There seem to be no drivers on Toshiba europes website for this model, can anyone help please?

I found some drivers in on the Toshiba European driver page.
Yes, the driver page contains some drivers for this unit but I assume you didnt find it because they are placed in archive area.
Seems the drivers have been moved because the Sat 1900 is a old notebook model.

I have checked the Toshiba website and there I cant find drivers and tools for 64bit OS. So I think Akuma is right you should 32bit OS on an old system like Satellite A100. The Toshiba website offers all drivers and tools for Vista 32bit and most of them should also work on Windows 7.
Alternative you can download the drivers and tools from another notebook model that is very similar to yours.
Just search a little bit. :)

Toshiba BT stack can be downloaded from Toshiba BT portal on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/
To have successfully BT module installation it must be enabled properly. For doing this use FN+F8 key combination.
Test it.

Need WXP drivers for Satellite A100 (PSAA9)

Hiya,
I've had to re-install Windows XP on my laptop. I don't have the Toshiba drivers CD though.
So I came here to get the drivers but I've no idea which driver goes with which hardware in my Device Manager.
Here's what I need the drivers for under Device Manager...
Ethernet Controller
Mass Storage Controller
Network Controller
PCI Device
PCI Device (again)
SM Bus Controller
Can anyone advise which specific driver I need for each?

...that 114 different items! And I can see a lot of those items are not mandatory and/or are not drivers. More to point though, it does not solve my problem of needing to know the names of the drivers I should download (as presented on the downloads page) in order to fix my Driver Manager problems?

Satellite L30 (PSL30A) - Need new drivers for Windows 7

Hello I am trying to update my notebook from Windows XP to Windows 7 and need new drivers.
My machine specs
Satellite L30 (PSL30A-00100E)
1.6 Celeron M
2GB RAM
40gb disk space
ATI gfx card (Radeon 200m?)
Intel chipset
Realtek RTL8139/810x family network card
Realtek High Definition Audio Device
Only the gfx card, sound card and network card need new drivers

I decided windows 7 being new I'd give it a go anyways, so I can go back if I have to. I am going to battle on though I think this is achievable. Satellite 1900-303: Is memory slot 2 configurable?

I have a satellite 1900-303 and I ask someone to tell me please if the expansion memory slot 2 is configurable. If it is, what for? To share video memory?
I have seen on one site that is configurable, but on users manual is not mentioned that and I need to be sure before to buy another memory module.

This unit has a ATI MOBILITY RADEON with 32 MB video ram and like Barrie said its not a shared memory graphic card. In this case the memory upgrade doesnt increase this graphic video memory size. But of course the bigger memory size increases the notebook performance.

Bios upgrade for Satellite 1900-303

I have a Satellite laptop 1900-303.
I have downloaded Bios upgrade bios-20071126165418 but when i run the Check.exe it informs me it is the wrong upgrade.
But the text files in the upgrade include 1900-303.
Is there a different Satellite model to the Satellite 1900-303 called simply 1900-303 or is this the correct Bios, please help.

CDROM of my laptop is failing to read from CDs now days and current i want to install new Operating system due to this i decided to use external drive to overcome the problem, but this laptop also fail to boot from external usb connected CDROM and there is no option to set in bios setup to boot from other devices or to external device. From this problem i decided to look for upper version of Bios to upgrade the current one may be it will be able to boot from external drive.
From this situation and my decision can any one tell me if i used wrong or right decision to do this and why so please i need your assistance please.
Your advice is very important to me because i don't hav enough money to by new computer or to order cdrom for this machine and i need to make it working so that i can use for my schooling activity.

Satellite 1900-803: Hi-Speed USB 2.0 card doesn't work

i have a satellite 1900-803 laptop. I recently bought and installed a Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Notebook Card but it doesn't work. the card's manual says that after successful installation i should see a second "universal serial bus controllers" heading which i didn't. i even had it replaced it with another one thinking that there might be some problems with the drivers, but it still doesn't work. everytime i plug in a device such as an mp3 player, a digital camera or a usb storage device, windows just suddenly locks itself up, the cursor won't move, the ctrl-alt-del function doesn't work, and the worst of all, i can't turn off the machine!
the card says that it runs on any 32-bit slot.
i've browsed the user's manual and the device manager to see if mine is a 32-bit one, but i can't really find it. is this probably the reason why it won't work? or is there any other reason for it not working? if this is the reason, is there a way where i can upgrade my laptop's pc card slot to make it work?
please help.

Did you check the Bios? I assume the Toshiba Bios was preinstalled on your notebook. Am I right? There should be an option for changing the PC card controller mode.
There you can change the controller mode to auto-selected, PCIC compatible or Card bus/16-bit.
If the card supports 32 bit so you shouldnt use the 16bit option.
I think you should play a little bit with this option and possibly the card will work.

Ho to reinstall the OS on Satellite 1900 with Recovery CD

My computer has become very slow and I wish to reformat the hard drive and re install the operating system. I have the Product recovery CD-ROM and the Tools and Utilities CD-ROM. Are these the discs all I require to do this operation.
I am also worried that on non of the discs is the Microsoft Windows key reference number to install windows. Where can I get this serial number from?
I bought the machine new.

If you use delivered recovery installations CD you dont need any registrations number like after usage of Microsoft full version installations CD.
Install it and be happy. In 20 minutes only the notebook will perfectly configured.
Back to your second question: Satellite 1900 is pretty older notebook model and at this time SP2 was not available. That means you must install it alone. After installing OS install SP2 immediately and before you start to use it start Windows update option in Internet Explorer.
I have had Satellite 1900-703 over two years and I have never had any problems. SP2 installation was simply and I havent notice any problems with any kind of update.
By the way: this unit has small cooling fan at the bottom side. I recommend you to check it from time to time and be sure there is no dust.

Problem with cd/dvd drive on my Satellite 1900-303

Hi Every body
I bought a Satellite 1900-303 in 2003. Recently, it's cd/Dvd drive stopped to work properly. whenever I put a Cd in the driver it assumes that the CD is a audio cd. if the CD is completly Audio cd or partly contained audio files it opens the cd without any problem. but if cd is data CD or software CD after trying along time my system hangs up. I change the settings of the properites of Cd drive in Autoplay section from Music file to other options such as "mixed content". but after inserting CD into the drivers it agains changes automaticaly to the "music file". I showed my notebook an expert in computer system and facility, he tried to reinstall windows XP to solve the problem but it didn't work. Since the driver was not working he used external driver to install windows XP. but the problem has not been solved.
Is there anybody who knows by accident what I should do to recover it?

did your friend installed the XP from a MS Cd or from the Toshiba recovery CD?
At my Toshiba notebook the autoplay section is also setted to Music file and works properly!
When did this failure occured for the first time? Did you used the MS System recovery option at Start - Accessories - system prog. - System recovery
Perhaps the backsetting of your system solve the problem!
You can also check if a firmware update is available for your drive! (If it is a Toshiba drive go to http://www.toshiba-europe.com/storage/index.asp?nav=HOM&page=HOM&frame=home

CD drive on my Satellite 1900 laptop doesn`t functioning

i have got a satellite 1900 laptop. Now my CD Drive is not working as it does not detect the CD in the drive.I tried uninstalling the hardware and reinstalling it with no help.Any ideas/suggestions please?

Possibly, that the drive is dead and you need a new one.

Satellite 1900 (PS192E) - Doesn't recognize any CD/DVD

Hey all,
I have just bought a Toshiba Satellite 1900 (PS192E) and put an old 20GB HDD into it from an old laptop.
When I boot up, the display is in VGA 16 colour mode, it recognises the DVD drive but doesn't recognise any CD/DVD when inserted. I have tried to install and run Toshibas "driver robot" utility but the display is such that I can't see the whole screen to start the scan.
If there is anyone out there that could give me some guidance I'd be hugely appreciative.

Maybe the drive is faulty, or the lens is dirty.
Can you boot from bootable CD's? If yes, then Windows may have the incorrect filters.
Try removing the CD/DVD Filters from the Registry.
When CD/DVD related software is installed (such as iTunes, Nero, virtual CD software), they install filters into the registry, which can cause compatibility problems.
1) Run Regedit (Start -> Run -> Regedit)
2) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
3) In the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key, and delete the "LowerFilters" key.
4) Reboot.
If your CD/DVD programs stop working, you will need to reinstall them (preferably with an updated version).

Satellite 1900-102: Power Management Utility won't install in XP SP2

Hi,
Wondering if anyone has came across thi problem before:
I had to uninstall the Toshiba power management utility (version 1.3 for Satellite 1900-102 running XP SP2). When I tried to re-install the setup launches and I get a message box saying "Invalid Handle" followed by the error "You cannot install this version of toshiba power management utility to your system" and the setup aborts.
Any help is appreciated.

Why did you reinstall this utility?
As far as I know on the Toshiba website are to drivers. One for Win2k and one for WinXp.
Did you try to install the right driver?

Power suddenly off on Satellite 1900-303

Satellite 1900-303 but still working for surfing, the fan never stops and makes so much noisy, not nice! Problem even worse is that the power will be suddenly off without any notice. This could be caused by the overheating power supply system and it is kind of self-protection, could anyone tell me how to fix this and if it is worth to do so?

I agree with MrPacman.
I dont think that the notebook loses the power.
There is another reason why the notebook shuts down automatically.
The clogged cooling grilles could lead to a higher temperature inside the notebook and to an overheating issue.
This is the reason also why the cooling fans are running all the time.
What you could do is to clean the ventilators using a professional compressed air spray.
Such sprays are designed to perform such cleaning and to get rid of dust and debris from notebook inside

Some basic printer troubleshooting steps before worrying about a printer driver:
1. Have you tried turning the printer off and back on?
2A. Is the printer attached with a cable?
     If yes, have you tried unplugging and re-plugging both ends of the printer cable?
     If that does not help, can you test the printer with another cable?
2B. If your printer is not connected to the computer with a cable, have you tried restarting your printer (assuming wireless connection)?
     Have you tried restarting your wireless router?
3. Have you tried restarting your MacBook? (Be sure to save your work first.)
4. Does the printer have ink? (Doesn't usually generate a 'communications error' though)
5. Have you updated OS X or the program you're trying to print from recently?
