Re: Qosmio F60 - sound disappear sometimes
Sometimes without being my laptop in silent mode the sound cannot be heard.
Then I go to the windows bar and after that pressing on mute button to be in silent mode and pressing the same button again then the sound appear.
Does any one have an idea to end this think and to make it works directly.
t

> and about the system restore can any body give a clear link about how to do it on qosmio f60 win 7
That simple:
Either you will use the HDD recovery or you will use the Recovery disk this disk should be created using the preinstalled software Toshiba recover disk creator.

Thats a problem from my knowledge the ASP would test the notebook with factory settings and if the issue would not appear using factory settings then this would mean that the hardware is ok

>Have you noticed this behaviour on all games you want to play or just by newest games?
I talking about (Starcraft 2) it was working perfectly before but new the sound lag badly that i disable the music and scape the cinematic part to play it.
>While gaming, do you use your notebook with high performance power plan?
Yes I use it.
By the way: sending DX info is OK but Im 100% sure nobody here will read this. I hope someone read it.
@ Xardas,
I try all the things you just say, and sadly it doesn't work. I have the last display and sound driver and last DirectX, I use the high performance power plan while gaming.
I try Disable AntiVirus/Firewall while gaming but it the same it doesn't work.

Whining (bleep sound) Qosmio F60
Hey !
My Qosmio F60 making a very annoying bleep sound. The source of this bleep is approximately the left side of the keyboard under the Q,W,A,S buttons. It's only if the notebook don't have to work hard. If i am playing games or watching TV the sound is gone.
Anybody have the same problem ?
Maybe you can help me out to solve this problem.
Thanks
_specifications:_
Intel Core i5-430M (2,26 / 2,53 Turbo GHz | Front Side Bus : 1.066 MHz | 2nd level cache : 3 MB)
6 GB Ram
NVIDIA | NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M with CUDA Technologie>It's only if the notebook don't have to work hard.
Start your notebook, enter BIOS settings and leave it for a while. Can you hear this sound again?
To be honest it is not easy to say for sure what it can be but if you can hear it again and again I think you should contact nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. You have new notebook with valid warranty so the repair will be for free.
Some software related issue can be fixed easily but I presume described issue is hardware related issue, so best option is to contact service and ask for help. -
HP Envy 4 1080-ex Sound disappear
I have a HP Envy 4 1080-ex Ultrabook, running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, it is not under warranty.
Unfortunately the audio does not always work on my HP.
After starting my computer, I hear the check-in sound normally, after 1-2 minutes (sometimes 30-40 min.) all of the sound disappears. When I look at the volume mixer, I can not see the green bar rising and falling so I think there are not generated sound.
I checked everything in Control Panel, there are nothing disabled and there are everything all right (according to Troubleshooter).
But there are one thing what I noticed: Sound/Playback/ my IDT HighDef. Audio speakers properties/ Advanced -> TEST.
When I click at the test button, I can see a Windows message "The device is being used by another application"
I think that my system is up to date, because HP Support Assistant checked all of my drivers and these are up do date..
Today I checked my operation system, it is up do date as well.@kissgergoHU ,
Hello and welcome to the HP support forum and thank you for posting. First thing you would want to do is try a system restore back to when you know the sound was working. This will remove any updates and software changes that may have happened.
Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 7)
If that fails you can run the system back to the original settings by doing a system recovery.
Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 7)
I hope this was of help. Please post back and let me know

Re: Qosmio F60-100 Blue-ray doesn't start movie or even menu
Hey guys !
My Toshiba Qosmio F60-100 works perfectly. There's just the blu ray drive that causes problems, because each time I put a Blu ray in, it starts the "Win DVDBD" program but never starts to play the movie or even the menu.
I just don't know how I can solve this problem.
I have already tried with the famous update but when I try to install it, i get a message telling me that the update isn't for my computer.
Thanks in advance for your help.
VolkiYeah I've tried several BDs. It's really strange because sometimes it worked, but after I restarted it two or three times. Now It's the fourth Disk that makes reading problems. Now, I remember. I got to solve the problem once, because I registrated for win dvdbd. It worked .. until I shutted down my laptop. Now it's the same as before.

Qosmio F60 - Can I use my other Windows 7 disk to install?
I'm buying a Toshiba Qosmio F60 within the next few days and I saw that it comes with a 64bit restore partition but preinstalled with 32bit. I was wondering if I can use one of my other Windows 7 home premium 64bit oem disc's to install windows 7 and use the product key on the back without voiding warrenty and have it pass validation?
Because I like a nice clean Windows install without all that other stuff like office trials and oem software.
Not sure if this is the right place or not but sounded right.if its the same edition of windows it shouldent matter should it? and uninstalling things tends to leave a messy windows install, i will install a few of the utilities that the defualt one comes with but alot of the stuff new PC's come with can be hard to uninstall and tied into each other.
becouse it comes with a recovery partition with win7 home premium 64 bit presumably OEM, i understand that windows oem for large companies eg toshiba use a file ti activate that matches up to the specific hardware of the pc, but u should still be able to activate it online or on the phone the normal way as long as its the same edition and pc should u not? -
The sound disappeared on my ipad. Please help me its my only device
Ok 3 days ago the sound disappeared on my ipad, there was no slider on the music app or when I double click the home button, nothing happened when I used the volume buttons. However, when I slide the ringer in sounds in setting there is sound so that proofs there is nothing wrong with my speaker, and when I use headphones there is sound. I have tried everything, restarting, rebooting, checking if its mute, but then I read something and it told me to clean my dock connecter with alcohol and a toothbrush. So when I did it IT WORKED,but then sometimes it happens again and its really annoying and frustrating, also when I leave it and sleep in the morning it's working. Please any ideas on how it solve this permenatly
1. Double-click the Home button and swipe the Task Bar (at bottom) to the right. Check volume and mute settings.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo -
I have a Qosmio F60. Model number : PQF65L-00W011
Specs : Intel Core i3 m330 2.13GHz
Nvidia GT 330M 1GB DDR3
4GB DDR3 1066 MHz RAM
So, I'm trying to play some games, like Battlefield 3, Killing Floor and Grid Autosport.
On Battlefield 3 I got around 40, sometimes 30 FPS when everything is set to low. On Killing Floor I got like 50-60 FPS. And the last one, which is Grid Autosport I got around 40-50 FPS.
All of this games, after playing like 10-20 minutes, drops to single digits FPS like 1-7 FPS.
I believe this is caused by CPU throttling. Are there anyway to fix this? I'm sorry if you don't understand me as I'm not English. That doesn't appear to be a US model, and this is the forums for Toshiba USA. You may want to contact Toshiba in your region.

Sound disappears can't find the reason
Product: C6D08EA#ACB
Serial: [Personal Information Removed]
The sound disappear at all after some time of notebook usage. Sometimes it works well for long time without a problem, for example in games. But it can disappear when I use skype conference for a while. Or citrix gotowebinar.Hi @egens ,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
It is a super place to find answers and tips!
For you to have the best experience in the HP forum I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide Learn How to Post and More
I grasp that your audio will disappear after some time. At other times it will last for an extended period of time. It can disappear when using Skype conferencing or citrix gotowebinar.
Has there been any recent changes?
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver?
Have you ran the Windows troubleshooter?
Have you ran the HP Support Assistant to check for HP updates?
You could also test the audio card for issues. HP Notebook PCs - Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 8)
Good Luck!

Sound disappeared in Safari and BBC Radio Widget
Two days ago, without warning, the sound disappeared from both Safari and my BBC Radio Widget. All other sound on the computer is fine and if I play an MP3 through Safari it will play but otherwise there is silence. (Problem was discovered by our 5 year-old who was disappointed that there was no sound coming from the CBeebies websites!).
Have checked all other sound options and everything is in order.
Went to local Mac re-seller and they shrugged their shoulders and said try here.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for any help.You're welcome.
If there is a preference file associate with the widget, move it to the trash before you reinstall a new copy. The preference file will be name widget-com.(name assigned to widget).plist. You can try a search in spotlight on look in your User Library>Preferences folder.

I have a iPhone 4S and when watching videos on the internet sound cuts out as the video is playing. The rest of the video plays with no sound. Sometimes when I pause It and play again sound comes back but not all the time. can anyone help?
The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check. -

Why is the sound disappearing when I send a video?
I have an iPhone 5C. When I record a video and send it, the sound disappears! I can hear it just fine when I play the video back on my phone, but if I send the video to someone, they can't hear it. Why is this happening? I tested it by sending it to my email, and sure enough, the sound is gone! Am I doing something wrong when I send it, or is there a setting that is off somewhere that I need to adjust?
I can't even see where that setting is.. for my information all the footage is from a GoPro so what I've had to do is convert them to .mov and Apple ProRes 422 now. Now when I have them in final cut the samples in 'All Clips' and in the time line look ok in till I hover over them and then they have the red hint again, they do how ever export the right colour now but this is going to make colour correction difficult

Does Qosmio F60-00Y have an Optical Audio Output (toslink\spdif)?
Does the Toshiba Qosmio F60 Australian model have an optical audio output?
Hi
I found this Toshiba page about Qosmio F60-00Y:
http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums//thread.jspa?messageID=194743
Unfortunately, there is nothing about SPDIF and digital output.
I found some details about European F60 series and didnt find any info about SPDIF
For me it looks like the SPDIF is not available but this is just an assumption
