Re: Printing Cancelled line items in the sales order on the packing slip

Hi gurus,
Currently we have a unique requirement in our company. Our wholesale customers send the Purchase order to us via EDI. Now saw they have requested an order containing 10 materials out of which we can fulfill only 8. the other 2 due to some reasons cannot be fulfilled.
So the business wants to keep the other 2 line items to be entered in the sales order with a cancelled status.
Now correct me if I am wrong, only the confirmed line items will be copied from a sales order to a delivery document. So thats the reason why these cancelled line items cannot be printed on the packing slip.
However somehow the business wants the packing slip tp have the 2 line items printed on it with the reason of not being delivered. this is to facilitate the customer to know why those items couln't be fulfilled by our company. Now we cannot use a manual work-around of letting the customer know about the impossibility of not fulfilling the other 2 items as there are a lot of orders that come thru EDI per day.
Can anyone suggest a solution to this requirement asap.
Thanks in advance
Vinit

Hi Vinit,
This requirement makes a lot of sense, that is to be able to inform your customer that some item(s) of the sales order could not be delivered, not even partially.
A possible solution would be to allow for zero quantity in the delivery item (check customizing and mark "zero quantity allowed" in the item category).
Then in the packing split, it would be easy to print the delivered quantity (0) and the sales order quantity (whatever it was), because you have the "null" item available in the delivery.
Personally I am not found of having have delivery items with zero quantity, but they are useful in that case, and they can also be useful to automatically "close" the sales order item (instead of having to do it manually if the goods can't be served).
Note: Usually in Consumer Goods, if you can't serve part of a sales order to a customer, you have to close it, because the Retailer's next Sales Order will include the remaining quantity.
Hope it helps.

  • Cancel line item in Locked sales order

    hi Gurus,
I have a saler order created in R/3 thru BDocs transfer from CRM. The order created in R/3 is now locked in R/3 because of material number different in CRM and R/3. Thus, now the order cannot be accessed in R/3 in change mode. It gives an error message- "Sales document is in use by "_____" user. If I check Sm12 for the lock entries for that user, no entries are found.
Such locked order are many times generated. I want to make changes to such order.
Is there any way to unlock such orders?
Secondly, is there any program or functional module that can be used to make direct entries in order tables (according to the changes required) without actually opening the order (Va02).
"Mass change" or "BAPI for sales order change" is not funtioning in this case as they call VA02 for changing and anyways now these order are not accessible thru VA02.
    Please help me.
    Regards
    Alfa

    Hi
These sales orders have been locked by the user (not a dialogue user) which is used for the BDoc transfer from CRM to R/3. Generally orders created in R/3 from CRM can be also be changed in R/3. But because of data difference between R/3 and CRM now the orders are locked. It is not allowing to update any data from CRM also.
So these order getting unlocked from the user is not working because now no updation from CRM to R/3 on these locked orders are happening.

  • Limitation of line items in a sales order

    Dear Guys,
Kindly confirm me whether I can make a single sales order with 500 line items or not ? Again if it no then how many line items can be taken in single sales order.
    Thanks and regards,
    Atul

    dear atul
I think the correct reply would be 999,999 because data type of item number POSNR is NUM 6, which means that it can hold upto value 999,999.
However, at the same time keep the following into consideration:
    1. FI document has a restriction of 999 line items per document. So, depending on the account settings, there will be a lower limit. E.g. if each Sales order line item results in 2 line items in the accounting document, then the max. no. of SO line items is limited to 499.
    2. If FI summarization is active, then the system summarizes the account postings, thus reducing the no. of FI line items. Hence, a SO can accomodate more than 999 line items. However, this means that certain line item level details will not be available to the Finance guys (which they may not like).
    3. As the number of line items in a Sales order increases, the system performance suffers greatly. There are performance fixes available, but in general, it is painful to load a SO with large no. of line times through BDC's. 10 Sales orders with 100 lines each consume less system resources than 1 Sales order with 1000 lines.

  • How to delete the line item from a sales order

    Hi all,
how to delete a line item from the sales order for which the production is already happened and it has been delivered. the production order status is DLV.
    Regards
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
I think you can just delete it in the sales order directly, if you are using make-to-order scenario, then there will be special stock left for the sales order as the production has been goods receipt, you need to use MM transaction move the stock to unrestricted use stock. If you are using make-to-stock scenario, there should be no further problem. If you are using assembly order, please try to reject the sales order item to see if it could fullfill your requirement.

I assume, you want to display sales order number in accounting document..... .
This is not something you can do it through the BADI..
You will have to change the G/L account field group (if it is already not there). you can then assign sales order number when posting to FI.  In the field group, better choose sales order number and item number as optional fields.
If you can see the sales order field (may be empty) - you have to enter the sales order number when you post it.
    Good luck

  • Unconfirmed line items of a sales order into account in credit management

    Hi Gurus
Updated the customer orders via prog. RVKRED09.
There is only one open order for this customer = 720662. My question is: in the credit master the sales value/credit exposure is USD 77.100,00. The order is for USD 105,900.00 .
Found out that line item 20 is not confirmed in the schedule lines. So the value in the sales value/credit exposure  equals item 10 and 30. So my 1question is: Where is the setting that  does not take unconfirmed line items of a sales order into account in credit management?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Nalini Iyer

    Hi nalini
Even though , you create a sales order for that line item , but if that item is not confirmed then the value  wont be considered.  into credit exposure. .
But once it gets confirmed then the value will be taken into credit exposure..

  • Keep Quote line item numbers in Sales order

While creating a Sales order from Quote, SAP always creates line items with 100,200,300...and so on.
If quote has 3 line items say 100,110, & 120 and we create a sales order with reference to this quote in VA01. The sales order line items become 100,200 & 300.
The requirement is for Sales order to also have same line item numbers i.e. 100,110 & 120.
To retain quote line item numbers in Sales order the ABAP change will be in VOFM or user exit?

    Hi,
It is not a straight forward thing. Adding data to table XVBAP won't work. It will create inconsistency. There are so many other tables involve here too, like, VBPA, VBUP, VBKD, KONV. There can be other tables too based on how your sales order is configured.
Also, modifying these tables (XTAB, YTAB ) in this user-exit may cause database inconsistency.

  • Line item creation in sales order

    Hi

  • I want a push button for line items in my sales order entry screen.

    Hi,
I want a push button for line items in my sales order entry screen.
    How can I do so?
    Thanks.

    Hi Kumar ,
To have a push buttons you need to first assign a pf-status .
here a sample code for a push button and its handling :
      set pf-status 'SELECT' .
    at user-command .
      describe table t_lpr lines w_lines .
      case sy-ucomm .
        when 'SELECTALL' .
set pf-status 'SELECT' excluding 'SELECTALL' immediately.
          do w_lines times .
            read line w_line field value w_check . " INTO W_CHECK .
            if w_check = space .
              w_check = 'X' .
              modify line w_line field value w_check.    "INTO W_CHECK .
              add 1 to w_line .
            endif .                        " IF W_CHECK = ' '
          enddo .
Thus when you say pf-status say 'select' , Double click on that and you find a screen eher you can select icons and assign a function code to it!
    Hope it helps!
    Much Regards,
    Amuktha .

  • How we can give the confirmation of the sales order to the customer.?

how we can give the confirmation of the sales order to the customer.?
after the we generate thge sales order how we will give the confirmation to the customer automatically or in any way in SAP SD

A confirmation can be given to the Sold to party for the sales order by means of an output type, which is the  most used functionality.
You can create an output which can be a word or PDF document, or an email , fax etc. Based on the kind of confirmation you want to give (Document, email, fax) do corresponding settings in the output for printers, email settings, fax settings etc. and enable this output to be triggered during sales order creation by assigning the output to output procedure for sales documents. This part of configuring an output is done by Functional team while the email, fax settings are done by basis team in combination with tech team.
The output should have a smartform and corresponding report program to populate the smartform. This part should be taken care of by the technical team.
Once all these things are done, if a sales order is created, the output will be triggered which will send a confirmation document, email , fax as per the configuration to the sold to party. If you want the confirmation to be send to more partner functions, that is also configurable in the output configuration.
Pls reward points if it helps.

  • Displaying certain Line Items on a Sales Order

I have sales order with both line items that are populated because we have BOM Items that are marked as u201CSales Relevantu201D items from a production BOM and I also have some items that are line items generated from a true Sales BOM.  The user wants to see the sub items from the Sales BOM on the Sales Order but doesnu2019t want to see the sub items from the u201CSales Relevantu201D Production BOM.  If I select u201Cdisplay range -> main itemsu201D it will hide all the sub items but I really want those sub items with the sales BOM to be displayed.  So I want to be able to display those sub-items that are Sales BOM relevant but not those that are flagged as Sales Relevant on the Production BOM.
The key element tied to the sales order line item is Item Category do you know if there is a way to automatically display/hide sales order line items based on the Item Category field?

If it is standard program and config is done,  it should work by itself. I am wondering why not.   Fine, if it not working, why don't you put a requirement in the output Determination Procedure against the relevant output. You need to copy standard requirement 2 ( Program LV61B002)  and  insert logic to not print if ABGRU  or DRAGR is populated? This will be a 2 minute code to write.
SPRO/IMG/Sales and Distribution/Basic Functions/Output Control/Output Determination/Output Determination Using the Condition Technique/Maintain Output Determination for Sales Documents/Maintain Output Determination Procedure
But why don't you leave struggling with reasons for rejection and work with Delivery blocks instead. I suggested this before to somebody else in the forum. I think Delivery blocks (DB)  work  equally well without the bad effect of reasons for rejection (RRJ). Its like this: In stead of deleting an item, use RRJ, In stead of RRJ, use DB. Having said that, I am skeptical that it may also (not) work similar to RRJ. Try it after the Requirement  (above) option.
If you want to go that 'route' (Pun intended):
SPRO/Logistics Execution/Shipping/Deliveries/Define Reasons for Blocking in Shipping
Let me know how it goes.

  • Line item txt on sales order

I changed my line item type to text on the sales order.  Now I want to add that text field to print on my order, but I can't find where it is stored.  I have checked the RDR1, INV10 tables, but the text I typed isn't there.  Anyone know what tables holds the data?

    It is RDR10, not INV10.
