Hi, I'm playing live stream supporting FMLE from FMS. There is no problem with playing if we are starting at first the player and then we are starting the stream with FMLE. The video skipping problem is occurs only if we are starting first the stream with FMLE and than our player.
The versions: FMLE 3.0.1.5963, FMIS 4.0.0, Flash Player 10.1.53.64, and codec h.264

Ideally order of publish and play should not matter - i mean whichever way it should work fine. When you say video skipping problem what do you exactly mean - you mean you get only audio, also are you playing live or DVR stream?

Same issue here- I can airplay my amazon prime library just fine from my iphone 5 but on my macbook- (mavericks, 15 inch 2013 retina with quad core i7, nvidia 650 M and SSD) it just sputters and lags.
I have noticed web video is considerably worse than local content, giving me pauses of up to 2 or 3 seconds in which video stops but audio continues in the amazon player. Youku video, however, seems relatively stable. Our subscription speed is 25 mbps, so that should be plenty to stream SD video from Amazon and doesn't account for why it would be nice and stable from the iphone, but not the mbp.
Playing light, locally hosted steam sidescrollers like Limbo is better but gives periodic drops in framerate on the Tv. when mirroring the framerate remains steady on the MBP screen.
Games airplayed from my iphone seem relatively stable, though with a noticably lower framerate on the TV than on the phone.
It seems these issues have abated considerably since yesterday's Apple TV update, but are still curious nonetheless and I'm not sure that the update yesterday was specifically meant to address those issues or if I'm just getting a time with less network interference now.
Comcast recently installed a new router/modem/phone combo, replacing our old separate modem and router setup. I'm going to test if putting the network on a different channel helps.

How can I start anew with Photos and clear the (minimal) stuff it has uploaded

I've about had it up to here with this new Photos scheme. I reorganised my Aperture libraries on both my iMac and MBA in preparation for this, delayed turning Photos on for a couple of days until I thought everything was ready based upon the limited advice that was out there, and then got stuck in an endless loop of "uploading" and "preparing" every time I opened Photos. There are 19,975 images in my Aperture library on the iMac. I was stuck at Uploading at anywhere between that number and 19,000 with no progress after hours of waiting. I tried all the tricks mentioned here including re booting, restarting the app, repairing/rebuilding the database, killing the "cloudd" process, etc.today Today when I restarted Photos, it now said I had 23,775 images to upload- 4000
more than I have-and of course it got stuck there, like it has for the last week.
I copied the previous Aperture library (pre Photos migration)back to my iMac and opened it in Aperture. Thankfully, all the photos I had taken on my iPhone this week during this Photos clusterphuck transition were in the Aperture Stream so I didn't lose any of those. I'm willing to give this whole thing one more shot. So i need some advice. How can I start anew with Photos and clear the (minimal) stuff it has uploaded (about 6000 of 19,000 images in the last 7 days) ? If I simply delete the Photos.photolibrary file will that do the trick and lt me start a new fresh library using?

It is hard to say from your post, why the migration did not succeed in your case.
by "stuck on upload" do you mean, you opened the Aperture library in Photos, and Photos converted it to a Photo Library, and then the upload to iCloud Photo Library did hang? Or did already the upgrade to the Photo Library fail?
If you want the Aperture library to upload to iCloud Photo Library, it needs to be on a disk formatted MacOS Extended (Journaled) and the original image files must not be referenced. Referenced originals will not upload.
Also, the upload may hang, if you do not have enough free iCloud storage, orr if one of the videos or photos in your library is in an unsupported format or corrupted.
To start over, try to repair and rebuild the Aperture library before opening it in Photos. Try all Aperture Library First Aid options - starting with repairing the permissions. (Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library: Aperture 3 User Manual)

You will have to delete the photos that are already in icloud too; otherwise you are risking duplicates.
Can you launch Photos at all? If yes, delete all photos in Photos and empty the Recently Deleted album. Wait for the deletion to sync to iCloud. Then delete the Photos.photolibrary.

The reading of double is also straight forward : just use a dble float wired to the type cast node, after inverting the string (indian conversion).

short are U16 integer
double are double precision float
bool seem to be 2 bytes (= U16)
char are string (variable length)
rgb are U16 integer, with high order byte = 0
rect should be 4 x U16 (top, left, bottom, right)

Starting over with ical

I trashed much of my ical folders in an attempt to start anew with ical because it was giving me so much trouble. Now it won't sync with my palm at all. What can I do?

this was so frustrating- my orginial post was from about a month ago and what i've done since then has worked for me....
I wound up using google calendar as my "online hub" instead of icloud. I imported my ical calendar and deleted all my duplicates (did not have to retype everything as I thought- just delete). I wiped out my calendars on ipad and Iphone and transfered google calendar in.
So far everything has been working great, they all sync pretty much instantly and I haven't had any problems. I really wanted to use icloud since it was the new thing and all and you would think would work the best with all these apple products, but it was so buggy and just didn't work for me. I am still using icloud for photo stream.

* Also.... wanted to mention that I'm still using iCal as my calendar- just syncing with google calendar to make everything work right. Didn't know if that was clear.

Record rtsp streams with azure media services

I see that Azure media service now has rtsp streaming support, but, as I understand, it can stream videos from azure, but what about recording of incoming rtsp streams? Is it possible to record rtsp streams with Azure media Service?

Quick correction for you... We support RTMP. Not RTSP.
You can send a live RTMP stream to us and we will record it. You just need to enable a live Channel and start a Program on it. It will archive the live stream to storage so that you can play it back as VOD.

Streaming with H.264 (jiggle)

After streaming with Flash Media Encoder 3.1 and ManyCam/Splitcam with VP6 and 320x240,30fps (works good!!),
I tried to stream HQ with H.264,30FPS,640x360,700kbps...
Buter after pressing start,the both Windows (Input and Output) will jiggle very strong.(In the Justin.tv stream,too,of course)
Looking in the Encoding Log,it shows me an Output with 11-12 fps.
But where is the Problem? (PC,Internet...?)
My System:

enough Harddisk

Ithink the problem is that the H.264 codec needs more CPU resources compared to ON2 VP6.
I tried 640x480, 25fps, 200Kbps with the 2 codec (VP6, and h264). I have the H.264 codec with a delay of 3 seconds and a delay vp6 less than 1 second.
I think these should you need more CPU resources with H264
the cpu works a lot with h.264 and this makes for more delay

No Special Event Stream with QT7.1.3? Just a black pixel. :-(

the official link to the stream of the latest Apple Special Event (http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/sep_2006/event/index.html) doesn't work for me.
When I click the "Watch the Special Event" button, QT 7.1.3 starts but just with a 1 second lasting 1x1 black pixel.
Anybody else with this problem?
I reenabled Flash in the settings and HTTP with port 80 as protocol but that didn't help. Before the upgrade to 7.1.3 I was able to watch every Apple Event stream with no problem at all!

Thank you both for your replies, and attempt to help much appreciated.
First pegasus: i have tried the link and entering my serial into the event downloader, and it comes back with a barcode error.
When i get home i will go trough the dvd's one more time just to check if i missed something.
For pegasus and hch, i have tried the pre installed XSplit gamecaster (not with MSI logo btw) and upon creating a new account it directly says i needed to update xsplit version of gamecaster. now the first 3 times i didnt update becasue i allready found this thread before doing so. but finaly i decided to upgrade the version. this also does not give me the 6 month trial. just the free account.
Factory resetting the laptop as is now will require another day of setting my machine up just the way i like it and that is now not an option, im trying to get this solved without having to revert to a just reset the entire laptop solution.
actualy that link pegasus showed made me most hopefull.
Also logged this issue with MSI support about 3 weeks ago but havent received a reply whatsoever.
Ill keep on trying. ill let you guyz know if i find something in the booklet and dvd pouch.
p.s. i am from the netherlands, so if anyone else has some info if the included and marketed to be included XSplit Gamecaster is not included in dutch versions of this amazing laptop (for reasons that would defenatly elude me)

there is an app called daisydisk on mac app store which will help you see exactly where the memory is focused and consumed try using that app and see which folders are using more memory

How does exactly AMS sync a video stream with another stream of audio only ?

I have the following situation: 2 instances of FMLE on one machine and another machine with AMS Starter.
The instances of the FMLE are:
1. Video H.264 + audio MP3
2. Audio only MP3 - track 1
The application on AMS is a livepkgr/_definst_ and i am using HDS with a live event
I have an OSMF based player to consume the streams and to do audio switch using late binding audio.
When I consume the Video with the Default audio everything works just fine. The problem is that when I try to consume the Video with the other audio track, the audio tack has a 1 second delay compared to the video.
I have tried to fix this by changing the configurations on the FMLE, but it doesnt seem to work. So I really want to know how does exactly AMS syncronize differents streams, in this case a video stream with a different audio stream.

First, what is the file format, and its specs. for the remote recorder?
Though the rates of modern cameras and digital recorders SHOULD match 100%, in the real-world, they seldom do. This make perfect syncing a labor intensive process.
One should do tests between the cameras and the recorders, to find out the % or error. Then, adjust their Audio to match first. As an example, one user in the PrPro Forum tested his Panasonic cameras, and his Zoom recorders, and found that the Zooms were off by 0.04% constantly. To correct this, he used the Time Remapping (with Maintain Pitch checked), and would apply that adjustment to all of the Zooms' files - perfect sync.
As for the Waveform not displaying for your remote recorder, did you allow those files to completely Conform (creation of the CFA and PEK files, the latter is the Waveform Display)? See this article: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/726693?tstart=30
Also, you should be able to increase the vertical zoom of your Audio Tracks, and hence any Clips on them, by hovering the Cursor over the junction between Tracks, in the Track Header, and when it turns into a = sign, with up/down arrows, click+drag. Then, you should be able to find commonality in the beginning, to sync up to. Tip: for this critical work, toggle the Snap feature OFF, with the S key.

Streams with DataGuard design advice

I have two 10gR2 RAC installs with DataGuard physical copy mode. We will call the main system A and the standby system B. I have a third 10gR2 RAC install with two-way Streams Replication to system A. We will call this RAC system C.
When I have a failure scenario with system A, planned or unplanned, I need for system C's Streams Replication to start replicating with system B. When the system A is available again I need for system C to start replicating with system A again.
I am sure this is possible, and I am not the only one that wants to do something like this, but how? What are the pitfals?
Any advice on personal experience with this would be greatly appreciated!

I would like to share your confidence, but i am afraid there are so many pitfalls than success will depends on how much pain you and you hierarchy can cope with.
Some thoughts:
Unless your dataguard is Synchronous, at the very moment where A fails, there will be missing TXN in C,
which may have been applied in B as Streams is quite fast. This alone tells us that a forced switch cannot
be guarantee consistent : You will have errors and some nasty one such as sequence numbers consumed
on A (or B) just before the crash, already replicated to B (or A)but never shipped to C. Upon awake C will
re-emit values already known on B (dup key on index?)
I hope you don't sell airplane ticket for in such a case you can sell some seats twice.
Does C have to appear as another A or is it allowed to have a different DB_NAME? (How will you set C in B?
is C another A which retakes A name or is C a distinct source).if C must have the same DB_NAME, the global
name must be the same. Your TNS construction will be have to cope with 2 identical TNS entry in your network
referring to 2 different hosts and DB. Possible with cascade lines at (ADDRESSES= ... , but to be tested.
If C is another A then C must have the same DB_name as LCR do have their origin DB name into them.
If C has a distinct name from A it must have its on apply process, not a problem it will be idle while A is alive,
but also a capture that capture nothing while A is alive, for it is Capture site who is supposed to send the ticks
to advance counters on B. Since C will be down in normal time, you will have to emulate this feature periodically
reseting the first_scn manually for this standby capture - you can jump archives providing you jump to another
archive with built in data dictionary - or accept to create a capture on B only when C wakes up. The best would
be to consider C as a copy of B (multi-master DML+DDL?) and re-instantiate tables without transferring any data
the apply and capture on C and B to whatever SCN is found to be max on both sites when C wakes up.
All this is possible, with lot of fun and hard work.
As of the return of the Jedi, I mean A after its recovered from its crash you did not tell us if the re-sync C-->A
is hot or cold. Cold is trivial but If it is hot, it can be done configuring a downstream capture from C to A with
the init SCN set to around the crash and re-load all archives produced on C. But then C and A must have a different
DB_name or maybe setting a different TAG will be enough, to be tested. Also there will be the critical switch
the multi-master replication C<-->B to A<-->B. This alone is a master piece of re-sync tables.
In all cases, I wish you a happy and great project and eager to hear about it.
Last, there was a PDF describing how to deal with dataguard switch with a DB using streams, but it is of little help,
for it assumes that the switch is gentle : no SCN missing. did not found it but maybe somebody can point a link to it.
