When I tried to set up an account, a screen popped up saying, "Due to high demand, icloud is not available for new users. Try again later." Is this a temporary thing?

Ok, its not even Christmas yet, so is this going to be weeks...months...what? Part of the troubleshooting the sync issues (I can't sync any iDevices at the moment) is syncing them all on iCloud then switching back--so I can't do my troubleshooting to fix my devices because of this, not nearly as simple as just wanting to try a new feature. Apple big time fail.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)

If you are not receiving the verification email from creating your iCloud account you may need to resend it. Also make sure you are checking your junk/spam folders. Please use the following article as a reference.

I can't sign in to iCloud on my Mac due to an alert stating that my email address has not been verified.
If you can't sign in due to the alert “Account not verified - Check your email for instructions for verifying your account”:
Close and reopen iCloud preferences before attempting to sign in to iCloud again.
If that does not resolve the issue, check your email folder and Junk folder for a verification email sent from Apple.
If there is no verification email in your email folder or Junk folder, click the Resend Verification Email button in iCloud preferences.

How do I set up a new iCloud account separate for my iphone and ipad?

I have an old iCloud account for my iphone and when I bought an ipad last year I used the same iCloud account. I now have no storage left and my iphone won't back up. I want to upgrade my iphone soon but don't want to lose all my photos, contacts, etc.
I have spent the last hour trying to create a new iCloud account so I have two separate ones for my iphone and iCloud, to no avail. Apple don't seem to have any information I submit and I am just going round in circles updating passwords! And re-enters new account details. I haven't received an email registering my new iCloud account.
Can anyone help! Can I create two iCloud accounts? Why can't i! Even though I am using two separate email addresses.

If it's stuck on verifying it's because she never responded to the verification email that Apple should have sent to the primary email address she used for the Apple ID she set it up with. She should check her inbox and spam/junk folder for this email and click on the Verify Now link to verify the account. If the email isn't there, she can go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under her Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.
Or, you can just delete the account (which is a misnomer since until verified the account isn't really created).

I changed my Apple ID because I have changed my IP and my previous address is no longer active. Thanks to some kind people on here I've resolved problems with apps etc but now have a problem with iCloud. It keeps asking for my previous log in details but then doesn't recognise them. From what I've read I need to set up a new iCloud account but can't find any info on how to do it. I can only find info on initial set up on new devices. Can anyone help? I ought to point out that I'm 60 with only average IT skills and I don't find Apple products intuitive no matter what the say!

You cannot merge Apple IDs but you can go to Settings > iCloud and 'Delete Account'. When prompted to turn off documents and data, choose the only option which is Delete from my iPhone, but on the other prompt for Contacts, Calendars, etc you can choose 'Keep on my iPhone' Then once the Account is Deleted form the iPhone, log back in with the correct Apple ID and choose Merge when prompted. This will merge your data from this iPhone with that iCloud account effectively putting your devices on the same account.

My device keeps prompting me for the password every few minutes after updating to iOS 8, and I've tried every option possible to retrieve the password, but I don't even know the answers to the security questions and I can't find the password reset email anywhere and I don't know the back up emails my mum used. I literally cannot find any legitimate way to sign out of the initial iCloud account without entering a password (which neither I nor my parents know). Go to www.icloud.com, go to the mail module, acess the settings (small gear wheel, on the right), choose Preferences>Accounts and create an alias in the lefthand panel.

Sign out in System Preferences>iCloud. This will remove any synced data such as Calendars, emails and Contacts from your Mac, but will have no effect on the data on the server - so that other devices logged into it will continue to see the data.

Well, you can go to Manage your Apple ID and change the password if you can answer the Security Questions:

If you cannot remember the Security Questions you can contact iTunes Support to reset them for you:
New iTunes Support - US and ww
Once you get your password reset and you can access your account info on Manage your Apple ID, you can change your ID. You won't be able to use the same email address that you are using for the new ID unless you change that one to something else. But, if you can get back into your old ID and change it to a new email address, then you can go on using that old ID, and just manually move the iCloud stuff you added to your new ID back onto the old one. Most of the stuff (like Contacts, Calendar, Notes) can be added by logging onto https://www.icloud.com on your Mac and doing it that way (it is a lot simpler when you have an actual keyboard in my opinion)
