Re: Satellite P750 - Online videos are jumpy

Satellite p750
cant watch any video online, audio works pretty well but video is jumpy
what do i do??? please...

Is the speed of your internet connection fast enough - i'd guess 500kbps.
The server hosting the video may be overloaded.
Find a video that stutters on a site that allows downloading and download the video and play back from HD.

  • Online videos are not working

I am not able to watch online video through WIFI on my blackberry curve 8900 phone.  Web pages and Images are working fine.

    Thanks very much.
Actually I am trying to play videos from m.youtube.com .
    1) Google blog says you need a mobile phone that plays streaming videos (RTSP/3GP with H263/AMR). As per blackberry curve 8900 docs these all formats are supported but still I cant play videos. Even I tried other sites , none of online videos are working.
Any idea what can be the issue ?
    2) Do I need 3G phone that?  AT&T customer supports says you need 3G phone .I am not able to get them as I am using WIFI for browsing.

  • When using presenter display, my videos are jumpy. Why?

Hello: I just upgraded to Keynote 3 and am having a nightmare. I use the Presenter display mode so I can see the next slide, (no mirroring) and use a lot of Quicktime video clips in my engagements. In Mirroring mode they run smoothly. In the presenter display mode they stop every second for half a second - making the video extrememely irritating to watch. It worked perfectly in Keynote 2. It 's not the projector - I've tried it on seven projectors that I used prior to Keynote 3 and it happens on all of them. I've tried using different resolutions, different refresh rate modes, etc. Nothing make it work right.
I do 100 speaking engagements a year. HELP! Don't make me go back to PowerPoint!

I have been having the same problem both in KN2 and in KN3. I am a speaker as well and I use about 25 QT videos in my keynote presentation. When I go back and view the QT files outside KN I still have jumpy, choppy parts of my videos. The weird part is that the the videos are choppy at different sections and then they will be fine for a week. I am stumped and from what I see so is Apple. Apple has replaced 2 logic board and I have spent hours on the phone with tech support and still no idea. All I know if about 15,000 people have seen the apple at the front and seen the choppy video and as you can guess all the PC guys always mention how choppy the video was. Not good promo for Apple.
I am interested to see if anyone has any answers to this.
    Thanks
    Brett

  • My avi videos are jumpy/shakey in Premiere Pro CS5 - can anyone help.

I have used avi video in Premiere CS4 and had no issues. Now that I have upgraded to Premiere CS5 my avi videos are shakey/jumpy before and after rendering them. What is wierd is when I nest an avi video from an old CS4 project and imort it into my CS5 project, the avi video is fine and isn't jumpy before or after rendering. I was wondering if anyone knows of a setting that needs to be set or a codec or upgrade that needs to be downloaded to fix this issue. I think its wierd that avi videos work fine in Premiere CS4 and not in CS5. My coworker and I are both editing video and he is having the same issue on his computer so I know its not just my computer. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Flash videos are jumpy and fastfoward if I switch windows...help?!?

This is a problem that seems to have happened after the switch to the newest version of Flash (11,2,202,228). Anyways, I've been noticing videos are fine as long as I keep them in view but if I scroll down on a page, like on Youtube for instance, or browse another window while a video is playing, when I come back to it it will start going crazy fastforwarding-like until it gets to what is supposed to be happening at this moment. I've noticed it on Youtube and also on Skype, the sound usually will continue to play if I go to another window (although there have been a few cut outs) just the video is screwed up when I return to the video, which runs on Flash. Also I used both Firefox and IE, and this happens in both, so it's not a browser problem.
I've thought that this could potentially be a virus however I can't imagine any virus would just affect Flash videos and not affect anything else, considering my computer seems to be running fine otherwise and I've already run quite a few antivirus/antimalware programs, which came up with nothing.

actually, the public beta went live yesterday.  you can try it here if you'd like: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer11-3.html

  • Since Gamers and those who watch online videos are having trouble with Adobe Flash Player 10, why am I, who does neither, having the beast crash all the time?

Adobe Flash Player seems to wait until I am near the end of the Yahoo comics section before it crashes, but not always, sometimes it just seems to have a mind of its own and crashes indiscriminately.

As I am the person having this problem, I am at a loss as to what to say in Reply. I thought I was making progress just by noting that video watchers and gamers were having this problem. Then I thought that it might be worthy of note that it seemed to happen more often when I was reading the yahoo comics section, I happen to like the comics. So, I suppose that my question should be, Am I being discriminated against because I do not watch online videos, play games and happen to enjoy the comics?

  • Online videos are no longer working, how do I fix this?

I have just very recently downloaded a trail version of Adobe Flash CS5 onto my laptop. The version of windows is Windows XP, and the program itself is running as well as it should.
I thought it would be helpful if I went to youtube to see if there were any video tutorials that could help me get started with the program. Unfortunately, right before a video will play, the browser will say there was an error, and close, and then re-try to open the page.
This problem has never happned before I installed Flash, so I can only assume it had something to do with it. Everything else on my system is running smoothly, I even checked every file and processor twice for any signs of adware that I may have picked up accidently.
The only thing I cannot see is a video online, it shuts down Windows Interenet Explorer. Before I take any other action to fix this situation, I would like to know if anyone could please help me solve this problem.

I'm sorry, I don't believe I was clear enough. The video itself on youtube, not my own, is not
playing and shutting down the web browser.
I don't really understand what you are trying to explain to me.

  • What online videos are supported by IPT?

I tried uploading a 320x240 M4V video to my site, but it doesn't play on my iPod Touch.
So what videos does iPod Touch support?

  • Flash Player crashes when watching online video on Win 7

    Hi.
I have just built a new machine and it's got a pretty good spec but I've been having this problem since I installed windows 7.
I have tried 64-bit first and then 32-bit version but still had the same problem.
I can be watchingonline content such as a programme on BBC iplayer or 4OD ( or any other site you'd care to mention) and at some point the whole screen freezes and i'm left with no choice but to press the reset button.
I'm fairly confident that i've narrowed this problem down to flash player (but not 100% sure).
This will occur several time per day & is driving me nuts. Everything else about the machine works great but online videos are a nightmare.
    Any suggestions anyone?
Your help will be much appreciated.
    P.S.
Yes I do have the latest version flash player.

    Hi.
    No, nothing works.
Just went in to event viewer and it's saying something about an atikmdag error.
Been googling and this seems to be linked to ati video cards.
also stuff about Kernel 41 error but from what i can figure out.. this is a very generalised error.
Maybe it's not flash? But why does it only happen during streaming?
    Getting wound up with this.
Want to buy a new videocard to see if that would work but i can't afford to waste the money if its not the problem.
Why didn't i just buy a basic Dell?

  • Satellite P750: Unable to install Bluetooth Stack driver on Windows 7 (x64)

    Hello.
    I own a *Satellite P750-02T* (Part no. *PSAY3A-02T001*).
In the order what I did:
    1) I formatted its HDD and reinstalled OS to *Windows 7 x64 Ultimate SP1*.
Then I downloaded *ONLY BIOS and the drivers* from [its Downloads page|http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/p750/psay3a-02t001/download?os=25] :
    2) I updated its BIOS to *v1.90* (the laptop came with v1.80)
    3) I installed all the drivers:
    - both LAN and WiFi
    - Intel Chipset (latest available)
    - all video drivers (Intel HD Graphics, NVIDIA Graphics, and Intel HDMI)
    - Card Reader
    - Realtek HD Audio (latest)
    - Synaptics Touchpad
    - USB3.0
    - IR
    - TV-Tuner
However, I'm *unable to install the Bluetooth driver (v8.00.06(T)* )...
When I run setup from the [above-mentioned page|http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/p750/psay3a-02t001/download?os=25] it partially detects *'Bluetooth USB Controller-10 from TOSHIBA'* (USB\VID_0930&PID_0215&REV_001)
and then installation simply freezes displaying +'Installing the Bluetooth Driver. Please wait+.' and stays like that forever...
I also tried downloading a driver from [another location|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download-toshiba] for TOSHIBA notebooks - v8.00.02(T):
and followed installation instructions displayed under 'Details'
but there was the same outcome - the setup simply freezes...
Installing Hotfix (*KB978258*) recommended there didn't work either - the message '+The update is not applicable to your computer+' pops up.
And I understand why - this Hotfix is [already included|http://download.microsoft.com/download/E/B/A/EBA55FE2-373A-4351-9346-6D762B79AA69/Updates%20in%20Win7%20and%20WS08R2%20SP1.xls] into Service Pack 1 for MS Windows 7.
I spent hours searching on the Internet for a solution. Although there were some similar cases none of the recommendations actually worked. I tried installing:
    - WiFi driver before installing Bluetooth (someone suggested that those two are the parts of the same card);
    - resuming installation in Safe Mode;
    - *Toshiba Value Added Package* hoping those tools somehow will kick in.
    Nothing worked...
It's interesting that when for the sake of experiment I tried to run installation for my generic Bluetooth adapter (using the driver [for non-TOSHIBA notebooks|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download]) then everything run smoothly!
*Using Bluetooth connection on this laptop is very crucial for me.*
I hope I shall not have to return this wonderful notebook as I know TOSHIBA is one of the best manufactures and am sure there is a solution to this problem.
    Thank you very much.
    Evgeny.

clarified about using another generic Bluetooth adapter with non-TOSHIBA driver

For FN functionality you must install Toshba Value added package. Toshiba flash cards utility is part of this package.
I dont know if P750 has WLAN switch but before you start BT installation be sure WLAN LED is ON.

  • I can't watch online videos without them constantly stopping and buffering

I cannot watch online videos or movies from a website or with a player. The videos and/or movies continually stop and start again and are constantly buffering. I have tried emptying the cache. I can maneuver all over the web without delays so I don't think it's my internet. Our internet is wireless and we have a satellite system.

    Hi and welcome...
Your Mac came with Flash, QuickTime, and Java pre-installed.
It depends on which format the videos are that you are trying to view. Often Flip4Mac is required.
You can access Flip4Mac settings in System Preferences (in your Applications folder) once the software is installed.
If Flip4Mac doesn't help, post a link to the site where you can't stream video.

  • Online video and audio choppy, dysfunctional

Many of the online videos that I try to play are impossible to watch. The sound is jumpy, video is more a series of long photos than running as video, etc. I have an iMac FP 700 mhz running 10.4.11, Safari 4.0.2, have 1.8 GB free on a 40 GB drive and 5 mbps cable internet. I've seen others post similar problems but no one seems to have come up with a solution yet.

the issues are with being able to play back flash content using h.264 as it's encoding. PPC macs just don't handle flash or h.264 very well as it's very CPU intensive. watching hulu on my newer macbooks runs the fans pretty hard.
I'd try to have a bit more free space on that drive & you can try using caminio as the browser but you aren't going to be able to really get around this without getting an Intel Mac.

  • Satellite P750-10R - BSOD while gaming - wrong graphic card?

I've been having trouble with this laptop since I got it. I've hardly been able to play any games on it even though it surpasses even the recommended specifications. Sometimes it will freeze, other times it will BlueScreen.
I've taken in to the shop three times, the last just two weeks ago, and it hasn't changed. Today I was comparing the specs and I noticed this on the Toshiba products specs:
Graphics adapter type : NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M with CUDA Technology and NVIDIA Optimus Technology
memory amount : 2,048 MB dedicated VRAM. Available graphics memory can be expanded using system memory, through TurboCache technology: up to 3,793 MB with 4 GB system memory installed as shown in the NVIDIA control panel, and up to 4,095 MB with 5 GB system memory (with pre-installed 64-bit operating system).
memory type : DDR3 Video RAM (resp. Video RAM and system memory combined)
    connected bus : PCI Express
[This is a screencap I took from the laptop.|http://i.imgur.com/NezvzgI.png]
I really am hoping I'm misunderstanding something here. Do these match up?
EDIT: The BSoD I get most often is this one: Blue screen Error - BCCode: 1000007e

    Hi,
Can I add a question to this thread please? I have a Satellite P750-13M and have had it for over a year and a half. Mainly I use it for work and some low intensity games, but recently I started using it for more graphic intensive games. Often the computer overheats and crashes when doing so. While investigating the problem I came across the same NVIDIA screen shot that wertxi posted. According to the NVIDIA control panel I only have 64MB of dedicate VRAM, but the P750-13M specs page ...
    http://www.toshiba.ie/discontinued-products/satellite-p750-13m/
... says that I should have 1GB of dedicated VRAM. Is this a discrepancy or am I not comparing like with like?
I haven't been having any blue screening, just over heating and slow graphics rendering, although the machine (supposedly!) exceeds the recommended requirements for the game.
    Thanks,
    Simon
EDIT - Just to clarify, in case I rambled too much, I do have both display adapters listed in device manager and both are up to date. My query is about the discrepancy in the dedicated VRAM indicated in the product specs and in the NVIDIA control panel.
    Thanks again

Is the latest flashplayer plugin compatible with 10.6.8? If this is so, I need to find an older flash player plugin to reinstall. I do not want to upgrade from 10.6.8 at this time because I have 18 yrs. worth of financial records on Quicken that I have read will not work with Lion and I've read bad things about running music programs on Maverick.

    1)  Quicken 2007 for Intel (Snow Leopard, Lion, Mt. Lion and Mavericks) is a full featured app that can be downloaded from Intuit for $15 and will work with your data file if you are using Quicken 2005, 2006 or 2007 (if you version is earlier, let me know for more instructions on easy conversion):
    http://quicken.intuit.com/personal-finance-software/quicken-2007-osx-lion.jsp
    2) Partition your hard drive, or add an external hard drive and install Mavericks there and "dual-boot" to operate your music programs in Snow Leopard and experiment with them in Mavericks.
DO NOT install Mavericks over Snow Leopard!
