Re: License Software every time I run a Creative Cloud App?

Hi Jeff, I appear to be having the windows 7 64 bit situation with all my CC apps. Two weeks ago they started asking me to sign in to verify the register (rather than having to "re-register") everytime I use them.
The support post http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/64-bit-creative-suite-applications-repeatedly.htm l still show no solution. Am I looking int he right place, i.e., is this the same issue and is there possibly a solution for this vaguely annoying situation?

I logged in on to my backup admin user account and your supposition is correct. I opened Fireworks, Dreamweaver and Photoshop (64bit) in that order. All opened without incident until Photoshop and it asked me to sign in which I did and that was the end of it....
What next? - please don't tell me I have to setup another account and migrate....
I await your reply with all extremities crossed!

I have the same problem
I had to uninstall Photoshop CS6 because of Problems with Extension Manager.
I installed Photoshop over the Appliacation Manager and updated it just after install.
Now not my "simple" Photoshop starts-starting is Photoshop Extended in Trial Mode.
I deactivate the product and have to start PS two times until the "license this product" comes up. I can login with my adobe id and license the product. But after some time not starting Photoshop or after a reboot this is gone and i have a trial version of the extended again and have to the steps again.
I'm a little mad because i thought this problem had been fixed. Before uninstalling and installing Photoshop i didn't have this problem.
I already deleted the entries of the Adobe PCD folder, with no luck.
I hope there's a solution for this?!

License confirmation each time I run a creative cloud program

Each time I run a Creative Cloud program, I am asked to confirm the licence.
Sometimes it states that it is 'trial software'.
I've downloaded the software directly from Adobe. It's not a major issue, as it works when I confirm it, but it's definitely annoying and if you try to open a file through Windows Explorer, the licence screen stops it opening.
Any ideas?

Tablets that can run full Creative Cloud apps

I have heard that the Pro series of the surface tablets, is the only tablet on the market, that has the ability to run Creative Cloud apps.

The system requirements for Cloud apps include Windows 7, Windows 8 or Mac OS X 10.7+.

How to I stop Adobe Application Manager appearing and asking me to sign in every time I open a Creative Cloud application?

I'm all up to date and I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling all my Adobe software. I'm on a Mac using the latest version of OSX. The issue has been happening since I switched to a different Adobe ID about a week ago.

Thanks for your reply. I've tried removing 'OPM.db' a few times now, restarting etc but I still have the same problem. The Application Manager still appears every time I open a CC app.
It appears twice when I open a CC application - the first time it asks me to sign in. Upon signing in, I get a 'Thank you' message. Then after the application has loaded it appears again telling me 'Don't let a good thing come to an end' and gives me the option to either 'License the software' or 'Start Trial'. I choose 'License the software' and I have to sign in again. I then get another 'Thank you' message!

Why do I have to sign in every single time I launch a creative cloud app?

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the request of a stranger on a public message board. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed: Copy a line of text from this web page into the window of another application. Wait for the script to run. It usually takes a few minutes. Then paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page. The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. Details follow.
4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

Thanks for the clarification on the terms. I consider myself proficent at my computer, but not exactly in its inner-workings! I have 8 GB of memory installed.
I am still confused as to why I do not have any space for the program. This is the exact error message I get: "There is not enough free space on Macintosh HD disk. The Print Shop 2 application requires about 550 MB to be installed. Free some disk space and try again."

Make sure there's enough free space on the startup disk to install software updates...
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.

I own fully paid for license for Dreamweaver CS6. Every time I click to open the app, I get a very annoying pop-up message. How do I stop it?

Every time I click to open the app, and before I can start using CS6, I get a very annoying pop-up message (see screen shot below) that states I have a trial version and do I want to buy into the cloud version, which I don't. How do I stop the pop-up? This message seems to originate from the Extension Manager.
I tried trashing Extension Manager, but another annoying pops-up which states that I have to "reinstall the application manager". Of course, there is no such thing as a "application manager" that I can find. I guess it should be "extension manager".
I no longer own Photoshop because there are so many great alternatives available. Can't wait to do the same with Dreamweaver.
Adobe can't even get the correct cost. I'm an US Customer however they quote the Creative Cloud in Euros. Go figure........

I have faced this problem in the past. In my case, I had Adobe registered under two separate ID. One when a student and the second as a regular employed individual. Because I purchased the licensed while at the University, the registration was listed under the school id. So, when I login in Adobe using my regular ID, I then received the annoying marketing campaign add.
Therefore, review that you have enter the correct id during loging. IT is possible that you login to the community as one ID but purchased the subscription using a separate user name. In these cases, the computer will not know that you already have a paying license.

Time Machine doing a full backup every time it runs

My Time Machine seems to be doing a full backup every time it runs on the hour. The backup size is about 19GB. Shouldn't hourly and daily backups be much smaller after you run Time Machine for the first time?
I remember a while back, my hourly backups were a couple of minutes.....now they are 30 minutes.

Photoshop Elements 12 crashes every time I run the editor

Every time I run the editor, the program crashes. The organizer works fine. I have a i7, Win 8.1 16GB RAM and 2GB video memory. Lightroom 5.3 works fine. I have the same problem with the editor of Premiere Elements 12.
Any suggestions?

Has it ever worked right? If so, I would start the editor while holding down ctrl+alt+shift. Keep the keys down till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.
If it has never worked, I would uninstall and reinstall, but be sure to disable your antivirus and anything from symantec/norton during the installation.

Why is it that every time I run a Flash update I find my update options have changed?
It is getting irritating to keep having to click that I do not want to automatically run updates. I am tempted to just turn off updates completely.
Would it not be too difficult to keep the settings previously used?
