Re-packing in particular storage type

Hello,
I am not sure what config governs whether unpacking & re-packing is allowed in a storage type & not allowed in other ... please enlighten me & excuse me for asking basic question.

How to exclude stock of a particular storage type from collective availability check in MDVP.

you can set the storage location as 'Storage location stock excluded from MRP' value '1' in the field
Sloc MRP indicator , in MRP view $ when you enter a storage location accessing the material master.
Thsi is the only way to exclude the storage location, you have to do it per each material and also it is excluded from the MRP.
With this option the stock is not considered in ATP.
IF you need the storage location in the MRP, then you should consider the use of MRP Areas.
With the MRP Areas you define which plants/storage locations belong to each MRP area and the ATP is performed for eah area with the stocks that exist in each of them.
Please if the issue is solved set the thread as answered and provide the points to the useful replies.

WM - Storage Type Replenishment

Hi everyone !
I have a little problem with the storage type replenishement in WM.
I configured two replenishment movements for 2 storage types :
- First one for a storage type that manage the base unit of measure "pieces", and that has a "capacity check" based on material and a putaway strategy "I" (addition to existing stock).
- Second one for a storage type that uses the Storage Unit "Case" and uses a putaway strategy "L".
Then I configured the replenishement as "Transfer Order (random) imm.".
I have correct data in the material master.
The problem is that the system does not create any TO when confirming the TO that pass under the mimum stock.
It has worked once with the first replenishment movement, but configured with the putaway strategy "L", and without the Capacity Check (without any complication).
I think this is a problem during the automatic creation of the TO, maybe due to palletization data proposed during the automatic TO creation...
Does anyone has an idea ?

When ever the stock level in a fixed bin for a particular storage type goes below the min bin qty replenishment is triggred automatically by running RLLNACH1 or manually by LP21 which creates TRs.And TRs are converted to TOs.
In your question you have given the Material, Warehouse
and Storage type only fixed bin is not there.
In the Material Master WM 2 view you need to maintian the fixed bin in storage bin field and the max bin qty and min
bin qty and the replenishment qty in their respective fields.
Configuration:
==========
Spro >> LE >> WM >> Activities >> Transfers >> Define Stock Transfers and Replenishment Control
Click on Maintian WM movement types and check whether replenishment movement type 320 (Std) is maintained.
Double click and maintain a value e.g 1 in the Ref stor type search field
And the same value 1 should be maintianed in the storage type search as below
Spro>> LE >> WM >> Strategies >> Activate Storage type search >> Define Search Sequence
Whse: oper: Typ In: stkcat: Splstk: Stoclass: Wpc
200 A XXX
Ref sto type sto loc 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 .....

xxx is the type in mentioned in the MMR in WM view 1 in stk removal field.

Click on Define Replenishment Control for Storage Type

Then execute transaction LP21 and enter the parameters like plnt, sloc,whse,sto type, Sto bin (Fixed bin in MMR),Material
Executing will create TR when Stock level is below the min bin qty.
TR can be converted to TO.

Storage class not allowed in storage type

Hi All,
I am getting this error while confirming the TO.
It stays Storage class is not allowed in Storage type but how can this be configured in OMM2.
or do we need to define any sequence in OMLY.

Have u defined your material as Hazardous material? is so, yes, u have to do settings in OMLY.
"Storage class: Classifies hazardous materials with regard to their storage conditions. A check can be carried out to find out whether hazardous materials that belong to a specific storage class may be placed into a particular storage type".

Block manual stock removal for a storage type

Is there any configurational setting where in we can block manual stock removal (i.e creation of TO with mvt type 999) for a particular storage type.

Hi,
Try using the transaction LS05, give the storage type and the bin range to block all the existing bins.
But i am not sure if there is any setting at the movement type level.

Replenishment Order in WM storage type

I have a scenario like this
Warehouse Number 200
Storage type 210 and storage type 310
Matreial AB100
The requirement is:-------Whenever stock level at storage type 210 falls below a predifined stock level, system should create a order of stock with multiple of 50 pallets.

SUT and Bin type Bulk storage type

Hi experts,
In cofiguration i have defined for particular storage type, bin type & SUT as 10 HU's per bin. But while doing putaway system has allowed 11 HU's. Kindly explain me how it is happened?

Storage type to be assigned to particular storage location

Hi,
As per clients new business requirement, 2 storage locations of a plant are assigned to same warehouse.
But as the storage types comes under warehouse they come under both the storage locations. Is there any configuration to assign specific storage types to a particular storage location.
I tried in SPRO under interfaces>IM>Storage location control but it does not allow.
Please advice.

I feel the solution given by E060123 in his first reply should work well.
Did you first define the storage location refernce and then in the same config node under "Control of Assignment "Plant / Stor.Loc. - Whse Number" assigned the sloc reference to the respective storage location
And then assigned the reference to the search table as mentioned previously.

Dear you can restrict users to consume the stock from secondary storage locations by defining the main storage locations for raw materials in BOM components in item details in status/Lng.Txt so whenever you create production order manually or through planned oder the main storage location defulty copied so user can't change that location and insert secondary location.
Check and Revert.

Movement type from unrestricted use to particular storage location

I have situation wherein the stock was goods receipted with referendce to a PO into unrestricted stock (without mentioning storage location).
I now want to transfer this stock to a particular storage location.
Please let me know how to do this,

How can you receive a material without mentioning the storage location in MIGO (101), it is not possible as per standard system.
Please check the PO, It must be created with account assignment that means it was consumed at the time of GR, that is the reason you do not need to enter storage location at MIGO
So if you need that material in storage location cancel that GR, change that PO receive again in desired Store

i am trying to create a transfer order from delivery. the moment i click on save in LT03 its giving me the error message as
Control data for storage type is missing
Message no. L3006
i have explored every thread regarding the same issue and also implemented some measures like
-> extending the material to particular warehouse and maintaining stock removal and stock placement strategies in it(i created new one from MM01 itself)
-> going to spro path SPRO->Logistics Execution->shipping->picking->Lean WM->Define storage type. and assigned storage type.
but still i am getting the same message in LT03
can you please help me out on this.

Issue with clearing the Differences in 999 storage type in HU managed S.Loc

Hi Experts,
We are trying to writeoff the differences stocks which are there in 999 storage type, but getting an error message 'Quantity difference document line item for HU's' with Message class L6 & Message number 606. Any idea how this can be resolved?
I can see that for this product/batch combination there is another HU in packing area 923 which is acting as a SU because the item level details are deleted for this HU. Could this be the issue for the errror? Would need some pointers to clear this stocks.

The item details of the HU seems to be have deleted, causing the difference between HU, IM/WM stocks. We have deleted the HU using HUMO & then the HU difference quantity was posted using HUDIFF.

It seems that the flag Addn to stock for putaway strategy in the storage type 103 configuration is not working fine as the quantities of the same material with the same batch sent to the same stype 103, and destination bin are not being added. So by running stock report in WM we see several lines with partial quantities instead of only one line with the total quantity in place. Do anybody know how can that be solved? Or what can be the route cause of the issue? Is there any OSS known applicable to fix the problem?

I've checked:

Indicator: Allow addition to existing stock
Indicator determining whether a material with particular characteristics may be added to existing stock of the same material with the same characteristics in one storage bin.
Dependencies
If the storage type control table does not allow additions to existing stock for this storage type, the indicator set in the material master record is ineffective.

Auto Confirmation of transfer order - 999 mvt from storage type W01 to S01

Hi,
I am trying to automate the confirmation of transfer orders between storage type W01 and S01 using a 999 movement type. The 999 movement type appears to work perfectly when doing a bin to bin movement within the W01 storage type (for example move batch abc from bin 01 to bin 02) no confirmations are required. However if I transfer from a bin in W01 storage type to the S01 storage type (which only has a single bin to represent a staging area) a manual confirmation of the transfer order is required via lt24 or lt12. It appears therefore that the issue is with the storage type S01 for this particular Warehouse. The setting to confirm the TO immediately is already activated for movt 999 in customizing, is there a setting for the storage type that must be defined.

F1 help for field V_T333-SQUIT:
Means that the transfer order item can be confirmed immediately during the creation procedure.

To set the confirmation requirement for foreground processing, select the indicator for TO item can be confirmed immediately.
As per my understanding the immediate confirmation indicator does not mean that the transfer order will be confirmed immediately. It makes possible that during the creation of transfer order you CAN put a flag in the confirmation checkbox.
If you use it together with "propose confirmation" flag (setting for WM movement type; V_T333-VQUIT), the falg in confirmation check box will be populated automatically during TO creation.
