Re-Order photo

How do I re-order the photos in IPod? It seems like IPod displays photo based on uploading order.

Is there an answer to this?  When I order photobooks (from other services, e.g.), I tend to order only one to see if it looks good in real life -- and then order more later.  Is that possible with Aperture and Apple?

I spent hours building a photo album for my parents only to find out that because my mac is earlier than 2007, even though I have 10.6.8, I can no longer order?! What is with that? This makes no sense. I can go online to various "photo shop" place and regardless of the OS and computer I am working from I can order a photo album so why can I no longer do this through iPhoto on my MAC?
How do I order my album now? If somebody could please explain as I am going home in 1 month and really wanted to surprise my aging parents with this book.

    I found this:

In your account in the Apple store (store.apple.com) reenter all of yoru information and be sure one click ordering is on -
Before ordering your book preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered book will match it.

  • Re-order photos

    How i can re-order photo's on my Ipad 2??

You can't - if you are syncing photos from folders on your computer then they will be sorted by capture date. To re-order them you will need to manipulate their dates on your computer and then re-sync : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4221

  • Ordering Photos in iPhoto09 Slideshow

I have iPhoto 09. Thank you to anyone replying and helping.
I guess there is no way to order photos the way I want them once a slideshow is made.
For example - if I choose the sliding panel theme - iPhoto automatically
puts the photos where it wants in the various sliding panels. This often
    ' results in undesirable effects.
I wish there was a sliding panel TEMPLATE where I could just put the photos
where I want that would match up better.
Does Fotomagico offer one templates where one can manually put the photos
where one wants after one selects a theme format ? Or is there actually a way to have more control over how one wants photos placed in various theme?
    thank you very much

Thank you Terrence for your reply, but you must be more adept at this than I am.
When I click on a thumbnail all I get is the picture in full blown up mode.
I still have no idea whether the picture will be placed in the slideshow theme.
If I totally rely on iPhoto09 to distribute my pictures I get mis-croppings nor do I get the photo associations or pairings that I want.
It is all hit and miss just moving the thumbnail photos around and then I have to play the whole slideshow to see the results of my thumbnail shifting.
Which brings me to another problem. I actually got a photo album to run a slideshow pretty much how I want with lot of trial and error. BUT when I select an album and choose to have it converted to a slideshow - it jumbles and re-arranges the photos that I had set up the way I wanted them in the album.
The only reason I convert an album to slideshow format is so that I can share it with iTunes.
Suffice it to say - I wish iPhoto had templates or storyboards so that one can manually arrange the photos and place them in the panel or place you want them.
I did send a query to Fotomagico and am awaiting a response.
Thank you for your time and willingness to help.

Anyone know how I can order photo prints from the iPad in the UK. Currently have to switch my pc on which isn't ideal

This app was just released:  http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/roes/id533327862?mt=8
It connects your images with Pro Labs around the world.  Only USA and Canada labs so far but more are being added all the time.  I hope this helps.

I cannot order photo prints from iphoto.
Are you trying to print from iPhoto on your Mac or iPad/iPhone? If you are trying to print form yor Mac, check, if the Print Products Store in the iPhoto Preferences > Advanced is set to U.K.
Also the bimmling address, Delivery address, the country for your AppleID and Credit Card must all be in the same country. Check this document:

  • HT204364 Help on Ordering Photo Book

I submitted a 62 page photo book for publication and after paying and, thereafter, gathering done, the order seems to get stuck in download at about the 1/2 way mark (according to Apple's completion bar graph; I know not necessarily accurate).  Left it going 2x overnight and still stuck in the morning.  Checked for updates to software.  Turned compueter off and tried again.  My internet speed is good.  I have ordered photo books in past and orders were completed without a problem.  Thoughts?
By the way, it seems ridiculous that I can't ask Apple these questions for free when I am spending money to purchase products from them (I have three books for holidays lined up).  Is there a way when the problem is a purchase problem and not a computer problem?

Here are a some other tricks that helped users get their books ordered. Maybe one will work for you:

    Nov 30, 2013 3:02 PM (in response to pablo123)
Just got off the phone with apple support.  If the photo book completes the assembly process but fails during the upload process the problem is in their overloaded servers. They just started a free shipping promotion for the holidays which has increased the traffic dramatically. I bought a calendar a week ago and it went right through. I'm going to try again during less peak times.
    Next:
Here's a fix that worked for some users:
Make sure this checkbox is checked in the System/Sharing preference pane:
If it is, uncheck it and then recheck and try ordering again.
    And lastly:
    Quit iPhoto.
From the Finder menu bar, choose Go > Utilities to access your Utilities folder (or press Shift-Command-U).
In your Utilities folder, open Keychain Access.
Find the "NetServices" entry in your Keychain Access window.
Select the "NetServices" entry and press the delete key.
Reopen iPhoto and attempt to place your order again.
You should be prompted to enter your account information if you deleted the Keychain entry successfully.
After entering your account information, you should be able to complete your order.
    Happy Holidays

  • Need Help Ordering Photos

Hello. I am having trouble getting my photos in order on my New Ipod 20G.
The photos always appear in a different order on the ipod than they do in the window on my pc. I have tried naming in them in order etc, but they are always mixed up when they appear on the ipod. If anyone could explain how to order photos on the ipod, I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks.

Here is one way I discovered to deal with this problem. Make a separate sub-folder under the main folder you use to sync photos with i-Tunes. When you update your iPod it will copy this folder and it's contents. If you have a specific order you want the photos in, use a number or letter prefix in the name or some other sequential naming convention. (for example I used 01_filename.jpg, 02_filename.jpg, etc.) If you start your slideshow from this sub-folder, it will display in descending alpha-numeric order.
The photos will also show up in the folder the iPod creates by default in its default order, which seems to be first in/first out. I haven't determined whether this means there are two copies of the photo on the iPod or not.
    Hope this helps.

Mac OS X does not offer a Clean install option.    If by clean install you mean erasing the system, that is not recommended unless:
    1. You bought a used/refurbished Mac and there is software on it without any accompanying discs, and it is older than July 20, 2011 in model release:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6413
Or if it is at or newer, then erase it if it has applications installed that would not have been prebundled with it and you have no CDs for those applications.
You don't want someone else's software keys, or accounts, or to be running unlicensed software.  At and newer Macs offer a built-in internet restore for their software with a command-R boot that lets you erase the system with Disk Utility, and then install from the internet the latest operating system.
    2. You have a hardware issue and want to eliminate possible software issues as the cause when troubleshooting a problem all at once.
Issues affecting a new install have to be isolated before you attempt it.   Unless you know it is software or hardware, erasing may only mask other problems.

  • Order photos by date

I have been having difficulties for some time now regarding the order photo's are sync'd to my i-devices.  When I check the pictures under the general library, the photos are in some random order.  I understand that it is connected to how the photo program (in my case Aperture) is sorting.  I have selected (under Photo's in the general library sidebar (of Aperture) to sort by date, assending order) but that doesn't change anything.   I have even tried to open the library with iPhoto (now with the latest update making library unuiversal between iPhoto and Aperture) and then sync the same librabry thru iPhoto instead, but the order is still not by date.
I've even deleted the iPod Cache in the program packet contents folder....
    Any ideas?

You can't use that metadata in the Finder, but if your files were created on the date taken, you can Sort or Arrange by Date Created.
If you really want to organize by Date Taken (from the EXIF data), then use iPhoto. That is the program that organizes Photos.
Regardless, you are Arranging by Date Created, not Sorting.
Arrangement is a Grouping of like things. When you Arrange by a Date, it groups them by Today, Yesterday, Current Week, Month, and then by Year thereafter.
If you want to Sort by Date Created, hold down the Option key when selecting the button or menu item. The options will change from Arrange to Sort.
You can set both at same time from the View Options for the window (View menu, Show View Options).
You can Arrange independent of Sort, and Sort independent of Arrange (set Arrangement to None), or you can do both. If you Arrange by one criteria, you can then sort the items in each group by another criteria.
In your case, you can set the Arrangement to None, then the Sort to Date Created.
Or, if you like the groupings, but also want the files in the group sorted by Date Created, Set both Arrangement and Sort to Date Created.

  • IPhoto freezes when ordering photo

As of today - 29 May 2012, iPhoto freezes when ordering photo prints with the message..
'There was a problem communicating with the Apple Online Store. Please try again.'
I had to 'Force quit' iPhoto to continue.
OK, so maybe the store is down but surely that should not affect the software on both of my computers?
    Andy Forrest

It's OK now - I see the store is open again - but it does seem odd that lack of store makes te application freeze solid!
