Yes, X1 VOD not working told once again tech must come out, loss of service because internal modem not able to accept weak signal strength. They need to improve infrastructure. They are not willing to compensate us. When it works its great. Keep it working Comcast to make it better not just to band aid a problem. Be a leader not a follower Comcast!

    I have not been able to get onto itunes to check my account or purchase anything for about a year now.  Got an Alienware system with latest Windows.  When I pull up itunes I can access my old music but cannot access my account to purchase anything new.  Just reinstalled itunes and it still does not work.  I am ready to just quit.  Anyone else having this issue?  Solutions?

    If this is an Alienware system, the most likely culprit is the Bigfoot Networks LSP as per the following document:
    Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
    Head to the Downloads and Drivers page at Dell for your particular model of Alienware. Look for available updates for your BigFoot networking device. If you update those drivers, does that give you back your Store access?

    No this was absolutely of no help what so ever!!!!1I have had this issue before and it was also a nightmare. I don't understand why you have to go thru so much pain until you can talk to a real person. I don't have 48 hours. I use this app to make money. I can't update it, so I can't use it, all because I can't update my info, which is clearly on the Apple side. Not my bank (like they first want to say), not me, I know who I am, but it must be something on apple's side. And to wait 48 hours for an email response to tragic .   • I have several aps that are loading for two months now. I am afraid to erase them. What do I di to let them finish reload? One of them, is Skype and if I delete it it says it will delete everything I have on Skype. Any suggestions?

    Does anyone know how I can get four never ending loading aps that never finish loading? One of them is Skype. The other one is a gps ap for Spain.
    I don't want to delete them and re install for fear of losing all. I already lost hundreds of photos and many aps when my son by accodent did a sinc to the cloud and all was lost, went nowehere. I have not done any more sincs since. I just wnat these ps to finsh loading on my phone since I wantto use skype again in my phone.

    There is nothing wrong with the OS update.
    Delete ALL your email accounts.
    Restart Playbook
    Put the accounts back and ensure they are all set with PUSH ON.  Manual (push off) will burn battery.
    Similarly delete your wifi connections and add back when required. 
    Turn off wifi is not connected to wifi. 
    Any "hunting for connection" in email or wifi will burn up battery.

    I'm having the same issue.  Just hooked up a Mac Mini and running the internet just fine over wifi, but Facetime isn't working.  I'm going to try resetting my router in the morning.

  • 180.14 pounds for two months access? Something wen...

    Moved house on Dec 15th last year. Was just supposed to be an account transfer to new house but somehow this got cocked up and a new account had to be made.
    Paid 114.19 in Dec for this quarter that we are in on old account.
    Was told to pay a further 65.94 for the new account. So far 180.14 paid into the account as of early jan and not even hooked up yet.
    I was without internet from Dec 15th till Jan 14th so roughly a month.
    Then i get a refund for 74.95 bringing the total down to 105.19 that i paid for two months access so far.
    Now i am getting another bill demanding another 31.25 for line rental and broadband for FEB 14th - MAR 15th. So what was that 105.18 for then? For one months access? I paid in the 114.19 for this quarter in DEC and was without access for a whole month out of this quarter.
    Something is seriously wrong and i am owed some funds. Cant deal with indians in india who have no authority to do anything other than to stall and procrastinate so voicing my concerns here for any an all to read.
    Only monaing about the bill, mind you. The uptime and actual service provided has been excellent and the best i have seen since i joined the net in 1994. I hardly have any downtime at all and that is really nice to have.

  • My unibody macbook (latest 2010 model) wont connect to my home wifi. When it does which is rare, it is very slow. I have tried everything from renewing DCHP lease and such. This has been going on for two months.

    It will not connect but my other apple devices can connect and the wifi works very well. I have moved houses to my house wifi isnt the same as the old one. Also, i have to type in the password every time even if i click autosave. Sometimes it also says invalid password or connection timeout. This has been going on for two months and is getting really annoying. I've tried most of the solutions listed on other discussions, none of them work. Any other tips? Thank you. Ps i've had this macbook for 3+ years

  • Slow Speeds, no phone for two months, extortionate...

    Last summer, in preparation for Infinity (or so we were told), work was carried out at our local cabinet.  Most houses in the street lost their phone for days, weeks or even months.
    Thankfully we have a second line in the house dating back to dial up days and the broadband is on that line so broadband was unaffected.
    Our phone was dead for two months. I phoned BT several times a week during the outage and was told each time that they couldn't help me but promised someone would ring back. We made probably ten to twenty phone calls, and never received even one call back. Before you think that they couldn’t return the call because the line was dead, of course they had another number where they could reach us!
    After a couple of months the phone just started working again. Unsurprisingly we were not informed that it had been fixed, or why it was out for so long or anything like that. Never heard anything from any customer service representative, never received any compensation or an apology.
    A week ago our phone went dead again. Phoned up and since this time there was a question that it might be an internal fault, BT were suddenly extremely interested in fixing it. BT engineer visited, replaced a meter of internal wiring that had become damaged and was gone in under thirty minutes – price £380! Yes THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY POUNDS. Some of us have to work months to save that much. Obviously BT are very willing to fix things when there’s money to be made and you can (in theory) get someone else to fix it. When it’s a fault in their street cabinets that only they can fix they don’t seem quite so keen on fixing the problem, no wonder!
    If the man had arrived in a plain white van instead of one with BT printed on the side you would almost expect to see him on an episode of BBC "Rogue Traders". 
    A year on and Infinity is still not available to us, although people only a few doors down the street can get it. Every time we’ve enquired we’ve been told it will become available to us within the next month or two, but that’s been going on for a couple of years now, they just keep pushing back the date. I don’t anticipate it anytime soon, so in the meanwhile will fall back on the regular BT ADSL line, which in the last couple of weeks has halved in speed. Unrelated to the fault on the first line, remember, because it’s a different line.
    Of course I don’t live in the middle of nowhere. There’s been broadband here for twelve years. Twenty-five minutes on the train from central London and even the (ex) council houses here have Porsches parked in front. This is a wealthy area, which doesn’t really benefit the poor locals like me, but you would think we would get Infinity at some point.
    No phone for two months, never being called back, charged £380 for a meter of cable and now getting half the broadband speed I was two or three years ago.
    BT probably call this progress.

    if you would like some assistance from the forum with your conenction speed then please can you post the adsl stats from your router may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter 192.168.0.1) and run btspeedtester (MAC users may have problems) bt speedtester and post the results .
    are you connected directly via a filter to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Is the master the only phone socket in your home?
    Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
    Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

    I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
    At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
    The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
    I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
    You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
