Re: NWAdmin32 GroupWise plugins for API gateway

Hi Tommy-
I went to extract that file and received:

Any possibility you can re-send that file to me or confirm it extracts

  • GroupWise 4.1 API Gateway v2 on netware server

Currently, we are using API Gateway on Netware 6.5 to receive fax from the

Unless there's a newer version of Rightfax which doesn't reyly on 10
years outdated techniques, I'm afraid it would be messi. You're only
option would be to keep a Netware server around with the API gateway and
an older MTA version, and hope it still works in a 2012 system.

  • API Gateway for Backup Exec

    Hello,
There is a Novell 6.5 server wiht GroupWise 7.0.3 with one running GroupWise 4.1 API Gateway v2 for NLM module. This gateway is for the FAX service via Groupwise client. I would like to install another new api gateway for Bakcup Exec to send backup results via e-mail.
Do I have to stop the running gateway(FAX) to install the new gateway for the Backup Exec?
    Thanks in advance.

All gateways must be shutdown when installing, since this most times
    req. exclusive access to wpdomain.db
Yes, I beleave, but haven't tested, that you can run two API gateways
    on the same box
Note when all this is said, that the API gateway is an old timer, and
as Dave suggested....if possible, avoid it

  • API Gateway modifying SMTP addresses

I am running the GroupWise 4.1 API Gateway v2 to connect my GroupWise 6.5.4 environment with my Exchange 2003 environment. The two sides are talking to each other, the directories are synchronized, and the calendar connector is allowing me to do busy searches across both platforms.
The problem is when a GroupWise user sends an email to an Exchange user, and that email contains an outside SMTP address, the outside SMTP address appears as:
    domain.com.username instead of [email protected]
    ie
    yahoo.com.myname instead of [email protected]
The message is delivered correctly to outside SMTP address (and all addresses appear correct in it), but if the Exchange user selects Reply All in Outlook, the SMTP address will bounce the message, as the address is formatted incorrectly.
    Thoughts?

  • API Gateway has no HTML from Exchange to GroupWise

Greetings everyone, thanks in advance for helping with my issue. Here's my
problem... when an Exchange user sends a HTML email to a GroupWise user
through the API email connector, the email arrives in GroupWise as plain
text and is some times missing content as a result. How can I get these
messages from Exchange to GroupWise in HTML format through the connector.
Some additional information... when a GroupWise user sends a HTML email
through the API email connector to an Exchange user, the Exchange user
does get the HTML message but as an attachment, which is acceptable for
    us. I'm running GroupWise 6.5 and Exchange 2003. I'm using the 4.1 SP2 API
gateway and everything is working properly except for HTML messages from
    Exchange users to GroupWise users.
Also, if I use internet addressing (not the API connector) the messages
route out to the internet and then back in and keep their HTML format.
Using this method doesn't give me the address book sync or free/busy
search for the calendar though which makes it undesirable.
    Thanks,
    Kurt

Can't find anything documented about this.....
And maybe GW and Exchange handles html mails different....
(In GroupWise, it's simply an attachment named text.html)

I have no idea.....and it's not supported anyway.....

I beleave, that due to a native IE addressing, you could simply create a new ext-domain for the new gateway,
but will have all users dubbled in the addressbook until then.....
Why not setup a testlab instead of playing with the production ?
Regarding tips etc.....I've never played with it ;-)

  • Plugin or API from Adobe (for Adobe Reader) for Business Website?

I am looking for a plugin or API from Adobe (Adobe Reader or whatever will accomplish this) that can be added to our business website to make it easier for users to search through our manuals when they have questions about using the software. Does it exist? I want users to be able to type in a string and have the Adobe product search through all our PDF files for the file/page with that information.
If I am in the wrong forum please redirect me because I have been trying get help with this since 8am. Thank you.

Ok, you can go with one of the following:
    * A search engine on the web server. There may well be one there already, needing to be set up to search a particular folder. Or you may be able to configure a search page without any need for setup. Refer to your web server admin.
    * An intranet search engine. There may be one already on your intranet, just needing to be set up. Or you may be able to configure a search page without any need for setup. Refer to your intranet admin.
    * A variation on the intranet search engine is the search box, such as the google appliance, a separate box on the internal network which becomes your private Google. Pricy, but readily understood by senior management.

  • Assigning multiple interfaces for Oracle API Gateway (OAG)

We are deploying Oracle API Gateway to throttle our incoming API requests. We would like to keep the incoming external API requests separate from the internal configuration management so that they go through different interfaces when accessing the OAG server. This is mainly for security reasons so that the external people won’t have access to the interface used by internal operations team to manage OAG. Based on your experience, is there any standard best practice to accomplish this? We were thinking to perhaps use two of the server’s network interfaces with different IPs, one for the incoming API requests and the other for the internal admin management of OAG. But not sure if this is the best way to do what we need. We are aware of OAG's capability to support two separate ports to handle this situation, but would like a more secure set-up that could completely eliminate external access to the OAG management done by the IT team.
Would appreciate any thoughts on best practices used regarding multiple interfaces for OAG set-up. Thank you. Oracle Marketing Cloud.

You are on the right track.
Here is how you can achieve this:
You can use multiple network interfaces on the UNIX machine and setup networking/routing in such a way that all external traffic comes on on one card and is routed internally via a different card.
Segregate difference types of services (i.e to be used by external clients vs internal apps) into difference different "Service Groups". Have each of these service groups listen on different port + NIC card (under Listeners, you can define a port to list to list on a specific network address and port instead of *).
Setup additional protection for services that will be accessed by external clients. Use "Threatening Content " filter to protect your services.
Setup 2 way SSL for the interface that will be called by external clients. Setup a DN based authorization check if you want to have both authentication and authorization.
    Hope this helps.
    -Thanks,
    Ankit Kumar

  • Exchange Gateway or API Gateway

We're running GroupWise 7.02HP1a on both NetWare and Linux. We're looking to cooperate with an Exchange 2003 system (maybe 2007 with a 2003 intermediary).
Not sure whether to use the Microsoft Gateway with API Gateway on the Novell side, or the Novell Exchange Gateway. Does anyone have experience with both that can comment on which one seems to function better? Is it a toss up and just a matter of preference?

Hey everyone, we are running gw703 on suse10.1 with API gateway 4.1 on dos. We use this configuration to import our students email addresses from Google into our staff address books which run on GroupWise. The students have there own dummy MTA and PO. This system has worked well for us until we ran into a student who used a period in their email address.

To remedy this we were going to change the . to an _ for the objectID and were considering importing the address (address@domain) into the Preferred EMail ID field under internet addressing tab of the external user object.
