Re-naming Image using "Info" button.

I've taken several photos that have specific item numbers. I've renamed the image with these item numbers using the INFO button, (bottom right). However, when I upload them to a folder on my desktop, the original "img_with number.jpeg" appears...
Thoughts? Help? Thanks!

All you're changing is the title in iPhoto and not the file name. If you want the new title to be the file name you'll have to export the photos out of iPhoto via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option with the option *+File Name=Title+*.

Hi,
You could go to Edit Button Item and insert some HTML white spaces as Post Element Text. For example, if you have 2 buttons, do it at left button.

Naming images using 'Save for Web' based on layer name

Hope someone can help, I'm a bit stumped!
I've got a PSD in Photoshop CS4 which is for some T-Shirt Designs. I have 15 colours of shirts, all on 15 different layers. Then I have the design of the t-shirt on the top layer. I want to create 15 images with the design shown on each of the 15 shirt colours.
Is it possible to automate the saving of the files? ie Always have the top layer (the shirt design) on, but save a file with just one of the shirt layers on, and save the file so the filename reflects the layer name?
I seem to recall Imageready doing something like this, though maybe it was in the Animation section, its been a while :-)

I have installed a trial of Adobe illustrator on my macbook pro. I want to trace an image using the custom trace button but can't. Does anyone have any ideas how I could custom trace?

I have installed a trial of Adobe illustrator on my macbook pro. It is the 2014 release of adobe illustrator. I want to trace an image using the custom trace button.
I start a new document. Then I place my scanned pencil/colored pencil drawing, in to the document. I have tried scanning and then placing it as a jpeg, bitmap, and tiff file. I have tried scanning and then placing it, in color and in black and white. The scan mode I use is flatbed. Adobe illustrator allows me to select the default button and one of eleven preset buttons (e.g high fidelity photo), but it does not allow me to click the custom trace button. The custom trace button is grey while all the other buttons are white.
Does anyone have any ideas how I could custom trace?

It seems pointless to adjust it afterwards because it is then only a couple a pencil lines rather then a full drawing. And how do I adjust it afterwards? Would I do this using the different buttons under the window button?

Hide Link Button Image used in Crystal Report 2008 while printing

I am using Link Button of SAP B1 in Crystal Report 2008 which works perfectly. But when i am trying to export it, i am also getting the image of Link Button.
Is there a way to hide the image while printing?

there are some changes in the cr viewer between 3.1 to 4.x. can you please upgrade the reports that are not working to webelements 2.47 which was built for 4.0.

How can I use an image as a button and make it invisible unless selected?

I have been trying to use this button I created in Photoshop in Encore but I cannot get it to work the way it should. First I import the image and drag it onto my menu. Then I select "Object" then "Covert to button". That creates a button but I want it to be invisible unless I select it. Creating a button this way only overlays colors on top of the image when selected vs not selected.
What I need is to have the image been a subpicture highlight. I tried to use Photoshop to create a layer under my buttons and use the image there, typing (=2) as the layer name. I think this is supposed to show the button in its selected state?
But that doesn't work. The image is invisible when I open the menu in Encore, not matter what I select for button highlights.
Could you please explain how to create an invisible button but use an image as its selected state and possibly another for its activated state?

How to change the images used in the "Named people" tiles?

After working on adding people/faces for a while, I find that in many cases the image used in the "Named people" tile for a particular person is the worst one possible.
Is there a way to tell Lightroom to use a different image?

Agreed. The people grid looks horrible after a while. I went looking for a way to identify a key tile and couldn't find it.

I want a slideshow on the home page of my graphic design website, but ideally I want it to pop up 'in place' when a button is pressed (these buttons are for things like 'illustration', 'print design', 'logo design' etc, with each slideshow being a portfolio of images. Is this possible to do? So instead of the buttons each linking to their own page, they link to a slideshow that pops up on screen?

Yes you can design this.
Use any composition , trigger can be used as button which would open container on click. In container insert slideshow with images.
The images used can be linked to their specific pages.

Dashcode widget info button with eBooks Author on iPad

I've created a simple widget using Dashcode. The widget work fine, both in Dashboard and in an eBook I created with iBooks Author, except for the standard info button.
When I deploy the widget to my Dashboard, the info button works just fine, flips the widget over, and does all the right things.
When I deploy the exact same widget into my eBook, the widget also works find, but the info button does not show. When I tap where the info button should be, a small rectangle the size of the button appears, but not the button image. Tapping on the rectangle does nothing.
Does anyone know a solution for this?

Deleting and naming images

As a relative newcomer to Macs I have two problems with iPhoto:
1. Deleting images-After reading previous posts I am now able to delete
unwanted images simultaneously from both iPhoto's library and from Finder (clicking
Command,Option,Delete and then emptying iPhoto's Trash)
However, before this I was deleting using iPhoto's Move to Trash and then
emptying Trash. This has left a considerable number of unwanted images in
Finder. Other posts have warned against meddling with these, can anybody
tell me how to get rid of them safely?
2.Naming images-I rename images using iPhoto's Batch Change, this works fine and individual file names
change instantly in both Rolls and Albums. However, when I access images via
Finder sometimes the names have changed and sometimes they remain as the
original IMG_0112JPG eg. but there is no pattern to this behaviour as far as I can see. Can anybody explain this please?

Yes, the behavior you're experiencing is definitely not what iPhoto is supposed to do. If you're using the normal iPhoto mode (not the alias method) if you delete a photo from the library it is deleted from the HD. Also renaming a photo in iPhoto should not change the name of any file in the iPhoto Library folder, not in the Originals, Modified nor Data folders.
I suggest you use iPhoto Library Manager to rebuild you library. This leaves your current library untouched and creates an entirely new one. The see if the behavior you're experiencing continues. If not then it's the original library that's corrupted. If the behavior is the same then I'd first try a reinstall of iPhoto. Here's how to do the rebuild:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your User/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File->Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: It can take some time to create the new library if you have a lot of photos. One user reported that with a library of about 5,000 images it took about 12 hours so plan ahead.

Info button on playback control

Is there any way to remove the Info button from the playback
control or remove the captivate logo from the info screen?

Can the Info button be removed? Sure! It's just an image.
Head to the following folder:
C:\Program
Files\Macromedia\Captivate\Gallery\PlaybackControls
Locate files containing infobuttondown and infobuttonup that
begin with your playback control name, then rename them. This hides
them from Captivate. Note that you will probably need to edit the
image used for the last button that appears. This would provide
that "finished" look.
The Captivate logo is another thing. There is just no easy
way around this one. Unless, of course, one of our ever helpful
Flash folks pops in with a nifty workaround.

I do not have the "info button" as an option pages at I downloaded onto my iPad2. All I have is the paint brush, plus sign in the box, and a wrench.

I watched a video on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2hC089Iri0 and noticed that I do not have the info button, nor the insert button or full screen button which are also described in the "Getting Started" document in pages on my ipad. Is this something I need to worry about?
Also wondering if you can make pages document in landscape or is it only for portrait?

With the latest release of iOS and iWork apps for iOS, Apple has changed the Toolbar buttons:
What used to be the i - Info Button where object properties and text were changed is now the Brush icon (For styles, I guess) but has the same basic function as the i icon before - select an object or some text and tap the brush and you can change basic attributes.
What used to be the Media Insert icon (representation of an image) is now the "+" Button with the same functions as the previous icon - you can add shapes, tables, charts and media
The Tools Menu (wrench) is the same as before except in Keynote it now also has the Transitions and Builds access menu (double diamond icon) which used to reside on the toolbar and is now tucked under the Tools Menu
The View Full Screen (double arrow icon) has been removed and the document is now always in full view, sort-of.
Apple has yet to update their Getting Started Files for Pages, Keynote and Numbers to reflect these changes so it is understandably confusing to users.

Removing the CC and Info buttons

Hello. I would like to remove the CC and Info buttons on the

Hi Rach
As Paul and Mark and others have advised, Closed Captioning
isn't available in version 1. Only version 2.
However, you might be interested in a workaround that fellow
Community Expert CatBandit uses. Essentially, he places a Rollover
Caption object on the same location for each slide. Then you could
insert an image that indicates Closed Captioning. You then edit the
Rollover Caption to include your "Closed Captioning" and instruct
the user to simply place the mouse pointer over the Closed
Captioning image. The net result is that as each slide plays, the
rollover caption automatically appears because the user has the
mouse in the expected position.

Using radio button selection in multiple tables

Hello All,
I've got a bit of a design issue and it being a Friday my brain is a bit foggy and I can't seem to figure out a solution.
what I want to do is have 3 tables. The user should only be able to select one line from any of the three tables.
I can do this by having events that clear down selection on the two other tables on any selection of the third, but the select buttons of tables don't really give the UI impression that only one row can be selected. To do this I'd like to use the radio button element.
so
table A
choice - name
(o) - Anne
(o) - Bob
(o) - Charlie
Table B
choice - name
(x) - David
(o) - Ellen
(o) - Fran
Table C
choice - name
(o) - George
Here the entry in table B for David is selected. But any selection of any of the other options should deselected.
My thoughts are to use a radio button ui element, bind the "selected" value to a unique id for each row/table (an attribute of the node element for each table) and the value to a common shared attribute (not table specific).
Any better ideas - and certainly any which would mean I'm not going to have to maintain a lookup table of my unique ids and node elements to find out which one is selected?

Ok - here's how I did it.
I created another lookup table which had a guid and reference to the element.
in the each elements I had a guid which I bound to the key for selection property of the radio button in the table.
I then bound the selected key property to an attribute that was common to all elements.
in my "processing" logic I read the selected key, read the lookup table - and therefore got the reference to the selected element.
Would have been an awful lot easier if I could have used a reference to the element itself as the "key" - but that was required to be a character field.
