Pdf text extract problem with CID font and Identity-H

Hi all,
Iam facing some big problem with text extraction from pdf file.
Currently iam using congviews pdf2xl text extraction tool.
About 95% of the text extract correcly but few charaters showing box some ? and some dotted circle mark.
Font Used:
ArialUnicodeMS(Embedded Subset)
Type:(True Type (CID)
Encoding:Identity-H
TimesNewRomanPSMT
Type:True Type
Encoding:ANSI
ActualFont:TimesNewRomanPSMT
ActualFontType:TrueType
Anyone please help me to overcome this.

I tried with acrobat pro9 export option it retrieved only alphabets and numbers all of the hindi charcaters showing just ........
By the way how can i upload the my pdf file within this forum please guide me.

Refying PDF with subset embedded fonts fixes text extraction

Hi All,
I know it is not a good idea to (just) refry PDF files (PDF -> EPS -> PDF). Especially when the PDF contains subset embedded fonts. Chances are you will end up with a PDF file which does not contain valid (searchable) text.
I did not know the apposite could also be true. The following zip file contains 2 PDF files echo containing two words: the original and the refried version.

When selecting text from the original PDF (using acrobat 6 through X) file it contains incorrect text, in this case invalid capitals. If I try the same in the refried version the extracted text is correct.
It seems strange to me that a process which only can result in loss of information "fixes" this text issue. Somewhere the correct text must be hidden in the original PDF file. Not only capitals seem to be effected but also random characters which seem to be fixed once refried.
Could anyone think of an explanation?
Is there a workaround without having to refry the PDF (refrying often results in loss of information). I have no influence on the PDF files I recieve, therefore I cannot embed the full fonts.
I am using de C++ SDK for Acrobat to write plugins.
Any pointers would be great!

Your explanation makes sense.
I went ahead and removed the tounicode cmap just to see what would happen
if (CosDictKnown (cosFont, ASAtomFromString ("ToUnicode")))
CosDictRemove (cosFont,ASAtomFromString ("ToUnicode"));
As you predicted this fixes some issues and introduces new ones.
The results differed from the refry method, in some cases the refried PDF did not contain extractable text, in other cases the PDF without "ToUnicode Cmap" had no extractable text.
Maybe I could combine the information of different text extraction methods to make an educated gues which one (or combination of) is best :S
I suppose looking at individual textruns (with all its complexity) would not help me either...

That does not work on model year older then 2010 and really doesn't work on any older then late 2011 models.
You will need a set of original system dvd disc thjat are always sypplied with every mac sold before Lion came out. Systems older then late release early 2011 models.
If you don't have them you kcan order a replacement set from apple by calling them. Have the serial number of you mac handy.

It's a bug striking in long documents.
Select a word somewhere higher in the page then use the arrows to reach the wanted insertion point.

I have encountered an issuse regarding to create hyperlinked text in F1 help of a particular Data Element.
For Example what i am trying to do is ---
If you open a particular data element say "ATNAM" in se11 you will found the below documentation available for ATNAM -->>

you can give the hyperlink in the documentation by going to the path below
MENUBAR ----> INSERT -----> TEXT -----> HYPERTEXT.
this will solve the issue

I have dell xps it runs at 3840 x 2167 and bridge lightroom and photoshop are unusable as the type is so small if win is re scaled to a low res the products still use full res and you canot see text can you help!

I am about to buy the above products for home and a laptop I bought the high res laptop for editing photos and the photos look great on the display but I cannot use photo shop and lightroom
has any body had this problem and is there a simple fix that I have missed
taking the res down in the control panel reduces the res but does not effect the programme
by the way the dell xps is great

I am using the latest photoshop and bridge from the cloud but only using the trial copy at the
moment
I will look closer and try to scale it to a suitable level

There is that pitfall in buying HiDpi laptops for Windows.
Only Photoshop CC 2014 has the option to scale the UI 200% in order to make it usable on these hires screens.
CC and earlier does not have this and Adobe would have to retrofit them. Not likely with older products.

i have bought this new nokia n86 8mp in jan and have been dealing with problems since then....first of all the colours of the phone crashed and the screen was replaced in 15 days from the date of purchase.,,,,then the colours again crashed and the phone was being replaced just a few days ago.......
One thing more i want to know how i could change the phone settings as the phone keeps on using the gprs.....i have to manually disconnect the access point from the active connections...

go to settings..>connection..>destinations..>options..>default connection..>Always Ask........when the connection is required then the phone asks for a permission and a message will appear so you will have to choose the right connection

Toggle iMessage Off then On
Turning iMessage off then on again worked for my particular issue. You can do this by following these steps:
From the Home screen, open “Settings“.
Select “Messages“
Slide “iMessages” to off for about 3 minutes, then turn it back on.
Your iPhone will be re-registered and may clear up the duplicate text message notification problem.
Repeat Alerts Setting
There is a setting that repeats notifications which could cause this issue. Check it with these steps:
From the Home screen, open “Settings“.
Select “Notification Center“.
Choose “Messages“.
Ensure that the “Repeat Alerts” setting is set to “Once“.
Send & Receive Setting
Another setting that involves sending notifications to multiple numbers could be the issue as well. Check the following:
From the Home screen, open “Settings“.
Select “Messages“.
Choose “Send & Receive“.
Ensure that only your phone number is listed in the “You can be reached by iMessage at” area. If you have an email address or anything else listed, it could cause duplicate text messages.
