  • ITunes license prompt appears every time

This is a problem I've been having for a long time, even before iTunes 7 came out. Every time I boot iTunes, I get asked to accept the license agreement. I know this isn't standard behavior because it doesn't happen on my wife's Mac. This has even persisted after a complete archive and re-install of OSX 10.4.8.
(iPhoto also asks me if I want to use it to be my default program for digital cameras every time I boot it up -- this might be a related problem).

There is nothing in the STB that can be set to override this. There might be a setting that could be tweaked in the AV receiver though, but we would be no help locating it. I apologize there are incompatibly issues with your AV receiver. We try to make our products as compatible with most products. Yours just happens to be a problematic one. Instead of running both audio and video to your AV receiver, run just audio through a SPDIF cable to the receiver and Video through component to the TV.

  • License agreement prompts each time users launch

We recently implemented Creative Cloud for teams and I am receiving complaints from my end users that they are continually prompted to accept the Adobe License Agreement each time they sign in and launch each and every product. They say they get them even after the initial sign in and acceptance, each time they launch the product. Is there a way to stop this annoyance? If we sign in and agree to the T/C's once, it should not repeat.

    Hi TLK12371,
I'm wondering if it is somehow related to limited user rights, Does the same thing occur when working in account with full local admin rights?

  • How do you turn off the recent files window (DC) that appears EVERY time after I close a PDF I just exported to from InDesign?

It's a real PITA to have to close that window every single time. Mac OSX Yosemite 10.10.3 Acrobat DC

Someone else reported this sound last September, but there wasn't any resolution to that thread: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/938003 After upgrading to Snow Leopard on my Mac, Firefox makes typewriter or paper crinkling sounds when going to links and sites].
Does it seem to be at all related to whether pages use Flash? Just wondering whether it is some kind of notification sound related to Flash's capabilities of using the webcam and microphone.

  • Why does CC need my login every time I launch a CC program?

On my Windows 7 64 bit system with some CS6 and CC programs and running from an administrator account with UAC set at "never notify" I'm being asked for my login just about every time I launch any CC program.
This is has been slowly getting. This is not following any system change, new CC install or any other system change or crash I'm aware of.
I know others have had this problem but if there is a definitive fix available I can't find it.
    Is there a fix?
I'll leave the obligatory complaints about how annoying this is out but be assured, they're there!
    Thanks,
    Tom

  • License Agreement Screen Appears Every Time I Open iTunes

iTunes acts as if this is a brand new install every time the software opens. Viewing settings are no longer saved forcing me to reset the menu and sidebars. Playback is not seamless between CD tracks. I have uninstalled software and all related programs, re-installed all and continue with the same issues.

I am having the same issue since yesterday.  Every time I launch itunes, the license agreement comes up.
I decided to upgrade to itunes 11.1.3 to see if the problem might go away, but the problem is still there.
    I am on Windows 8.

  • On my registered iTunes computer, the following message appears every time one plugs in a device and refuses to load said device to be synced: "This iPod cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started". They are all registered. Help

On my registered iTunes computer, the following message appears every time one plugs in a device and refuses to load said device to be synced: "This iPod cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started". Each device has been registered onto this account and this computer, and all have worked finely in the past. I am so confused as to why now seemingly without reason, none of our apple devices (one iPod, two iPhones) are allowed to have music and other material downloaded onto them. Also, as a side note, they still are charged by plugging them into the computer, however they do not even show up on the left-hand sidebar in iTunes.
It should also be noted that for my iPhone it does not allow for the new update software to be uploaded; it just says that an error has occurred, nothing more.

  • Registration window appears every time I open InDesign...and it's already registered

After a recent computer crash, I reloaded ID CS2 on a new system and even though it's been successfully activated and registered, the registration window is appearing every time I open InDesign. I received an e-mail from Adobe thanking me for registering, including the special "offer" I can now take advantage of...so I know it's registered.
How can I stop that registration window from appearing every time I open InDesign?

    Bob,
Can you be a bit more specific?
My Registration Window just recently started popping up, too, even though it's been registered -- and registered -- several times.
    I went to:
    - Control Panel, then selected
    - Security Center, then selected
    - "Change the way Security Center alerts me"
    I'm presented with three options:
    1. Yes, notify me and display the icon (recommended);
    2. Don't notify me, but display the icon; and
    3. Don't notify me and don't display the icon (not recommended).
So, which choice would still keep my system protected, but get rid of the irritating Registration Window from popping up each time I start Adobe?
    Thanks.

  • Licensing agreement appears on client computer

I'm updating a Visual Basic 2003 app to VB/Visual Studio 2008. The app uses a number of Crystal Reports, and I'm using the CR version embedded in VS for those reports (CR not purchased separately). I've set the Setup project to install the CR runtime modules as part of the app installation (checking it as a Prerequisite that needs to be installed in the Setup project's properties).
When the app installation starts on a new computer, I'm getting a license agreement for Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008. The license agreement seems to be the same as I would have agreed to when I installed VS 2008 as a developer--it talks about having a license to redistribute CR as long as it's in conjunction with a VS application. But that's not relevant to a user of my application, who doesn't have VS installed on their computer. I didn't have a license agreement like this pop up when my VB/VS 2003 application was installed. Have I set up the installation process incorrectly, or is Business Objects just getting more legalistic? (The irony is that the agreement states that I shouldn't advertise the CR name in conjunction with my software, but the display of the agreement forces everyone to know that CR is used.)

I haven't responded sooner because I was trying out some different scenarios.
I downloaded the file you suggested. When I installed it on a computer that didn't have .Net Framework 3.5, I got the following error message:
Error 1304. Error writing to file: CrystalDecisions.Data.AdoDotNetInterop.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory.
However, after installing the Framework, it ran correctly. I can see the files in Program Files\Business Objects. (I see the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\10.5\Crystal Reports, but there is no cr ent or cr dev.) I did not get a licensing agreement popup during installation.
After installing the CR modules that way, when I run the Setup.exe program that Visual Studio places in the output folder, I continue to get the prompt for the licensing agreement. (This happens whether or not CR is listed as a prerequisite.) However, if I just double-click on the application's .msi installer file, it installs without a message. That's because, though, it's not installing CR.
This may be a clue: I've noticed that if I uncheck both Windows Installer and Crystal Reports as prerequisites, I still get subfolders CrystalReports10_5 and WindowsInstaller3_1 for the Release folder. I wouldn't have expected that.
I tried to start fresh with a completely new project, following the sample steps to create an application with Crystal Reports that are laid out in the online help. Oddly, when I follow those steps (using the Windows Installer deployment instructions), the CR runtime modules aren't installed at all. I noticed that CR wasn't checked as a Prerequisite in the Publish page of the project's properties, but checking didn't make a difference. Changing the Publish Status setting for the CR files in Application Files on the Publish page from Prerequisite (Auto) to Include doesn't make any difference; the CR runtime still isn't part of the package, and doesn't install, so the app crashes when I try to run it. Pre-installing the CR runtime solves the problem, but the point of setting up a deployment project is supposed to be to have all that done automatically.
