Re-submitting RSS after failed first attempt.

I'm a newbie to RSS feeds. I  first submitted it when the RSS feed was filled with errors. However, iTunes still gave that confirmation screen saying it would look it over and email me with whether it is added or not.  It sent an email 5 hours later saying that this RSS feed has errors and could not be on iTunes.
I have the RSS feed all fixed up now (I really do) and resubmitted it yesterday.  It did not send any emails that time, and it was never added, and I can't search for it.  The podcast would be called Meddling Media.  Is there anything I'm doing wrong or should be doing differently?
Thank you!

You may have fallen over a bug in the automated part of the submissions process which results in your being told the feed has already been submitted even though it's been rejected or removed - the workaround is to change the title slightly. As you don't appear to have received any error message it's difficult to comment - also, you say the feed is now OK and very likely it is, but it's not possible to confirm this without being able to look at it. If you feel like posting it I will have a look at it, but it will be tomorrow as it's now past my bedtime...

A similar problem to the other posters, my Sony Xperia Z won't start after a failed update attempt. Following the support suggestions on the Sony website (http://www.sonymobile.com/sg/support/faq/w8-walkman-phone/update-software/software-update-failed-ps101/) failed. Solutions posted on this forum thread (http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z-ZL-ZR/My-Sony-Xperia-Z-won-t-start-turn-on-after-failed-update-attempt/m-p/401787#M20133) have also failed. When I plug the phone into the wall charger, the LED comes on red, the SONY logo appears on my screen, followed by a message indicating that "The Software update failed. Make sure that your phone is connected to the computer and try again.", and then the phone turns itself off. The cycle repeats itself with no indication that my phone's actually being charged. Since it is unable to charge, plugging the phone into my computer does not trigger the update process to start, so I can't "try again", as the message so helpfully suggests. The computer also does not recognise my phone as being connected despite following the PC Companion's instructions to 1) unplug the device, 2) remove and replace the battery (which I can't do, because the battery is built in), and 3) turn it back on (which, again, I can't do, because the phone won't charge in the first place), before 4) plugging it back into the computer. Please help... Thank you.

  • Can I allow two attempts and after the first attempt have a new window open to a url?

I would like to allow the user two attempts to answer a question. However, after the first attempt, if they get it wrong, I would like a new window to open that takes them to a tutorial Web site we have, where they can find the answer. Then I would like them to be able to close that window and return to the question for the second attempt?
    Is this possible?
Right now, I have designed a very clunky version of this. I have one question slide with one attempt and if they answer wrong, they go to the next slide, which has a button to the tutorial page. Then the same question slide is repeated, again with one attempt. In this same scenario, if the person got the question right the first time, they moved on to a new question slide. This works, but is bad for scoring and eliminates the possibility of using question pools and putting questions in random order.
    Thanks,
    Carrie

100 feet would normally not be a problem......if the AirPorts have line-of-sight with each other......but if there are obstructions like walls, ceilings or furniture in the direct signal path between the AirPorts, little if any of the signal will even reach the extending AirPort.
Try locating the extending AirPort at about 50-60 feet away to see if can pick up a stronger signal to extend.
It would be much better if you connect the AirPorts using an Ethernet cable, as there is no signal loss in an Ethernet cable up to 300+ feet.

  • HT4623 Resetting iphone to factory after failed passcode attempts

I reset son's iphone, there was a code on the "restrictions" setting that i did not do and my son didn't know if he had or not.  After a few attempts to try various codes to no avail I just restored the phone back to factory setting via itunes. But the phone won't connect to itunes now, only says to contact customer service.  i assume that is some security measure since I had the failed pass codes attempls before the restore.
    Any help to fix?

  • What happens after failed passcode attempts

Ok so i setup a restrictions passcode different from password and I haven't the slightest what it is. Ok I have about 20 options but only 7 attempts left. My questions are:
    1. What happens whenI run out of failed attempts?
    2. If I CAN get into restrictions, is this even where I went to disable the FaceTime button during a call? This was the whole point of needing to get into restrictions.
If I loose all data, not the end of the world. I am a new iPhone convert so to lose the 15 contacts I've got won't kill me! (wipe out my bb and we're all in some bleep)

    any help?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Though XP is not certified, R12 should work on it (I already have R12 running on XP Professional).
Linux should be more stable. Refer to the following document for details about R12 installation on Linux.

  • Gnome login fails at first attempt

    Hi guys,
I'm having a strange problem here.
When I boot my notebook and try to login into Gnome, it constantly fails at the first attempt.
So I click on my username, enter the (correct) password and nothing happens. I cancle it with 'esc', click on the username again, enter the password and I'm in.
This also occurs when I lock my screen.
Any ideas why Gnome tries to troll me and how to fix it?
    Thanks.

  • What happens after: "Erase data after ten failed passcode attempts"  ?

What happens after data is erased from the iPhone after ten passcode attempts?
Is it the same thing as Settings->General->Erase all content and settings ?
Does the iPhone essentially becomes a permanent brick, or does the iPhone appear as a fresh device that just awaits reactivating?
    Thanks~!

All the user data on your phone is encrypted. When 10 failed attempt occur, the phone just securely erases the encryption key (overwrites it multiple times), then reboots. Without the encryption key present, even though all the data is still there, it cannot be decrypted and read anymore. Its just a load of random bits, and useless. The phone will just go through it's 'factory default' setup and quick format the flash ready to be used again as if it was a completely blank brand-new phone. At no point during any of this process is the system partition (the area that stores ios4) touched, so there is no danger of the phone being "bricked".
And even if the system partition was erased, you could still restore the phone using DFU mode. It's quite difficult to permanently brick an iPhone, you can recover from most problems.

  • Out of curiosity: Will Activation Lock still work after an iPhone auto-erases on the 10th failed passcode attempt?

Believe me, I'm no chicken when it comes to security. Using a combination of a strong alphanumeric passcode laced with non-Latin homoglyphs, Activation Lock (which Find My iPhone automatically enables), a disabled Siri when the phone is locked, a disabled Control Center when the phone is locked (both of those are security risks due to Airplane Mode), and Data Protection (erase phone after 10 failed passcode attempts), there's no doubt someone other than me is going to have a real hard time trying to use my device...
... Or so it seems. I've been digging through the Apple support articles to find out what exactly Activation Lock does, and I noticed that if someone goes into Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings and erases the device in a seemingly authorized manner, Activation Lock gets disabled with it. However, if someone else tries to erase it, or if it's erased remotely, then it will still display the Activation Lock message and require login with the username and passcode used to log in initially. Here's the real issue, though: Not one of those articles mentions what happens when you have Data Protection enabled and Data Protection happens to get set off by a thief attempting to brute force one's passcode, and how nicely Activation Lock plays with it. Does anyone else have that information, just in case?

While I have yet to confirm this with Apple, my understanding is that the auto-erase wil leave the Activation Lock intact. AL wouldn't be of much use if a thief could get around it by just entering in the wrong passcode multiple times. You'll forgive me though, I trust, if I don't try to test this with my own device.
    Regards.

  • Option to wipe data after ten failed passcode attempts

Having just upgraded to the latest 2.1 software there is now the security setting to wipe data after ten failed passcode attempts - which I can't turn off as I am synching with work email. Can anyone confirm that this is 10 CONSECUTIVE attempts as 'fat finger syndrome' often means I take a couple of gos each time. Thanks!

A quick search of Apple Support yielded this:
"If you repeatedly enter the wrong passcode, iPhone or iPod touch will be disabled for longer intervals, before you can try again. After too many unsuccessful attempts, you won't be able to try again until you connect to the computer you normally sync with. Note that starting with iPhone 2.1 software, there is a setting to cause the device to erase itself after 10 consecutive incorrect password attempts. This setting is off by default. It can be turned on by tapping Settings > General > Passcode Lock after you enter a correct passcode."
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212
You can search Apple support for this as well. It is probably in the manual as well:

  • Time machine fails after three successful attempts consistently.

I am using time machine but it fails after three successful attempts consistently.
I am using a brand new 4TB G-drive. I have tested with Apple support and they are sure the problem is not with the disk.
The error message is "Unable to complete back-up folder". System log states:
    Starting standard backup
    Backing up to: /Volumes/Time Machine/Backups.backupdb
    Error: (22) setxattr for key:com.apple.backupd.ModelID path:/Volumes/Time Machine/Backups.backupdb/Mac Pro Desktop Computer size:9

    Error: (22) setxattr for key:com.apple.backupd.ModelID path:/Volumes/Time Machine/Backups.backupdb/Mac Pro Desktop Computer size:9
    Backup failed with error: 2
I have trawled Google and Apple and seen that this problem has been experienced by many but I have yet to find a solution to resolve my problem.
    Does anyone have a solution?
    Chris

I have seen this precise problem on a client machine.  It would run one to three backups fine, then start giving this error.
I tried every hint in the other discussions.  I repaired the backup volume.  I ERASED the backup folder and started over.  I erased and reformatted the drive.  Every time, it would get me one to three clean backups, then the same error all over again.  I tested the snot out of the drive and there was absoutely nothing wrong with it as a drive.
In desperation, I upgraded the client to Mountain Lion.  Mountain Lion took the "bad" backup set just as Snow Leopard had left it, and backed up to it with NO COMPLAINT.  It's still backing up fine several days later.
I guess the upshot is that Time Machine in Snow Leopard has problems that Time Machine in Mountain Lion has outgrown.

  • Data lost after 10 failed login attempts...Can the data be restored?

    Hello...
Has anybody a solution to recover the data after 10 failed login attempts?
My son played with my Iphone...and the data is gone...
    Thanks

Yes, I have already followed this article.
After changes in AD account, we need to follow this article.
But, here my concern is that after password change prompts, it keeps retrying again and again for new password. It will cross the threshold limit which is set as 10. But the account doesn't gets locked.
    Thanks for the suggestion.
