I have a webcam fixed into the laptop and would like to completely remove it so I can use an external one. I have uninstalled the software but it is still there and being picked up by any messenger/page that I use.

If you dont want to use the internal webcam you should remove the software and disable it in device manager Thats all!
Furthermore it would be interesting to know what OS and notebook you have.

Not sure of an answer to your basic question, but it may be that you can run a repair (on Windows --> Control Panel>Programs & Features and run the repair on Acrobat). If that fixes the issue, at least temporarily, at least you will not be reinstalling everything -- a real pain.
Next, open Acrobat and go to the Help to run the updates and be sure you are current. On some OSs, the updates are critical.

Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.

If you are talking about ClamXav, this you would need to follow these directions as posted on his website.

Intego has their own uninstaller which is the best thing to use. Otherwise, see the following. From a practical point of view you really don't need any such software on the Mac.

How do you COMPLETELY uninstall Itunes AND the Settings too??

I am having some troubles with itunes and I was told to uninstall it and then reinstall it again. However whenever I do this the previous settings are still there. I need to COMPLETELY uninstall the program and also ALL of the settings.
My iphone settings are messed up and it is synching with some other calendar, so I need to uninstall the program and then also erase the files where the settings for this are stored. It is not doing it becuase when I reinstalled the program my old settings were still there, I did not have to redo anything.

Thanks again.
I tried that last night. I uninstalled Itunes, I removed all of the "settings" files on the application folder. Then I reset the iphone and erased all data.
While it did erase the playlist and videos and photo information, the MAIL and CONTACT Sync info remained there. I cant get rid of that info for some reason.
Its wierd becuase when I synch my ipod the calendar and contact sync's fine. But with the iphone only the contacts sync not the calendar. It is sync'ing to some other calendar somewhere else and I cant find it. I just need to reset the settings and it will be fine.
Do you have any other ideas. Thanks so much.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Update entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
