log on in the local language in which u want to maintain translations..
Then from the menu bar chose the proper object which u wanna translate..
suppose for smartform..u want to make translations...
go to>se63->translations->longtexts->smartforms..
give the name of the smartform.
Give source language as EN then target language as local language..
Then u will get two windows..in the below window u can make translations....

Hi,
For the Standard text created in SO10,
please go to transaction SE78 -> FORM GRAPHICS->STORED AS TEXT->STANDARD TEXTS->
Double click on ADRS or ST or what ever your type of text->
Enter your standard text name
Click on transport button->SHIFT+f6-> It will ask you for a transport request.

Standard text translation

Hi,
i have created Form in that i used Standard text
/: INCLUDE ZTEST1 OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE EN.
but this form will be Used in 4 languages as Germoney italy..
Now i need to translate the standard text accordingly please let me know how about doing this.

Maintain the langauge Tansalation for your Text using SE63 and then maintain it in your smart form accordingly...

Data element Translations using se63

Hi Experts,
I am working on dataelement translations from EN to RU, but i need to change Feild label Medium to max 20 and activate that then I need to translate that to Lang RU. I am doing this by using se11... but we got more than 1000 data elements to change feild length and translate. Its very big time taking. how to use se63 for this case. please help me out to solve this issue asap.

Its a Manual process and YES I Agree its time taking.
SE63 language translation envirnoment doesn't provide any such functionality.

Smartform Translation using SE63 returns Error 'Incorrect Code Page'

Hi,
I have created a smartform in english & want to translate to Language IT, FR, DE.
I am able to translate it using SE63 for DE but unable to translate to IT, FR.
The error in status is 'Incorrect Code Page'.
Language Attribute is set to : Translate to all Languages.
In SE63 the Source Language: EN, Target Language: IT
The Languages installed in the system is EN & DE only.
My questions on this issue:
1. Is it required the language fonts for IT & FR be uploaded & then the Translation in SE63 work fine ???.
2. Is some other parameter needs to be set.

If you need to translate the Smartform to any target language the Target Language must be intalled in the SAP System. The error occurs because IT, FR is not installed in the SAP System.
Installing the Language Code pages will solve the problem.

Invalid codepage error for translation using SE63!!

Hi Friends,
I have a problem with Smartform translation. I have a smartform in English , I have to have some of the hardcoded texts to be in Russian. I have the Russian translations for the same. In the attributes of the form I have made sure it allows tranlsation to all languages. But when i got o SE63, and give the smartform name and give source language as English and Target language as Russian, and click on edit, I get a message "Invalid codepage for language Russian".
Please help me out if any of you have any idea. Would be happy to award points.

Note russian fonts are not loaded in your system, inform the basis, they will help you to sort it out.

Script and Translation using se63

Hi,
I have translated my form from English to Arabic.
But when I give a test run or test print, it is showing
XXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXX
Previously, it was showing all the text in English.
So, I guess something has happened.
But, How can I see the Arabic Text.

go to SE63>Translation->ABAP objects---->other long texts.
you wil get a object type selection.
Select FS----forms
Enter object name and give the
source language as EN
Target language as AR

SE63: Smartform Text translations Issue.

I am working on ECC 5.0 for the first time and having a weird issue with Smartform text translations using SE63. After saving the text translations using SE63, When I change & activate the smartform tranlations are gone.
Can someone please throw some light on this issue?

Hi Rajesh,
Maintain the translations.Then go to smartforms transaction in that particular language's login. Type the name of smartform and from top menu,click
Smartforms-->Generate. If ur translations are correctly mentained,then it will get generated successfully.Then when u again activate ur smartform u will not lose ur translations.
But if u change any particular window and activate ur smartform then also u will lose translations for that particular window.In that case u hav to maintain once again,the translations.

Regarding Translation of Text using SE63 for smart Fomrms

I have to do the transalation for the SmartForms in the language FR, EN, DE, ES .Source langauge of the Form is EN
I know that translation can be done using SE63 but I have doubt that in order to translate any text using SE63,I should have text in other lanaguage.
For exmaple: Text 'Purchase Order' as in EN so to translate this text in FR langauge, I should know this text in FR lanaguage also then only we can do translation using SE63.
Please suggest I am RIGHT or NOT.

To use standard texts, perform the following six steps:
Select the maintenance order and access the operation overview screen using Goto -->Operation overview.
You can enter standard text keys in this screen or in a detail screen for the relevant operation.
Enter a standard text key in the appropriate field and press ENTER .
If the text is longer that the short text line available, the field Text is selected for that operation.
Check the long text and edit it if necessary. To do this, select the operation and choose Operation--> Long text.
The system branches to the text editor screen. If you also entered a short text for the operation and specified that this should not be overwritten by the standard text, you will see the short text displayed in the first line of the editor. The following lines contain the standard text.
Check the standard text and change it if necessary.
Save the final version of the text and return to the previous screen with Goto--> Back.
Save the maintenance order.
Standard texts are created for your system by your system administrator using the Customizing function.

Hello,
I have created a standard text and using the text in a smartform. There are many words with apostrope in them. For eg consumer's. But when it is printed in the smartform , the text is printed as consumer#s. Other standard texts which contains words with apostrope are printing correctly in the smartform. I have compared properties of both the standard texts and they are same. No styles have been used in either case. But , only in one case the "#" symbol is being printed instead of the apostrophe.
Can you please suggest what might be the issue?

Here's a QDAC (Quick & Dirty ABAP code) to search standard text name used in sapscripts.

This code searchs sapscripts for a string entered in the selection screen.
if you know the standard text name, enter it in the sel screen and execute.

Printing standard text with TAB

Hi Folks,
I am very new to SAP Scripts and need some help here. I am printing some text using Standard Text object (using INCLUDE statement in sapscript). But now I want to print the text after a TAB. I tried with below syntax but no luck.

Yes, m using SO10 for creating this text.
But as u suggested, I cannot use tab in ZTEXT, because this will affect the alignment for all the other scripts where I am using this ZTEXT.
For every other script, I do not need this extra tab before the ZTEXT. Only for this one script I want to intorduce a Tab before printing this ZTEXT.
Any other approach?
