMs to my Hyper-V 2012 R2 environment. I'm using the new MVMC 2.0.
After converting the VM, I realize that the network IP address was absent. The NIC was using the DHCP config. (The source VMWARE VM was configured with Static IP).
Other point is that the VMWARE tools wasn't removed.
In addition, during the migration process, the source VMWARE VM was power on and the MVMC did the snapshot and turned it off.
None of this itens has occured after the VM migration complete process. Even the VLAN ID in the VM settings on the Hyper-V was blank. No error message was returned. The whole migration process has completed successfully (green check mark).
    On the link http://blogs.technet.com/b/privatecloud/archive/2014/04/08/migration-automation-toolkit-for-mvmc-2-0.aspx
states that with this tool is possible to:
    MVMC removes VMware tools;
    MVMC migrates network IPs;
But none of this itens has occured after the VM migration complete process. Even the VLAN ID in the VM settings on the Hyper-V was blank.
Besides this issues, the whole migration process has completed successfully (green check mark).
I would like to confirm that steps should I take to do a troubleshooting (for example, where can I find the verbose logs, etc).
    Best regards,

  • Software tools to test bridge performances

I'd like to know if these is any sotware tool to check performance in a building to building connection (with aironet 350 bridge).
Now I'm timing the transfer of big files from a bridge to the other, but I want to find a more powerful tool (if possible not too expensive).
If someone already uses a software to test connection performance please inform me.
    Thanks

You should take a look at MRTG and RRDTool. MRTG is free to use (so not too expensive). You can find info here:

  • OBI Administration Tool

    Hello gurus.
Is there in Oracle BI Administration Tool a possibility to connect to another server without a terminal session (remote desktop connection)?
I want to run from my computer the repository (be able to change it) without terminal session.
    Thanks.

  • In Module, the Basic panel (white balance, color saturation and tonal scale) disappeared.  How can I restore these tools?

In Develop Module, the Basic Panel (white balance, color saturation and tonal scale) disappeared.  How can I restore these tools?

When you say the Basic panel has disappeared, do you mean the whole right side panel or individual tools such as the White Balance tool is gone? If it is the whole right side panel that is missing, you may have hidden it. Using the Tab key, you can cycle between hiding and showing the side panels. You can also move your mouse over to the far right side of your screen to get the panel restored but it will disappear when you move your mouse off the panel. There is also a small triangle on the left edge of the right panel that you can right click on in order to determine the show/hide behavior (I personally use the manual mode).
Regarding the individual windows contained in the left/right panels, they can be opened and closed by clicking of the triangle that is displayed next to name of the tool in its header bar. While you can elect what modules will be shown on the LR Top panel, I am not aware of any mechanism to completely hide individual tools in the left/right panels. If all else failes, you can hit the Shift/Tab key combo a few times to restore all of your windows the the default behavior.

  • Asha 501 - Can't set individual contact ring tone ...

I cannot see any profiles in my asha 501. I need to manually adjust every time the settings, I can only see the silent option beside the mobile data pack.
Also, can't set indiviual contact ringtone, not sure if other phones in asha series support this
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    @vsai :
I think you don't check the settings.
The option to set individual ringtone is possible in asha 501. Its an asha but can do MORE.
Go to a contact open it,swipe from down tap on edit and now again swipe from down and tap on ADD DETAILS and there u find a RINGTONE option select on that and choose your favourite one.

  • Individual posts (KSB1 and KOB1)

    Hi
    Please Give solution for this
Since the installation of a User-Exit COOMEP01(EXIT_SAPLKAEP_001,EXIT_SAPLKAEP_003) the access to individual posts (KSB1 and KOB1) do not function from the Report-Painter-Report ZRKTOI01 (library ZRK) via the report/report-interface.
Instead of individual posts the error message "individual posts are possible only for sum totals" is displayed.
In case of the Report-Painter-Reports this failure does not occur.
    Thanks&Regards,
    Hari

    Da Gopha,
There is no way of being able to link to a single particular post in a thread.
Unless you use Tree View, there is no way of finding out the URL of an individual post - the best you can get is the thread URL. The green 'Permalink' icons (green pins on each post) only point to the whole thread, and not the individual posts on the thread.
If the post you want to directly link to has been replied to and
If you are in Flat View then you can easily link to it.
Click on the little blue arrow or user name just to the right of the date-and-time stamp of the post that replies to the one you want to link to. This takes you directly to the post you want to link.
Click on the icon in the browser address bar. This will highlight the complete address exactly as you want it. No need to replace postreply with message or duplicate the number of the post.
    Copy link to clipboard.
Go to your post box and paste the link. From here you can do the HTML thing as desired.
So if Jdee wanted to post a link to Lori’s Response for JiveSoftware..
Typically, posts that are worth linking to have been replied to, so the real requirement for this manual work around is to be in Flat View.

  • Tools in cs5

i have cs5 suite. last week everything fine in photoshop. this week, only the tools that are showing are available to use. i can not access the tools when i click on the corner of individual tools. driving me nuts! i am running version 10.6.8

Generally, GUI display issues are related to video drivers, but with a Mac, the video drivers are updated with the OS. Have you updated your OS from Apple recently?
Also, mouse, or tablet drivers can cause similar. Not sure about the tablet, if you have one, but would assume that the mouse driver would also be updated with the Mac OS.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
