Re: URL to run Zimbra Web Client for Oracle Beehive?

Hi
I tried login to zimbra getting the following error.
An unknown application error has occurred. Please correct any errors and retry. If the problem persists, please contact your System Administrator. (INVALID_PDU)
I was able to login for the first time when i installed zimbra freshly in the machine.
After had to remove zimbra home for other purpose. Reinstalled again, but getting this error.
Should I need to remove any files that may be causing this prop ?

Hi Fred,
beectl list_components --type ServiceInstance commands gives the zimbra instance details as follows:-
-----------------------------------+--------------------------------------------
ZimbraConnectorServiceInstance | instance_zimbra-connector_BEECLIENT_zimbra.
| beehive.beehive.com
-----------------------------------+--------------------------------------------
ZimbraUIServiceInstance | instance_zimbra-ui_BEECLIENT_zimbra.beehive
| .beehive.com
-----------------------------------+--------------------------------------------
Hope that is a perfect result..
I had uninstalled the Zimbra home using runinstaller remove home option
Thanks and regards

  • URL to run Zimbra Web Client for Oracle Beehive?

I installed Oracle Beehive Integration for Zimbra Release 1.
How to run the Zimbra Web Interface? .
Where is the Zimbra Web Client Interface?
Is neccessary to download a Zimbra Web Client Interface from the www.zimbra.com site?

    Hello
No need to download the Zimbra web interface from Zimbra.com
Run Beehive runInstaller on a new Oracle Home (dedicated for your Zimbra installation ) and choose the latest option at the starting page - Zimbra Installation for Beehive
Zimbra is an OC4J application, running on your HTTP port ( 7777 or 7778 by default)
The URL to access Zimbra once installed is http://yourservername.domainname:port/zimbra

    Hello,
You can find detailed presentations in the learning maps available on the SAP Service Marketplace http://service.sap.com/rkt-crm for release CRM 2006s, CRM 2007, or CRM 7.0. In case I didn't mention it before, Intent-Driven Interaction (IDI) was first introduced and is only available starting with CRM 2006s and above. In the Interaction Center area, there is a presentation called "Rule Based Automation and Guidance" which covers IDI. I'm not sure if you can access the URL directly, but just in case here it is: [https://websmp104.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001162852007E].

  • Beehive enhancement of the day: furthering the Zimbra Web Client

With the decision to leverage Zimbra as Web frontend for its collab server, Oracle has surely provided a powerful web client to all of its Beehive customers.
To my knowledgs, product management has no current plans to further enhance the web client, nor to deploy future versions of Zimbra on top of Beehive.
There are quite a few enhancement requests pending for Zimbra. Here are my favourite ones:
ER 12570523: NEED OPTION TO SELECT TEAM WORKSPACE CONTACTS FROM NEW EMAIL COMPOSE WINDOW
ER 8817293: UNABLE TO MOVE A PERSONAL WORKSPACE FOLDER INTO A TEAM WORKSPACE LINK IN ZIMBRA
ER 10634736: SUPPORT FOR MOVING FOLDERS BETWEEN PERSONAL WORKSPACE AND TEAM WORKSPACE
ER 9901377: ZIMBRA SEARCH IN LINKED FOLDER IS NEEDED AS SUPPORTED FEATURE
ER 11890869: SUPPORT OF ZIMBRA MOBILE WEB CLIENT
If you agree that Oracle should revise its decision not to further develop the Zimbra web client, please second these enhancement requests through Oracle support.
    Thanks, Tom

yesterday I used Beehive Zimbra with Android mobile for the 1st time (our policy does not allow external IMAP),
and I was brought back to the impression that Beehive would definitely benefit from the implementation of
ER 11890869: SUPPORT OF ZIMBRA MOBILE WEB CLIENT
Even with Quarter HD (960, ×, 540) resolution you cannot properly operate the classic Zimbra web client without getting crazy!
Please, all: do consider seconding this ER in MOS!

  • Dynamic web-client for WebService

    Hi All,
I want to create a generic Web Client for various in-house webservices.
The page to prepare and submit SOAP request to the WebService should be dynamically formed according to the WSDL, so that I dont have to write new html/jsp page for each new WebService.
Can you suggest any library to achieve this?
    Thanks in Advance..

  • Clients for Oracle XE?

I have downloaded and installed oracle express edition on my windows xp. I am using it to learn Oracle. I see that you can execute queries through the web interface using the menu SQL commands. Also you can connect to it using 'SQL command line' program.
I am wondering is there some more user friendly client with which I can connect to the Oracle database and execute queries and pl/sql?
I saw something like iSQL*Plus but I do not know from where to download it?
    I downloaded files from here
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/oci/instantclient/instantclient.html
but they are only zips with dlls and jars in them. I do not know what to do with them?
How can i download and install this iSQL*Plus or other user-friendly client for Oracle?
I know my question is probably very lame but thanks in advance... :)

Any client that can interact with Oracle's Networking protocol - often called SQL*Net or Oracle Networking - can be used. In the past it was necessary to download this and use a complex install and configuration to get Oracle Networking up and running.
The 'Instant Client' is mainly a much simplified Oracle Networking component that sits on the database 'client' machine and acts as a bridge between most 'Oracle Networking'-aware ap[plications ans the database.  As such it is an 'instant setup for the client', and it is easy to understand your confusion.
In fact, any ODBC aware client will generally work if the correct ODBC configuration and drivers are obtained - these will 'talk to the database' perhaps using the 'Instant Client'.   Thus, even MS Access or Excel could be used.
My personal preference is SQL*Plus, followed closely by SQL Developer.  SQL Developer is GUI oriented even though it still requires typing, rather than painting, the SQL statements.
However, becoming comfortable with typing the commands, in conjunction with books like the O'Reilly 'Mastering Oracle SQL', unleashes a [u]lot more power than typical 'graphical filters and joiners' are able to accomplish. The Oracle SQL language is absolutely amazing, if one takes the time to learn it..

  • Configuring Web Services for Oracle XML DB

    Hi all...
I think I need some help one this subject....
We have a 10G Release 2 Oracle single instance ( not RAC) install on a Linux Redhat v5.3 64 bit server. Are developers are user Visual Studio .Net and wnat to send xml files to a web service so that the xml file (containing data) can call a PL/SQL package (to be written) which will take the data out of the xml input file and insert rows into a prefined table within the instance. Now they have browsed the web and have come upon the following links...
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28369/xdb_web_services.htm
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28369/xdb22pro.htm#i1026724
Currently, within the database I looked at the schema XDB and have unlocked the account and connected as the user XDB. There are some 680 objects in the following groups...
    SQL> select object_type, count(*) from dba_objects where owner='XDB' group by object_type;
    OBJECT_TYPE COUNT(*)
    SEQUENCE 2
    PROCEDURE 5
    OPERATOR 8
    LOB 334
    LIBRARY 12
    PACKAGE 20
    PACKAGE BODY 17
    XML SCHEMA 25
    TYPE BODY 5
    TRIGGER 12
    TABLE 36
    INDEX 51
    FUNCTION 5
    INDEXTYPE 2
    VIEW 2
    TYPE 144
    16 rows selected.
Now in the links above it mentions that the xdbconfig.xml needs to be altered etc. However, I have searched the entire $ORACLE_HOME and there is no file definition of that description.
From a DBA prospective...what do I have to install on the Linux server? I assume from the Oracle Database 10g Companion Products I need to lay down Oracle HTTP Server in a new Oracle home as the first step...or not? Does the HTML DB need to be installed as well?
And for Configuring Web Services for Oracle XML DB...what else has to be installed? And from what product line?
    Thanks in Advance....
    Cheers

    Hi Marco...
First of all ...thanks for the reply.
I followed the link and the infor in that web page. However, there were a few things that did not work....

    ==========
ORACLE DATABASE 10g EXPRESS EDITION LICENSE AGREEMENT..
    ==========
    The other browser test ftp://localhost:2100/
    did not find any page?
    2. Then I went onto running (as the sysdba) the pl/sql to enable the ORAWSV Entry Service
however it error out. So I did a describe on DBMS_XDB and the function deleteServlet does not appear
then I had a look and this link to > http://www.liberidu.com/blog/?p=471
was for 11G and the other link > http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28369.pdf
    was for 11G.
    However, we are on 10G

The link provided just goes to the client, which is
far too large to transfer over my VPN connection to
a remote host. The alternative is the 'instant client'. You MIGHT be able to use that.

Given that this seems like a recent upgrade, was this working before the upgrade to 11.1.1.4?
I would check that the Print Server was reconfigured after the upgrade and that the correct version of ghostscript* is used, as well as making sure adobe is installed on the FR server and client machines.
*You can check out the requirements here:  http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-foundation/hyperion-supported-platforms-085957.html
** Also make sure the correct ghostscript version matches the os version - x86 or x64.

  • Web Services for Oracle 8i

Is there any means for the Oracle 8i Platform to implement a Webservice to
access Business Logic in stored precedures?
We were evaluating IONA's XML Collaboration Suite and their Oracle Adaptor
but we are not satisfied with the level of control the adaptor provides.
    Do you have any suggestions?
    Best regards,
    Andreas

Yes, you can publish stored procedures as Web services. Two approaches:
    1. Check out the new Web services sample that came out the other day, example two where SQLJ is used to wrap a Java class as a stored procedure, the connection is then wired into the generated class and finally it is published as a Java Web service using Oracle9i JDeveloper 9.0.2. See:
    http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/tech/java/web_services/
and look at the Tax Calculator viewlet/code.
    2. This is essentially the same way that the OC4J PL/SQL Web service samples work too (using SQLJ to generate a Java PL/SQL proxy), but the OC4J sample (url below), provides a more parametric way to pass the connection information to the proxy by using a parameter in the web.xml file. Check out:
    http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/oc4j/how-to-web-services.zip
See the readme and work with the sample in plsqlws.zip
This one is a both better and worse from a developers perspective compared to the first Oracle9i Jdeveloper oriented example. The good part, depending on your perspective, is that it is all command line based (some people like this, some people don't) and uses the longer term approach to publishing stored procedures as Web services for Oracle9iAS with the parameters passed in via the web.xml. The bad part is the example is a little hard to follow because many of the pieces are already created for you rather than explaining how they were created. The first example at least shows pretty much all the steps but doesn't quite elegantly solve the connection problem that the OC4J sample does.
In July/August, Oracle9i JDeveloper will be updated to publish stored procedures using the Oracle9iAS infrastructure (basically the web.xml fix) ... although once you understand it, it is fairly easy to manually do it inside of JDeveloper.
    Hope this gets you going.
    Mike.

  • 64-bit Instant Client for Oracle 9i

Based on what I've read here, it looks like there are no Instant Clients for prior to 10.1.

Yes, and yes. Except that the database should be 9.2, as connections to 9.0 are desupported.
