Re Tek Bright 50D - PV2007E Video Display Driver

Hi,
This display monitor came with its own Toshiba board. I need a Windows 98 Driver for it as a matter of some urgency.
I can only find reference to a Tek Bright 50A.
Is this suitable - or what should I use.
Regards
Dave

Hello Dave
Please dont understand me wrong but this forum is mostly focused on notebooks and general PC troubleshooting. Because of that you will be very lucky if someone can help you with this specific case.
Try to google a little bit. Maybe you will find more info.

  • Problem playing videos, display driver.

When I open my program(Adobe Premiere Elements 10) and I choose a project, a message pops up saying "we have detected an incompatible display driver." How do I update my display driver? Why hasn't this message ever popped up before?

Well, "never" might be a bit too strong, BUT if you look through the PrE, PrPro and PS (yes, Photoshop now relies very heavily on the video driver, as of about CS 5), you will see hundreds, if not thousands of posts that basically state: "Windows told me that I had the latest driver, but that was from 2010, and I now see that nVidia (or AMD) has 25 newer ones... " I suppose that there HAVE been times, when Windows has gotten it right, but I have not seen one. The same holds for most driver utilities - they are so out of date, as to be useless. Without doing a spreadsheet of all such posts, and counting the times that Windows "got it right," vs how many that it got it very wrong, I would say that the best one could hope for with Windows and judging the video driver to be about 1:1000, and maybe even less. I contend that Windows is almost completely useless at determining if the video (and audio) driver is the latest one.
As nVidia and AMD/ATI release a new driver, almost monthly (AMD is really cutting back on their driver updates for some reason), the Web site is the best place to check, and by a significant margin. The mfgr's. Web site will be 100% correct, all of the time.
As for just the deletion of the BadDrivers.TXT file, if one still has an obsolete video driver, the program SHOULD just regenerate that file. Now, if they HAVE updated the driver, deleted the BadDrivers.TXT file, it should NOT be regenerated, at least for an nVidia, or AMD/ATI chip/card.
It is just like my tire inflation warnings on my autos. I can reset the warning message, but if I do not change the inflation of my tires, a new warning message is generated.
    Just my opinion,

  • Video display driver for Trident Cyber9525DVD PCI/AGP (W98.23)

I am having problems finding a suitable (generic) driver for my video card. I'm installing Solaris 8 for Intel on an Acer Travelmate 330T laptop with a Trident Cyber9525DVD PCI/AGP (W98.23) display adapter. The installation was successful but it just couldn't get into the CDE. Could anybody help me? Thanks.

    Hi:
See if this driver works.  If it doesn't, you will need to install a 64 bit operating system if you want to run windows 7.
I know this driver works for the Celeron N processors, but I don't know if it will work with the Pentium N processors.
Download, unzip and run the setup.exe file.

  • Surface Pro 3 Display/Video/Graphics Driver Issues - DisplayPort, External Monitors, Windows 10 Build 9926

Surface Pro 3 - i5 with Intel HD Graphics 4400
    Windows 10 build 9926
    All Latest updates installed
    Intel Graphics Driver 10.18.15.4079.
Latest system update released on Jan 22nd (which I understand is just the latest intel graphics driver?).
The display driver status has this error message: Windows has stopped this device because it
    has reported problems. (Code 43)  - I assume it's
reverting to the basic Microsoft driver when this occurs. Which explains why my displayport (External monitors) will not work.
I have uninstalled the driver completely (and deleted the driver files), tried the Windows basic driver,
and rebooted several times with no luck.
I cannot get my docking station displayport or the  displayporton my surface pro 3 working.
According to Microsoft (see below), this is a known issue UNTIL you update to display driver
    version 4079  - which I have.
Known issues on Surface after updating to Windows 10 January Technical Preview
On Surface Pro 2 and Surface Pro 3, the Mini DisplayPort won’t work on the Windows 10 January Technical Preview until you’ve installed graphics driver 4079 or later. Check Windows Update often for the most recent graphics driver.
On Surface Pro 2 and Surface Pro 3, you’ll notice poor graphics rendering on the Windows 10 January Technical Preview until you’ve installed graphics driver 4079 or newer from Windows Update. Check Windows Update often for the most recent graphics driver.
If you’re using video driver 3496, you may need to start in safe mode and remove that driver. Then restart Surface in normal mode and go to Windows Update to get the most recent graphics driver.

    Hi Nicholas,
Similar issue has been asked here:
Surface Pro 3 restarting after a series of blank screens!
For error code 43, here is a reference:

For the current situation, please try to wait for the driver update, as display driver version 4079 didn't work well at your side, please submit this through Windows Feedback Tool.

I am not sure what you meant by
I have read previous threads and have not been able to BadDriver.
Did you mean that deleting the BadDrivers.txt file did not solve the problem or you could not find it.
If you could not find it:
As for the BadDrivers.txt file. Can we assume that your Premiere Elements 11 is on Windows 7 or 8 64 bit?
    If so,

  • Video Display Module ?

I bought a Samsung Series 7 Laptop specifically to run video editing software. The Message from Adobe Premiere:
Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drivers and start again.

You have to get a new driver version, if the message is correct. Either from AMD or Samsung, but my guess is from Samsung, because they have a tendency to modify the standard drivers to meet their requirements. However, they also have a tendency to bring those out with huge delays and very irregularly.
Whether it is worth the effort is very doubtful. That Samsung is around 50 times slower than a fast desktop. So if you export a timeline on a fast machine and it takes around 2 hours for the export, it will take around 100 hours on this laptop. It lacks a second 7200 RPM SATA disk, that is absolutely necessary and it lacks ports to correct that deficiency.
I always wonder why people want to use a laptop for video editing, when you have to connect them to a wall outlet for ridiculously long times, defeating the portability argument.

  • Qosmio X300-14N - Is there a way to have the latest display driver?

    Hello,
Since the begging this computer has been very sensitive with video drivers, the use of SLI technology implies the use of the last Nvidia driver but our computer has never been officially added to Nvidia laptop releases. More generally, with some video games, I have big performances issues (for example Starcraft II), very high temperatures and sometimes artefacts.
Is there a way to have the latest officials drivers (without having to modify by hand .INF file) and what about temperatures issue ?
    Thanks.

Arzul-there is a way to use the latest Nvidia verde notebook driver without you having to modify the inf. yourself.
I posted the full method in the gaming forum under 'Toshiba display drivers and what they dont want you to know'-just follow that but use the latest Nvidia notebook driver and matching modified inf. from Laptopvideo2go instead of the driver i mentioned as i posted that sometime ago.
I have an x300-13w with the hybrid sli set up and i'm using the 258.96 driver with the pre-modified inf. from Laptopvideo2go with no issues-i have the nvidia SLI profile running for Starcraft 2 and its runs great!
However i did purchase a Zelmann laptop cooler to help during the summer and even though my GPU temp gets to 80-90c this is no hotter than when i was using Toshibas outdated driver-i do also regularly use compressed air can on the vents. All this has helped me to have good stable gaming on all the latest games.
I do share your frustration at the fact that our laptop is not included officially in nvidia drivers even though it has a Nvidia chipset not an Intel one-but its all to do with cold, hard business-Toshiba do not want to pay Nvidia to have our 'old' laptop supported in driver releases.
One thing that you should do if you update your display driver-also update to the latest BIOS from Toshiba-this corrected a bug which had prevented screen brightness control from working with gpus in SLI with recent drivers.
You will lose the laptops ability to auto switch to the motherboard gpu when on battery as well as this is a function only built into Toshiba display drivers-but you can do this manually yourself in needs be.
One disappointing thing i noticed with the release notes for the latest Nvidia driver-it states that 258.96 will be the LAST one to support hybrid SLI-i dont know if this means we wont be able to use later drivers even with modded inf.
Anyhow.. good luck and happy gaming!

  • Installed Premiere Pro CS4 but video display does not work?

I just got my copy of CS$. After installing Premiere I found two things that seem very wrong:
    1) video display does not work, not even the little playback viewer next to improted film clips located on the project / sequence window. Audio works fine.
    2) the UI is way too slow for my big beefy system.
My pc is a dual boot Vista-32 and XP system with 4GB of memory installed and nvidia geforce 280 graphics board with plenty of GPU power. The CS4 is installed on the Vista-32 partition. My windows XP partition on the same PC with Premiere CS2 works great and real fast.
Any ideas how to solve this CS4 install issue?
    Ron

I would like to thank Dan, Hunt, and Haram:
The problem is now very clear to me. The problem only shows up with video footage imported into PP CS4 encoded with "MS Video 1" codec. So this seems to be a bug. The codec is very clearly called out and supported within various menues but video with this codec just will not play in any monitor or preview window. In addition the entire product looks horrible with respect to performance while PP CS4 trys its best to play the video. Audio will start playing after about 30 seconds. And once in awhile part of video shows up at the wrong magnification before blanking out again.
My suggestion to the Adobe team: fix the bug and add some sample footage to the next release so new installations can test their systems with known footage.

any ideas on how to stop AE from causing my display driver to stop working?
    Thanks, Ramzi Rebeiz

For anyone picking up this thread (it's probably too late for rrebeiz40 by now!) I have come across a simple but apparently very effective tip that has solved the 'OpenGL driver lost connection' issue for many people using various NVIDIA with various Adobe progs (incidentally a lot of these seem to crop up on Dell machines, especially Notebooks).
(It fixed my issue with Premiere Pro CS4 - GeForce GT 555M on Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit, Dell XPSL702X).
It's posted on http://forum-archive.developer.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=5331&st=40 (look for the last post, No 50) as follows:
THIS FIX APPEARS TO WORK...found on an Adobe forum
"This issue led me to this fix: go to NVIDIA Control Panel --> Manage 3D Settings --> Global Settings, and switch "Power Management Mode" to "Prefer Maximum Performance" (the default "Adaptive" setting seemed to be the culprit). And that's it! The key here is changing the "Global" setting, as my individual programs were already set to "Prefer Maximum Performance." I can cause the error to reoccur by changing back to "Adaptive."
Otherwise lots more ideas on this site: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Fix...Nvlddmkm-Error/
My PC has been running for 2 days now. I only put the top fix in for now. Feel happier I have more options if need be though.

  • MSI 660 TI PE Display Driver crashes

    First, here is my system.
i5-2500k Processor (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072) (Processor is overclocked to 4.3ghz, temp on it never goes over 45-50°C though)

    4x4GB of G.Skill Ram (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314)
When my old MSI P67A-GD55 Motherboard bricked a month ago, instead of waiting on RMA I went ahead and got the Asus board, at the same time I went ahead and upgraded my old Asus GTX 560TI card to the MSI GTX 660TI card. Since the upgrade, I am constantly getting display driver crashes "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." when playing games. Guild Wars 2 and Starcraft 2 are the only ones I've had time to try, but both consistently give driver crashes after awhile (sometimes as soon as 15-20 mins, sometimes takes several hours of gameplay).
Here is the list of things I've already tried:
-First, I tried the most recent Nvidia drivers. Still crashes.
-Second, I tried running driver sweeper, removing all old drivers and reinstalling. Still crashes.
-Third, I tried disabling TDR in the Win7 registry. Still crashes.
-Fourth, I really ramped up the auto fan speeds. So far it hasn't crashed while doing this, but I can't do it for too long because the fans get so loud that it annoys me greatly.
-Fifth, I thought it might be an old Motherboard driver conflict of some sort, so I completely formated my OS hard drive and reinstalled Windows 7. Still getting crashes.
-Sixth, I used driver sweeper again and rolled back to the last official MSI drivers (the ones from October). Still getting crashes.
I really don't think the card is overheating. The most recent crash happened tonight after playing Starcraft 2 for about 20 minutes, and the temperature of the card never got over 60°C. That's why even with the extremely ramped up fan speeds I tried, I think if I used them long enough, the driver would still crash.
The power supply is the same as what I used with the 560TI and it didn't have these issues. And from my understanding, the 560TI consumed more power than the 660TI.
At this point, I'm at my wits end. The only thing else I know to try is swapping out the old 560TI in with the new motherboard or waiting for my old motherboard to come back from RMA and trying the 660TI in it. Though that means rebuilding the case, uninstalling the new mobo drivers and installing the old mobo drivers and authenticating Windows. Doing all of that is going to kill most of a day and I really only want to do that if I absolutely have to.
I've had such limited time for troubleshooting the card, that I'm regrettably past the 30day limit on RMA replacements to Newegg. So unfortunately that means I'm looking at an RMA directly to MSI and that takes about a month. Before I do that, does anyone have any advice on something to try that might be the cuplrit or can help determine the culprit? I can't find any details in the Event Viewer as to what caused the driver crash. Just that it has stopped responding and has recovered. I wish it could tell me if there was a loss of power, or anything. Power Management Mode is set to prefer maximum performance btw.
Btw, as a brief description of what happens. The screen goes black, and then comes back and the game is running very slowly. There will also usually be a popup above the taskbar saying that the driver had crashed. I keep the MSI Afterburner info window open in my second monitor and Power usage never goes over 80%, GPU Usage is usually around 95-99%. Core Clock and Memory clock drop to about 324mhz (which is what it idles at) temporarily during the crash. GPU Usage of course dips to very low levels while the driver is crashing, as well.
Oh and in an added twist, I've run Kombuster several times. Burn-in test DirectX 11 1920x1600 8xMSAA as long as five hours, and the display driver has never crashed. I'll probably turn it on, and disable the computer's sleep and display off tonight and let it run for about 8-9 hours and see what happens. That's one thing that throws me off, if it's a hardware defect, wouldn't Kombuster cause it to crash?
edit-Here is a screenshot of the Afterburner monitor during a crash while playing Starcraft 2. The huge dip in the bars that I have the cursor over is when the crash occured.

Well with the Power% limited to 75%, I just had another crash in Starcraft 2. Temp was only at 56°C just before the crash.
Here is a shot of the Afterburner Hardware Monitor when it crashed:
Unfortunately I do not have another PC to test the card in. And I don't know anyone around here with a system that the card could work in.
If I swapped out the 660TI with my old 560TI and I do not get any crashes, wouldn't that indicate it's the 660TI's fault and I'd need to RMA since the 560TI is a more power hungry card?

  • Amd catalyst & built-in display driver clash

    Hello,
I have a core i5 HP pavilion dv6 entertainment notebook pc with the following specs:
    Processor: 2.53Ghz
    RAM: 8 Gb
    Operating system: Win 7 x64
AMD Radeon HD 6500M/5600/5700 Series: 1 GB
    System Model: 3141se
I had a recovery partition on my laptop but a while back when I tried to run it, I kept on getting the same error message " your partition is of GPT style or something like that" and I had to wipe the whole drive and tried recovering from the backup DVDs, without any luck.
Having said that, I installed another copy of Win 7 with the original key provided and it was working fine. A couple of days back I installed a fresh copy of windows and now the problem I am facing is something like that:
Built-in intel display and AMD display driver installs, but I dont see anything in adapter section. Which means no graphics card is installed. When ever I install AMD catalyst driver, my windows turn black and stay that way forever (even though windows in running normally).
Whenever I disable built-in display driver from "device manager" it  works fine. But I have had no luck installing AMD catalyst control, I tried literally every version available.
Kindly, help me fix this issue. My Laptop is a crap without the graphics card.
    quick help would be appreciated.
    Thank you

Use the recovery media to install the AMD graphics driver softpaq.
Choose the AMD video graphics softpaq from the list that appears. The following image is an example from a former HP product loan I was provided by HP. What you see will be a bit different since the notebooks are not in the same model range.
