"upgraded" to Bold and trying to synch and transfer data but my computers not recognizing Curve. It recognizes bold, therefore problem is either Curve port or USB cable. The Port isn't loose (already had that experience with a previous Curve), but charging requires "just right" insertion into port. But it will charge. What are my options so I can get on with transfer. Thought about getting new cable from Blackberry but can't find reference for such purchase. Have used other adaptors on port without charging difficulty. But when I noticed port becoming sensitive decided to change before I would have data transfer problem..

contact support, enter your serial number of your device and see what they tell you.
As to your frozen screen, have you tried to reset it? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. See if you can get it to reboot. If you see a silver apple, it's rebooting.

We recently bought an Apple Mac and now I cannot download music from ITunes to my Ipod Nano. Although the name of the Ipod comes up, I cannot load any music on it any more. Our last computer had Microsoft software and I was told this is the reason the Mac will not allow any downloading. Do I have to clear the music off my Ipod and start again? Please help.

Earlier, I downloaded Mt. Lion (currently using Snow Leopard). Download went fine but to Install, something seems to have hung up with quitting open applications. Keeps telling me to do that, but each time I hit the blue button to quit open applications, won't do that. I've tried quitting anything open in the dock, still says I need to quit open applications. Tried quitting Install for Mt. Lion so I could restart and try again. Can't do that either. What to do now? Any help appreciated.
CMD+OPT+esc should bring up the Force Quit Application. Select the Install ML app, and click Force Quit. That should do the trick. Then, save yourself some grief and copy it to a safe place because the ill-designed installer deletes itself during the installation process, necessitating wasting resources DLing it again if you need to reinstall or recover it.

This can be caused by a number of issues.
Was everything working and then suddenly stopped??
Or is this a new clean setup and has never worked.
Do you have a cable modem which is not a router and the TC setup in bridge? That will cause it. The TC must be in router mode, ie dhcp and nat.
Check the IP the MBP gets including dns and gateway..
Then check the ipad/iphone.. post what IP dns and gateway (router in applespeak) they get. -

ITunes Match won't allow me to delete playlist, How can I fix this.
I was trying to clean up my iTunes library, by deleting some old playlist that are not doing the work for me anymore. Guess what?, after I had deleted all the playlist I didn't need, iTunes Match restore them all when I did an iTunes match update. I want to stop this from happening, please help.
Stop invoking the Update iTunes Match command after you delete the playlists. There is no reason for you to use it in this situation. Just delete the playlist from iTunes or the iOS device and they will be removed from all the devices.

but the 2 internal 56ks (one in each computer), will not connect.
just dials then beeps, or no dialing tone.
the 2 internal ones are differnet makes, but connect through PCI
there must be something wrong with Mobo settings or pci stuff
all internet and modem settings are correct, etc etc etc

If your not hearing dial tone you might have your phone plugged into the wrong port. Most modems have 2 outlets, one is labeled line ( that is the one you should have plugged into the jack (RJ11C). If that's correct, query the modem and see if it tests OK, you may have a defective modem. -
My Time Capsule won't allow me to access my home wireless network for several hours each day -- usually between 1000-1830 or so. My modem is working correctly and I can still get on-line by going straight from my computer (MacBook Pro) to the Ethernet port. It must be the Time Capsule -- any ideas?

Wireless Interference
Might be caused by a cordless phone in the vicinity. To give you an example, my neighbor.....across the street...used to be able to literally crash my wireless network if he was in his front yard talking on his cordless phone.
I discovered this by accident one day after spending weeks trying figure out why my network would crash at random times.
Other possibilities include a wireless security/camera system near you
Still other things might be an amateur ham radio operator....which should not interfere....but again from experience, I know that this can occur.
Yet another possibility is another wireless network near you that is being turned on and off at random times. Some users power up their modem/router only when they want to do so and leave it off otherwise.
Some general rules to help avoid interference:
Move any cordless phones that you might have as far away as possible from the Time Capsule and/or your computer(s)
Avoid placing other electronic devices....computer, television, amplifier, satellite receiver, etc. near the Time Capsule and/or your computer(s)
Avoid metal surfaces near the Time Capsule and/or your computers
Elevate the Time Capsule as much as possible. Think of it as a water sprinkler....you want to get the room as wet as possible
Experiment with different wireless channels on the Time Capsule. To do this:
Open AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule
Click Edit
Click the Wireless tab
Click Wireless Options
Start with Channel 11 on the 2.4 GHz band and work your way down
It is unlikely that you are picking up interference on the 5 GHz band since there are.....for now at least.....far fewer networks using this frequency. -
I just purchased an ipad2 and I can receive e-mails but I can't reply to or forward them. I also can't send a new e-mail. I receive a message that the e-mail has been placed in the outbox because the server won't allow 'relaying.' On my laptop, using the same e-mail server, I am fine. Contact whoever manages your email server and ask them what ports and security to use for SMTP from remote locations. ISPs and email admins often require different SMTP settings when sending email when not connected to the server's or ISP's network.

When you say won't let you set the outgoing mail password, have you gone to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calenars > Accounts and the account name > Outgoing Mail Server > Primary Server > Password and set the password at that point? Do you have SSL switched ON or OFF as required by your carrier, and do you have Authentication set to Password, and the Server Port set to what your carrier wants to see, usually 25?
