Re-sizing the window question...

Hello,
I have just purchased GB3 as part of the iLife '06 package - Wonderful stuff!
My only issue is simply this...
I cannot for the life in me, work out how to re-size the window of GB. It is just a little too large for my screen here. The three small diagonal lines at the bottom right hand corner of the window don't work as they do in all other Applications.
I am doing something wrong or am I being an advanced muppet? ( again! )

Hello Ian,
This below is from Apple so it is suppose to resize as the other versions.
GB 3.0 help
If it is not working as it is meant to maybe this update will help " correct other minor issues"

it appears you can also resize the regions are these perhaps in need of being resized first before the entire browser can be resized ?
Resize Regions
"You can resize regions by either shortening or lengthening them.
When you shorten a region, only the visible part of the loop plays.
When you lengthen a region, you add silence (blank space) to its beginning or end.
To resize a region:
1. Move the pointer over the lower half of either edge of the region. The pointer changes to a resize pointer, with an arrow pointing away from the region.
2. Drag the edge of the region to shorten it or lengthen it.
3. Resizing a region by lengthening adds silence to the region. This can be useful if you want to make copies of the region, each lasting for a certain number of beats."

Trying to re-size the windows in Z SAP Script!!

Hello,
Am looking to do some modifications to the custom SAP Script Layout-set, mainly re-sizing the windows, including the MAIN window.
So, SE71>Change mode>Graphical Form Paiter checked, then, opened the Windows layout in graphical manner.........but, am unable to edit/move/re-size/modify the sizes of the windows with the help of mouse (pointer) movements!!
And also am unable to edit the left side dimensions numericals of these windows, bcoz, those (dimensions numericals) fields are GREYED OUT!!
I also tried by selecting the radio button of PAGE WINDOWS ........here also the dimensions numericals fields are GREYED OUT!!
So, pls. let me know the options for editing/re-sizing the windows of SAP Script. I prefer to re-size them by changing the dimension numerical digits, instead of graphically changing with mouse pointer.

IChat uses better Video Compression than Skype does.
On a top flight Mac you can send a 640 X 480 pixel frame up to 30 frames a sec.
Skype can't match this.
iChat in Video is Peer to Peer. (you can actually Log out of the Buddy list)
Skype seems to borrow something from everyone's bandwidth to make connections.
What do you mean by Business account Tracking ?
iChat Adds (or can add) the First Name, Last Name of your Buddies and create an Address Book Entry
Whether you mark those cards connected with a company is up to you.
(I have heard of issues with earlier version of iChat and the Address Book that "saw" the Company Name as the part of the Name and linking several Screen Names to the one name
Audio on a Mac using Skype tend to be the same as the streaming needs are less.
However you have to rely on any PCs audio abilities from PCs which may not be to the same standard.
Mac to PCs in iChat and AIM can be difficult though. (It should work but it rarely as simple as Plug and go)
Skype may suit your needs better on ocassions.

FontAwesome appears as question marks in FrameMaker 12. I installed the font in the Windows/Fonts folder. Do I need to do something else to get it to work in FM?

I need to update our fonts/templates to Font Awesome. I downloaded and installed the font in the Windows/Fonts folder.
The font appears as question marks (????) in place of the text in FrameMaker 12.
The font appears correctly in other applications, such as Microsoft Word and Outlook.
I tried this with both FontAwesome.otf and fontawesome-webfont.ttf.
Do I need to do something else to get this font to work in FM?

Well, if it's any consolation, it does the ????? thing (complete with bad font metrics for the question marks) in FM9, too.
I'm tempted to blame the font, but it could also be that FM is confused by things that shouldn't be where they are. You'll notice that some of the glyphs aren't given descriptive names in Character Palette.
For example, code points U+0000 through U+001F. Those are supposed to be the C0 Controls in Unicode, and not displayable glyphs.

Disregard my previous question about downloading the Windows version onto a disk. My friend was able to download it herself with dial-up.

So it sounds like you are trying to burn a DVD with photos on it so the photos can be either transferred to or displayed on a Windows PC, is that correct?
For the purposes of this I am going to assume you are using iPhoto '11.
Gather the photos you want to burn to DVD in one album in iPhoto. This is not absolutely necessary but it sure makes things easier for me.
Select that album, then go to the File menu and select Export...
In the dialog that shows up, select the File Export tab. Select the setting you want to use for export. Click the Export button.
Another dialog will show up. Set the location to Desktop and click the New Folder button. Name the folder something nice and descriptive and click the Create button.
Click the OK button. Quit iPhoto as the rest of this work will be done in the Finder.
You will now have a folder on your desktop with that nice descriptive name. Find it and select it. Go to the File menu and from it select Burn "Descriptive folder name" to Disc...
Insert a blank DVD when prompted.
Let the finder complete the work and eject the disc afterwards.
That's it. Best of luck.

Assuming that you tried to install Win 7 in bootcamp.
Power on the machine and press and hold the "option" key when you hear the bong sound.
Select the Macintosh HD icon and press "return" or just click on the icon.
Once booted into OS X go to System Preferences and select the Startup Disk icon and configure startup to use the Macintosh HD.

I am a new Indesign user and a Creative Cloud member. I was using the Window/Pages drop down window to view my pages alphabetically or by page number and also to determine whether or not my JPEG files were sufficiently HI-Res for the printer. I don't know how I did it but somehow the window has changed so that now it does not have the alphabetical/numerical/Hi-Res information. It just shows the pages in a two page spread in numerical order. How can I restore the window so that I will be able to view the information as I did previously.

The pages panel is not the place where you see this information. You can customize the Links panel to show all sorts of things, including the page number, effective and actual ppi, and whether the link is OK or needs updating.

I like to know if somebody has a laptop with windows 8.1 installed and has a recovery partition in the case of reinstalling windows 8.1. somebody has erased all harddisk with low level format for some reason.
now this man has no more 8.1 to reinstall it. I have my self the dvd of this version of windows 8.1 or suppose the trial version ,
if I install the windows from my dvd (or the trial version )and activate it with his product key which is on his laptop voor his 8.1 version.
is this action illegal or not ? if this action is illegal i like to know why?

If a proper license is held for the product, MS do say that you can use any legitimately-acquired media to re-install.
If the computer originally shipped with a manufacturer-supplied copy of Windows (OEM), then only the media from the OEM should be used. This might require him to purchase a set of recovery discs or USB from the OEM.
It may be possible to retrieve/download a copy of Windows 8.0 or 8.1 from the MS website, with only a product key, but, it is common for modern computers sold now, that there is no visible product key (instead, the key is stored in firmware)

Smart forms - Dynamic sizing of the windows.

Hi gurus, iam working on smartforms, i have a problem.
My requirement is: Printing a table data on the smart form. Is the window which prints this table data is resized with the amount of table data, if so, what is the procedure i should follow for to print this data in the window.
Please give me the steps to go with the above issue. iam new to smartforms. what is the size of the window i should give in the Form painter and what all the attributes i should declare.
Plz give a detailed explanation..

If you are only going to use one or two window only programs then I wouldn't waste the space. Try WinonX it allows you to install exe. Files on Mac without installing windows.

Lately(2013) when i click a link in Firefox, the window that opens is maximaized instead of half or quarter sized like it has always been. why? fixes?
