Re-register a computer with iSync

Same story: iSync does not function after upgrading to 10.4.3 on one of my computers. Used to successfully sync my G4 in Europe and G5 in the USA through .Mac.
Latest attempt to Sync my "updated" G5 failed. Now back to my G4 and trying to Sync I get the message that my computer is "unregistered" and are left without important data. I am prompted to register again, but only an "Unregister" choice is given to me in the iSync dialogue.
How do I re-register my computer?

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
With the release of Mac OS X 10.4, iSync no longer has anything to do with .Mac - that is now handled by .Mac Sync, accessed via a System Preferences preference pane.

Have since upgraded the e-mail address in account manger, but it still locks me out and rejects my user name and password when I try to log in. Sounds like some needed System Fonts wre replaced by bad ones. Y also have Font Book in Applications for validating fonts & checking for duplicates.
Required Fonts from 10.3, much the same in 10.4...

then intall the Fonts what you need from your Install Disk.
Or do a relatively painless Archive & Install, which gives you a new/old OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space and no Disk corruption, and is relatively quick & painless...

Struggling to register my computer through iSync - doesn't see the internet

I am running Panther 10.3.9 with iSync 1.2 I have a ,mac iDisc with two gigs available. My internet connection is by Cable/ethernet (in the System/Network) and works fine for Mail, Safari/Netscape Explorer but when I click on "Register your computer" iSync comes back to say there's no internet connection!

I cannot activate my computer with my Adobe ID after having activated my ebook reader with the same ID. I get the error message: "You cannot authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that was previously used to authorize another compuer or moblie device". Shouldn't it be possible to use the same ID on more than just one device? I would like to read the same book on my ebook reader and on my computer.

Unfortunately, you de-authorized your computer but NOT your items.
Once a book is accessed on one ID, it cannot be used on another ID.
I am afraid you may be stuck ... if you are lucky the vendors will give you a second chance.

This is a vicious trap that Adobe lays for unsuspecting customers.
When you register 'without ID', ADE creates an anonymous/implicit ID with limited powers (eg can't be used to share with other devices).
Whenever you first load a DRM book, that copy of the book is associated with whatever ID the computer is registered to at the time.
Any book you load while this anonymous ID is active gets associated with that ID, and can't be read on any other device.
When you properly register your computer with a real ID, that old anonymous ID is lost.
Now you don't have any devices that can read the book.
I think that even if you de-authorize again and revert to anynomous authorization, it will be a different anonymous ID, but worth a try.
Not helpful for you if reverting to anonymous doesn't help, but general comment that might help other readers .....
The only way I know round this is to use a DRM stripper such as epubee BEFORE you deauthorize the device.
I do NOT advocate using such code to get around the valid limitations placed on a DRM book.
However, where the problem arises only because of the ineptness of Adobe's ADEPT DRM infrastructure and its implementation,
such a measure is totally justifiable.

I am having trouble enabling cookies. My bank requires my computer to be registered. I have privacy settings to receive third party cookies but I am still being asked to register my computer. The Bank tells me it is a problem with my internet provider.

For those with similar problems, the solution is this:
Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > MIDI Drivers
Then delete DigiDioMidiDriver.plugin

Iphone will sync itunes content with one computer at a time. If you sync to another, it will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer.

Just recieved a brand new replacement ipod nano 7th generation and when plugged in to computer it is not registering on computer or with itunes, I have tried resetting ipod. I have uninstalled itunes and reinstalled itunes. I have tried various cables and know they are compatible for charging the ipod, what else could it be?

Baught & Registered Apple Care with Computer. Now they say I am not.

I Baught & Registered Apple Care with my Computer November Last Year. Now they say I am not registered and need the receipt. I am in Bolivia and do not have it with me, calling costs 3-5$ per minute! Any advice on resoliving this issue with them? Also, limiting phone use would be great, Thanks in Advance.

How did you originally register Apple Care, by phone or online? You can double check Apple's Warranty Info website or check with the Bolivia User Group on how to proceed without paying for a phone call.

My wife has an NOKIA E71 and she syncs with iSync. Everything works well, but when she adds a meeting on her phone, it does appear on the computer after syncing. Anyone? We have an iMac 24" with the latest MAC OS.

Hello Kerrigaj,
After a re-install of OS X 10.5.8 uninstalled the E71 in iSync and moved it out of the bluetooth-device list first and completely re-installed it using the bluetooth manager (SystemPreferences/Hardware).
No extra thirdparty-software involved and ever since no problems.

I helped him create a new email address and new iCloud account on my Mac but when we try to register the phone with Apple it says: Maximim accounts limit reached for this device. When I checked the support site for Romania, you apparently don't have an Apple Care contact center. You "may" try calling the US Apple care number to verify the account and have the password reset sent to a different email address. 800-694-7466

Sorry to ask, how do I do it please. I have my first ipod with the same account on both computers that have different libraries one of which I am building now. Do I have to de-authorise my original ipod on the computer that I want to use my new ipod on with the new library and then register my new ipod. I would rather do this than have 2 libraries on one itunes, but keep the same account details.
