Re-load Button

Hi,
I use historyManagement to enable the back button and that works fine.
But, I noticed that if I hit the re-load button that the "page" re-loads, but it loses all of the info from database calls. So, for example, if I use a remote call to place an image, if the re-load button is hit, I lose the image.
How do you manage this problem? What's the best strategy?

I think the best strategy is before you hit reload button store all the things that you got from database call into local objects like in array collection or any collection objects. And then you can use them in click event of reload button....

  • Hit the application loader button and I accidentally removed everything from my phone.

    When I turned my computer on, the Blackberry Desktop Manager popped up.   I hit the application loader button and it completely deleted everything that was in my phone.  Is there anyway to get my information back.  I assume it is somewhere in my computer now and I am hoping I can reverse the process.  I noticed now that it says disconnected.  Obviously I am new to the process. Please help!  Thanks!!

    Have you done at least one backup action before with Blackberry Desktop Manager ?
    If yes - check your "My Documents" folder. There is a file with extension ipd
    And into this file there is the saved data from your device.

  • Firefox won't stay in many websites, but appeares to be forced to go somewhere else. Only "stop loading" button stops it. How can I cure this?

    It's often a race to press the "stop loading" button before the browser goes to another site, or just hangs on a blank screen.

  • FileSelect​Popup Load button says Directory History

    This is something new today, and it worked just fine last week.
    FileSelectPopup Load button says "Directory History" instead of Load

    I found a thread that talked about mixed languages and mentions the file c:\Windows\system32\cvirte\bin\msgrte.txt

    My app installed on another PC work correctly; the load button says Load!
    I am using CVI 9.0.1
    How do I fix this?
    I'm thinking it is only my PC that is messed up.

    Do you have CVI installed on the problem machine? Yes
    What does the dialog box look like when from the CVI project window you go to File >> Open >> Source ? It looks correct, it has the "Load" button (hmmmm! interesting)!
    Does the dialog box behave as expected if you click the mislabeled button? Yes
    Does anything change if you replace VAL_LOAD_BUTTON with VAL_OK_BUTTON? Now the button says "N_etwork..."  I just noticed, the next popup should be one with an "OK" button, but it has "Remove" on it.
    Do you know of anything that has changed on the problem PC in the past week? Lotus Notes script was run to change server (which would not surprise me if it screwed this up); otherwise, nothing.

    You need to turn on Photo Stream in iPhoto on your laptop to view the last 30 days of photos.
    The rest of your camera roll can't be viewed but can be restored when you get the device back.

    The address you provided, http://,k/ is not a valid address. It never worked and never will work. Valid addresses are of the form http://somedomainname.topleveldomain.
    See the difference? Your address will never work. Once again clear your browser cahe and retype the correct address in the browsers address bar. At some point you likely incorrectlt typed http://,k/ into the address bar and that address is not cached in your browser.

  • Went to turn my ipod 4g off and it just shows the loading button.

    Any error numbers or messages given with the error?
    Try to reset your ipod by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again.

  • Iolo System Mechanic app failed and has caused FF not to act right - not loading buttons and some web pages to be a list instead of what the UI should look like.... I have reinstalled but still have the problem and not sure what to do

    Basically certain web pages are not loading proper since app Iolo System Mechanic failed. I have reinstalled FF but still not loading right. Buttons are not showing and some pages are in a list instead of the GUI view.

    I installed and uninstalled Firefox several times - finaly after I selected NOT to have Firefox as the default browser, the installation worked and pages loads correctly now! I made Firefox the default browser after the successful installation!

  • XML scrolling thumbnail, image loader, & Buttons [halfway works]

    Intro:
    I started a flash-based website a few years ago. Back in 2006 I was able to get a xml scrolling thumbnail, image loader to work without a glitch.
    For numerous reasons I had to put the project on hold until now. [one was that my 30 day trial of flash expired and only recently was I able to purchase the Adobe Web Suite CS4 as well as a new computer which could run the apps.]
    Last Friday saw a bump in the road in the development of my site as two, rather straightforward task, turned into something short of a nightmare as I have been unable to get past these two, seemingly, relatively simple task.
    I have posted in 4 other flash forums the issues, in detail, that I am facing - and have quite a bit of interest/views in the topic as the numbers suggest - yet no response/answer as of yet. [Which confirms other messages I have seen which seem to state that working with buttons has become increasingly difficult with the newer version of flash - something Im a bit surprised with actually from Adobe. - I would have thought there would be a palette where you could set parameters...]

    Before getting into the two questions I have, I would like to post an image of the site as it looks whenever an swf file is saved out, as well as a piece of the timeline in the back for reference.
    Issue #1
    As of now when the swf file is saved out you get exactly what you see above:
    a: A scrolling thumbnail
    b: ...which loads a large image when clicked on it - PEFECT...
    BUT...
    1a: I need for the buttons to load in this action, not for it to just load on its own.
    [i.e., the silk_paintings gallery is what is open, so I need the "silk_paintings" button to call up this action]
    note: Initially I had attacked this problem by taking out the actions layer you see above and applying it directly to the individual buttons with some crude MouseEvent Listener/Handerls... that did not work - at all.
    Im sure it may be "easier" to make an array out of it, but with my coding level it may be "easier" to apply it to the buttons.
    1b: How I currently see it, I would take the xml-list and duplicate it for the number of galleries I have.
    [I would then re-name the xml-list to reflect the name of the galleries they are to represent, i.e. "silk_paintings"]
    [also, I would have to rename the folders to "thumbnails1,2,3, etc., & "images 1,2,3, etc"
    From there I would duplicate the actions and paste it into the buttons, changing the xml-list name to that of "silk_paintings", etc., as well as write in the MouseEvent listener Handler to make it work. [ah, ha, but what is that magic phrase, I have tried to implement various code from other tutorials, and all in vein.]
    Issue #2
    At this point I would be tickled pink just to get this to basic function to work.
    However, once the buttons are working and calling up the xml, etc., then I need the buttons to stay on the semi-transparent blue color it is whenever in the 'hit' state. [note: NOT pictured above.]
    With the way the buttons are currently set up, and with wanting to use scripting to get them to interact with the thumbnail gallery, it will have to be some miraculous code to tell that button what color to stay as whenever its clicked, and of course it going back to white when another button is clicked.
    Conclusion:
    Since this is an Adobe Forum I would like to make a few additional statements in hopes that the developers, etc. may take heed.
    Adobes products are not cheap, and when I went to purchase the websuite I went in as a designer needing a program as not to need to program.
    I understand the flexibility that coding gives, but something as simple as linking buttons should not be in the realms of rocket science. [yes, for many its not...but my brain just does not operate that route despite all the tutorials thrown at me.]
    Again, it would seem that there would be a button panel where you could drag options like scrolling thumbnail slider, loader, and then parameters would come up. [much like Apples iWeb. - but before the argument of one being pro and the other for non-pros, I see it differently. Software should not be the limiting factor in how flexible you can design, or rather ones lack of programming shouldnt be. With all the talented, and I say this in all humility and honesty, programmers working for Adobe, Im sure something could be programmed like what Im asking for.]
    note: Director is a good example, back in 1997 I knew nothing of multimedia and in one week I had assembled a portfolio, clicking buttons, speech, movies, and all. - and no, I dont have the money to buy more software!
    At this moment I am at the mercy of someone who reads code like its a nighttime tale they are telling their kids, and who can see the exact issue I have and can share the appropriate, correct code. [as I have noticed, it has to be on target - naturally - but this target changes with just a slight change in the design.]

    The issues with the buttons calling up the scrolling thumbnail panel have been resolved, as well as keeping the buttons in their hit state once clicked, thanks to Rob.
    Those that have been following this thread, or stumble upon it in their searches later, may appreciate to see the final solution to this particular issue.
    [Hopefully I will be able to update this thread with a url in the future to show the site in operation, which may help somebody with their project in the future if its set up similarly.]
    Alas, it would be nice if future versions of flash had a more direct, flexible, user friendly method for creating navigation.
    [We may see development beyond the flash ads which everyone seems to loathe... and more creativity with flash in terms of games, web interactivity, &  animation.

  • Why is the "cancel loading" button not placeable right beside the "reload page" button?

    Hi Folks,
    I have a quite unusual issue with Nightly build 15.0a1 (x64) on Windows x64.
    I can not place the button to cancel loading a webpage right beside the reload page button - everywhere else it is possible to place it, but not at this specific location. If I do so, it becomes visible in the customize wizard but not in normal view. In normal view it is only visible when placed on other locations.

    Any particular reason why you are testing the unstable Nightly channel builds (which 15.0a1 just barely started on) ?.
    Also note that the Win64 builds are more experimental and not officially supported (no timetable for nay future release to have Win64 yet) so if there is a regression or a server for the daily builds goes down it may take a while fix due to lower priority compared to the officially supported Win32 builds. The Win32 builds should work anyways if not better anyways.

  • Load buttons into a movie from outside source

    Hi,
    I am making a scrollpane with buttons in it numbered from 1
    to about 100. I may start off with numbers 1, 3, 4, 6,9, etc. I
    want to be able to add 2, 5, 7, and 8 later and still have the
    buttons show up in numerical order. Any idea how I could do that.
    Is it possible.

    The movies that I want to play one after another are not that
    large, all are between 250K and 1MB, but there are 10 altogether.
    There is no interactivity in any of the .swf's. This is just a
    linear animation which needs to be broken down into pieces because
    one .swf containing the whole animation would be about 18MB.
    I have a basic to intermediate understanding of
    actionscripting, but I'm a designer not a programmer and find some
    of this difficult. Can someone please tell me if the code below
    would work?
    For example if I have a main fla. and it contains an empty
    movieclip with an instance name MC,

  • Movie Clip loading buttons require double clicking on the first attempt

    I have created a number of buttons that load move clips into
    an empty movie clip. The problem is that it takes several clicks to
    activate the first clip button then the buttons behave as they are

    The reload button and the stop button do not appear on the toolbar in beta 7. I can reload a tab from the context menu for the tab, not as easy but it can be done. But I can see no way to stop a page load. So how?

    Firefox 4.0 has a combined Reload and Stop button that appears at the far right of the location bar.
    * Open the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window to move them out of the location bar.
    * Swap the two buttons or move them to their previous position at the left of the location bar.
    * If the order is "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
    * Swap the order to "Stop - Reload" or separate them otherwise to get two distinct buttons.

  • Missing Re-load Button

    On my computer Safari 4 has no reload button. Not in the toolbar nor in the address bar. There is not a reload button in the "customize tool bar" folder.
    Why was this "convenience" item removed? Does some Apple developer think it's cool to make it inconvenient for the user? Dumb and dumber.

    Looks like this:
    If you don't see the load/stop indicators, quit Safari. Then, go to the Finder: drag to the desktop the com.apple.safari.plist file found in your User Account>Library>Preferences folder.
    Restart Safari. Does the reload show up now? If this works you'll need to reset your Safari preferences to your liking, plus any custom settings found in the Edit Menu (spelling) or View Menu (status bar, Address bar, custom icons in the "Customize Address Bar" ).
