@WHERE IS CREATIVE SUPPORT AND FIRMWARE FOR THEIR PRODUCTS??I swear I can't believe Creative is getting away with what they are doing. I can't tell you the amount of people that are infuriated with this company. Creative seems to be more concerned with releasing a hundred versions of the same type of mp3 player instead of supporting the mp3 players they've already released. I have owned multiple Creative products including soundcards and mp3 players. The lastest one- the Creative X-FI(with wireless lan) is one of the glitchiest players I've ever owned yet their last firmware update was 2 years ago- 2 YEARS!!
!!! I've had it with this ridiculous company. They would be the envy of Apple if they could only get their customer support together instead they'd much rather watch their customer base slowly evaporate.

I TOTALLY agree. Not only does their product support blow, so does their customer support. I can't find anywhere to contact these people regarding my warranty return status. I have typed the RMA info in for 3 days now and all I receive is an internal error! WTF :angry:
The contact us link is just another link back the same options on the page. SO "contact us" really means "Good luck clicking around in a circle until you give up." I really hope that they send me my product back, lord knows I can't track its status anymore.
This will be the LAST thing I ever purchase from Creative until I've heared that they have gotten their act together.

Why no new firmware for E71 (product code:0569371)

Now, normally I would not care but over the last couple of months everyone keeps blogging about the new firmware for their E71.
I have paid a full price for mine in the US (Newegg) so that I would not be constrained by some provider limitations.
Well, now I find out that everyone else in the world, including the US, but that one product code (0569371) has received their updates, some even two and I am still stuck on the original 1.0 release.
Can anyone one over there at Nokia explains this to me like a 4-year-old, why does Nokia punishes owners of this particular product?

Having exchanged a few polite emails with NA Nokia devission I got this today:
"Nokia is consistently working to improve our product services and realizes the software update is important to you. I regret to inform you, that I do not have a release date for the firmware update to your Nokia E71 device. Please continue to monitor the Nokia Software Updater (NSU) for updates for your device. "
So, I have decided to go on a mission to provide potential North America buyers of the Nokia phones sold in US about the support they can expect. Do I think this will help? I doubt it, but what else can I do? Class action suite?

New Firmware for Zen. Where is

I remember during Christmas Break, when I first got my Zen (8gig, now upgraded to 6), I saw new firmware updates every week. Its been nearly 4 months without a firmware update. I liked the new features they kept adding, but stopping suddenly at only copying items in my SD card to my Zen and seeing ONLY my photos is NOT the best Creative can do. I love my Zen, but surely, someone in Creative's team can fix something about the Zen freezing (you know, fixed by using the paperclip reset ) or add more SD card functionality

Re the integrated SD question. I don't know if it's deception, per se, but it kinda felt that way to me too. I don't think its an unreasonable expection that that you would be able to access the stuff on the card through the regular menu (music, etc.). I've seen a variety of players with expandable storage and Creative's is the only one I've seen that keeps the card memory separate. It's just different, and not what many people expect.
Another thing that is different and unexpected about this player is the faulty "resume" functionality. Oh, it will remember where you left off all right, and start there the next time you turn on the player, as long as the next time isn't more than 2 hours later. Overdri've media includes the Zen on its list of compatible players (one of the reasons I bought it), but it's only compatible in the sense that it will play the DRM WAV files. This flaw in the resume function and the fact that a bookmark loads only the single file containing the bookmark, i.e., it doesn't remember that the file you bookmarked is part of a playlist, makes it a frustrating experience.
I know most people use the player for music, but the audiobook & podcast world has been getting more popular for the last several years, and it would seem like Creative would want to to take those uses -- and users -- into consideration when designing firmware for their products. I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to return Zen in favor of the **other mp3**, but I certainly won't recommend it to anyone if they plan to use it for anything other than music.

But for other 6120 phones last firmware version is: 5.11, 4.21 ...
When we get new firmware for 0555926 product id phones???????? This is discrimination...

If the nokia software updater doesn't allow you to update then your phone is most likely network branded or network locked. Most networks don't bother approving new updates leaving their customers stuck with old firmware.

Firmware for e51

will they be releasing a new firmware for e 51? rumors have it that the e61 has another new update. it seems that a new e series phone will be out before the new firmware......

Surely some people on these forums are testers or in the know? No one has heard anything about a new firmware version?
The bugs are so widespread that the they'll never be fully resolved in one firmware version anyway, why won't Nokia at least get something out to at least keep us using the phone.
Poor QA of the current version and then 8+ months for a subsequent release is unacceptable. I shudder to think how poorly the new version will have been tested and I wonder how many new bugs their fixes will introduce that we'll need to live with for another year.

Unable To Repair/Update Firmware for a Creative Nomad Jukebox

I've been trying for the past...3 or 4 hours to get my player to work, but it simply refuses to work =P. I sent the problem into Creative, but haven't gotten a response for a couple days now. So, here's a copy-paste of what I sent in that e-mail. If you can think of anything that might help, please don't hesitate to post! I really need your help on this one!
My player's hard dri've recently died, and I received
a replacement from the original store (a CompUSA).
However, my Firmware for the device has failed. I
tried the firmware upgrade for my Zen, but after
a certain number of tries, I gave up. Here is the
list of steps that I followed.
On Zen: Click "Reload OS", let it run, it says
run the firmware upgrader now.
On Computer: "You cannot install this firmware
update with your player's current drivers using
the SB394 connector. To update your player's
firmware, this application will temporarily
replace the current drivers and restore them after
the installation is complete. Continue
installation?", I click Yes. Then it says to
disconnect, and re-connect. I do it.
It shows my version (.2.0), and I'm upgrading/
repairing it to .2.02. When I click "Upgrade", a
warning message pops up and says:
"Your player cannot start up properly. Please
reboot your player and run this application again.
I've done this at least 0 times, and nothing changes. My player is a Nomad Jukebox Zen, the one with a FireWire connection, and like I said,
I've tried this at least 0 times with the same results. Is there a process to completely remove
the firmware on the device, then reinstall it,
or to roll it back or something? Any other ideas
to fix this problem is needed as well.

Firmware for Sony Bravia. What?

I was planning to buy a Sony Bravia LCD HDTV, 32" from Best Buy. I was reading the reviews and a lot of owners are saying that I would need a Sony "firmware update for video/audio" that can be downloaded from Sony. What exactly are they talking about? I'm not too TV/computer literate, and downloading/ flashplayer firmware might not be something that I would want to tangle with.

Since alot of the new tvs have what were once computer components within them, such as mother boards, the component may be in need of updates in order for the tv to run properly. The manufacturers will create these updates in order to keep your tv running at its best. The updates are to keep your tvs operations running smoothly. There are also firmware updates for certain blu-ray disc players as well.
The updating of the firmware on the tv can be fairly simple if you have a newer computer/laptop that has an easily accessible usb port. You would check the tv manufacturer's website for any firmware updates listed under your tv model number and if you were to find an update available download it onto a flash drive and connect the flash drive to the usb port on the tv. From there you would go through a few menus in order to get the update to load onto the tv.
Manufacturer customer support can often walk you through applying the updates to the tv.

Yes under singapore downloads page. Firmware version is .00.02 It is kinda of surprising the firmware has not undergo any updates since the version that came bundled with the player in the box. Zen firmware is less buggy than others?
Make me wonder are all firmware of all models written by the same engineer team? If it is not, I guess I know why certain model firmware always have problems and updates whereas some remain unchanged since launch :smileytongue:

When you upgraded to OS X 10.10 did you uninstall the old HP software and reinstall the software for 10.10? If not, please follow this Uninstalling the Printer Software to get the software removed and then download this HP Officejet Pro 8600 series Full Feature Software and Drivers to reinstall with.
If the issue persists after that, are you able to start the scan from the computer as opposed to the from of the printer? If you're not sure how to do that this How To Scan document will help (even though it says it's for 10.9, it will still help).

I'd be happy to get you the proper drivers as well, your printer just requires a slightly different approach as it doesn't have the full HP software available for it.
Please follow this Installing Your HP Printer Driver and Software for Mac OS X document and it will explain how to get the printer properly installed.
After that, have a look through this How to Scan document (under Scanning Without HP Software) for any scanning questions.

Mine stuck at 100.34.20.keeps rebooting now and them.i dont think there can be a bigger bug.

Cannot even find on support page.
I tried installing google-apps but everything crashed too, gmail crashes , gtalk crashes , that sucks.

The Lenovo A3800-d is meant to be sold an used only in China.It's a China only model and as a consequence dosen't/won't have a official ROW (rest of the World) firmware.
Chinese models are only in Chinese&English, don't have GAPPS/GMS(Google services like the Play Store/Not allowed in CN) and are full of Chinese apps.
Unfortunately at the moment I'm not aware of a unofficial ''custom'' multilingual ROM/firmware for the A3800-D model.
Also as far as I know the model is TD-SCDMA 3G/TD-LTE 4G = 3G/4G is meant to work only in CN with a certain local provider.That's why it's got the ''China Mobile'' logo on the back.
I know this isn't the answer you were looking for but I haven't got a better one....
