Re: Need right display driver for my atellite L300D

Hello
I have a problem. I have installed Windows Vista 32bit on my laptop again and want to download all necessary drivers but Im missing the drivers for the net, and graphic card.
I already tried to download them from the download page but could not do this.
In device manager there is listed standard vga graphic card even though I have an ATI 3100 graphics Radeon and I have a 16:10 (1280x800) resolution.
Now it is suddenly at 15:9 (1024x768) and I have no AREON merchandising
merchandising can only standart vista
Can someone please help me?
Thank you in advance.
PS: I have a Satellite L300D notebook.

Hi mate
> but Im missing the drivers for the net, and graphic card.
I assume you need graphic card driver and WLan or LAN driver.
You can use the LAN/WLan drivers released for other series. But you need to know what LAN or WLan card you have.
So install an hardware diagnostic tool like Everest Home edit which would provide all necessary info about the hardware parts.
This would help you to find the right WLan or LAN driver.
Regarding the graphic card driver;
Many Toshiba notebooks support the same GPU.
So you should try some drivers released for other notebook with the same graphic card.
PS: the full notebook name would be helpful too

Hey everyone, i need some help with this one:
I just made a dual boot Win7 (x64)/XP (x86) on my laptop, but i can't find the right display drivers for the video controller VGA compatible on XP.
Does someone know where i can find them?
    Many thanks,

Yes, you get this message because you cannot install the nVidia rivers only executing the exe file.
If you want to install such drivers then you have to do this in device manager.
You have to force the notebook to choose the driver
You can do this choosing the advanced installation procedure which helps you to point to the driver files!

  • Need newer display driver for my Satellite A350D

    Hi guys,
    I've a problem with 1 game.
Can someone help me refresh my driver ? I've ati mobility radeon hd 3650
My notebook is Toshiba Satellite A350D. please :)

    Hi Elios
You asking for driver but for what system?
Generally speaking the Toshiba EU driver page provides all drivers for Toshiba EU notebook series.
If you need another version, you will need to search somewhere in the net on 3rd party pages for independent, modified drivers.

  • Satellite Pro M70-235: need latest display driver for Ati X700

Hi, I decided that I will update graphic card driver but driver on official ATI site is not compatible with Toshiba notebooks. On Toshiba download site I found only older drivers (8.203 - 29/08/06) for my notebook type but I need latest driver. Can somebody help me or send me some download link?
Sorry for english and thank for replies

I dont think that Toshiba stops developing of any drivers.
As you probably know, many different Toshiba notebooks are delivered with the same hardware specifications like the same graphic card.
I would simply recommend checking another notebook models which were delivered with the same graphic card and try to install these drivers
    Good luck my friend

I already downloaded couple drivers for my graphic card, but anyone work. When I start installation, it still come warning window with this text "Setup did not find driver compatible with your current hardware or oparating system." I have installed Windows XP profesional SP2.
I would like to change from Vista to XP, because Vista is real bulls...t (sorry for that word, but I really dont like that stupid OS).
    Thank you

Hey guyes, nevermind it. I gave up "fight" with Toshiba. When I finally figured out how to install driver for graphic card, there came out another problem- for my notebook dosent exist driver for my chipset, so XP doesnt run correct, my DVD RW somwehre disappear and card reader doesnt work too. There was too many question which I didnt know answer, so I gave up.
And what about graphic driver? I figured out, that XP doesnt know HD2600, so during instalation I have to choose driver for HD2400. Then finally driver work.
    Good luck

  • Windows 7 display driver error on Satellite L300D

Hey guys, I have recently upgraded the OS on my Satellite L300D (PSLC8A), from Vista 32bit to Win7 32bit, but I need a better driver for the graphics card, an ATI Radeon 3100 256MB, and every time I try and run either the Win7 driver from the ATI website, or even the graphics drivers from the Toshiba websites (Ive tried the Vista display driver, the display driver for the Satellite L300D-ST3501 from the European website for windows 7 display driver etc etc) and every time I try, I get the same message, it goes through the entire process, then says it fails, always failing at the same part, at the ATI Display Driver installation
Am I trying the wrong driver? Is there not one out for my laptop for 7? I dont quite understand, and any help would be appreciated
Also like to point out, that Ive attempted to allow it to tell me when Win7 finds something new and needs permission, and have tried running *every* time in admin mode.

    Hi
First of all you should find out what graphic card is built-in.
Install an free hardware diagnostic tool. You could use Everest Home Edit. for example.
This would help you to get more details about your GPU.
After that you could investigate a little bit what Toshiba notebooks have been equipped with the same graphic card chip.
I noticed that many series use the same devices like the same graphic card or chipset
Anyway. The Toshiba US driver page contains many Win 7 drivers you will find also some Win 7 drivers on Toshiba European driver page
Download the ATI driver for a notebook which has been equipped with the same graphic chip and you would get the compatible one!
Then install the driver in device manager! Yes, go to device manager and use the advanced installation this allows you to point to the ATI driver files.
    This installation procedure should work

  • Cannot install latest display driver for Vista 32-bit Equium A200

    Hi all,
I am trying to update my display driver to the latest revision posted for my model laptop on the Toshiba site but on running the setup exe Im returned with an error stating my system is not compatible with driver ver 7.14.10.1461.
In info clearly states it compatible with an A200 (PSAE2).
    Anyone had a similar problem.

    Hi!
On the Toshiba website I have founded only Intel display driver for your A200 PSAE2 so I think you have an Intel graphic card.
Well, I had this problem too and the solution is pretty easy: Go to the device manager => right click on graphic card => Update driver.
Now you can install the driver without problems.
    Bye

  • Trouble installing latest Intel Display Driver for Windows 7

Anyone else experiencing issues trying to install the latest Intel Display Driver for Windows 7, version 8.15.10.2057, dated 2 Mar 2010?
This is the second updated driver release that refuses to install due the following error while running setup.exe: This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.
I've verified compatibility and have disabled Switchable graphics and selected Integrated Graphics in the BIOS
    System: T400, 2764-CTO running Windows 7 (64-bit)
    Thanks...
    T400 2764CTO

    bwpotter,
Appears you selected the right .inf file for Win7/64. Notwithstanding the error flags, are you sure the driver did not install?
For WinXP/32, the equivalent file name is kit22686.inf. In the case of WinXP (likely similar for Vista and Win7), Lenovo's file-set will unpack to C:\drivers\WIN\DISPLAY2. The .inf file that appears in the Device Manager install-routine lives one level down, in C:\drivers\WIN\DISPLAY2\Graphics. Only one .inf file resides in this directory.
When forcing installation of the driver under WinXP, error messages appear that are similar (but not necessarily identical) to those you encountered. Still, after a sequence of five or six such error messages, the driver does load and can be verified after a reboot. (The new driver has performed to spec for the past several days--no issues whatsoever.)
The final splash screen in the series reports "Completing the Hardware Update Wizard." (This message does not, however, necessarily denote a successful installation.)
In the case of WinXP, the errors appear to be generated by the installer, igxpun.exe (v1.2.30.0). Note that the flaky display driver installation should generate an error log. Search for an error log file using the string "*appcompat.txt" (no quotes) and see what it says.
In the end, the problems with this package can be attributed to simple sloppiness (vendors commonly forget to eat their dog food) and should be quickly fixed if the community barks loudly.
    Hope this helps.

  • Satellite P205-S6237 - Display driver for Windows 7

When I boot up Windows 7, after the Windows 7 logo my screen goes black. The computer is still on, I just can't see anything. I can access safe mode just fine.
If I disable the two Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family drivers, I can get into Windows 7 however I can't use hibernate or sleep mode, and the highest resolution is 1280x800. I need a driver that works. Please help me.
I've downloaded all the drivers and tried them from Toshiba & Intel however none of them work

    Hi buddy,
Its not a good idea installing all drivers you can find. This could muddle up the operating system and cause such errors.
Usually the drivers provided on Toshiba page are always work. At the moment I would recommend removing all display drivers that you have installed now (you can do this in safe mode). Then restart your computer (also in safe mode) and run a registry cleaner like CCleaner to remove old registry keys. Restart again and now install the newest Toshiba display driver for your model.
Your model is listed on Toshiba US page:

  • X300 display driver for XP

When will you update the X300 display driver for XP? Now we are still using the driver issue date is Jan, 08 (6.14.10.4860) too old, a lot of game are not be supported. Waiting for your reply. Thanks!
    LB

Well, if you just find this version, I guess it is the newest one, Toshiba has released.
I'm not quite sure, what those alternative drivers were called, but I haven't meant the reference ones from NVIDIA itself.
I think it were laptopvideo2go, but haven't tried them. So use at own risk.
And what I meant, was, that the card is not too weak for running those games, but to have all settings on high. Ok, you have to excuse me, in this point I'm a bit of an enthusiast, wenn everything runs on that high detail level ;)

  • Old display driver for Satellite U920T-10J

    Hi,
My display settings say: generic pnp monitor with a driver date of 2006. Updating the display settings does not change this.
What is the proper display driver for this laptop and how can i change it?

    >My display settings say: generic pnp monitor with a driver date of 2006.
This is NOT graphic card driver.
The +generic pnp monitor+ entry appears within the Monitors section and the mentioned driver from 2006 is part of the Windows system and its common Microsoft driver which cannot be updated.
The _graphic card driver_ is listed within the section called Display adapters and this driver could be updated (if neccessary). So please dont mix both entries.

  • Display driver for IBM Thinkpad T60 on Windows 7

    Hi,
I've just installed windows 7 on my T60. It seems that the display driver (Intel GMA 950) is not behaving the way it used to behave in windows XP. I tried to install everything I could find on the support web site. They say that the support for display driver for T60 has been dropped for Windows Vista onwards. Is there any fix for this problem?
    Any help is appreciated...
    Thanks,
    Harsh

The Win 7 is still in beta version, there is still no official support for it.... I don't think Intel will drop support for the GMA 950 GPU, as this way a lot of relatively new laptop will still be useless.

  • NVIDIA Optimus Display Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit) - ThinkPad

The display driver available at http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds029106 is advertised as being version 9.18.13.3302 / 8.15.10.2725, released on 5/20/2014, but what can really be downloaded from the URL (g5de45ww.exe) is actually a two-year old driver from 2012, version 9.17.10.2483 for Intel HD 4000. Does anyone know from where the current, up-to-date display driver for Intel HD 4000 in the T430 can be downloaded?

On lenovo blogs someone asked Russ Compton (lenovo employee) this question, see his reply below:-
"Q: Is this a software/driver update that can be applied to existing switchable graphics T410s models, or is there a hardware change which means it’s a feature of new “Optimus systems” only.
A: Amardeep, that is a good question. All ThinkPads shipping today will be Optimus enabled if running Win 7.. The current T410, T410s and T510 that are in the field will not be able to upgrade. The changes are the following: 1- Graphics Driver, 2- BIOS UPDATE 3- EEPROM Flash. So the hardware is not changing, but the upgrade to Optimus is not supported due to the EEPROM update that is required."
