RoboHelp 8.0.1 Update not finding installed version 8

I downloaded and installed (using default options on a Windows XP machine) Adobe RoboHelp 8 trial about a month ago, paid for a license and activated it.
When I click on Help > Update, I see that an update to 8.0.1 is available. I download it and run it and start the setup process but then says a popup says: "Adobe RoboHelp 8 is not installed. Please install Adobe RoboHelp 8 before applying this patch." and the update fails to install.
Any idea why it's not finding my installation? The Help > About says I have version 8.0.0.203

Was there ever any fix for this? I am having the same problem. Have not moved any directories. When I open Robohelp, the version says 8.0.1.204, but when I try and get the 8.0.2 updates, it says that I do not have 8.0.1 installed. I manually ran the 8.0.1 update from the adobe site without error (just in case) and continue to get the error that 8.0.1 is not installed. I have also tried manually running the 8.0.2 update from the site and still get the error.
The file path is C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 8\RoboHTML.
The actual version number on robohelphtml.exe file is 8.0.0.203.

Live Update won't install latest Realtek HD driver

My headphones stopped working last week and despite all attempts to do so I can't get them to operate when plugged into the front panel USB with the mic in the audio jack.
The software recognises the input but I hear no sounds.
I decided today to reinstall the HD driver from the MSI disk that came with the board; no difference. I thought the Live Update would fix it- ran and identified the latest patch 6.0.1.7069 from the installed 6.0.1.7037.
Ran the update but I now get "No driver was supported in this package".
Any thoughts how to rectify?
As a last resort I could roll back to another much earlier restore point but this wouldn't be ideal.

Would be nice to know what mainboard is even being discussed. If the driver off the disc or MSI Website isn't working, go to vendor's Website and download and try their newest driver.

Updates Show After Installed?

I just installed CS6. So, I selected Help-->Updates in Photoshop and discovered just about every app in the suite needed to be updated. So, I downloaded and installed the updates, rebooted, opened PS, checked for updates, and the same udpates all show as available.
Shouldn't the Update Manager check my current versions and recognize everything is already updated? Maybe I am missing a setting?

1. Search "This Mac" in the Finder for outdated copies of the app(s) that keep being updated. Delete any you find. Make sure the search scope is "This Mac" or you may miss some.
2. If the search results seem to be inaccurate, rebuild the Spotlight index. If you try to search now, there will be an indication that indexing is in progress.
3. If the above steps don't resolve the problem, back up all data, then quit each app in question and uninstall it by following the instructions on this page. Alternatively, you can drag it from the Applications folder to the Trash, and empty. The data files you created will be preserved. Verify in Spotlight that there are now no copies of the app on your system. Download it from your Purchases history in the App Store.

Updates showing wrong apple ID

I am NOT an end user. I am a technical support and phone administrator at my place of employment. I have searched this problem, but it seems that most people are receiving it under different circumstances than I am.
We have approximately 20 lines with AT&T that are iPhones. I am regularly upgrading iPhones as upgrades become available to my end users or when they are having issues with their old phone. When the new phone comes in, I encrypt backup their old phone to my laptop in iTunes so that I can restore it to their new phone. I generally will backup their apps and have them put in their Apple ID if they want their apps restored.
Once I'm done with the process, I deauthorize their phone from iTunes on my laptop and I remove their backup, so that it doesn't interfere at all with my own iPhone.
I have one user who received an upgrade about a month ago. I followed the same process that I always follow - did an encrypted backup to my laptop, had him punch in his apple ID password to backup his apps, backed everything up, then restored it to his new phone. I had NO other backups or authorized devices in iTunes (apart from my own).
When he tries to run updates to apps (via App Store > Updates), it is prompting him to enter the password for an Apple ID that belongs to one of my OTHER users. It does NOT do this when he downloads new apps. His Apple ID is correct in both iCloud settings and iTunes settings. There appears to be "nothing" on his brand new phone linking him to the other person's Apple ID, EXCEPT when he is running Updates on his apps.
Why is this Apple ID lingering in there when it has had ZERO association with this phone except for having been connected to the same laptop and iTunes as another user's phone (even though the other user's backup and authorization has been removed from the laptop?).
Today, I logged onto a different computer which has never had iTunes installed. I installed iTunes, ran an encrypted backup on his phone, then factory reset his phone and restored the encrypted backup to his phone. I am hoping that this resolves the problem, but when I go to App Store > Purchased > Not on this iPhone, it still seems to show apps that other people have downloaded (including apps that I have downloaded on my own phone). I don't understand why other people's data and past purchase/download history is lingering on phones and Apple ID's that are not attached to these phones and Apple ID's.

There is a definitely a defect here and I think I know what the problem might be. I had experienced this issue with 8.1.3 on an iPhone 5 as well. I recently needed to restore a replacement (new) iPhone 5 from a backup that I maintain on a MacBook. In addition to the backup of my phone, there is also a backup for my wife's phone as well. The backup from which I restored my phone, was a few months old, so naturally there were several apps that needed to be updated. I can't remember if I had explictly started the appstore, or if an auto-update kicked in, but I was prompted for the password for my wife's user id. Which I thought was odd, because I knew that my credentials were correctly set in for the appstore settings. I had somewhere on the order of 20 apps that needed updating and I had tried to download a couple of new apps to see if I could isolate it to the app update process vs. a new app download process. At first it seemed I was unable to download anything, but a little later on I notice the new apps that I had chose to download had been done so successfully. I then tried to update a couple more apps, which I was able to do. So the symptom of nothing downloading is attributable to network flakiness either for my WiFi or with Comcast. But the prompting problem remained and there were a small number of apps that I couldn't download using my own credentials. So I double checked my wife's older iPhone 4 and I found that the apps for which I was being prompted, were on her phone as well. I then found that I could delete those apps and just download them again, rather than try to update and I was able to get back to normal.
My wife isn't the most diligent about keeping her phone up to date with the latest version of apps (no auto-update turned on), particularly for apps that she uses infrequently or never. But when I looked on my phone, I saw that the apps that I had been unable to update were restored to be from older versions from her phone, and not newer updated ones that I had actually backed up.
At some point in the iTunes backup/restore process data was either overwritten or read incorrectly. I'm guessing that the problem is on the restore side, because I had backed up my phone more recently than when my wife's phone had been backed up. I was lucky that we only had a small overlap in the number of apps, but I can imagine in scenario like that experienced by UnixChick, where there might be many more overlapping apps for many more phones, the problem can be costly from a support perspective.
So the workaround will be for each of the users to try to update as many apps as possible and delete the ones for which they are being prompted with incorrect credentials and download those anew. I can imagine that if the any of apps don't do a very good job of ensuring that state is persisted remotely, that there could be some data loss as well. One thing I am uncertain about is if any application data from the app versions that were restored from my wife's backup was surfaced on my phone. Now I doubt that would happen, but if it were to happen, that could be a potential security problem, were any of that data to be sensitive.

Already installed update shows both installed and available

I installed iMovie update 10.0.2 within the last month, and it shows as being installed, yet the same version shows as "1 Update available" and I get reminders daily. I have cancelled installation (option key) but it remains. How do I remove this 1 Update available. I don't have unlimited broadband to download this almost 2Gb again?

i am using 64 bit windows 7 ... when unable to playing video, it redirects me to the adobe download pages to get flash player ... the page says i am about to download flashplayer for win7 64 bit, of 9MB approximately, but the file i get has name "install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih.exe" (NOTE THE NUMBER 32) and this file just wont install it ends with error message: HOST: Unable to load application configuration ...
By google i found also file install_flashplayer11x64_mssd_aih.exe (NOTE THE NUMBER 64) ... this file runs the install, i get the final screen saying "installation completed" but after clicking the "finish" button i get an error message saying "an error occured while sending a command to the program" ...
I am just getting mad ... its 3 days i am trying to figure aout this problem ...
i also tryed files as "install_flash_player_11_plugin.exe" , "install_flash_player_11_plugin.msi" , "install_flash_player_11_active_x.exe" and "install_flash_player_11_active_x.msi" ... those files actually proceeds with the install, but at the end, the videos are still not displaying ...
When i am checking the plugins statuses in my firefox addons manager, it says Shockwave Flash is all right ...
The precedent version of flash player was working just fine, i do not understand why you must make such a mess every 2 months ...

System shows wrong product version in smsy and SMD Setup Wizard

We have a SOLMAN EHP1 SPS22 running. The Satellite systems are correctly registered in SLD, also the SOLMAN Fetchjobs is running successfully.
I wanted to run the SMD Setup for a NetWeaver ABAP system, when I click in the Setup Wizard on the System the following link is under Managed Products apears: [NOT DIAGNOSTICS RELEVANT] .
By clicking the link you get the products to be managed, but i only two products are for selection.
SAP ERP 6.0 and SAP FSCM 6.0.
In smys checked the assignment in Systems --> <SID> in the Header Tab I clicked Installed Product version. The List in the Pulldown menu in "Product" are the same as above: SAP ERP 6.0 and SAP FSCM 6.0.
I tried to assign the product manually with no luck. Running the Solman_setup for the Diagnostics did not solve the problem either.

Hi Stuart,
In SolMan, goto t-code SMSY-> Product Definitions-> Select any product.
On the right hand side, click on the button "System Roles"-> Click "Select Product".
Now activate the relevant product as required by clicking on the "Active" checkbox.

Why does iphone 5C app updates show wrong login name?

When I go to the app store to update apps, a name I've never seen before comes up as the login. It's disturbing. Is this a security risk?

You've got an app that is owned by another ID. If this was warez, then yeah there would be a security risk there.

Unable to update bootcamp and install/find right driver for windows 7 64 bit

I am trying to install windows 7 Enterpris 64 bit on MBA with i7, agter I downloaded the bootcamp windows driver while MBA was running Lion on a flash drive. after installing windows 7 tried to install bootcamp via flashdrive get error "not intended for the hardware" I tried to all boot cam version 3.1/3.2/3.3, tried the bootcamp with driver downloaded via Mac Book Pro which seems Ver 4.0 still no sucess. tried to install the driver missing PCI simple communication, some time trackpad freezes, and have to reinstall all over again, and some time unable to pass login screen as CTRL+ALT+DEL won't work, have to use onscreen keyboard to login. please help? thanks

You need 3.0 installed, 3.1 etc are updates, and they need something to update.
How do you plan on dealing with Firmware Updates without an OSX partition?

Updated sound drivers, but Live Update still shows I have older version?

I updated my onboard sound card drivers last night, and I came back to msi live to make sure, and it says that I am still on version 5.10.00.5420, while the online version is 5.10.00.5560...this is how it was last night before I updated..

915P Neo2 - Live Update - IAA

I have a problem with Live Update on my 915p Neo2.
Live Update reports the latest IAA version as 4.5.0.6515 the installed version as 4.5.0.6515 but the actual installed version is 4.7.0.6815.
I have updated IAA separately outside of Live Update, but Live Update should show the installed version correctly as 4.7.0.6815 but it does'nt.
Anyone?

I think you need to dig to the device manager and check the real driver version. Live Update may report the wrong thing? Or you actually didn't manage to install the later version?

Display device : MSI N560GTX Ti Twin Frozr II on GF114 GPU

BIOS : 70.24.11.00.00
GUID : VEN_10DE&DEV_1200&SUBSYS_23821462&REV_A1&BUS_2&DEV_0&FN_0
Sometimes , Battlefield 3 crashes and I return to desktop.
I've read that a bios update can be a solution.
So, I've downloaded Live Update 5 and installed it. No problem.
But when I launch it, it happens nothing. The process LU5.exe starts for a few seconds and stopped without any messages.
So, is it necessary to update my video bios and how can I start Live Update ?

If you read thru posts concerning Vbios upgrade you will realize that using Live Update isn't the most safe way of updating bios. Said that I also found out that something is wrong with the latest build of Live Update 5. You can install it but when you try to launch it nothing will happen.
Live Update 5 version 5.0.060 works fine and says my bios is the same as yours, and that there is no need to update.
I believe BF3 is just a buggy game that needs to be patched
