Re-registering ipad??

Hey there, I got an ipad for a friend of mine but i get to use it for a few days. So can i register the ipad on my account and then when i hand it to him can he re-register the ipad?
I understand the warranty will start on the day i register it but will he be able to have it on his itunes account?

Warranty should start from date of purchase - you never need to register it with Apple just set it up with iTunes. You may get the prompt to register each time you connect to iTunes but you don't have to - I've had mine a few weeks and haven't registered it or numerous AppleTVs

Unable to Register iPad to the directv genie go app

Trying to Register iPad Air to directv GenieGo app, keep getting error message that ......Must be In Home. You must be on your home network and connected to your DVR to setup your GenieGo. And I am at home.

I am unable to login to the amazon account to register. I access the Kindle app, and am brought to the next screen which gives the options: Amazon account email address, Amazon account password, Register this Kindle. If I tap any of the three of this options, nothing happens. I am able to tap the bottom of the screen where it reads: By registering, you agree to the Kindle License Agreement Terms of Use and am brought to the page to read this agreement.

I Bought my iPad In the US but I think I registered it with a Canadian address... I am in Florida and just bought iTunes cards and it's saying code is not valid, something about a US storefront.

Hello mmulder618,
I would recommend trying to download the songs again from your list or purchased songs on the iPhone. As long as you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase the songs, you will not be charged for the songs.

Registered iPad not listed

Hi,
I have 2 different Apple IDs.
On one ot these accounts, I registered all my products.
I got a new iPad and try to register it.
When I do it on the account on which all my other products are registered, I'm said it's already registered on another account.
When I switch to this other account, if I try to register my iPad, I'm said it is already registered (without mentionning on another account) but I don't find it in the list of my registered products (the list is empty).
So, where is it?

You probably by mistake register the iPad in the other account where you Don't have all of your devices...Because it doesn't mention what account it is

Serial number for un registered ipad

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can help, I lost my brand new ipad and I am absolutely devastated.
There is a chance that it may have been handed in to lost property where i last had it but they need the serial number to identify it as they get so many, but I have never plugged it in to a computer, loaded itunes music onto it or registered it. I have also thrown away the box and it was bought from amazon and in their records there are no details of serial no. However there is the find my iphone app on it and I have bought an app from the apple store on it, but it does not come up in devices on itunes or apple support or icloud.
I would be so grateful if anyone could let me know of any other way of retrieving the serial number and would if you could possibly explain in quite simple terms, I am not great with technology.

You said it was bought from Amazon. Why don't you try writing to Amazon and see if they can give you the number. If they put it on your receipt, you can get your Amason receipt online, by signing into your Amazon account.

Help: Can't Register iPad 2, Site Claims SN is invalid

This is my first post in the apple community as this is the first time I've encountered such a problem.
I bought an iPad 2 16GB Wifi today, and even though it's fully functional as we speak, there's something that's bothering me.
I hooked the iPad to my PC when iTunes was open so I can register it, but when I tried to I get the error "Could not complete iTunes store request. The store may be busy" (It's been giving me this message for over 4 hours now).
After searching the net for simillar cases (which I found many of), I figured that manually registering the product on register.apple.com would help.
After selecting my country and entering my iPad Serial Number, it says this serial code is invalid (I'm 100% it's the correct one).
To not make a long story longer, I'll also say that I tried to get phone support from apple, but whenever I enter my serial code on this page: http://www.apple.com/asia/support/ipad/contact/ it also says: "We're sorry, but this serial number is not valid. Please check your information and try again." There's no other way I can get the phone number or so.
Does the fact that I didn't register my iPad 2 waive my warranty? what is the actual "effect" of registering? and has anyone encountered something like that? should I be worried?

Hi, I'm wondering if you discovered a solution. I purchased another iPad and had your same problem. Sometimes what looks like the letter 'O' is actually the number 0 (zero). I registered manually but iTunes gives me the same error that you received.

I have just "searched" for iBookstore USA. Once there I went through a purchase of an iPad case right through to checkout. "Continue" briongs you to a page which asks your Apple ID... but alongside is a panel which states.."Continue as Guest".
I assume Apple are smart enough to realise that moms and dads, aunty's and uncles may wish to purchase gifts for the junior ( or not ) generations of iStuff users!
BUT I would also assume, - that having a Gift voucher for the US store.. Apple US will not accept your UK delivery addess... but nothing ventured....as they say.
As an aside I opened my Apple Account in the UK... then moved to Aussie... I seem doomed to see all the prices in £s and miss out on anything none UK.

Wrong name (person) while registering iPad's Applecare Plan?

Hello there!
My situation is as follows.
My iPad is bought in november 2012 from San Fransisco's Apple Store by my mom. I decided to buy Appelecare Protection Plan now in October 2013 from Valencia's, Spain Apple Store. Serial nr is elibible according to Apple's website.
Bought the plan and Apple salesman helped to register it rightaway. BUT while registering, it shows that my iPad is registered to someone elses name. Valencia's store manager guessed that that person maybe made a mistake and put in wrong serial nr.
Is there a way to fix that problem.
PS! Right now I am not really sure where the original iPad's receipt is or even how I can get copy of that etc.
What are my options?

You can change it if you are running iOS 5. Maybe you're not running iOS 5.

My AppleId has U.S. address. How to register iPad outside U.S.?

I am U.S. citizen, visiting India for an extended period. My AppleId has U.S. address.
When I tried to register my iPad in India, it barfs -- wants me to specify India address. How do I get around this without lying?

Not sure this would work, but it should! Buy a cheap prepaid Visa card while in the states (many stores have them). They take a few years to expire, and should appear as US-based cards on the Verizon website. There is a small fee on the initial purchase which is a drawback.

What if i didn't register ipad with icloud?

i had a ipad2 for 2 years and i never registered the device on icloud.com or downloaded the find my phone app. So the big question is if i have the device registered on just itunes.com can the info that itunes can read be used to manually register my ipad2 without using the device itself to register so i could find it. the device was stolen today in rural area in New York State about 2.5 hours from my home in NYC. Please advise.
