Re: Toshiba Disc Creator sees disc as closed
I would like to append files to a data disc which still has 200MB free space and is not closed. Toshiba Disc Creator sees the free space but sees the disc as closed. I checked on a PC with Nero and Nero sees writable free space.
Why?
How can I get Toshiba Disc Creator to see the disc as open?
Hey,
What notebook and operating system you have?
Probably you have to update the current version of your Toshiba Disc Creator software. Its downloadable Toshiba tool that you can get here:

Error message when trying to use Toshiba Disc Creator
I recently updated Vista to Service Pack 2 from SP1 and now I'm getting an error message when I try to use Toshiba Disc Creator 2.0.1.3. "Unexpected error occurred. Error Code 32007C-26-00000001" It worked perfectly before.
This is the first time I've used it since updating so I think SP2 may be part of the problem but I'm not sure. I couldn't find any updates for TDC. My system is a Satellite L305-S5919 with Vista 32 bit.
Anyone have any idea what might be causing the error?
ThanksHave you tried to roll back OS to earlier time and check functionality again, just to be sure it has something to do with SP2 installation?
I dont know if anyone here can offer some solution but Im pretty pessimistic about that and dont think Toshiba will offer new version.
As far as I know Toshiba disc creator was always offered with recovery image only and not as downloadable application. -
Toshiba Disc Creator Has Stopped Working Error Message
I have a Toshiba Satellite P305D-S8834, and tried to burn a CD using Toshiba Disc Creator v.2.0.1.3. But I kept getting an error message saying "Toshiba Disc Creator has stopped working." and couldn't successfully burn a CD. Though I contacted Toshiba tech support, I couldn't get useful info. Any tips would be appreciated.
Try removing and reinstalling Disc Creator. Install the latest version from the Toshiba site.
Also update the BIOS, and ensure you are using quality DVD discs such as TDK. No-name discs wear out easy and use cheap dye's.
Also try deleting the UpperFilters and LowerFilters:

Equium A110: Toshiba Disc Creator crashes
I have an A110, with XP loaded as supplied and I am using *Toshiba Disc Creator* (because I was told Toshiba turned off windisc because it would conflict).
The problem is when I burn a Data CD for photo backups etc the operation is successful but *afterwards the disc creator program freezes* and will not shut down properly.
I have tried cntrl plus alt plus delete, and tried to select the application and shut it down too but it just can't force it to shut down and it uses loads of system resources so I am eventually forced to switch off with the power button, which I hate as I understand an improper shutdown can really mess things up!
So do you cool dudes have any suggestions. Is there a patch out there, or could I use another CD/DVD burning programme, I haven't yet because of what I was originally told about conflicts?
Awaiting your wisdom.
ThanksHi,
did you already checked on the Drivers Download page for some newer version of the Toshiba disc creator? Maybe its just an version which conflicts which some other software on your computer.
What I would suggest is to reinstall windows and install ONLY the Toshiba tools and nothing else. Please take care of the installation order which is listed in a document -> downloadable from the Drivers Download page.
If it then fails then it could be some kind of software problem but if not then you know that some other 3rd party application interferes with the disc creator.

Toshiba Disc Creator vs. BurnAware, CDBurnerXP InfraRecorder
Can anyone share their opinion of how Toshiba Disc Creator compares with the high-profile free burners BurnAware, CDBurnerXP (without Open Candy), and InfraRecorder? The context is data backups rather than music/video. Multisession (preferrably maximized for readability with existing disc readers) is highly valued.
The reason why I'm asking is because I own only one computer, a Toshiba Satellite A660. I sussing out the possibility that there may be synergy advantages from using a Toshiba burner on a Toshiba platform, though I fully prepared for the possibilit that there isn't.Hi
Toshiba Disc Creator is nice and basic burning software which you got for free.
Toshiba Disc Creator can write to CD-Rs, DVD-Rs. You can make copies of CDs and DVDs.
The software provides five options: burn audio disc, burn data disc, copy disc, disc to image and image to disc.
For a common usage, these available options should be good enough
Other mentioned software is not known to me beside the Toshiba Disc Creator I use the Nero burning ROM. Of course you have to purchase this software but in my opinion its one of the best burning software on the market. -
Toshiba disc creator to create audio CD
Hi,
I have the toshiba disc creator 2.1.0.7 (using windows 7) and I am trying to make a copy of an mp3 cd.
So I just copied the mp3 song from the original CD to HD. then opened toshiba disc creator
selected the audio CD option.
Selected the source and drag them the destination.
The strange thing is that as soon as I drop about 10 songs, it says the disc is full.
Looks like it is saving it as some other format otherthan mp3.
Where can I set the mp3 for the destination.
Why can n't it just keep the original format for the destination.
Thanks
Jay
Attachments:
CD picture.png 89 KBInstead of saying that you are creating an audio CD, select the setting for a data disk. As is, selecting audio CD tells the program that the files need to be formatted for audio playback, not as MP3 files. Selecting data disk will cause the program to leave the file format alone.

I have a Satellite L755-S5256 that when I start it goes thru a program like I did not shut it down properly and then says I need a startup disc. Does anyone know how I can purchase this disc and where and how much? I have called support but they told me to come to this website. Please help me, I love my laptop and dont want to have to buy a new one.
Satellite L755-S5256
You need to access the Windows Recovery Environment, Chris. We can run many fixes from there.
What are the system recovery options in Windows 7?
You should be able to do that using F8 and Repair Your Computer as explained above.

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=50163&clcid=0x0409Hi
It seems this is a common error message if an application doesnt run as it should.
According to this short error, the applications or process called ToDisc.exe has crashed. This file belongs to the Toshiba Disc Creator software.
In my opinion its really not easy to say why it happens but my first idea is that your have used a not compatible or not fully supported CD or DVD to burn the Toshiba image.
The image is really a big file and therefore you should use a DVD medium. Please check the user manual to get more details!!!
Ive got additional advice; try to use different DVD from different manufacturers because sometimes not all mediums are supported.

How can I repair Vista system files with only a Toshiba recovery disc??
I have pretty much come to the conclusion that the reason I can't install Vista service pack 2 is due to some corrupt vista files. I ran the program that checks that system files and it said some are corrupt. There are some things I can't do, like turn on the Windows firewall even from that special adminostrar screen, or if I schedule a check disc scan, when I reschedule it for start up, it doesn't do it at startup. I had a Red Screen about a year ago, and it did a bunch of stuff and at the end, it said you had a major event and contact your administartor. Well, I am the administartor, lol. Anyway, it worked fine and I attribute these problems to that event.
Vista discs come with a repair option. All I have is the Toshiba disc that lets you reinstall the Toshiba and Vendor applications OR reformat the hard drive. I am not going to spend days trying to get my system back to where it is by tracking down everything I have installed especially when its working. Is there a work around? I will buy a Vista Home Premium disc if I have to before refortmatting. I have an x205-S9349 with Vista Home Premium. THANKS!Satellite X205-S9349

BURNING PURCHASED ITUNES SONGS TO DISC AFTER DOWNLOADING
After purchasing songs from Itunes and downloading to the library, I recently burnt some 40 songs to 2 discs, I then realized that I needed a third disc to complete 4 songs, unfortunately I ran out of blank discs and closed out the session. When I reopened up Itunes to complete the task of burning the remaining songs my computer froze and rejected the empty disc with the following message
"THE ATTEMPT TO BURN A DISC FAILED AND UNKNOWN ERROR OCCURRED (2123)"
To prove there were no problems with the C drive I downloaded songs from the windows media player with no problem. Obviously there is a system problem with Itunes and would appreciate any input or advise that can be provided to rectify the problem. Would uninstalling Itunes and reinstalling help in this case.Authorize the computer by playing one of the purchased songs then sync the iPod.

Download recovery Disc Thinkpad Yoga
Hi,
I had a problem with my thinkpad yoga, I accidentally used a recovery image from an ideapad yoga 2 pro. It's now wiped all the partitions and replaced the recovery with a yoga 2 pro recovery, is it possible to download a recovery image?
I previously couldn't even boot into the thinkpad recovery which is why I tried the alternative recovery image, assuming it was just a pure win8 install, but now many modules don't work (onelink ethernet, touchpad etc)
Thanks.Yes, I'm sure, I used the same Recovery DVD created on first day I bought the laptop.
the OS is Vista Home Premium 32 bit
the reason I reinstalled the windows was because the HDD got some hardware problems and I changed its HDD and used the recovery dvd to install windows...
I just checked right now and realized the TOSHIBA RECOVERY CREATOR HELP .PDF is already installed but no sign of the RECOVER CREATOR itself ! -
Blue screen of death on Toshiba P755-S5375 with ADOBE ENCORE CS6
I recently purchased a new laptop and installed Adobe Master Collection CS6. I purchased the laptop for video capture and editing, as well as for blu-ray authoring.
Unfortunately, although the computer and software works fine for video capture and editing, I am unable to author a blu-ray. For authoring, I am using Adobe’s Encore CS6. After checking and previewing my creation, I attempt to build to disc using Encore. About 2 seconds after clicking the build disc in Encore, I get the “blue screen of death” (BSOD). This happens every time I try to build to blu-ray (only blu-ray has this issue; I am able to build to a DVD). I am using an external blu-ray drive on USB 3.0.
I am using Encore version 6.0.0.492
Here are the blu-ray drive specs:

We need to know the Stop code on the blue screen. If there is a file name mentioned, we want that too.
You can prevent the rapid disappearance of the blue screen during a normal boot by choosing this at the F8 Startup menu.

Toshiba recovery media creator
http://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/trmc-20130730133957.zip
All programs seam to work except HWsetup. Flashcards show up when using special function keys except for the volume, the volume special function keys work to turn volume up and down but you don’t see the flash cards, and of course there is no recovery partition so the recovery media creator cannot burn recovery media.

Instructions for changeing to from Windows 8 to windows 7.
INSTRUCTIONS:
First - Burn recovery media before you make any changes! -You may want or need to go back to windows 8 later-
Update BIOS to newest bios version, the C55 and possibly other models will not support CSM boot mode with the older bios versions.
Second -
Important Bios changes when changing from Windows 8 to Windows 7:
Completely shut down laptop (Shut down Windows 8 while pressing the Shift key to completely power off.) then restart computer and hold f2 when the screen goes black and wait for the bios setup utility to launch.
Select advanced, then system configuration, then boot mode
UEFI and CSM or legacy (UEFI for Windows 8 and CSM or legacy for windows 7)
For windows 7 change to CSM or Legacy mode.
Third - Also in bios setup utility select - Security, then Secure Boot, then you have to disable secure boot for windows 7.
You will need to delete all partitions before installing windows 7 this is done forth step.
Forth - Insert your windows 7 disc and select custom install, your partitions should show up - click on each one and below you will see advanced drive options, click that and you will have options to format - format each one, then delete each one. You will be left with one raw partition, select to install and windows will do the rest while installing the operating system.
Fifth - install drivers
Installation order is important:
Install chipset driver then video driver before other drivers. Then install Toshiba Value added package before other applications
-See attached pictures that show installed applications-

Error with CD/DVD creator software
Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong place but I have a problem. My CD/DVD burning software has gone, dunno when or where, its just gone :( I downloaded it again from somewhere and get this error -
Error Code: 32007C-49-00000001
Can someone help me?
ThanksHey,
Do you mean the CD/DVD creator software of Toshiba or another one and when do you get this error message exactly?
Where have you downloaded the software?
Usually the Toshiba disc creator can be downloaded on official Toshiba website itself.
But you should check on control panel > uninstall software if an older version is still installed. If yes remove it and restart your computer. Then start with installation of new software.
