I m using RFC model in WebDynpro Applicaiton. Its having 2 inputs and two subnodes(each for one input) under output node of RFC. After executing model values are getting populated only in one of the node.what can be problem??

Hi Kavita,
are you using bind table to bind values to the node from itab. if its so.. the type (or name) of the attributes of the node and fileds of the itab should be same, else it wont get binded. Attributes of your first node might be same as that of the itab you are trying to bind.
it it doest solve your proble. loop the iteb and try binding to the node element by element.

Hi,
Check st22 transcation in R/3 as well, whether RFC is throwing dump?
If not the case, the only way is to debug,
1) Go to rfc by using se37
2) in Menu, settings, set external break point for user against whose id jco conncetions are set up.
3)and debug

RFC output node always empty

Hi Experts,
I created a web dynpro program and i've verified that the data i'm passing as input to the RFC is correct. however, no matter what input to the RFC though, the output node is always empty. What could I be missing that would cause the output node to be empty?

have you checked in the backend by passing same input to the RFC and is the RFC
giving you the data in the output node. , check the mandatory parameters in the RFC
and you can even ask your ABAPer to give the TEST data to pass to the RFC from the
webdynpro .
try to hard code the data with data taken from abaper and check whether RFC is giving you the
data , even try to debug the application , provide a external debugging in the RFC and
and perform external debugging and check the data getting passed to all the mandatory parameter
and the output node .

If I call this procedure it is populating data but , if I register it in oracle apps I am not getting data   can any one help
also I replaced dbms_output.put_line with fnd_file.put_line , still it is not populating data

Virtual Characteristic value not populating in the query output

Hi Experts,
I am new to BAPI and I am using this to populate the values of virtual characteristics.
I wrote the below code to populate if an order status got some status value then i need to populate the flag y if not n.
I got the order value in the reprot. I need to go to order master data and should get the status and then i have to do the comparision and populate the flag zww_teco in the report.
The below is the compute method of my implementation class.

But I am not sure why the values are not populated. But when i debug , i could see the values for
P_cha_0cs_order = 35
p_cha_zww_teco = 54
But i could get the values of <fs_0cs_order>, <fs_zww_teco> after assign component statement.
And it is firing me a dump in select statement. Also when I click c_s_data i am getting S____274, S____505 fields like that in the structure but i could see p_cha_0cs_order
Can you please guide where i am missing ...

In my case , even then i clciked generate report,
even after that P_CHA_0CS_ORDER = 35
and after assign component P_CHA_0CS_ORDER of structure c_s_data to <FS_0CS_ORDER>.
the <FS_0CS_ORDER> is nothing , here i should get the value of cs_order value of that record but it is coming empty which i am not able to rectify. How should i change or i need to put any other setting to get the value populated into my <FS_0CS_ORDER>.
Can you please guide me .

Invoice output Condition type not populated for many invoice documents

Invoice Out put Condition type for printing not populated in the invoice document. Now We need to insert condition type for many documents to print at a time. We can manually place condition type at document header level individually for every document. But we have many documents to print.
plz advice me how to print all these documents

Just take help from your ABAP team. Record the event in SHDB ask then to get invoice number from excel file and loop the program.
This will be more faster then LSMW.

Invalidate Model Output Node

Hi,
Soon after I execute the model in RFC, my Output nodes should get populated with values returned from RFC. What would happen if I issue an Invalidate command on this Output model node right after the execute command.
Will I still be able to access this Output model node ?

If you do not want to access the output model node
inavalidate the context node of table first view table in the on action back of the second view
something like this
wdcontext.node<name of table node>().invalidate().
so that it will refresh the table and get the current data.
Or you can also Close all RFC connections using the Method - disconnectIfAlive of the Model Object.

Issue in invalidating the model output node

Hi All,
I have a problem in invalidating the model output node. Below is the description of my approach and problem statement.
REQUIREMENT: We have had the requirement to develop a custom WD java application in MSS which will fetch the appraisal data for each employee selection.
APPROACH: To acheive the same, I have developed the custom WD java application and have associated it with the Standard Employee Search application. I have established the eventing between both the applications, such that on each employee selection in Employee Search, I get the PERNR for the selected employee.
                     I have mapped a local valude node to the UI elements of my custom application. I am having TWO RFCs; one to Read data based on PERNR and the other to Update/Save to R/3.
                     I read the RFC based on PERNR and save it to local value node which is binded to the UI elements. If the end user is editing the read data, I am passing the entire local value node to the Save RFC import parameter on click of Save button in my application.
                     Every thing is working as expected. I am able to Read and Save the data and its also updating the backend. But, in the same session, if I go back to the previously selected employee for whom the updation has happened, i am not able to see the new data.
                     Only when I refresh the session, I see the new data on employee selection. When I try to invalidate the Read Output Model node, on Save button, I do not see anything happening. The Read Output Model node always holds the old value.
                     I have currently binded the Read model output node to a table in the view to see what it holds in runtime. And what I see is , its always having the old record for the same employee, in the same session even after invalidating the same on Save button.
I request you all to pleae try to understand the issue and let me know as how to get the new values in the same session.

Hi,
When you are executing the read rfc ?? At the time of executing the read rfc try to bind the new object every time you execute and see what happens.
Like..
wdContext.node<READ_RFC_NODE>().bind(OBJECT of READ RFC);
then execute it.
Is there some kind of table which shows the employees and on selection you are showing the data? Can you give some more input on how you are reading the data?

Value not populating in the print out (sales order) for the 1st time

Hi friends,
While saving a sales order, the order confirmation going to the user is not populating the LDC field. LDC is Last date of change. This field can be found in the Additonal data 2 tab of the material in the sales order. When I enter a date in this field and save, the print preview of the output has this value, but the print out does not carry this value.
Another weird thing about this issue is that, the second time i trigger the output, the print out has the value.
Please give me some clue on where to check and how to go about fixing this problem.

EDI header segment E1EDK04 not populating

Hello,
We are currently using the intercompany EDI process to create vendor invoices based on an EDI output from a billing document.
This worked well for us, until we wanted to change our pricing procedure for tax condition type MWST print i.d. for condition line from "S" to "a".
Now when the iDoc is created it contains the correct tax values at the line item level in E1EDP04 but no segment is created for the header tax in E1EDK04.
Therefore, the iDoc fails with message 51.
SAP note 398414 (from 2001) suggets setting "S" in the print i.d.
It seems our options are to have a correct idoc output or a correct printed form for EU tax, but not both. This seems a limitation.
We are currently exploring a custom exit but I would like to know if anyone has a std SAP solution as being able to automate intercompany clearing does not seem a unique problem.

My requirement for printing is to show tax at item level, any header-relevant pricing ID incurres inconsistent processing of billing output.
I'm not seing any standard way to meet both requirements, please advice.

Process scheduler server list is not populating in SERVER LIST page.

Need urgent help.
We have PeopleSoft Campus Solution 8.52,9.0 application. We had two Process Scheduler server one in Linux and one in NT. There was one issue that all the jobs which processed were getting into success and reports were also posted,however it was not updating the database with data. In order to solve it I created a new Process Scheduler server at onther NT machine. This time when I navigated to Process Monitor --> Server List pages it has no data there. I ran COBOL job but it went to successful and report posetd but nothing was updated into the database.
Please help me out of this situation.

Thanks a lot RCC for your response.
There is actually three issues
1)Process Monitor Server List page has no data.
2)As I go to run a process in the system process request I see that the Server Name,Reccurence,Type and Format are not workin or they are disabled.
3)Cobol jobs which I am running through PSNT is not updating database,however the Process is getting successful and reports are having posted status,but when I go to see Reports it is not having any output file its blank.I tried to check the reports at webserver,there were also no reports were published,However it works properly for all other Process.
For the first problem it has got resolved the solution is in this "Process Monitor Server List Not Populating With Data (Doc ID 615323.1)"( for those who face this problem in future :)).
For your query RCC, I have named same name of PSNT which was earlier in the different machine.

ESS Bsns pkg Bnfts &Pymnt - Overview Drop down and table not populated

We have configured ESS business package. Payslips in form of PDF are available in Benefits and payment.
Overview dropdown and table are not getting populated.
I checked context node rem, vcdata and attribute overview_sel in VcRem2Selection comp.
They are not populated at any place as well. How does this work?

Hi Gangadharayya,
There are 2 ways of populating the dropdown.
Either u can create a simple type and bind the attribute to the SimpleType, or use the class ISimpleTypeModifiable and IModifiableValueSet to populate the values at run-time.

Node id does not exist for the current application server id

when i start application services (adstrtal.sh) i encounter the following error: Node id does not exist for the current application server id.
i executed the command select server_id from fnd_nodes and had the following output

Extended idoc not populating(urgent)

hi guys
i have extended the basic idoc type delvry03 and created an extension delvrtext for it.however when i trigger the idoc from an output type the extended segments are not populated.is there a way you can put a break point in the code.if that is possible it will help me a lot.i am using the FM idoc_output_delvry to create this.i tried putting break points in rsnasted as well as the above FM but it doesnt stop and the idoc gets created.please tell me how do i make sure my code for populating the extended segments is running properly.

thanks for the reply first of all.srinivas what do u mean by assign the extension to application object?i have done the configuration in we82 where i have attached the basic idoc type and extension to message type desadv. the function module is attached to the process code which is used in partner profiles for the idoc processing.can u explain me in detail.the idoc standard idoc is getting created but not the extended segments.also there is this weird message when i run a check on the partner profiles as follows

   Message Control entry exists for this entry
   Port exists
   Basic type exists
   Extension exists
<b><u>   Combination of basic type and extension is not possible</u></b>
   Link exists between logical message and IDoc type
what does this mean any idea?

Graphical mapping issue, repeated lines are not populating

Hello All,
i have mapping where i need to map source node and its coresponding subelements to target node and its subelemtns based on certains condition, which i did using If condition.
Now my issue is, when mapped source node with condition , conditional field is not in the same node which i am mapping. It is in the parent node of the node which i am mapping. SO when i mapped to target node, only one occurence only its populating in target side even When lines repeated more than once its not populating all lines corespondingly. Please let me know how to populate all line items when i have validation field in parent node and child node and its subelemnts to be mapped to the target node. ( Both parent node and sub node in source and target node are unbounded) .
