  • Transfer ports definitions between SAP systems

    Hi,
I would like to know if there is a way to transfer ports definitions (WE21) between SAP systems ?
      Thanks, Nir.

There is no program to copy ports into another system. You could write an ABAP program and an RFC FM to read EDIPOA and EDIPORT tables from other client and insert them into the current system tables, but it is not suggested to do that because the RFC destinations should exist and no company wants to do direct update on SAP delivered tables because SAP will not support in case of errors.
Thats why as far as my experience, I've always created them manually.

  • Transfer customizing data between SAP System

    Hi to all!
How I can transfer PS customizing data between R/3 4.5B and R/3 4.7?
    Thanks,
    Gianluca

    Hi,
Can I suggest a slightly more robust approach?  What Andreas is suggesting, is that in fact you should be able to transfer the customising data by doing a standard transport.  You can create a transport in your 4.5B system and then it can be physically copied (at the operating system level, for example FTP) to your 4.7 system and then imported.
I think that this is probably the right way to go, but you may have some troubles if the PS system has some changes in 4.7 (as the destination config tables may have different structures to the source tables).
The change I suggest from Andreas is start by using the IMG to generate the transport.  If you go to every area of customising that you wish to transfer to the 4.7 system and make a change (save to a change request) then change it back and save, you will make sure that you have every table required to be transferred in your change request.  You can then edit the change request (in SE09) and change the keys (by putting an *, rather than the specific data) to ensure you get all the data.
I just feel that given the complexity of configuration tables (and the sheer number of them) it would flow smoother if generated the initial list via the IMG, rather than trying to figure them all out yourself.
After the change request has all the correct entries you will need to release it (to ensure that the object in Unix has all the data from the SAP system).  You can then FTP it to the 4.7 system and do an import of the change request (and cross your fingers that you don't get import errors due to config tables changing in 4.7).
    Hope that helps,
    Brad

  • Cannot transfer large files between drives - data can't be read or written

    Hi there!
I am trying to transfer a couple of large files to a hard drive from my internal ssd. Both are set to Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Small files transfer fine, but large ones (eg. 20GB) get a varying distance through and then the following error message comes up:
The Finder can't complete the operation because some data in “FILENAME” can’t be read or written. (Error code -36)
I have tried to ensure read&write permissions are allowed, but this hasn't helped. This has occurred with multiple files.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Hi
    I exported a movie
    How ?
One must/can only move iMovie Events and/or Projects - WITHIN IMOVIE !
Do not alter or move anything in
    • iMovie Project folder - or -
    • iMovie Events folder
IMovie get's confused - and damage might well be un-repairable !
How was the target hard disk formatted ?
Mac OS Extended - only option that works !
How much space was there on the target hard disk ?
    1 hour SD-video needs about 13Gb
    HD about 5 times more
    I would
    • Connect second laptop (Mac) via FireWire
    • Start this second one - Keeping T-key down (target mode)
    • Now in iMovie Project resp Events window it will show up as an external hard disk
    Drag-and-drop Events and/or projects over.

  • Transfer large files between two Macs over the web

I would like to transfer a number full quality photos from a DSLR between two computers located in different states. Both machines are Macs, running Tiger. I would prefer a direct transfer method rather than breaking the files into email messages, which would be quite time consuming given the size of the files.
What is the best way to accomplish this? If the two machines were on the same local network it would be easy, but they are not so simply enable file sharing doesn't solve the problem (as far as I know). Can I enable FTP access on the host machine and access if from across the web? How would I figure out the proper address from outside the local network (assuming NAT is used on both ends). Is there a program I could use to make the process simpler (some sort of Bittorrent or DC++ program)?
Or is there a good online service that is free that allows large amounts of storage?
    Thanks for the suggestions.
    -Josh

    You could...
...turn on port forwarding in the destination router, forwarding port 22 for ssh to the destination computer
...turn on remote login on the destination computer
...turn on file sharing on the destination computer
...open a Terminal window and type ssh -L5548:localhost:548 [email protected]
where "user" is a valid account name on the destination computer and "IP.of.dest.Computer" is the IP address assigned by the destination computer's ISP to its broadband modem. The destination computer can get this information from http://www.whatismyipaddress.com/ as BDAqua said. Then, so long as the ISP doesn't change the dynamic IP address before you actually do the transfer, you're okay. It's possible to get a free dynamic host name which circumvents this problem.
After all that, then on the source computer, you would just do a ⌘k and enter localhost:5548 and select the shared user account and login, then the remote computer will mount like an icon on the desktop of the source computer, as if it werre a local external drive. Then it's just drag-and-drop. ⌘e when done, then in terminal, type exit and then ⌘q.
I would not leave port 22 forwarded in the router any longer than I had to, unless you do a little work to harden your ssh remote login. However, even if you do nothing to harden it, it is way better as is than leaving ftp open.

  • Unable to transfer large files from MB to External HDs

    Hi,
This may be an unusual one. My 1st edition Macbook won't let me transfer large files to my external hard-drives, either by USB, Ethernet or wirelessly through my home wi-fi network.
I've started video editing so I'm importing DVcam tapes through firewire from the camera. A full DV tape translates to about 8-12gb I think.
Using iMovie and saving the import to my Freecom 3.5inch network harddrive vis USB or ethernet, it fails saying 'Unexpected error, error code 1309'.
When I try quicktime pro instead to import the tape to the external HD, I get 'Operation could not be completed, An attempt to add a resource to the file failed'. This happens too with my WD 2.5inch external drive.
However, there is no such problem when I import to the MB's internal harddrive. When I then try and shift the large file off the laptop to an external drive, via USB, ethernet of wirelessly, for editing and save keeping, it fails half way through.
I have the same problem when I try back-up my 17gb virtual windows machine I use with VMware fusion off the laptop to an external drive.
I am currently burning an 18gb iMovie project from the MB's internal HD, over 5 DVDs using Toast's disc-spanning and will reimport them to the external, which is really time consuming.
Also to note, Final Cut Express doesn't have these problems as it seems to break up what would be an 18gb movie file into several smaller files, which my MB is quiet happy to let go onto an external drive. However, the problem re-emerges on Final Cut Ex when I try and import a HDV tape. Possibly FCE isn't breaking them up into small enough pieces for my MB to handle?
Any ideas why this is happening and what I can do to fix it? Or does this mean a new laptop?

I'm a bit late to the party, but specifically there's a 4GB file size limit in the FAT32 format that is standard on many external hard drives. I've run across this problem before, and usually it copies over most of the file and then quits when it reaches the limit.

How do I share a large file between accounts on my imac?

Put the file in a folder that both users have access to, such as /Users/Shared or one user's Public folder. You may also need to change its permission settings in the Finder Info window.

  • MDDataSetBW.GetCellData. See RFC trace file or SAP system log for more...

    Ingo,
I am getting below error message in BO Test environment when I refresh WebI document.
MDDataSetBW.GetCellData. See RFC trace file or SAP system log for more details
It was working when we migrated the objects initially. Subsequently when we try to refresh WebI document we are getting the above error message. It still works in BO Dev environment and the no of records are the same in Dev and Test.
I am able run the underlying BEx query in SAP BW Test environment and it does return data.
I checked ST22 and SM21 log, but no details there.
Is it related to Authorization on the Universe or Bex Query?
We are in the middle of UAT and not able to move forward. I would greatly appreciate your input.
    Thanks

    Ingo,
I ran the zip file and added the required entries to registry.
And then I tried to reproduce the error, but the files are not generated instead I noticeed below error message on the server:
The description for Event ID ( 7939 ) in Source ( Crystal OLAP Client ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Registry Access Error: , [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE]Software\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\MDA\Log\Modules: The system cannot find the file specified..
Does tha t mean we do not have permissons to read the registry?
I would greatly appreciate your input.

  • Stor.E TV+ doesn't transfer large file or large selection of files

    Hi Everyone,
I've just bought a Stor.E TV+ 2TB and I've found a very noisy problem related to file transfers from PC to the HDD trough the LAN (wired &/or wireless).
The unit doesn't transfer large file or large selection of files and hangs the PC process.
Does anyone knows if there's an update firmware or a workaround to solve this?
Looking forward to read from someone.
    Thanks
    G.

    Hi
As far as I know this was solved by firmware update
You could find the firmware on Toshiba European driver page:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
    Here choose:
    - Options
    - Drive Devices
    - Multimedia HDDs

  • Can't transfer large files with remote connection

    Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out why we can't transfer large files (< 20MB) over a remote connection.
The remote machine is a G5 running 10.4.11, the files reside on a Mac OS X SATA RAID. We are logged into the remote machine via afp with an administrator's account.
We can transfer files smaller than 20 MB with no problem. When we attempt to transfer files larger than 20 MB, we get the "The operation can't be completed because you don't have sufficient permissions for some of the items."
We can transfer large files from the remote machine to this one (a Mac Pro running 10.4.11) no problem.
The console log reports the following error:
NAT Port Mapping (LLQ event port.): timeout
I'm over my head on this one - does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks,
    David

I tried both these things with no luck.
The mDNSResponder starts up right after the force quit - is this right?
The following is the console log, which differs from the previous logs where we had the same problem:

You don't need conversion programs, iTunes can copy most of your content over to the iPad via the file sharing section, and some apps also support Dropbox, email attachments, transfer via your wifi network. There are a number of apps that you can get that support Microsoft office file (microsoft don't make an app versions of their software) e.g. from Apple there are Pages (word support), Numbers (excel) and Keynote (powerpoint), and from third-parties there are apps such as Documents To Go and QuickOffice HD

  • Can you transfer specified files between an imac & laptop

http://ChucF  Can You transfer specified files between a laptop & an imac?

    Sure.
    There are several possibilities.
You can connect the 2 with FW and start one as Target (keep T pressed during boot). You will see the second Mac as external HD and do the transfer with Finder.
Or you can connect the 2 on the same net with Gigabit Cable or WiFi and again use Finder.
If you need more control in transfer I found Tri-Backup usefull (www.tri-edre.com)
