I would prefer that an Apple moderator answer this, so I can get the actual answer...
So... does this upgrade for the Touch NOT include the To Do capability in iCal? If so, why not? Is this ever going to be released? It seems absurd to not include this in an update, when it's such a simple feature. I know I can create a "to do" list in notes, but the point of having a To Do is to be able to check it off as done with a simple touch.
If this is not the case, is there an idea of when I'll actually be able to have the To Do portion of iCal on my Touch?

pandora works fine for me.and if you don't have the new software on one of your ipods, then sync the one with the new software, then restore the one without the software, select the option to restore as the ipod you synced, and you should have an exact copy of your ipod. this will include any software upgrades (Get 2.0.1 before doing anything else after)

Unable to update or download apps on ipod touch

Unable to update or download apps on ipod touch 3g - just says waiting. Have tried a restart. Any advice would be appreciated.

- Try a reset. Noting is lost.

- Do the downloads on the computer and sync
- Restore from backup

I downloaded a recommended update and since then my ipod touch (3rd gen) is frozen and will not turn on. I try restoring factory settings but the process terminates with a 1604 error. I have researched this problem on the net and think i have tried everything, but still no joy. I have tried removing all apple and itunes software and reinstalling, updating the apple drivers - nothing has worked. I am using itunes 10.3 on my pc, windows xp.
If anyone can help me i would be extremely grateful - I am off on holiday on thursday and would love to have my ipod with me!

Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

You have to have the special SiriusXM account for listening and you must have a regular SiriusXM subscription. Cost is around $15.00 per month. The Live365 app only requires a $7.95 per month subscription and provides much more than SiriusXM.

Currently there's no program you can download and sync it to your iPod. However, there are some web apps you can use. This means the application will be loaded in safari. Here's some:

Hmm, well... iTunes trys to activate your iPod using the Apple server to make sure you have bought it legit.
Two things come into my mind:
1) Your iTunes can't access the internet.
2) Apples activation servers are down.
That's just my cents, maybe anyone else has an idea.

In addition to the "User's Guide" there has also been a PDF "Features Guide" for each version of the iPod touch. (The one iwell provided a link for is not for the 4th generation iPod touch. (The 'at a glance' sketch shows the on/off button on the left. It's on the right on the 4th generation iPod touch.) It's possible Apple hasn't posted it yet. But I appreciate you both for trying. So I really want to update my ipod touch 4 to ios 5, as it has many new features. The problem is, i am afraid to because i am worried that all my apps, music, and pictures will get deleted. I know many people say to back it up, but when you back it up, do you press update and then does all your data get saved? If not what do you have to do. I read so many answers on how to back up and update but im still in doubt. Also, the songs on my ipod are not from my itunes, they are from my cousins, so do i have to back up on her pc? I just want a very simple step by step process on how to update and back up your ipod,(keeping all apps, music, and pictures) the safe and secure way. Thank you, anything will help.

Apple has stopped signing iOS 5 firmware. The latest version available for your iPod is 6.1.3. You must first backup your iPod then press Check for Update. Backing up will save all of your data on the iPod Touch and your sync options. And no, you can backup on your PC, press Sync and allow iTunes to transfer purchases and copy them to your iTunes library. If your iTunes library does not contain the music on your iPod, I recommend trying to drag it to your library from your iPod. And make sure you are running the latest version of iTunes. When the update finishes, restore your iPod from the backup you made. And to save pictures from your Camera Roll, go into My Computer and open the iPod and copy the pictures to your computer.

Just ordered my Ipod Touch 32 gig thru apple.es and since its my first Ipod Touch i come here to gain some knowledge about my new toy hehe.
Was just wondering what apps are a must have for Ipod Touch?
Apart from music i would like to watch a movie once in a while and apart from that use the Wifi conection aswell.

scout the iTunes app store and find out which apps will suit your needs. you can do that NOW, while you anticipate the arrival of your new toy. it's more fun that way, IMHO

New Updates and Crashing Apps

I just updated Bridge and Photoshop CS5 and now I am getting crashes. Yesterday, Bridge crashed while running ACR. I've seen it off and on when both Bridge and DXO are open, but not in PS. So I ran a new run w/o DXO and it crashed again. It appears random.
Win7 64 bit 4G ram.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I would recommend an OS reload, with no Device Switch. Instead, back up your data from the old device, conduct the OS reload on the new device, then restore from the backup to the new device. Further, manually re-install all added apps from BBWorld, SNAP, etc.
If that fails, then skip the restore and instead reconfigure everything manually. Sometimes, corruption can move with a restore, even to a different device.
