After installing the most recent version of Toshiba's Value Added Package, the two buttons (toshiba assist and backlight on/off) do not work properly: they open instead a firefox browser window.
I assume there is something to configure in the "optimisation" section of Toshiba Assist.
When I open the program "Toshiba buttons functions" (sorry for the puny translation, in Spanish it's called: "Funciones de botones de Toshiba") all the entries are blank and I have to indicate the Url of the program supposed turning off my LCD's backlight...
I have no clue where to find this executable.
Can anybody help me?

I hope I don't have to use such an extreme solution. Mainly because I *really* don't have time for restoring an OS. Furthermore, if I have to restore everything every time I update the computer: what is the point of updating?
There must be a more subtle solution... don't you think?

Power button doesn't work after new update...and that's the least of it

Ever since I updated my 4S with the new software my phone has had so many problems:
Power button no longer works. I have to hold both the home button down and the power button to "reset" my phone to turn it off.
I am having to do this CONSTANTLY b/c my phone freezes up ALL the time. When texting, using maps, other apps. Sometimes I can't get the freaking thing to even unlock. Texting is a disaster. Half the time they don't go through and when my phone freezes up for the millionth time that day and I reset, I later find out that my freaking texts didn't even go through. I HATE THE NEW SOFTWARE HELP!!

If you are able to hold your home button and sleep/wake button down at the same time to reset the phone, you should be able to power it off just fine...

Blue ThinkVantage button doesn't work after installing Win 7

I upgraded the OS on my T510 from Windows 7 32-bit to Windows 7 64-bit, and now the blue ThinkVantage button does not work. I re-installed Rescue & Recovery, and it is working. Should I be concerned about the blue button? Is there any way to fix this problem? Thanks!

Download the TVSU then run it and it will install all the drivers and software needed to run your Win 7 x64 bit properly.

Browser button doesn't work after installing drivers - HP 4540s

Hello everyone,
I have problem with browser button (the button next to wireless button) after installation of "Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices" (more specifically "HP Hotkey Support" - Win8). Before that the button works fine, but after installation of this driver it does not work anymore.
I update my BIOS and I did not find button sittings there.
On HP's drivers site there is only driver for Wireless button.

Wow, that's odd...there might be a registry error in Windows preventing it from working correctly. Do you have any kind of registry cleaner?
I don't want to recommend too many things for you to download, but I personally use CCleaner to clean and fix my registry. I would recommend uninstalling HP Support Assistant, downloading CCleaner and run the registry cleaner. After you run the registry cleaner, reboot the computer and then try to re-install HP Support Assistant. Hopefully that will work.

Acrobat PDF Maker doesn't work after installing UPDATES(!) to Adobe Creative Suite 3 (on Windows 7)

Hi,
I installed Adobe Creative suite 3 Premium on Widows Vista....then upgraded to Windows 7,...never had any problems.
Today Adobe Update Advisor downloaded and installed some updates to Adobe Professional 8 (that came in a package with Adobe CS3 premium)....since then (it has been 3-4 hours), I cannot convert any document into PDF using ANY application MS Office 2007, as a Printer in browser...etc..
The error message says:
"Missing PDF Maker Files.
Do you want to run installer in repair mode?"
I clicked on Yes, then waited, then restarted my PC, and that didn't solve the problem"
Adobe Support (a very unfriendly guy) told me that AdobeProfessional 8 support for Windows 7 is not available and that I can either upgrade to Adobe 9 (no way, I paid way too much money for Adobe CS3), refer to Adobe Forum, or reinstall Adobe CS3.
Can someone tell me how to solve this problem without reinstalling the whole CS3?

Why did you “upgrade” to Windows 7?
Shouldn't have Microsoft given you free updates to Windows XP or Windows Vista to give you all the fixes that appeared in Windows 7?

The pricing of upgrades to new software versions reflects the cost of providing support for newer equipment and software environments as well as any new features.

Go step by step and test.
1. System Preferences > Other/ Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
     Press the "Delete All" button
     Install Adobe Flash Player.

    Quit Safari.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Enable Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Web Content: > "Enable Plug-ins".
       or
    Internet Plug-ins > "Allow all other plug-ins
3. Check whether you are currently in YouTube HTML 5 trial.
     http://www.youtube.com/html5
    At the bottom left of the page uncheck the box beside
   "You are currently in the HTML5 trial".
4. Reset Safari.
    Click Safari in the menu bar.
    From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
    Uncheck the boxes beside all items.
    Check the box beside "Remove all website data".
    Click "Reset".
5. Turn off Extensions, if any.
    Safari > Preferences > Extensions
     Now try YouTube.

I too have had the problem since updating to Lion. My superdrive isn't even recognized. I have repaid hard disk permissions and also reset PRAM. Sure wish I had a fix.

If it suggests that you install iPhoto again, install iPhoto again. In your Macs Box that it came in there should be 2 Discs, one is an Applications CD (You need this one) And another is the Mac OS X.
Insert your Applications CD and hold C while the computer is starting up, then you will be walked through the installation of Applications.

Submit button doesn't work after moving form to another parent container

I'm re-arranging the page using jquery. When I moved a div or table containing a form to another div, the submit button doesn't work anymore. Using the emulation mode under the Inspect Element feature of IE, the same code works for IE9 but not under IE10
and up.
Any ideas?

When you distribute a form, it replaces the email address that you've set up in a submit button with the email address you have specified in "Edit > Preferences > Identity > Email Address". So before you initiate the Distribute Form process, change the email address there to the one you want to use.
It is a ridiculous solution, because it means I have to make the identity of my personal copy of Acrobat the email address of someone else or some other department when I make the form, but whatever -- at least the form sends now.

I have the same issue as described at the beginning of this post. As noted by teacher, I have checked and confirmed the green light in back is still lit. I just bought this printer and issues started from the beginning. After I unplug and then restart the printer that way, it turns on and the power button will turn off and then turn on the printer. Its only after its static for a long time and goes into some undefined mode. At that point, the printer no longer responds. How can a company ship a product to customers in which the power button doesn't work? Treo 700W blue tooth w/daimler Chrysler uconnect not working after installing updater.

Anyone having problems with their 700W blue tooth working after installing the updater? My Jeep Grand Cherokee's blue tooth uconnect system was working flawlessly until I installed the updater. Now it will not work. I've went through all of the procedures several times. The phone will discover the uconnect but when you put in the 4 digit pass code that you have given to the vehicle it will not connect thought the secure connection. I have called Verizon and Daimler Chrysler and they both do not know why it will not work. I have reset the uconnect system on the vehicle per their instructions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the exact same problem - Treo 700W (verizon), Dodge UConnect circa 2005 (Grand Caravan [tough to admit, but yes a mini-van]), running Win XP, Active Sync 4.2, USB connect with the Treo.
Had perfect connectivity until running the most recent update, now the Treo will initially recognize UConnect when attempting to pair the phone, but after supplying the 4-digit passcode, it won't connect. It tells me the "passcode is incorrect...". I'm 100% sure the passcode in correct. I've tried deleting the phone from the UConnect multiple times and tried several different combinations of passcodes (0000, 1234, 1111, 2222, and many others) and all have the same result.
I've also successfully paired the Treo with other bluetooth devices, so it appears this is a UConnect - Treo problem.

Filter button doesn't work after changing worksheet name

I am using Bex 7.10. I have a workbook with 2 queries. I want to change the name on the Tab for each sheet but when I do that the Filter and Information buttons no longer work. Is there a way to do this?

Check in the Design mode and right click on the Filter tab and check do you see all the filters listed?
If not you can reinsert the query to a new workbook and try.
