Re-Validation Required

I have received a text asking me to re-validate my account. However, I cannot remember my BB password. Can you remind me how to reset it on a BB Curve 8520?

Hello !
Connect your BlackBerry Smartphone through USB cable to your desktop/laptop.
Now open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Now go to Restore and make it to Default Factory settings.
This will erase all your data from your device and will enable to use it as a new OS.
Hope this resolves your Problem!

Is this a scam?? It says I must confirm my hotmail account password on my BB before April 5 to continue sending or receiving messages from this account... Anyone know anything about this? Thanks!
Solved!
Go to Solution.

If you know your Blackberry username and password for the email setup, you can go to www.blackberry.com/go/vzw - otherwise you will need to make sure you havent hidden any icons on the home screen, go to Options, Adv Options, Host Routing Table, press menu key and re-register your device with the wireless network....
Let me know if that helps you along,....

• Windows Live Re-validation

Every 90 days Windows Live™ email account users are required to re-validate their accounts on their BlackBerry® smartphones to continue sending and receiving email messages from these accounts on their BlackBerry smartphones. Each user will receive a notification approximately 3 days prior to the end of the 90-day re-validation period, depending on when the account was last re-validated. Many customers will be required to revalidate during the first and second week of September 2009
A user that fails to successfully re-validate the Windows Live email account prior to the end of the 90-day re-validation period will not be able to send or receive messages from the account with the BlackBerry smartphone until that account is re-validated.
Please refer to Knowledge Base article KB13137, which provides information on how to revalidate a Windows Live email account and is publicly accessible at www.blackberry.com/btsc/kb13137.

• How to validate required fields before executing menu item ("Save As") using cutom Javascript?

Hi,
Sorry, I am new to PDF Development. I tried creating PDF using Acrobat XI Pro. During creation, I have encountered issues in running custom JavaScript. The requirement is to validate all the required fields before saving the PDF. I tried using the following scripts to validate the said required fields. But, it's not working.
Option 1: If the field is null, a message box will appear.
if(this.getfield("textbox") = null){
app.alert("required");
else {app.execMenuItem("SaveAs");}
Option 2: If the field is required, a message box will appear.
var f = this.getField("textbox");
f.required = true;
if(f = true)
app.alert('required');
else
app.execMenuItem("SaveAs");
The scripts mentioned above are not working. I wanted to validate the required fields before saving the PDF.
In addition, I tried validating each field using the following script:
f = getField(event.target.name)
if (f.value.length == 0)
f.setFocus()
//Optional Message - Comment out the next line to remove
app.alert("This field is required. Please enter a value.")
When I open the PDF, the script is working. However, when the message box pops out, the "OK" button is not working as expected. The message box is not closing. I tried opening the form in a site in different Java versions (like 7-11 and 7-67). It's working in version 7-67. I tried upgrading the Java version from 7-11 to 7-67. Still, it doesn't work.
I would appreciate your feedback on this matter.

If you set the fields as required, then when the user hits the print button you could run this script:
var txt = form1.execValidate();
if (txt == true){
print command
This code assumes that the root node of your form is form1. Also ensure you put a message into the Empty Message parameter for each field that you want to mark s required.

• How to validate multiple controls using a single Validator?

I am trying to do an HourValidator because Flex doesn't have
this, so i am extending from the Validator class. I read in the
Creating and extending Flex components document the
following:
"A validator can validate more than one field at a time. For
example, you could create a custom
validator called NameValidator to validate three input
controls that represent a person’s first,
middle, and last names.
To create a validator that examines multiple fields, you can
either define properties on the
validator that let you specify the multiple input fields, as
does the Flex DateValidator class
class, or you can require that the single item passed to the
validator includes all of the fields to
be validated."
So according to the document i need to define properties so i
defined 4 properties:
startHourSource: the input control containing the starting
hour
startHourProperty: the control's property (in this case the
text property)
endHourSource: the input control containing the end hour
endHourProperty: the control's property (in this case the
text property)
The thing is that when i call the doValidation of the
superclass (to validate the required property) it does return a
validation error but it doesn't mark the input control with the red
frame that indicates there's a validation error. I assume that is
because the
source and
property properties of the validator are null but that's ok
because i am not using them, instead i am using the 4 properites
mentioned above.
So what do i need to do or override so the red frame appears
in the input controls??

Yeah i already know that, but when you use the doValidation
method, which does the requiredField validation, by default marks
the input control with the red frame, so that's why i am trying to
do, doing it so it will do it by default.
For example, try this:
<mx:TextInput id="test"/>
<mx:Validator id="validateTest" source="{test}"
property="text" required="true" requiredFieldError="The field is
empty"/>
If you do
validateTest.validate( ) and the textinput is empty, it will
mark it with the red frame by default, that's the kind of behave i
want for my HourValidator, but if it is not possible then the
solution you suggested would be the only one to do this.

• Using CFFORM to validate

Hi everybody,
I'm using ColdFusion's form validation (cfform), but would
like to know if there's a way to change the generic message that
Codfusion throws at run time. The message generated by CF is: Error
in balance text.
This is kind of cryptic and instead I would like the message
to say: Please use numbers only!
Despite the fact that I have written this message in the
CFINPUT field, I still get the above generic message.
<cfinput type="Text" name="balance" message="Please use
numbers only." validate="integer" required="No" size="5"
id="al_itas_balance" validateAt="onSubmit">
Here's a snippet of the JS at run time:
//form element al_itas_balance 'INTEGER' validation checks
if (!_CF_checkinteger(_CF_this['al_itas_balance'].value,
false))
_CF_onError(_CF_this, "al_itas_balance",
_CF_this['al_itas_balance'].value, "Error in balance text.");
_CF_error_exists = true;
Here's my code:
<cfinput type="Text" name="balance" message="Please use
numbers only." validate="integer" required="No" size="5"
id="al_itas_balance" validateAt="onSubmit">
Does anyone have an idea of customizing the error
message?

This is very strange.
Your code works when I run it.
And this is js I get in my source code.
//form element balance 'INTEGER' validation checks
if (!_CF_checkinteger(_CF_this['balance'].value, false))
_CF_onError(_CF_this, "balance", _CF_this['balance'].value,
"Please use numbers only.");
_CF_error_exists = true;

• Technical objects required to be mandatory in service contract VA41

Hi
I've got exactly the same issue as the one described in the thread.
Technical objects required to be mandatory in service contract VA41
Unfortunately for me it has never been answered, and seems to be quite old now.
Does anybody knows how it could be set or developed?
Regards
Olivier

Through standard configuration, it is not possible. However, you can try with any of the following exits
USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP or
USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT
in the program MV45AFZZ where your technical team needs to validate those required fields as mandatory which is quite possible through coding.

Hi,

Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to set the other field required if the dropdown list value is 2.
I suggest you can use Jquery Validate Plugin to achieve it. You can place the Jquery code under the PlaceHolderMain tag in the New/Edit form page.
Here is a code snippet for your reference:
More information:
b: {
required: {
depends: function(element){
return $("#dropdownlist").val()=="2"
c: {

return $("#dropdownlist").val()=="2"
d: {
required: {
depends: function(element){
return $("#dropdownlist").val()=="2"
e: {

• Passing null/empty values from a actionscript VO to a Coldfusion ORM object

This is the situation.
If you have an actionscript VO that binds to a Coldfusion ORM object via the RemoteClass metadata and some of the values are not set, null, or empty strings and you pass it from Flex to Coldfusion then the Coldfusion deserialization barfs saying the values are not acceptable date values (for type="date") or valid emails (for validation="email") or other such validations, even if required="false" on the property.
For instance, if you have the following actionscript VO:
package vo
[RemoteClass(alias="com.companyname.Person")]
[Bindable]
public class Person
public var person_id:Number;
public var last_name:String;
public var first_name:String;
public var email:String;
public var created_date:date;
public function Person() {}
And you have the corresponding Coldfusion component:
<cfcomponent displayname="person" output="false"
alias="com.companyname.Person"
schema="dbo" persistent="true"
table="PERSON">
<cfproperty name="person_id" type="numeric" fieldtype="id" validate="integer" required="true" column="PERSON_ID"/>
<cfproperty name="last_name" type="string" column="LAST_NAME" required="true"/>
<cfproperty name="first_name" type="string" required="true" column="FIRST_NAME"/>
<cfproperty name="email" type="string" validate="email" required="false" column="EMAIL"/>
<cfproperty name="date_created" type="date" required="false" column="DATE_CREATED"/>
</cfcomponent>
Then if you pass the actionscript VO as is to Coldfusion, the deserialization complains that you do not have a valid email or a valid date for date_created. This is bad, bad, bad. Essentially if you have a validation of certain types (email being one) or a date property, or probably some other cases, then you essentially can not make it not required, it automatically makes it required because the Coldfusion serializer considers null/empty values as invalid dates or emails. But the serializer should not care for values that are not required, there has to be a way to pass null/empty values to these data types, but apparently there's not. If you pass an empty string ("") you still have the same problem. I know Coldfusion does not have null values, but there has to be a way to do this, otherwise it defeats the purpose of having required="false" and some kind of validation on the property.
There seems to be two ways around it. One is to override the implicit setters for the properties on the Coldfusion side and check for 0 length values yourself, then set the property if it is not, or create your own validation routine. I ended up creating my own validation function since I didn't want to have to write a setter function for everyone of these cases and I can pass back user friendly validation messages.
Have other people encountered this problem? How have you gotten around it? Thanks.

I realize that I didn't clarify that I am using ColdFusion
for getting the data. This class was generated by the Create CFC
wizard in Flex Builder.
package com.generated
[Managed]
[RemoteClass(alias="components.generated.clients.Clients")]
public class Clients
public var clientid:Number = 0;
public var clientfirstname:String = "";
public var clientlastname:String = "";
public var clientaddress1:String = "";
public var clientaddress2:String = "";
public var clientcity:String = "";
public var clientstate:String = "";
public var clientzip:String = "";
public var clientphone:String = "";
public var clientemail:String = "";
public function Clients()
}

Looks like a known workaround to this issue is to wrap the Flex object in an array.
The ColdFusion CFC will accept that as an array, with the first an only element being a struct, which is the object you built in Flex.

So i purchased a template from Template Monster and im having a little trouble with the contact form. The server that im uploading it to is a privite server that the company owns. • Programming logic, passing data from a page to another

Hi,
I just began with developing with APEX 4.1.1, and I think I don't get how I should use it efficiently, I am more used to C-like programming.
I have a table which contains the state of some electricity meters taken at some non-regularly spaced dates. I want to make a chart of the electricity consumption, e.g for each month. This (I think) implies that the application must do that (I used this logic for the same application made with php and sqlite and it worked):
- User chooses a meter
- Application tells him the available range of dates and the mean interval between measurements
- User chooses the range of dates and the interval
- Application verifies that the range of dates is valid (not outside the real data)
- Interpolate the state of the meters at the requested regular interval
- Calculate the consumption for each interval (simply a difference)
- Draw the chart
For now, I created some procedures which should pass a custom data type containing all the meta-data about the chart and a PL/SQL table containing the actual data to be charted, but I'm stuck at the point of interacting with the user (meaning writing the output of the procedures on a page and passing them to the next procedure and also charting that pl/sql table).
Maybe should I create a temporary table ? But of what I read, this is a "real" table stored on the disk, and I just need this data once (and it is a small dataset, at most 20 points or so) for drawing a chart. This table should also be specific to the chart currently being created, it could happen that the same user or different users make multiple charts at the same time (like in two firefox tabs).
I hope my post is not too confused..
Ben

APEX is intended for the development of database centric applications. It's a physical implementation of Tom Kyte's philosophy of database application development—possibly replacing Java with JavaScript ;-) .
To use it efficiently you need to stop thinking procedurally in C-like terms and think in terms of the set operations that SQL uses effectively.

You should be aiming to collect and validate the required parameters in APEX session state values and use the built-in charting capability with SQL data sources that use these parameter values in query predicates.
If you really can't generate the chart series from queries run on the original table, generate the chart data using an APEX collection rather than a "PL/SQL table" (preferred terminology is "collection type", but it's even better to specifically say "associative array", "nested table" or "varying array") or temporary database table.

However there are issues when using them in APEX, so APEX collections are the preferred method for temporary, session-based storage.
