Re-Registering a Handset

I have been given a Blackberry 8820 by my Daughter-in-Law, who has Unlocked it.  I cannot use it with my Vodafone account because it needs to be re-registered.  How can I do this , please?

Did you subscribed for BlackBerry data plan? For getting full access to BlackBerry device features you need to have BlackBerry data plan from Vidafone. Having Internet data plan will not make entitle to use all the BlackBerry device features. It communicates through a special APN called blackberry.net.

I checked the route plan report and the generate report function on the BAT.. however it doesnt has the feature to generate only the registered IP phone with its coresponding extension

Call manager provides the called party with the extension or directory number of the calling party on a display. You can use the Calling Line ID Presentation field in the Gateway Configuration window to control whether the CLID displays for all outgoing calls on the gateway.Refer URL

  • Problem de-registering graphite cordless handset f...

Hoping someone might be able to help.
I bought a BT2500 quad base cordless handset set. I then re-gistered an old BT Griphite handset to the base station. However, as I can't get all functions on the old handset, i bought a 5th BT2500 handset. However, the base station only takes a maximum 5 handsets, so I need to de-register the Grphite before I can register the new one. Problem, when I try to de-register the Graphite handset it fails everytime. I'm trying to do it by: Advanced Settings>De-register>OK (the left hand soft key)...it just take me back to the Advanced Settings menu and doesn't de-register the handsets. Anyone have any idea how to get this sorted?
    Thanks in advance.

Those are the instructions for the Graphite 2500. My mistake sorry

  • De-Register BT Diverse 6210 Handset from Base

I have a BT Diverse 6210 Handset which has ended up registered to two different Base stations.
How do I De-Register the handset from one of the base stations, so it will always only use one base and never try to use the other one?
The only option I can find on the menu is to register the handset to yet another base station! I can't find any option for de-registration.
A "factory reset" would probably do the trick, but I can't find how to do that either!
    Thanks in advance.

Actually I've just found a way to do this. Not sure if it's the correct way or not, but it seems to have worked :-)
    1) Select "Registration" from the menu, and attempt to register the handset again to the base station from which you want to de-register.
    2) Enter the system PIN when prompted.
    3) When the display says "Press and hold FIND button on base station..." - don't do it! Remove the battery from the handset.
    4) Replace the battery and switch the handset back on.
The handset is now de-registered from that base station :-)
As I say, this seemed to work, but if there is a "proper" way to do this I'd still be interested to know what it is!

  • CIT200 unable to register handset

CIT200 was working correctly with Skype. Did a fresh XP software load. Ran through all XP update. Reinstalled Skype which works fine. Reinstalled CIT200 from original CD. Unable to get handset to register with base station. Handset sees basestation. CIT200 software finds and see Skype.
Uninstalled CIT200 software. Download current software from Linksys. Same problem.
CIT200 not supported on Linksys CHAT
Linksys wants more money for a support call than a CIT200 can be bought for.

    Any suggestions appreciated

To register the handset ...On the handset, go to Menu - System - Reset. Reset the handset by providing the Pin code (by default 0000).  Then again go to Menu - System - Register. Input the Pin Code as 0000 but do not press OK. Now press the Page Button on the Base Station for 5 secs. The light on it will start flashing. Once the light on the USB Base Station starts flashing, then press OK to confirm the Pin Code.

  • Dualphone 3088.1 Handset and Receiver 3088.2

    Dear All,
I just bought an extra handset model 3088 to replace to current one that I have.
I bought it trough Amazon, sold by Chat and Vision, and received it ok.
When I tried to register, it never registered, and then after some googling I found out that there's not only one model of 3088, but several ones like 3088.1, 3088.2...
So... my base station is 3088.2 and the extra handset that I bought I found out that is a 3088.1... It seems that they don't communicate with each other.
The problem, is that that Company and Amazon didn't say nothing about models in anywhere of product description or any warnings to consumers... and now I have an extra headset that I can't register.
Would like to have your technical support about this situation, and your suggestions.

I would think that since they carry the same model number the version number should not have any affect on a successful registration of the handset.  As far as I can tell there is not much that has to be done to register a handset, so if it does not work, then the handset may be defective.
    The obvious:
Make sure the base station is on and the reset button has been pressed putting it in a mode ready to register handsets.
The key things I would try if it fails:
    1.  The battery from on the other working handsets, in case there is an issue with the one you received.
    2.  Deregistering all the other phones, and try to re-register that singular phone.
    3.  Resetting the base station and inserting the new phone into the cradle to register it.
You can alway pose your question about versions to dualphone support:
    http://dualphone.net/en/information/online_support/
You can contact Chat and Vision/Amazon about the same thing or inquire about returns or replacement:

  • Broadband Talk handset numbering on Home Hub 2B

Upgraded recently from an old Home Hub 1 to a 2B version.
Initially, I made a bit of a mess in registering the two former handsets used for BBTalk access and as an internal intercom.  Therefore I used the De-register all handsets option from the Hub's menu so as to start again from a "clean sheet".
However, it seems that the de-register option doesn't actually remove all the previous settings as I'm now left with a mess as to the internal numbers assigned for intercom calls between handsets.  Handset 2 is now No.4 and Handset 1 responds to internal calls to Nos. 1, 2, or 3!  All I wanted was what I had previously, ie Handset 1 assigned as No.1 and Handset 2 assigned as No.2 with Handsets 3 & 4 spare.
While its only a minor irritation, I'd like to tidy it up.  Any ideas please?

The home hub 2 type b has the buggiest firmware known to man, if you have an un-altered backup of the home hubs firmware, I would replace it and start again as the firmware still saves previous states even though you have reset it back to factory defaults.
I'm beginning to realise that the internal workings of the 2B does not accord with its smart black exterior!  I do have a slightly used HH2A that a friend gave me when my old HH1 started having problems with ADSL2+.
Does your experience suggest that a 2A is a less bug-prone device than the 2B?
Just about everyone on this forum suggest the type A HH2 rather than the type b it simply has been out long enough to have had most of the bugs worked out of it, Where as the type b has had an obscene amount of complaints about it from unable to media share, unusable connections, loss of hub phones I could go on all day lol
Having the option of either a used HH2a or a new HH2b available, I took your advice and changed over to the HH2a.  Now in respect of intercom calls between the (now) three handsets (a 2.1, an old 1010, and a really ancient DECT phone), the HH2a does "what it says on the tin" with each handset allocated just a single internal number to call even after de-registering and re-registering.
So telephony-wise I'm sorted with the HH2a.  Many thanks.

  • Registering Dualphone hand set

    Hello,
I tried to help out my boss who was complaining that his skype home phone set was not ringing when somebody calls his skype number (956-205-0907) on his home phone (dualphone, model: RTX3088.3). It received calls but it didn't ring. I wasn't able to help him. Figuring it might have been a problem with it not being registered properly to the base, I attempted to re-register it. So I went into the wireless settings and attempted to register it. Only now it doesn't work at all. It's disconnected and when I try to register it, it just says (in Spanish): "Gateway abierto no encontrado"."
Please help me fix it. I want to register it and have it ring when it receives a call.

Take the batteries out of the handset for a minute or two, reinstall them, and go through the standard procedure for registering the handset to the base. this should fix the registration problem. The lack of ringing is anothyer problem, probably failure of the rear-facing speaker. Either get a new handset, or if you're brave you may be able to replace the speaker (see my post on this subject).

  • BT Graphite 2500 not registering with base.

I have had a graphite 2500 twin for around 18 month now but all of a sudden the main handset started acting up. It wouldnt answer 75% of the time and the other 25 % of the time it would answer then show up as busy and cut off. I tried everything advised in the handbook and various other things but nothing has worked. The last thing I tried was unregistering then re-registering the handset with the base and now it wont register at all. The other handset works fine, its just the main one that doesn't work.

Could be time to replace the batteries. You could try normal AAA batteries to see if it works, but remove them straight away and don't put the handset in the cradle with them in.

  • Cant re-register with Orange UK BBS?

    Hi All
My wife has a Curve 8520 on Oraneg PAYG. She pays a £5 a monthh for BB services. This £5 is deducted each month. However this month she didn't have £5 on there for them to deduct so BBS was stopped. No problem she thought and topped the phone up and tried to restrat BBS. She has text START BB to 450. Been on Host Routing Services and re-registered the handset. Contacted Orange about 20 times each time to be told they have resent the request and to allow 24 hours etc but all of this is to no avail. We can not get anone to re-start BBS Just wondering if anyone else has come across this problem and if so how did you get it resolved?

    ok.
Please try this FIRST, using your BlackBerry browser...
    1)
    • Go to mobile.blackberry.com OR to www.blackberry.com/integrate
    • Scroll down to Communication and then to Email.
    • Choose the appropriate email set up options.
If that works and completes your email setup/editing, good.
If not, follow these additional instructions:
    2) Register HRT: (OS5) Home Screen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Scroll to any line entry and > press the Menu key > and then click Register Now. If you have an OS 6 or OS 7 device, Look at Options > Device > Advanced > Host Routing Table, etc.
    3) Resend Service Books: Article ID: KB02830 How to send the service books for a BlackBerry Internet Service account. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
    4) Then, with the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
    5) Now, return to the 1) mobile.blackberry.com email setup as mentioned above and follow that.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you!

  • Curve 8520 cannot send/receive calls or SMS when in range of WiFi - since foreign holiday

Re-posting this in the Curve forum, where it belongs... hoping someone can help.
Recently the whole family went to Spain for two weeks. All four of our phones (a Google Nexus 4, a BB Curve 9300 and two BBCurve 8520s) worked OK in Spain, connected to local mobile networks, sent and received texts and so on.
Since returning to the UK, the BlackBerry handsets have all had problems getting re-registered to our home network (giffgaff, which uses the O2 network, as I understand it). The nexus has been fine from the moment we got back, but the BB handsets are not.
The symptoms: when in range of a registered WiFi connection, the phones cannot send or receive texts (SMS) or make or receive calls, when out of range of WiFi, they do (sometimes) succeed. It is as though the WiFi settings are over-ruling the service books / HRT for the mobile network.
The 9300 seems to have sorted itself out, thanks (possibly) to an OS upgrade. The 8520s remain basically useless.
We have tried: battery pulls, SIM pulls, manual network registration, clearing the service books and re-registering, switching SIM cards between the phones (whichever SIM is in the 9300 works OK, whichever SIM is in the 8520 does not work), OS upgrade.
The network shows on the handset screen, and connection is shown as EDGE. But calls do not get connected and SMS messages fail with "too many retries". Attempts to re-register the handset result in a message being received that the handset has been registered but it makes no difference.
The network provider (giffgaff) say they have done everything they can, and I should speak to "an engineer" - but it seems very unlikely to me that all three phones suffered a hardware fault while flying home from Spain, and that the 9300 somehow fixed itself. So I'm convinced it is a registration issue, but giffgaff are not exactly confident in their support for BB.
So - has anyone ever seen this behaviour before, and how can we fix it?
    Thanks
