Re: Target Quantity in Cost Analysis for process Order

Hi ,
How is the target quantity is being calculated in Process order.
Two of BOM components total target qty, is different from the plan quanity.
Please advice.

    hi experts ,

i am getting target quantity of components , sfg used.

    Dear
First Check the Validity of the standard cost for the header material, It can be seen in ck13n, Dates tab.
Target costs are populated when you do the goods receipt. System will search for the released standard cost estimate and then apply that for each material component. If these 2 conditions are passed, then you will get target cost in order.
Plan cost = Plan qty * std cost estimate
Target Cost = Actual qty * std cost estimate
Actual cost = Actual qty * actual costs
    Eg:
A production order is planned for producing 10 units of a material
Then plan cost on the order = 10 units * std cost
Target costs are calculated once production is confirmed.
Suppose only 9 units were produced out of 10 planned
Then target cost = 9 units * std. costs

  • Tabale for Actual cost value for Process orders

    Hi Friends
From which table can we retrive the actual values relates to process orderwise, like actual material consumption cost, activites cost, overhead cost and other costs.

    Hi
You would find the actual for process orders in Table COEP with Object Number = OP*. Also Check if you would require COSS, COSP for Controlling Tables and to get the Object numbers you need to used AFPO with Order type of Process order PI01...

  • GR Cost not updating as Target Cost for process orders

    Dear SAPians,
We are facing an issue in Target Vs Actual cost reporting for process orders. We are creating a process order after cost estimate of that material and doing the confirmations for activity cost. After that, GR has been done for the finished goods of that process order. That GR entry is updating the Actuals values but not updating the Target cost. When I am checking the standard report KKBC_ORD, I am getting the following figures.
Cost Elemnt Text     |     Target Cost     |     Actual Cost     |     Target Vs Act
    Inventory Chnge FG     |     0     |     1,472,205.60-     |     1,472,205.60-
    Packing Matrl Cons.     |     1,148,142.37     |     1,252,752.68     |     104,610.31
    Raw Material Cons.     |     60,463.91     |     50,688.29     |     224.38
    Semi-Fin Matrl Cns.     |     181,934.68     |     367,959.56     |     186,024.88
    Labour Cost Activity     |     39,735.36     |     39,862.80     |     127.44
    Machine Cst Activty     |     41,611.75     |     43,153.01     |     1,541.26
That 'Inventory Change FG' entry is showing the GR posting updating actuals and not target cost. This is causing huge difference in target vs actual cost that will affect the profit and loss figures ultimately.
What am I missing here? What should I do to update the GR amount in Target cost as well.

    Dear,
Target Cost on Production Order or Process Order is shown only when Variance is Calculated.
So please calculate the Variance, system will show the Total Target Cost.

  • PLANNED AND ACTUAL COST IN A PROCESS ORDER

From where the planned cost of material and activity types in cost itemizationafter creation flow ?From where the actual cost of a material and activity types in  cost analysis of process order after confirmation flow?

You may be knowing you give Costing Variants ( Both actual as well as Planned ) in Order type. These Costing variants contains Valuation variants which says which costs are to be taken while creation ( for Planned Cost ) and Actual cost ( while confirming and Moving Goods) to be calculate. These Variants decides mode of Cost Flows.
Now, Data in Planned costs are Standard Cost figures or Current prices for material or Planned Prices of Activities.
As far as Actual costs are considered it may be the price for the consumed quantity @ the moving average price of the day or activity price for the qty. consumed which include up planned consumption too.....

  • Target cost calculation in Process Order based on Variance Calculation

    Hi all,
I have a question on Target cost calculation in Process Order. My understanding is, the Target Costs gets calculated when the confirmation and GR is made for the Process Order.
But if the confirmation/GR is not done, whether the target costs gets calculated for only the activity types after the Variance Calculation (KKS2).
I have two scenarios. In one, the target costs got calculated for the activity types without the confirmation/GR after the Variance calculation.
In another scenario, the target costs are not getting calculated for the activity types without the confirmation/GR if I try to do the variance calculation in KKS2.
SO i want to know which scenario is correct?
    Can anyone answer this question?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Brijesh

    Hi,
In general, the target costs are calculated once you deliver the order.
Target costs for the components and the activities are updated only once you deliver the order and the target cost for the finished product gets updated when you do the variance calculation.
Consider your scenario number 1 - you said the target costs got calculated for activity types without confirmation / GR after variance calculation.
Now, if the order is not having any status like PDLV, DLV or TECO it will not calculate the variances in the first place.
Your second scenario is correct - without GR the system does not calculate any target costs. Also it will not calculate any variances because the order status is still not DLV.

  • Results analysis for sales orders- actual costs/ revenues - (kka3-kkak)

Hi, i have a problem when I execute the individual results analysis for sales orders (kka3) I can see actual revenues and actual costs, however when I execute the collective processing (kkak) for the results analysis I don´t see these (actual revenues and costs). Is it normal? How can I see these in the collective processing?

Could be one of these possibilities:
    1) Controlling Area set is wrong
    2) You're input parameters are insufficient to get that sales order. Check Order Type etc you input in the main screen
    3) The master data is wrong which is not allowing the link to the Sales Order. You would have to check each field thoroughly.
You will have to probably do a lot of checks before you resolve this. This isn't normal btw....you should see all Sales Orders
    Assign Points if useful....

  • Authorization for Cost Analysis in Production Order

    Hi,
Can I maintain the authorization for displaying cost analysis in production order.
    I try to create transaction variant....into ZCO02 and ZCO03
but in COOIS it is still branching to CO02 when changing and CO03 when displaying.
I want to disable the cost analysis view in production order so PP people can not access it.
    is there any idea?
    Please help.

    Hi,
as i know K_ORDER is authorization for internal order.
We have activate the check in SU24,
but when we tried to trace the authorization when CO02 -> GOTO -> COST _> ANALYSIS
this auth K_ORDER is never check.
    Did I miss something here?

  • Results Analysis for Sales Orders

    Hi
When i am calculting Results Analysis for Sales Orders as a part of Month End Closing Activities there are some errors for few orders...
    Msg Type: E

    MsgNo: 216
Message Text: Planned Cost for Valuation are 0. Please Check the Object.
Can any one tell me what might be the error..
    Thanks in Advance..

    Hi,
The error is offen caused by one or possible more than one of following statements:
    - the delivery block of the order is set
    - the billing block is set
    - the schedule line ( confirmed quantity ) is missing
    - the position has been cancelled
    - price condition is missing
In case no one of the mentioned options wouldn''t help, set the position status to technically completed, if the position is processed as well ( delivery, invoice, etc. ).
We often face this kind of issue

  • Error reading material cost estimate for sales order (KE292)

    Dear All,
I have an issue with billing. we are posting july month transactions, the material cost is maintained through MR21. When releasing billing document for accounting we are getting error message like"Error reading the material cost estimate for sales order "11"
    Message no. KE292
    Diagnosis
In Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), the system tried to valuate item 000010 of sales order 11 by reading the corresponding product cost estimate.
However, no product cost estimate could be found for this sales order item.
The system accessed product costing for product AMLFP011011XX00P using costing key YB3 as defined in the
    CO-PA Customizing settings.
    System Response
The system cannot process the document any further.
    Procedure
    Check your Customizing settings."
We cross checked with other client as a current date and we ran cost estimate through CK40N with same material. and we posted entries. Here it is working fine. but in above process it is not working. Can you pls guide me where i missed.
    Regards,
    Nagaraju,

    Hi,
When the Costing Key is assigned to the material types in the COPA customizing, then system expects Cost estimation when billing is released to Accounts.
If you dont run cost estimation but update the material master through MR21, system will not accept as in the Costing key configuration you must have selected the Current Standard price field for the valuation.
Hence, try to run cost estimation and then do releasing.
    Thanks & Regards

  • User Status for process orders

    Dear Experts,
We are using user statuses for process orders & with this we are resricting or allowing certain business transactions.
My question is can we automatically set the two consecutive user statuses ?
Means when the GR for process order is done i have set the user status as GR.
    Next user status is CLSD.
So after completing the closing of process order by settlement transactions can i set the staus as CLSD automatic?
I am trying to do it but i am getting error as-
"Status CLSD is not allowed (ACT 30000292 0010)"
    Your help is highly appriciated
    Regards
    Vivek

    Hi,
    1) Still your order is carrying cost, it has not settled properly
    2) you can check in CO02 itself, Go to tool bar at top
    3) here Go to > Costs > Analysis & check whether order is set to Zero
    4) you can check in KKBC_ORD also
    Also, pls refer below link

  • Result Analysis for Refurbishment order

    Hi Experts,
Could you please explain, can we calculate result analysis for refurbishment orders, I have created the RA key wip cost element ,selected internal and service orders w/o revenue in OKG9 and  other WIP setting, I have assigned this TA key to order type in OIOF, I have created one refurb order, released and confirmed the order, now I have to do month end activity like RA calculation in KKA1 and than settlement.
When i am trying to execute KKA1  I am getting this message " Results analysis data was not changed
    Message no. KJ240"
Could you please advise me how I need to fix this issue.
Appreciate if you can explain the month end process for refurbishment order in detail.
    Regards,

    Hi,
The default settlement rule for refurbishment ordrers is FUL rule to material. This type of rules defines the business scenario where the actual costs are settled only after the order is delivered or technically completed. In such cases the most used solution to monitor costs incurred on the order is to assign a results analysis key to the order and compute the so-called work in process (WIP). WIP (if computed) is equal to the actual costs on the order and it is posted to a WIP account when settling the order before DLV or TECO. When the order is delivered or technically completed, WIP calculation reverse WIP in CO
and the consequent settlement post this WIP cancellation to FI. Simulateously, the actual balance of the order is settled to material.
Check your customizing in OKG9 for the RA version ; have you set flag 'transfer to FI' ?
    regards
    Waman

  • Cost Analysis by Sale Order

    Hello,
I'm seeking to enable in BI a Cost Analysis Scenario with repect to the <b>Sales Orders</b>. That is, something similar to the analysis you can easily perform in the R/3 area <i>Accounting -> Controlling -> Product Cost Controlling -> <b>Product Cost by Sales Order</b></i>.
For instance in standard report KKBC_KUN, you can choose a sales order number and get all the <b>cost elements</b> related to that sales order, with the corresponding costs.
I have examined the following objects provided by the BW's Business Content:
    - <u>InfoCube 0PC_C01</u>: it contains only the costs related to <b>production orders</b>, and not the costs associated with sales orders.
    - <u>InfoSource 0CO_OM_CCA_9</u>: it seems interesting, in fact it delivers some header and line item data of the <u>Controlling Object Document</u>. Unfortunately it doesn't deliver the crucial characteristics <i><u>Controlling Object</u></i> and <i><u>Controlling Object Type</u></i>, which I definitly need for enabling my analysis scenario!!
(By the way, are these 2 characteristics delivered by the BC? There exists a 0COSTOBJ characteristic, but it's not used by any object in the flow afterwards. Moreover, I can't find a standard DataSource in R/3 which I can use to load either its attributes or its texts, and see what data enter it..)
Business Content for Product Cost by Sales Order), but none could help me.
It seems really weird that it's not possible to carry out a <b>Cost Analysis by Sales Order</b> in BW, so if anyone has some suggestion it'll be very appreciated indeed.
    Thanks & Regards, Davide

I eventually found the following SAP Note. No BCT for this analysis scenario....
    <b>Note 584791 - BW-BCT-CO: Costs not extracted on sales orders</b>
    <b>Symptom</b>
In R/3, costs are posted directly to sales orders. The costs have to be analyzed in the BW system. In the standard system, however, this data is not extracted into the BW system.
    <b>Other terms</b>
    0CO_OM_OPA_1; 0CO_OM_OPA_6
    <b>Solution</b>
    1. There are currently no DataSources for costs on sales orders in the standard BW Business Content. Unfortunately, there are currently no resources scheduled for a new development in this area either.
    2. Therefore, the DataSources and the Business Content must be created in the customer project within the framework of consulting as a customer solution concerning the generic extraction options of the BW Service APIs or function modules you have programmed yourself for extracting data.
    3. Technical background information about costs on sales orders:
The transaction data is available in the following R/3 tables
COSS and COSP - Totals records or COEP - Line items.
This concerns records for the VB* object numbers.
The master data of the sales orders is contained in the VBAK and VBAP tables.
The 0CO_OM_OPA_1 and 0CO_OM_OPA_6 DataSources only extract costs for orders with master data in the AUFK table. These types of requests always have OR* object numbers. Therefore, these DataSources cannot be used for sales orders.
However, you may be able to assign requests from the AUFK table (for example, maintenance orders or production orders) to a sales order through the AUFK-KDAUF table field.
