log from PIX firewall when connecting to http://www.perstorp.se (netware
6.5 apache)
Dropping TCP packet from outside:194.23.101.3/80 to
inside:193.17.67.1/55747, reason: MSS exceeded, MSS 1380, data 1460

Answer to point 2 from Cisco:
The 7.0 release introduces several new security enhancements, one of
which is a check for TCP endpoints which adhere to the advertised
Maximum Segment Size (MSS). In a normal TCP session, the client sends a
SYN packet to the server, with the MSS included within the TCP options
of the SYN packet. The server, upon receipt of the SYN packet, should
recognize the MSS value sent by the client and then send its own MSS
value in the SYN-ACK packet. Once both the client and the server are
aware of each other's MSS, neither peer should send a packet to the
other that is greater than that peer's MSS. A discovery has been made
that there are a few HTTP servers on the Internet that do not honor the
MSS that the client advertises. Subsequently, the HTTP server sends data
packets to the client that are larger than the advertised MSS. Before
release 7.0, these packets were allowed through the PIX Security
Appliance. With the security enhancement included in the 7.0 software
release, these packets are dropped by default.

I have talked to the customer and we have decided to migrate the server
to SLES.
I will still try "Set TCP Path MTU Black Hole Detection and Recovery=on"
before migrate..

  • PIX 506e - cannot browse startup.html

I just got a PIX 506e from a friend that was not longer using it. I'm trying to get started with the configuration page. I've reset it to factory defaults, rebooted and connected up ethernet. I can ping the device at 192.168.1.1 and access it via console. I browse the site https://192.168.1.1/startup.html, get the invalid ssl certification, get a login prompt (user/pass) and as the document says I leave it blank. As soon as I hit ok it goes to the 404 error Page Not found.
    Thanks in advance!
second part, anyone have a good article/document on standard configurations via cli? I worked my way through
http://www.dslreports.com/faq/15785 but didn't have any luck. Thats why I want to start with the web config then work into CLI.

    I meant to reply sorry.
I found out that its 6.3 but that the previous owner removed PDM. I found the download on cisco HOWEVER I don't have an account so I have no way of actually downloading the PDM or 6.3 with pdm bin file.
do you know where I can get that?
    thanks

  • Transfer pix from zoom browser to picassa. Canon sx150is

I had Canon personal e-mail directions in fixing problems with my sx150is camera but after that being accomplished, I can no longer download pictures to Picassa as before. With approx. 400 pictures in Picassa I do not want to change my downloading now.
I had 2 different suggestions to correct this problem from Canon personal, also from technition but they have not worked to correct my problem.
I tried downloading from 2 other Canon camers that I have with the same results.
Thanks for any solution to correct this problem.

    Bfattuck:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You won't get that information in iPhoto. For some reason it only reads some of the data and not all. It's because the different camera manufacturers write much of the data in different fields so iPhoto only reads those commonly supported fields. It's more a problem with the camera manufacturers than with iPhoto.
You'll need a 3rd party application like EXIF Viewer.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Advice required on optimal MTU and MSS settings for GRE and IPSEC connections

    Hi,
We have 2 remote sites (Site A and Site B) which connect to our datacentres (DC) over IPSEC VPN and connect to each other over GRE tunnels.
We had some issues recently which we believe were MTU/MSS related (browsing web servers at one location not appearing correctly etc)
We got some advice from our Cisco partner and tweaked some settings but I'm still not convinced we have the optimal configuration - and we still have some problems I suspect may be MTU related.  For example, from our DC (connected to Site A by IPSEC), we CANNOT browse to the webpage of the phone system hosted at Site A.  Yet, we CAN browse to the webpage of the Site A phone system from Site B (connected over GRE)
Site A and Site B have two WAN internet circuits each - and each provider presents their circuit to us as ethernet.
Here are the relevant interface settings showing the currently configured MTU and MSS (both routers are configured the same way)
Can someone advise on what the optimal settings should be for our MTU and MSS values on the various interfaces or how we might best determine the values?

You can't do that in HTML. You need some server-side
    scripting to check
and parse the HTTP Accept-Language header, which is sent by
    the browser.
On an Apache server a feature called "content negotiation"
    might be
another option to let the server decide automatically which
    language
variant of a page to return.

  • Logging browser type in access.log

Can weblogic log the browser type such as Apache and Stronghold support? The
documentation does not mention it but I cannot imagine weblogic lacking this
    functionality.
    Thanks,

But the servlet which inspects User-Agent property will not be able to log
every single access which is recorded in the access.log; only those which
    ask for the servlet itself.
So, if a browser requests your index.html and index.html does not involve
calling a servlet in order for it to be displayed in the browser, you won't
be able to log the browser type which requested the page.
Is the logging within WL going to be enhanced to be more than the current
    and very basic ) implementation?

You can use the servlet api to retrieve the User-Agent request header toget the
os and browser type/version. Not quite sure if you can intergrate thisinto the
access log though. But it can easily be logged elsewhere.

  • Creating Stacks in PSE 3.0

I have WXP, using PSE 3.0.
My problem is that sometimes when I try to create a stack, it will not allow me to (area greyed out). Sometimes it goes just fine (I select using the Control key, etc). Obviously I am doing something different, but am unable to figure out what. Any ideas?
Another question relates to upgrading to 5.0. When I went from 2.0 to 3.0, all my pix in File Browser--Organizer reordered themselves for me by the date taken, except where I had gone in and changed the date of the pix myself (I have many old family pix from early 1900's and try to label them all as to year taken, but MANY are not labeled yet). Is there any way to tell the program to just leave them in the order they are in now?
    Thanks!

    Hello,
maybe your problem has to do something with loading SLPDA.NLM. If you
cannot get to open Autoexec.ncf then go back to DOS-Mode, rename this
file in C:\nwserver-directory and start again. i have seenthis behaviour
on servers loading SLPDA with no network-communication and they stop
loading at WPSD.NLM. Try to load SLPD.NLM manually when the server is
up. After that shift the line in Autoexec.ncf where you want to load
Slpda.NLM to the end of the file and boot the server again to see what
    happens.
    Good luck

  • Setup issues: Apache plugin for Weblogic

    Hi,
I've spent couple of days without success trying to configure apache plugin for weblogic. I've configured in accordance with bea documentation and it works fine in windows environment but fails in Solaris 9.
Plugin log file says it's processed the request successfully but I see error message in browser saying it can't find the jsp file. It works fine if I access the weblogic box directly without going through apache.
    I'm using Weblogic 8.1 SP2, single server.
Please find below the messages appear in browser, plugin logs, and apache version.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes it is IBM Http Server, but it works fine from Windows accessing the same weblogic server I'm trying to connect from Solaris.
I see 500 error in the apache access log file.
I've also tried with by setting "MaxRequestsPerChild" to 0 in the apache config file but no good.
Please find below httpd.conf file content.
    ==============httpd.conf===============
    ServerName eus0000168.eu.verio.net
    # Based upon the NCSA server configuration files originally by Rob McCool.
    # This is the main Apache server configuration file. It contains the
    # configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
    # See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/> for detailed information about
    # the directives.
    # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
    # what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
    # consult the online docs. You have been warned.
    # The configuration directives are grouped into three basic sections:
    # 1. Directives that control the operation of the Apache server process as a
    # whole (the 'global environment').
    # 2. Directives that define the parameters of the 'main' or 'default' server,
    # which responds to requests that aren't handled by a virtual host.
    # These directives also provide default values for the settings
    # of all virtual hosts.
    # 3. Settings for virtual hosts, which allow Web requests to be sent to
    # different IP addresses or hostnames and have them handled by the
    # same Apache server process.
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    # server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do not begin
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log"
    # with ServerRoot set to "/opt/IBMIHS" will be interpreted by the
    # server as "/opt/IBMIHS/logs/foo.log".
    ### Section 1: Global Environment
    # The directives in this section affect the overall operation of Apache,
    # such as the number of concurrent requests it can handle or where it
    # can find its configuration files.

    # The directives in this section set up the values used by the 'main'

    # <VirtualHost> definition. These values also provide defaults for
    # any <VirtualHost> containers you may define later in the file.

    # in which case these default settings will be overridden for the

    ### Section 3: Virtual Hosts
    # VirtualHost: If you want to maintain multiple domains/hostnames on your
    # machine you can setup VirtualHost containers for them. Most configurations
    # use only name-based virtual hosts so the server doesn't need to worry about
    # IP addresses. This is indicated by the asterisks in the directives below.
    # Please see the documentation at
    # <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/vhosts/>
    # for further details before you try to setup virtual hosts.
    # You may use the command line option '-S' to verify your virtual host
    # configuration.
    # Use name-based virtual hosting.

  • Lost ability to connect with Server from workstation

NW 6.5 sp5 on a Dell 2900. I am adding an additonal harddrive to our server
for use as an archive disk in a separate volume. After I loaded it into the
server and created a new VD in the raid bios I booted the computer and found
I couldn't connect from my workstation to connect to IManager. When I
looked on the logger screen I got messages about a possible bad certificate
with suggestions to run sys:/system/tckeygen.ncf or
    ndlap or
    sys:/tomcat/4/bin/startup-config sys:/adminsrv/conf/admin_tomcat.xml
    Nothing helped.
I rebooted the server again and did not get the messages above I looked
through the logger screen and found several messages, I have no idea whether
    they are new or common.

  • c:redirect behind a proxy server

I have a two servers and a browser:
    Browser A --------FW 1 ---------- Apache HTTP B ----- FW 2-------- Tomcat C
    24.150.4.10 192.168.1.16 128.1.1.3
    On tomcat, I'm using a <c:redirect url="relative.jsp" /> to forward a user to a relative URL.
The problem is when the redirect occurs, it's providing the browser with the IP Address of the Apache server as seen inside the Firewall instead of the IP Address of the firewall that is portmapped to the Apache Server (which is the IP Address that the Browser originally issued the request to.
I think this is because the redirect is not honoring the x-forwarded-host header that contains the hostname given by fw2?
Has anyone elxe experienced with this? I found this post: http://lists.fourthought.com/pipermail/4suite-dev/2003-June/001418.html which sounds like an exact match.

Contact your ISP for instructions on how to obtain a direct connection.

  • Mouse.hide() not working on air/mac app

    Hi,
I have an air app with a Mouse.hide() that is not working on the mac, but in an odd way. It has the latest AIR runtime as of the other day and I am publishing to AIR 2.0 from Flash Pro CS5. I'm making it from windows where it works fine, but the show computer is a mac mini.
I am calling Mouse.hide on the Document class in the ADDED_TO_STAGE handler (right before going FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE), as well as 2 seconds after ADDED_TO_STAGE via a timer.
Here's the thing. If you launch the air app from the dock in osx, it works every time. However, if you launch the app from a finder window, the Mouse.hide() does not work! It also doesn't work when the app is set to run at login, as this is a trade show display setup just to run this app. It is also worth noting that in this case, the app still does have keyboard focus as the keyboard events are registering properly. Hit "M" and I've got the mouse hiding that way with no problem. Trouble is the client wants it to be automatic, so that show staff can hit the power button on the computer and be done.
I would post my code, but seriously it's just on ADDED_TO_STAGE -> Mouse.hide() and it hasn't changed. Shouldn't that work? This has been working since the beginning of this project almost 10 months ago but just stopped working recently (within the last couple of times we have updated software on the show machines).
I need to come up with a solution to this, but as far as I can see the only solution is to upgrade the project to run at 10.2 and air 2.7 to use native mouse cursors and load a blank cursor. To do that I think I would need to convert my .xfl project over to a flex builder project with components but I'm still not quite sure how to do that, so it would definitely take some time :/
thanks for reading this and if you think it would help for me to show my code I'll put together a test bed.
    Nick

    Hi Chris,
Thank you for posting. Here's what I filed 6-27-13, but I did not receive a tracking # from Adobe:

    Feedback Report            : ******BUG******
    Concise problem statement:
When using Flash Pro CS6 to build a standalone Mac .app player, this code from CS5/AS3 no longer hides the mouse cursor. SWF and .exe files are not affected.
If you use Mouse.hide OR the FULL_SCREEN command, they work fine. Just not concurrently, like in CS5.
    Steps to reproduce bug:
    1. Use the following AS3 code together:
    stage.displayState=StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;
    Mouse.hide();
    2. Publish .fla as .app
    Results:
App is full screen but mouse cursor is showing.
Expected results: Mouse should be hidden.
