RE: Missing Library Items CS6

Hello Everyone.
I am Downloading the Missing Library from this Link, Is this  the correct Link ?
http://helpx.adobe.com/encore/using/download-library-content.html
After I Downloaded the Zip Folder, Where Do I need to copy paste the Items ?
I looked under Adobe/ Adobe Encore CS6, but  I Dont see any folder called Library.
Please let me know where I have to copy paste the files
Thanks.

>Where Do I need to copy paste the Items ?
It tells you at that link
Depending upon your operating system, copy the Library, main, Styles, and Template folders from the folder containing the extracted library content to the appropriate location:
Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS6\
You will then have
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS6\\Library
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS6\\Library\Corporate
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS6\\Library\Education
...and so on for all of the folders

  • Exporting to Flash, missing library item?

    I am using Flash 8 (also tried CS3, but flash 8 seems to
    import Captivate much better) and Captivate 3.
    I want to create a project following the steps outlined in
    this adobe article.
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/captivate/articles/cpvideo_03.html
    (this is the link to page 3 where the steps to exporting to flash
    are outlined)
    I am unable to because an item the author says should be in
    the Flash library is missing. From the article:
    quote:
    1. Import the Macromedia Captivate project file using the
    Import to Library option. Be sure to deselect the audio import
    option (remember, the audio portion is in the FLV file) and any
    other Macromedia Captivate feature that you did not use in your
    demo.
    2. Upon import, open up the Library panel and locate the
    Macromedia Captivate content. It will have the same name as the
    original Macromedia Captivate project file but with a CPT
    extension.
    3. Drag it to the Stage and name the instance captivate_mc.
    If you omit this step, the resync code will not work.
    But I am not seeing any "captivate content file".
    Anyone have any thought/suggestions?

    Well I guess captivate 3 must export slightly different than
    Captivate 2. I had to basically manually create the movie clip the
    article talks about. When you export from cap3 to flash it puts
    everything on the scene 1 timeline. So I copied ALL the frames
    & layers, created a new movie clip and put it all into that new
    movie clip symbol. Just kind of a pain to have to do it manually,
    but not a big deal.

  • Missing Library in CS6

    I have no buttons, images, backgrounds, etc in my library - I am aware this is a known problem. I went here Library, title templates, template projects missing: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Encore and found a fix.  Followed directions and downloaded the functional file zip - I ran the installer which installed into c/program files/adobe but when I run Encore the library is still empty.  Any help would be appreciated.

    I am home and checked a few things:
    1) It appears Encore media is pointed to the correct location
    2) To your point I was able to download the file that included both Encore and PP w/ the installer.
    3) This is the folder w/ the Encore CS6 Functional Content
    4) This is the path the installer gives me - it cannot be changed.
    5) This is what is in the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe CS6\Library\Corp folder
    6) This is what is in the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe CS6\Library\Education folder
    It appears to me that the files may not have installed into the correct folders - does that make sense?
    Thank you for your help!

  • Flash Pro CC to CS6 fla issue - Bad library items and new library items with unicode names

    I've noticed a strange issue when opening fla files in Flash Pro CS6 that have been edited in Flash Pro CC. If there are library items in the fla with names that include symbols such as ">" or ".", unicode named symbols are created and the original symobls are unuseable. There are many symbols that cause the issue and the symbols just have to be a part of the name.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Create an fla file in Flash Pro CC.
    2) Add a single movieclip to the library with a symbol name of ">".
    3) Save the file.
    4) Open the file in Flash Pro CS6.
    Results:
    Library contains 2 symbols, one named ">" and one named "&#062".
    Expected:
    There's one library symbol named ">".
    After that double clicking the symbol named ">" will do nothing and instances of the symbol will have all their content removed.
    This issue is breaking a JSFL script I wrote that loops the library items. When the script attempts to access item.layerCount the script errors out. My team is blocked from using Flash Pro CC in combination with Flash Pro CS6 because of this issue. The only good solution I can think of is to all switch to CC at the same time to avoid converting our fla files to CS6 from CC.
    Any info on a fix for this issue would be appreciated.

    The dialog you get when you open the FLA in CS6 is that new features may not be available in CS6 so you should save it to a new file to avoid corruption. There's no "save down" from CC to CS6 (yet). So opening the file in CS6 isn't advisable in the first place.
    That said, library items are supported between them both so to your point, yes, I get the same exact behavior. A single symbol named ">" in CC produces 2 library items in CS6 named ">" and "&#062", and the original item is lost. Although I'm not sure where I'd classify this issue being you shouldn't be opening a newer version file from an older version of the application. I did also try XFL, same issue. If they decide to create a save-down to CS6 and this still exists, I'd consider it a bug.
    As for a fix, I think about the only thing that comes to mind is identify the characters causing issues and run a JSFL in CC to rename the library item temporarily to something you know will work fine. Then once back in CS6, run the JSFL opposite to convert them back to what you want. e.g. "this > that" to "this XYZ that" in CC, then "this XYZ that" to "this > that" in CS6. Shouldn't be too hard to map as long as the replacement is unique.

  • I can't fix library item

    InDesign CS6 newbie here.
    I converted some Quark library items to InDesign. I've experienced the issue below on three different library items.
    Each of these library items is a word or words with a 3-pt rule above and a .25-pt rule below. They were originally built with the font Arial Black OTF and included a style called Head Rules AB (for Arial Black).
    When our newspaper converted from Quark 7.5 to InDesign CS6 we reorganized our fonts and, for no special reason, decided to go with Arial Black True Type.
    Of course, when we first used these library items they showed up with missing fonts. My first attempt at a fix involved just changing the font in the library item and resaving it. Didn't work. Still showed up as missing.
    I then did more exploration and thought the font was missing because the OTF font was assigned to the Head Rules AB style sheet. I fixed the style sheet and assigned to all of our page templates.
    The library item still showed up with a missing font. I then checked our Character styles and noticed all the Arial Black-related styles had the wrong Arial Black font. I corrected that issue and rebuilt one of the library items from scratch. When I pull it onto a page it still shows up as the wrong Arial Black font.
    Obviously there is something here I don't understand. If anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks.

    Are you talking about the print dialog box in Windows XP?
    If so, then it is not a Report 6i issue but rather your OS.

  • Linked library items via MovieClipLoader?

    So, some of you may have run into this before. I know there
    is a known issue with importing an SWF to a MovieClip using
    LoadMovie - in that, any library items in the SWF that have linkage
    IDs can only be attachMovie'd within the MovieClip itself, and not
    in the main timeline (or any other timeline).
    However, I'm ok with this limitation.
    I have a project where I'm creating an empty movieclip on the
    main timeline, called "clip_1".
    I then use a MovieClipLoader object to load an external SWF
    ("buttons_1.swf") into clip_1.
    This works.
    However, buttons_1.swf has several button clips with linkage
    IDs set. What I want to do is, after buttons_1.swf has successfully
    loaded into clip_1, then do something like
    clip_1.attachMovie("btn_play", "play", 1);
    where "btn_play" is the linkage ID of a button in
    buttons_1.swf.
    This does not work... and it probably should given that
    apparently some people get a similar thing to work with
    loadMovie(). I want to use MovieClipLoader, however, because of the
    built-in error catching and completion features of that class.
    I cannot use the "runtime sharing" workaround for this,
    because I will have a potentially unlimited, unknown "button" SWFs
    that will be used. The main movie will load the appropriate button
    library at runtime, but I can't know in advance what all the
    libraries will be, and after the main movie is published, ideally I
    cannot go in and edit it again (want to have it dynamic as possible
    from the beginning).
    Any help would be appreciated. I know this is a confusing
    issue.

    Oops! Missed some quotes:
    var mc = this.createEmptyMovieClip("test_mc",
    this.getNextHighestDepth());
    var mclListener:Object = new Object();
    mclListener.onLoadInit = function(target_mc:MovieClip) {
    // child movie contains MCs with linkage IDs
    // attach an instance of "testclip"
    var _d = target_mc.getNextHighestDepth();
    target_mc.attachMovie("testclip", "clip"+_d,
    _d,{_x:30,_y:30});
    var mcl:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader();
    mcl.addListener(mclListener);
    mcl.loadClip("child.swf", mc);

  • Question about using library items in forms

    After a long time I am again returning to this perpetual fountain of Dreamweaver knowledge.
    I am converting a site from AGL to DW. In AGL I used a separate template for the forms (there are over 10) and used "components" to create the different forms. Each form shared features with other forms but were not identical, all together 5 components. When I converted over to DW the 5 compnents were made into 5 "library items" but neither the form template or the library items work, by that I mean they do not update if I make a change.
    Hence I want to make 5 new library items to use in the forms my question is this: when I choose an item to put in the form like a text field or radio button I always get this window.
    Though I read the documentation I am still not really clear about the "style" option so I just choose "no label tag." What is this used for? Any examples of how it is used?
    Regarding "position" before or after the item, what is this all about? I have been choosing "after form item" but I don't really know what the difference is and what advantages or disadvantages acrue from these choices.
    Regarding "Access key" and "Tab index" I sort of have the idea of what it is about but an example of how they work in action would clear up any nebulosity.
    But my real puzzle is with the following which pops up at the end when I am inserting a form items.
    Since the library items are not separate forms in themselves I have NOT added the form tag because my reasoning is that when I make the new form templates it will have the requisite form tags. Am I correct in this line of thinking? Or do I have to add form tags every time I add form elements to a form? I really don't want to have to do the whole thing over again if I get it wrong. So if one of you kind souls could guide me in doing it right the first time I would really appreciate it.
    I am using a MBP, OS X 10.6.8, DW CS6
    BvL

    To declare constants create a Package-Specification in a pll and deifne all your constants there, something like:
    PACKAGE PK_CONSTANTS IS
      RC_SUCCESS CONSTANT PLS_INTEGER := 1;
      RC_FAILURE CONSTANT PLS_INTEGER := 0;
      RC_YEAR_DATA_NOT_FOUND := 50;
    END;Then attach that pll to all your forms-modules, and use it like
    IF rc = PK_CONSTANTS.RC_YEAR_DATA_NOT_FOUND THEN
    END IF;A word about exceptions or errors: In my eyes its clearer (and in case of exceptions even better) to raise an exception than to hide it behind return-codes.

  • Spry Menu w/ templates or library items

    I LOVE the new spry menu, but I'm frustrated with how to
    insert an existing menu onto subsequent pages. I tried to add the
    menu to the library but that didn't seem to work. Should I use a
    template instead? I can't seem to find documentation on this...am I
    missing something? Any advice?

    Not sure what that is...tried to look it up in the help
    file...is it this?
    var MenuBar1 = new Spry.Widget.MenuBar("MenuBar1",
    {imgDown:"SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarDownHover.gif",
    imgRight:"SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarRightHover.gif"});
    If so, how do I attach it? Also, how do I edit once it's a
    library item? I seem to lose that lovely spry interface in the
    property manager.
    If there is any documentation that you could point me to I'd
    be grateful. I'm afraid I'm not finding it.

  • Working with library items

    This question was posted in response to the following article: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/dreamweaver/cs/using/WSc78c5058ca073340dcda9110b1f693f21-7e49a .html

    Personally, I don't like library items as any changes need to be applied to the document the library item is used in, then each document that uses it needs to be uploaded to the live server, and you might just miss a file or two that uses it leaving you with inconsistencies across your site.
    My preference is to use a server side include (SSI) file which are for all intents and purposes, the same thing, but when you update it, you simply upload that one file and it automatically populates the changes across your site whereever it is used on all pages that use it. Much simpler and cleaner.
    The only drawback is that you need to be using php, asp etc rather than html... or atleast that's the case in my experience.

  • Library item won't place

    I am not being able to place a library item. This should not
    be
    difficult and I think I am doing it correctly, but when I
    place it, all
    I get is a hyperlink to the lbl file.
    I am working on this page:
    http://www.eclipsme.com/gorockledge/annualreport.html
    The sidebar on the right is a library item that in this case
    is a place
    holder from the template that I used to create it. The
    library item is
    in an editable region.
    I have tried a few ways of doing this. I have selected the
    library item
    in design view, dragged the library item from the libray
    folder onto the
    selected area in design view, and I get the link instead.
    I tried the same process with the same results in code view.
    The DW instructions say another way is to choose 'Insert' but
    I do not
    what 'Insert' they mean.
    Am I doing something wrong? What am I missing?
    Thanks for the help.

    Select the Library item in the Assets panel. Click where you
    want the
    library item inserted. Click on INSERT on the Assets panel.
    But I am not understanding your post. What happens when you
    do what you
    describe?

  • Navigation bar  as library item

    I know I'm missing something obvious here but I thought a
    navigation bar was an obvious choice for a library item. I had
    created a nav bar on one template and then saved as a new template
    to create the second one. I want to make changes to the nav bar
    that will affect both. I saved the nav bar in the library items but
    now when I try to place it from library to each of the templates I
    get a message about a code error. Is there a better way to use one
    nav bar throughout the site?

    > I saved the nav bar in the library items
    > but now when I try to place it from library to each of
    the templates I get a
    > message about a code error.
    as a guess, did you add "behaviors" to the navigation bar
    that is now a
    library item?
    for a smallish site, use a dw template. The "behaviors" will
    work and there
    are work-arounds if doing something strange.
    for a larger site or if the item will be frequently changed,
    consider SSI
    server side includes.

  • I am getting a "Internal error occurred" message when I try to drag and drop common library items on to my canvas.

    Hi,
    I am getting a "Internal error occurred" message when I try to drag and drop common library items on to my canvas.
    I have noticed that there are a number of these error messages and tried one solution of renaming a couple of files, I tried this and no joy.
    Has any one go a solution for this before I purchase Fireworks please?
    Kind regards,
    Dave G

    I can no longer get Firework CS6 to run - The program loads but without any toolbars/properties etc.  It just has an 'AN INTERNAL ERROR OCCURRED' message that cannot be dismissed.  The only way to close the program is via Task Manager (this is on a Window 8 PC).  I have uninstalled the program, rebooted the PC and re-installed (several times) but it has not resolved the problem.
    Fireworks is part of my Creative Cloud subscription and when reporting this via the live chat I was given the telephone number for Seagate Drives ??
    Anybody got a solution?
    Or, does anybody know how to open native Fireworks CS6 png files in Photoshop *but* with all the Fireworks layers preserved.
    Think I'll also post this as a new topic as the problem is slightly different to SirBasher's issue.

  • Placing library item into page

    This script for placing library item into page and applying object style to the item. In line 16, script shows that "assets" property does not support. Please resolve this.
    if (app.documents.length==0){
        alert("Please open the Document");
        exit();
    if (app.libraries.length==0){
        alert("Please open the Library");
        exit();
    app.findTextPreferences=app.changeTextPreferences=null;
    app.findTextPreferences.appliedParagraphStyle="MN";
    var myfound=app.activeDocument.findText();
    alert(myfound.length);
    for(i=0; i<myfound.length; i++){
    var mylib=app.libraries.assets.itemByName("Box").placeAsset(myfound[i].insertionPoints[0]);
    var mymove=myfound[i].move(LocationOptions.atBeginning, mylib.insertionPoints[0])
    mylib.appliedObjectStyle="MN_Obj";

    To make that work, you have to address an open library (line 16).
    app.libraries describes the collection of all open libraries, not a distinct one.
    If only one library is open you could address the one with its index:
    app.libraries[0]
    If you already know the name of the library or better, the exact path of the library, you can:
    1. Make sure to open it
    2. Call it by its name
    Let's assume you know the name and you know that the asset you want to place is stored inside, you could do it this way:
    app.libraries.itemByName("TheNameOfTheLibrary").assets.itemByName("Box").placeAsset(
    /*Wherever you want*/
    Now, what will this line return?
    A library object? Hardly. So be cautious with using a variable name like "mylib".
    According to documentation it is returning an Array, and we can assume, that in this array is the object that is placed out of the library. Your asset stored in the library which goes by the name of "Box". Whatever that is.
    If you want to find out, you can use the following, more descriptive variable: "myPlacedAsset". That sounds more neutral.
    var myPlacedAsset = app.libraries.itemByName("TheNameOfTheLibrary").assets.itemByName("Box").placeAsset(
    /*Wherever you want*/
    Using the ESTK (ExtendScript Toolkit) together with $.writeln() can write the true nature of the placed asset to your JavaScript Console:
    $.writeln(myPlacedAsset.constructor.name);
    is informing you what kind of object "myPlacedAsset" really is. If indeed it is an Array, you could look for its length. If its length is "1", you get to the "heart" of your placed object by:
    $.writeln(myPlacedAsset[0].constructor.name);
    Or by that more inquisitory question:
    $.writeln(myPlacedAsset[0].getElements()[0].constructor.name);
    If your array is of a greater length, you have to loop through this array and question every single object!
    Before testing, exchange my comment "/*Wherever you want*/" with the code you like to use: Obviously the first insertion point of your found text. Hold on! This will backfire to you, because every time you place one instance of the asset you will add a character to your found text and shift the original insertionPoint. Better loop from back to forth or do the search from back to forth.

  • Using CSS instead of or with library item

    I built my site using Dreamweaver 8. I used the design view
    exclusively. I made a navigation bar as a library item. Utilizing
    rollovers, etc. Now I have learned I should build my site utilizing
    CSS and as was pointed out on this forum to me, to learn CSS and
    HTML.
    I am having a brain freeze. The logic escapes me as to how I
    would build a navigation bar and put it on each page as I did
    utilizing the library function before.
    I am sure for all you pro's this is a really dumb and obvious
    thing but I just don't seem to figure out the logic how to do it. I
    am not talking about the CSS for the behaviors such as hover,
    visited, active. This I know how to do. It is just the ability to
    have a properly designed navbar and be able to put it on every page
    I make.
    Murry "ACE" told me not to use AP and the dreaded mm_menus so
    I am trying to figure this out and build a better more code
    efficient site. Mine works but is quite trashy in the code.

    It can be a bit daunting.
    Try going through this tutorial completely. It's a bit out of
    date (using
    an older version of DW), and still covers the use of tables,
    but it's worth
    reinforcing your basic understandings -
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/first_website_pt1.html
    Then I would suggest you do this tutorial -
    Taking a Fireworks comp to a CSS-based layout in Dreamweaver
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/fireworks/articles/web_standards_layouts_pt1.html
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/fireworks/articles/web_standards_layouts_pt2.html
    Finally, to get a grip on how to manage menus across an
    entire site, use
    DW's F1 help about how to use Templates, and server-side
    includes.
    Templates do make your life much easier. I use the following
    scheme....
    First, I mentally separate the page layout into three
    sections:
    1. Stuff that will not change for the life of the site (i.e.,
    the basic
    structural elements)
    2. Stuff that *could* change from time to time (e.g.,
    navigation elements,
    burst advertisements, section-specific navigation, etc.)
    3. Stuff that *will* change from one page to the next
    Then I create a template containing all class1 elements. Next
    I create
    server-side include files containing all class 2 elements and
    place them on
    the template as needed. Note - some of the class 2 elements
    may be
    "section-specific elements", and their placement on the
    template will be
    subject to the next item. Finally, I insert editable regions
    to cover the
    class 3 items, INCLUDING the section-specific navigation.
    This allows me to just cookie-cut the rest of the site. I
    estimate that
    even for fairly large sites, about 80% of my work goes into
    planning and
    creating this template file.
