RE:submission phases functionality

if any one knows about submission phases functionlaity in hyperion finanacial management. Now I am trying to perfom submission phase’s functionality in HFM for this I am checking submission phases by providing my own submission groups to dimensional members in metadata file after that when i tried to give that submission groups in submission phases it is showing error like
“The following groups have been assigned to a submission phase but are not assigned to any dimensional member(s):”
if any one know about this pls help me

Hi,
While you were defining Meta data for your HFM application , have you provided the relevant submission groups for the memebers of dimensions.
What i understand is , submission pahses and groups has no problem ,but memebers have not been assigned the same .Just re-check once your meta data file and its attributes.

So was I, in folder Tasks -> Data Tasks -> Process Control
Right under your POV there are a few icons, the very first one is for options, after you click you should see two tabs: Row and Col
In the Col Tab is where you select the Phases to show on the process control grid.

Manage Submission Phases

HFM 11.1- In Manage Submission Phases. I understand that +"the default for Submission Phase 1 is the keyword ALL to indicate all groups. All groups belong to Submission Phase 1 until you change their assignment."+ Does this mean that I need to enter keyword ALL in Phase 1 or is this assumed and I can leave it blank if I want all submission groups in phase 1?

Errors in app submission phase.

When I attempt to submit an app to the app-store via application loader I get hit with a wall of errors.
(The app is intended only to test submission process before I move onto the next phase which, is rapid prototyping all it'sjust a simple abstract drawing on frame 1 with no action script.)
(I used FL CS6 with the latest updates)
(I do all of my developing in windows the mac is strictly for submitting apps)
(I put in .png icons for every size available within FLCS6 which is 29x29,57x57,114x114,512x512,48x48,72x72,50x50,58x58,100x100,144x144,1024x1024.)

Dear Mohan,
There are search helps configured for the dataelements in ACTUPG.ELG. These search helps were created by mistake by the system.
The search helps can be deleted manually in the shadow instance.
In this case you should remove these fields in se11 (in your shadow instance) as the Search help shouldn't exist.
You should do this step for all data elements shown in the log ACTUPG.ELG:
For example: SE11 -> /BI0/OICH_AT -> Change -> Tab "Further characteristics"
1. Goto SE11:
2. Select Data type and fill "/BI0/OICH_AT" and display
3. Select the tab "Further Characteristics" and
4. Remove the values for fields "Name" and "Parameters"
then click on icon "Activate"
Please do the same for the other object.
But before performing above steps you need to unlock the shadow instance by the following command:
SAPup unlockshd <SID>
(if using SAPup)
SAPehpi unlockshd <SID>
(if using SAPehpi)
Also do not forget to lock the shadow system again after performing the steps and continuing the upgrade by the following command:
SAPup lockshd <SID>
(if using SAPup)
SAPehpi lockshd <SID>
(if using SAPehpi)
You can logon to your shadow system with any different user than DDIC.

How can I display the Process Level by Phase in a Grid or Data Form?

We are using phased submissions. I can see that changing the display options on a grid will show the current Process Level for the processing unit defined by the POV. But how can we break this down by phase?

Try what is suggested in Page 243 of the User's Guide:
You can display multiple submission phases, view review level status, and perform process management actions for multiple phases in Process Control.
If you select Single period view, you can select one or more submission phases to include in the columns. For each column, you can display one or more of these options: Calculation Status, Journals, Review Level, Pass/Fail, and Validation. If selected, Review Level, Pass/Fail, and Validation are included for each phase. Since Calculation Status and Journals apply to the entire processing unit, they are displayed only once regardless of how many phases are selected. If you select All period view, you can select Calculation Status or Review Level information for the columns. If you select Review Level information, you should select one submission phase
for display. When you select All periods, or Tree for the display, the filter option is unavailable.

Random duplicate submission error

I have switched on the prevent duplicate submission page function on several of my pages in my app and find that from time to time i am randomly getting the duplicate page submission error.
At the time of the error i am navigating from the page to another page by clicking a button which submits the page firing a page branch; not sure why this would be captured as a duplicate page submission??
I am also getting the same random duplicate submission error in the apex builder when i try to change parameters for several different items on the same page
any ideas?

I have managed to narrow it down to hitting the problem when accessing the application through webcache.
when i access directly through the apache listener then i am not encountering the problem. Are there any settings that need to be set in webcache to avoid this problem??
or is it not supported to work with webcache?

Hi,
I want to use the phases submission in process control and I have a problem regarding the submission group and the order in phased submission ...
In application settings is submission phase activated for accounts, custom1 and custom 4.
The follwoing issue ...
Phase 1:
Accounts: Gross Margin (from P&L) --> Group 10
Custom1: [None] --> Group 15
Custom4: Input1 --> Group 50
Phase 2:
Accounts: Rest of P&L --> Group 20
Custom1: [None] --> Group 15
Custom4: Input1 --> Group 50
Accounts: Balance Sheet --> Group 30
Custom1: Movements --> Group 30
Custom4: Input1 --> Group 50

So I understand your problem, I'm just really confused as to how that happened. Can you share the Process History of the two phases(Feel free to remove names, the times are the important parts).
To go from Published in Phase 1 to RL3 means that you were somehow able to reject Phase 1 twice. Either that, or Submitted is not considered higher than RL 3.
Try seeing if you can reject phase 1 down another level and then reject Phase 2. I don't know if HFM considers Submitted to be the 2nd highest RL or not, but if it doesn't, then this might work.
Again, the process history for the entity would help greatly.

Building a dynamic Member list in HFM

Good day,
I want to build a dynamic memberlist in HFM by using the function HS.GetSubmissionPhase("S#scenario.P#period.A#account.C1#custom1.C2 #custom2.C3#custom3.C4#custom4.I#icp”). For some reason it does not return the correct submission phase but always 1 (one). I need to retrieve the submission phase of a specific cell (account) because it can vary from period to period, and therefore it must be dynamic. I am using version 11.1.1.2 (not patched). Is there a way to do this?

I understand the member lists are metadata driven and might have a problem with the submission groups per phase (data):
But according to me the function should return me the valid phase submission for a specific account at a specific point in time. I need it on a report or web form, or need to find another way to filter.
1. Submission groups are set on the accounts
2. Submission groups are set per submission phase per period
3. Want to retrieve all valid accounts for a specific submission phase at a specific point in time in a report
4. Is there another way that I can filter these accounts dynamically?

Validation Issue - urgent

Hi experts,
I am facing a peculiar issue with Validation Check, in Process Control.
I have done the following:
1. set the Validation Top account, in my AppSettings
2. Enable SupportsProcessManagement - in appropriate scenario
3. Manage Submission Phases is set to * - in Phase1 column - My Validation Account's submission Group is set to 1.
4. I have 4 independent Validation hierarchies, each one, having a submission group as 1, and are set in ValidationAccount, ValidationAccount2, ValidationAccount3, ValidationAccount4 respectively.
When I plot the Validation Account, in a data grid, I can see values, coming in the grid.
However, when I start Process Management, the Pass / Fail, is showing as Pass, even if there is value in the Validation Accounts
When I click on the Validation Pass / Fail icon, the Validation Report inside, shows blank - not even a Zero value - throughout the grid. As a result, the entity is able to promote to the next review level, even if Validation is not cleared.
Is there any setting, which I am missing out on, which is not showing Validation errors, whereas I can see Validation values in the Data Grid?

Batch Job creation by adding entries to SAP tables

Hi Experts,
I understand there are at least 4 SAP tables involved with Batch Jobs.
I need to create many variants and manually creating them using sm36 is tedious.
If I add entries in the TBTC* tables, can the batch jobs be created without causing inconsistency ?
The batch jobs are all similar, based on a zprogram that selects from sap tables data and updating to a ztable. There are many variants I need to create and assign to the batch jobs. So, if I can update the entries in the tables to achieve the same, it would be much quicker and reduce human error and make checking the job setup faster and easier.

Hi,
There are many function modules which helps you to create the variants.
You need to create a simple report to automate your variant creation and batch submission.
use function module RS_CREATE_VARIANT to create variant use the structure RSPARAMS to specify the value of your selection screens
Go to the function group BTCH . Use JOB open close to submit the batch jobs with variants anor any ther fm in the BTCH function goup.
Hope this helps rather than directly writing to tables.

LoadVariables and PHP

I am having a problem passing a list of variables into a PHP
file using loadVariables. Flash makes contact with the PHP file,
and the confirmation code is executed. The PHP file is sending back
the email, but the variables are not being passed through. It has
worked in the past, on this server, so I don't think that is the
problem. I have searched this forum for an answer, but didn't see
anything that relates, but I apologize if this is redundant.
Also, is loadVariables outdated by loadVars?

tried to define the vars a number of ways, in the button handler,
on the main timeline, etc. I even tried to hard code the variables
with string data, with no luck. I am starting to wonder if there is
an issue with the PHP file or its permissions.
