Re: Peculiar behaviour while MRP

Hi All,
I am facing a situation which I am not able to understand. I am trying to run MRP for a FG which has stock in place & Safety stock. On entering some PIR via MD61 & running the MRP the planned order created is of a quantity more than required.
It shoild have been 109 But its appearing 124.875.On drilling down I found there were two components.
1.Pegged requirment=109
2 Procurement without requirement=15.1875
Please explain me system behavious

Hi,
Please check the following values for the Material in the Material Master (MM02/MM03) :
MRP type , Component Scrap , Assembly Scrap, Lot size , Safety stock and Scrap percentage if any mentioned in BOM item details.
Even the scrap percentage mentioned in the Material Master and BOM will considered while creating the procurement proposals. Check those values and get back.

  • Peculiar behaviour in picking file from FTP in File-IDoc scenario

    Dear XI Expert,
I have successfully completed configuration of FTP --> XI --> IDoc scenario. I have noticed a peculiar behaviour in picking the file from FTP. I placed a file on FTP and activated File Adapter with poll interval '60' secs and processing mode as 'Archive'. For the first time it has picked the file with expected behaviour and IDoc got posted to SAP successfully. But when I placed file for the second time and when refreshed the FTP directory, immediately file got archived without waiting for 60 secs. But in sxi_monitor I could not see any activity of processing this scenario. Surprise is that, file got archived in target directory. This goes on and on... without registering any activity of processing the message in Message monitoring.
In adapter monitoring it shows the message as described below:
    <i>History:
    2006-05-09 22:57:25 : Processing started
2006-05-09 22:57:25 : Error: Processing interrupted due to error: FTPEx: No such file
    2006-05-09 22:57:24 : Processing started
2006-05-09 22:57:24 : Error: Processing interrupted due to error: FTPEx: No such file</i>
For your information my SAP XI system is on SP16.
Please find below the parameters of sender adapter:
    <i>Quality of service: Exactly once
    Poll interval: 60 secs
    Processing mode: Archive
    Connect Mode: Per File Transfer
    Transfer Mode: Binary</i>
Can anybody help me out in resolving such a problem in this scenario?

    Hi Jayakrishnan,
    Thanks for your reply.
Once again the same problem is noticed. i.e., for the first time when file adapter is activated the file got picked, activities were logged in monitoring and IDoc got posted to destination system. For the second time when file is placed, before 60 secs got completed the file is picked and archived in the target directory. No activities in monitoring are logged.
I have tried it checking the message at adapter level, but it is showing 'No results' (even in the case of successful pick of the file for the first time, not even it is showing other file adapters).
I was not able to understand where the problem could lie?

  • While MRp run which time is taken into consideration(from PIR or from MM)

    Hi PP gurus,
When we run MRP which time is taken into consideration for a bought out material :
From Material Master ( Planned delivery time)
    or
From Purchase Info record : the delivery time mentioned in the PIR ..
In my case the MRp run is showing 2 different results in different systems for the same material.
Also please let me know that if there is any priority that can be set in SPRO for picking up the time while MRP run and what takes priority and when.

    Hi!,
If you are getting two different values after MRP in two different systems then please check:
    1.  whether any other info record exist for the same material in any of the system.
    2. Have you maintained source list in both the systems for the material. How many sources are defined in the source list and in what sequence. If you have not maintained a quota arrangement then system will take first line item of the source list.
You can't set the priority for the planned delivery time but you can set whether system should take planned delivery time from info record or not in IMG setting Material Management > Consumption based Planning > Planning > Procurement Proposals > Define External Procurement. To use the planned delivery time from info record you must maintain a source list for that material with same vendor. Also make that source as MRP relevant.

  • Urgent : While MRP (MD02) :syntex error

    Dear All,
while MRP run I am facing the syntex error
    "Syntax error in Formula FST_01
    Message no. CR323
    Diagnosis
An error occurred in the formula definition.
    Procedure
Define the parameters for the formula in Formula FST_01."
Please provide ur valuable inputs to solve the issue.
    Thanks in advance,
    Vijay Mankar

    Dear Mr.Vijay,
1.Is there any Variable size item in the BOM.Please check this.
2.If so check in OS15 - Define variable size item Formulas, whether the formula has been created properly.
3.Also check whether you have used your own formula in work centre.
4.If so,please check whether you have maintained proper formula parameter in OP17.
5..Also check the formula is created properly in OP21.
<u>I'm sure your problem might be because of variable size item formulas.</u>
    Check with this revert back.

  • Labels Batch No allocation in Purchase requistion while MRP Run

    Dear Experts,
While running the MRP PR are generated for labels as per BOM to purchase department, but in our case labels are purchased by purchase department, So can i give the batch number to purchase department through PR, so that they can print the labels as per the batch number mentioned in PR.
    Regards,
    Phalgun Patel

    Dear Phalgun,
    Thanks for your appreciations.
In PR you can maintain texts at Header level or at Item level. Go to transaction ME52N - Change PR & Enter your required PR no.
Now if you want to maintain some common texts for your complete PR then enter Header Texts. For that you can click on the Expand Header tab below the bucket trolley or press Ctrl+F2. Texts tab will be opened. Now you can enter the texts in the field of Header texts.
If you want to enter the texts specific to any Items, then you have to enter texts at Item level. For that you have to select that item and click on the Collapse Item Details or press Ctrl+F7. There also you can select the individual items from drop down which are present in the PR. Select Texts tab and there you can enter the required texts, in your case you can enter the required Batch No. for those items. Here you have different options like item texts, Item Note, Delivery texts etc. etc. You have to double click on those options where you want to enter the texts.
Further for your information, to copy those texts in to PO, you need to do the customizing with the help of your MM Consultant. Also you can print those texts on your output.
Hope now this will be clear to you.

    Hiren Ramani

  • BOM explosion while MRP run

    hi all
I have a FERT for which raw materials are assigned in the BOM. but while running MRP, the BOM is not being exploded and the list doesnt show the raw materials.
I have checked in the Overall maintenance of the plant parameters in MRP in SPRO and the required paramenters are maintained. The scenario is MTS - strategy 10.but still the BOM is not exploded.
    Could anyone solve my query
    Thank you in advance
    chandra

    Hi Chandra,
Could you please check if there was an exception message "50 or 52"? If so then it can be beacuse for the BOM explosion date system is not able to get a BOM.
If there were no exception messages then check in MRP4 view of the FERT material for dependent requirement defination. This should be blank.
    Hope this helps..

  • Strange behaviour while charging

My iPad 1is unusable while charging.
In iBooks, for instance, it will not change pages properly, either moving between pages randomly without user input, or refusing to change pages when directed.
In other apps, different forms of unusual behaviour occur, all seeming to be associated with random detection of user input when none is applied, or incorrect response to real user input.
It operates normally when off charge.
    Any advice, please.

Are you using the Apple supplied cable and power adapter or third party accessories? Are you charging by plugging the power adapter into a wall socket?
I would check the cable, the power adapter, change the wall socket - do the basic things first and try to narrow down the cause. It just be that your cable is bad - it could have a hairline crack that you cannot see - try another cable from an iPod or iPhone - do some experimentation.

  • Strange Behaviour while scanning from Canon MP600r with 10.5.7

    Dear all,
I am working with the Canon MP600r (wifi) and scanned without any probs in Tiger. In Leopard I could not scan until 10.5.5. came out. Again everything was fine. Now in 10.5.6 and 10.5.7 I have strange problems: I can use the preview, abut while scanning suddenly it says that there is no communication with the scanner...!!
    Hope for little help
    Thanks
    Bernhard

    Hello Bernhard,
Your issue sounds like there may be a problem with signal strength. I would open the Canon IJ Network Tool (which you can access via the Utility icon from the Printer Queue) and check the signal strength.
If the strength is okay then you could try scanning at a low resolution, such as 75dpi. If you usually scan at a higher resolution, then scanning at a lower resolution will make the scanned file smaller and if that works then you know you still have a network quality issue. What brand and model of wireless router do you have?

  • Sales order while MRP run

    Hello friends;
My requirement is such that when i run mrp in MD02, system should not consider those sales order that are planned in previous MRP run. System should consider new sales orders that are created after MRP run.
    Waiting for reply.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
One solution is go for individual Sales Order/Line Item MRP run using T.code MD50.
But I can't understand problem with use of MD02.If Receipt element(Plan order)is there which contains the Account Assignment of that Sales Order line Item then I don't think system will replan for same Sales Order Line item.

  • Erratic behaviour while firing a BAPI

    Hi All,
In my application, I am using a BAPI.
I enter an account no in the text field and data corresponding to it is returned.
The problem I am facing is that, very rarely a data for different acccount no is returned. This happens 1 in 20000 times approx.
I have tested the BAPI in SAP R/3 number of times. It works fine there everytime.
Is this a problem related to BAPI. Kindly help me to know why this very rare erratic behaviour occurs at front end.
    Regards,
    Nikhil

    Hi,
Place the code which executes the BAPI and fetches data in others block of Web Dynpro component or view and call it from anywhere. This will ensure sequencing of requests.
      //@@begin others
      synchronized void testMethod()
      //@@end
    Plz remember following points:
    a) the scenario u have posted should be reproducible otherwise you can't check whether code changes of above have taken effect or not.

  • Peculiar behaviour with pathfinder/apply stroke to group

    Hello all!
Although I have lurked on this forum for a while, this is my first post, so apologies for any etiquette breach!
I've been using Illustrator (CS4/MacOSX) for a while, but every now and then it throws me a curve ball. Either that or I'm having a particularly gormless evening and failing to spot something obvious!
I hope posting images is ok, it'll help me explain my dilemma!
First question is this. Is it possible to outline a group - not each individual component, but the edge of a whole group? To achieve something like this 'sticker' effect:
    http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b310/mewsie80/nana.gif
Which I had to go about a long-winded way and create a copy of the whole thing, use 'expand appearance' to expand out the strokes, then pathfinder to 'unite' into one shape, then apply a stroke to that and place it under the grouped leaves. Seems such a faff - and Illustrator is smarter than that, I'm sure.
    What am I missing?!
Anyway - using my crazy work around, I am trying to do the same thing with this image of an axolotl:
    http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b310/mewsie80/roscoe01.gif
Now - if I do the same as I did previously, to expand out the brush strokes (the red of the gills):
    http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b310/mewsie80/gills1.gif
Then use the 'unite' command in pathfinder, it seems to lose its definition and just do strange things to the shape:
    http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b310/mewsie80/gills2.gif
So it sort of scuppers my work around! Can't think of a reason why this is the case - earlier on I was getting even stranger results that I couldn't replicate to show you.
I've even relaunched Illustrator, but still getting the same effect.
Anyway - thanks a million in advance for your help - hopefully you can point me in the right direction
    Thanks folks,
    Caroline

    Caroline,
Is it possible to outline a group - not each individual component, but
the edge of a whole group? To achieve something like this 'sticker'
    effect
You can fake it if you:
    1) Select the group,
    2) In the apearance palette/panel tick Add New Stroke,
    3) Drag it down below the Contents in the (main) Appearance palette/panel.
Note that only the outer half of the added stroke shows behind the group (less if the objects are stroked).

  • Strage behaviour while executing the Procedure

    Hi All,
In Schema "Dwr_trade" we have one procedure Proc1. There is another schema
" Dwr_trade_user " this schema has execute privilege on Proc1 of "Dwr_trade" schema.
When we are executing the procedure Proc1 from "Dwr_trade" schema as follows
Dwr_trade --- (Procedure is created here)
    Begin
    Exec procedure Dwr_trade.Proc1

It gives error ,but when we are executing the same procedure after removing the prefix "Dwr_Trade" it is executing successfully.
when we are executing the procedure from "Dwr_trade_user " then also is working fine.We are executing it as follows.
    Dwr_trade_user
    Begin
    Exec procedure Dwr_trade.Proc1

Any pointer why this is giving error in 1st case.

  • ATO assebly behaviour in MRP

    Hi Experts,
I am looking for answer for a strange behavior of planning,
I am having std BOM for FG ( Finished good) having ATO attribute enabled at org level. Child part of FG is 'Comp1 ( purchase item) and there is no routing. Now sales order is book for FG having qty 1 with project xyz, also progressed further. Now work order is also created for it for this SO demand. WO contains project and task info.
Now I am running MRP . Here workbench shows that cancel the work order created by progressing SO line and release another planned order which will be get converted into work order further.
Logically, we have created work order for a SO demand, then why planning is suggesting cancel exisitn work order and release another work order from workbench. What is reason behind this strange behavior.
More info - organization is project enabled, plan options : reservation level = project-task, hard pegging level = project-task, FG item attribute value for 'pegging level' = 'End assembly / hard pegging'.
    Thanks in advance / Dipak

Thanks for your comments Sandeep. WIP project is same as SO project and WO is not firm.
I have seen that ATO ' assemble to order' business means - all child comps are in stock, so just matter of assembly. With this base line, these item should not be planned from planning, but there child comp will be planned from planning. I have done the same, also seen that WO belongs to non-mrp planned items, will be considered as demand. so corresponding MRP planned comp will be planned. This is my obervation / understanding. what you think ..

    Dipak
