Re run Configuration Wizards

Hello:
I've installed ESR on CE and ran the configuration wizard "Configuration of ESR in CE"
I missconfigured the sld host, appending the "http//" prefix, and now ESR attempts to connect to http:
http:
host:50000\sld
how can I re-run the configuration wizard so I correct this situation?
Thanks
Alejandro

Hello Alejandro
Unfortunately, with the SP3 release of ESR, it is not possible to run re-run the Configuration Wizard. But you don't have to do so to fix the problem - The configuration wizard only takes you through the step-by-step process.
You can change the settings manually by modifying the ESR properties. The post installation documentation is available here

  • Errors in few of the step while running configuration wizard for PI 7.0

    hi all,
i have installed Netweaver 2004s (PI 7.0) quality. during installation i had chosen sld option to be my development system as i wanted to use just single SLD.
now for the post installation steps i had run Configuration wizard. i haven't yet implemented Note : 939592 : PI Usage configuration versus Central SLD as it says first i need to perform all CTC steps.
now in this i got error in few steps:
STEP1 : PI_00_This wizard will execute Postinstall steps of technical configuration for the PI Usage
the error was: CIM_ERR_FAILED: Object manager is not activated
PI_05_This wizard will configure the integration server for sld.
    The error was:
Error: CIM_ERR_FAILED: User credentials are invalid or user is denied access
PI_09_This wizard will configure Role of Integration server
Not able to load function SXMB_SET_ROLE_TO_IS( Connect to SAP gateway failed).
    What should i do?
    Regards,
    Priyanshu Srivastava

    Hi Priyanshu,
"Object manager is not activated" simply means, that the SLD server is not started. So, please, first of all navigate to the SLD URL http://<host>:<httpport>/sld, login with an administrative SLD user -> Admininstration and push the star button.

  • Error to run Configuration Wizard weblogic 12.1.2 # error is  java virtual machine launcher error could not create the java virtual machine

    hi
Error to run Configuration Wizard weblogic 12.1.2
my system is windows xp by 2 gig ram
    and jvm version
    C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_25\bin>java -version
    java version "1.7.0_25"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_25-b17)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 23.25-b01, mixed mode, sharing)
how resolve this problem and how find log file weblogic to this error?

In user environments where the path to java is not already established as an system-level environment variable, the service is unable to determine where to find java and this error will occur.
This could occur, for example, in environments where there is more than one JDK installed, or where the default JDK is different from the JDK which needs to be used by WLS.
Try to set the environment variable  in windows  i.e JAVA_HOME=C:\Sun\Java\jdk1.7.xx.x.  to point to jdk 1.7 and run the configuration wizard.
    Hope it helps!!

I have installed all the prerequisites and I am on Microsoft Geneva Framework 1.0.30624.0 . I saw on a blog that Microsoft Geneve Framework beta 2 will actually cause the above problem. However I encountered the error with Beta 1 version as well.

Any body who has completed the configuration process please help me in this.

    Hi,
I think the problem can be solved by downloading from the marketplace and importing the content manually.
Here is a description of the process:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwesrce/helpdata/en/44/5755451622311ee10000000a155369/content.htm
The exception was because we didnt have the needed files (correct me if I am wrong) (The import can be done before or after running the configuration wizard)

  • System exception running Configuration Wizard after installing several security updates for SP

    Greetings,
Have a 2 server farm, SharePoint 2013 SP1, SQL and SharePoint. Windows Update has 15 updates downloaded and ready to install, 2 Server 2012 updates and 2 SharePoint updates, 11 Security Updates for SharePoint. So, I said yeah, go ahead and install them late
last night when I figured it wouldn't interrupt folks. (dumb move)
Windows Update took awhile, but no errors during the install. Rebooted the server as required. Once the server was back, jumped onto the server console and ran the Configuration Wizard to apply the updates to SharePoint. No problem, progressed through the
screens saying it was going to update, farm and sql information, etc. Config Wizard was going through the steps, then failed with the message: "Failed to register SharePoint services." and here's a link to the configuration log so have a jolly time
tracking it down, thank you very much.
I found the error in the log (down about 10,000 lines):

So I've been searching around trying to find a clue about this. I tried using PSConfig as well, no dice. I tried using my admin account, the farm account, and the initial setup account, no dice. So I gave in about 3:00 AM and took a break, rather than have
my head hit the keyboard. Left IIS down and SP down. Had some help this morning when someone started things back up for me. sigh. So the users have been in on the sites and doing all sorts of important and critical things, so rolling back to the last
backup is the last, last resort. (Fortunately, I did do a manual backup using a PowerShell script before starting all this.)
    Help. Please.
The actual sites are up and seem to be working fine. Central Admin is down though, get a 500 Internal Server Error in the browser, so things aren't correct. Duh. The config wizard didn't finish.
    Thanks much,
    Steven

0x80131904 translates to COR_E_SqlException. Typically this will be an MDF/LDF file out of space, or the volume that those files reside on being out of space. Check that first, then also check the SQLERROR log file for any issues.

  • Running Configuration Wizard

    Hello,
I want to use the Configuration Wizard in Central Admin to attempt Search Services and User Profile Services setup, since they keep failing.  I have deleted the existing service applications.  If I now run the configuration wizard, will this conflict
with or overwrite anything else in the farm?  Most of the services are check-marked and grayed-out so I can't uncheck them.  What is going to happen to all of these.  Any issues with running the configuration wizard?  We've got a lot of
content out there that I don't want to mess up.
    Thank you!

First thing I would do is test this in a test environment to test that what you thing will happen does (ie removing the service apps you removed and using the wizard to add them back in) - this is a best practice. Second, if you only deleted the Search
and the User Profile services and you use the wizard to create only this two services again you should be fine.Simon Rennocks | LinkedIn

  • Weblogic Server 10.3.6 (64bit)- Configuration Wizard - JVM Error

    Hi Friends,
I am new to forum threads. Please don't mind if I have posted incorrectly.
When I try to run configuration wizard of Weblogic server 10.3.6, I am getting the following error in JVM Launcher pop-up window.
Error : Could not Create the Java Virtual Machine
Error : A fatal Exception has occurred. Program will exit.
    Note:
    1) I have followed  Start => Apps => Oracle WebLogic => Configuration Wizard  to load the configuration wizard.
    2) Facing the same problem while loading Fusion Middle Configuration Wizard ( Start  => Apps  => Oracl SOA 11g -Home1  => Configure Application Server )
Kindly suggest me with the best option to resolve the same.
    Thanks in advance.
    Rajesh

    Hi Borys,
    Thanks for your kind reply,
I have installed java-8 on my Window 8 machine, before installation of Weblogic itself and the location of JDK is "C:\Java\jdk1.8.0_25"
And the 'C:\Middleware\SOASuite11gR1PS6\wlserver_10.3\common\bin\commEnv' (windows command script file) contains the correct JAVA_HOME location by default, i.e  JAVA_HOME=C:\Java\jdk1.8.0_25
While installing the weblogic serv (64-bit) , I have Opened the command prompt, navigated to the directory containing the Weblogic jar and entered the below command,
C:\Java\jdk1.7.0_35\bin\java -Xmx1024m -jar wls1036_generic.jar   And successfully got installed the same.
Now, Do I still need to set the JAVA_HOME parameter on my windows ?
( FYI: when I got my windows8.1 OS with the machine, it is having default jre7 location as "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin")
    Thanks,
    Rajesh

  • Weblogic Server 10.3.5 - Configuration Wizard Error

    Hi
I am a newbie to forum threads. Please dont mind if I posted incorrectly.
When I try to run configuration wizard of weblogic server 10.3.5, I am getting the following error.
    Java Virtual Machine Launcher
Could not find the main class:
    com.oracle.cie.wizard.WizardController. Program will exit.
I have't moved any files from installatio directory.
Please anyone help me out to resolve the issue.
    Thanks in advance.

How are you trying to run the installer?
Is it a .exe file OR a .bin file OR a .jar file?
I am assuming that it is a .jar file.
The .jar installers would need JAVA to be pre-installed and then use the pre-installed Java to run the installer
    Something like:
    <JAVA_HOME>\bin\java -jar wls1035_generic.jar
where JAVA_HOME is the location of the Java Installation

  • Problem to specify database access acount in sharepoint configuration wizard

I installed sharepoint 2013 and run configuration wizard.  In the page "Specify Confguration Database Settings" and in the section "specify database access acount" I enter my domain admin account user (in DOMAIN\user_name format)
and pass and I'm sure that I enter it correct. but it say "the password specified for the username account is invalid" !!
    What's the problem?
    Thanks

Normally that means that the password specified for the account is invalid.
Double check the account has been created in AD, that it's unlocked and that the password hasn't been configured to require changing on first use. Ideally grant the account permission to log onto a box somewhere and test it.

  • NWA Configuration Wizard

    Hi
I am Installing NW2004s SR3 ( which is equivalent to Support Pack 14). Later on my plan is to upgrade to SP15.
So I would like to know when I need to run Configuration Wizard
Before Applying SP 15 or After.
    please Help
    Thank you
    With Wishes
    Krishna Kanth

There no documents.. that's pure common sense
Basically theres no difference if you configure it after of before the patching.... patching does not remove any configuration done to the system, in some cases exceptions apply but it will be detailed in the FAQ note of each patch.
So if you do the config on 14 or 15 its the same.
    Regards
    Juan
