Re-work mapping in SAP B1

Hi all
How we can map the re-work in SAP B1 like
I had released the production order for 100 qty with x-item and made the report completion for 100 qty
after that i came to know that 20 has to be reworked which means 20 of the x-item has to issue to production for rework and 20 has to be received from the production after rework.
functionally the header item and the detail item of the production has to be x-item itself(i.e.) issuing and receiving of the same item.

Try to use rework warehouse as a location for rework and if you want it recorded in a specific/certain GL, you must define it in COA firsts. using good issue and good receipts and do not forget to record PO no. in the remarks (comments field). So, when rework happens, receipt it in the rework warehouse using good receipts and issuing it from production warehouse and vice versa.
BTw, what type of company you are currently facing ? Is it assembly type ? steel manufacturing or what ? You must also provide info whether you use backflush or manual.

Hi,
I want to identify what db2 application(s), maps to particular SAP work process.(when I mean db2 application I mean entry in "list applications" command output)
Both db2 "list applications" and SAP work process lists PIDS of processes they belog.
I want to find what db2 process maps to particular sap work process ? (I'm not sure is it one-to-one or one-to-many)

Using the DBACOCKPIT / ST04 (DB02 ... just leads you to a different branch of the DBACOCKPIT) gives you the option to view the mapping from SAP level.
The DB2 facility to use is the application snapshot
db2 get snapshot for applications on <dbname>
which is not very handy to use.
Another way that can be used from DBACOCKPIT (see Diagnostic -> SQL Commands) and database level is SQL - in V9.1 and V9.5 e.g. use
select agent_id, client_pid, coord_agent_pid from sysibmadm.snapappl_info
In v8 (as of fp9), you also can use SQL - just the view names are different. The beauty of this approach is that you easily can taylor the query to provide exactly the info you need. I suggest to consult the documentation on available views and routines.

How to Map in SAP ?

My client is Automobile industry.In the presales process my company delivers the goods to the dealer.On transit the goods are damaged.Instead of returning the goods the dealer him self repairs the goods and sends the credit memo to the company.The company will send the engineer for inspection and give the clearance certificate for the dealer.With reference to this we have to create the credit the customer.
How to Map it SAP....?

Dear Prasad,
As you r not taking d goodS back (or dealer is not sending them back) thus it's not a case of a Returns. Also there is no issue with d invoice either thus even Invoice Corrrection Request will not b generated.
Thus it's a simple case of creating a Credit Memo Request for the required amount i.e the amount claimed 2 b spent by d dealer. This will obviously have a block which can b removed by d engineer who went for inspection (or some1else depending on d working of d organisation). Once the billing block is removed the dealer can b issued a Credit Memo in d usual way.

RuntimeException in Message-Mapping (com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRunti)

We are facing a very strange problem , during runtime we are facing the below mapping problem ,

But when we have downloaded the XML from SXMB_MONI and tested the mapping it works fine , only in the run time we are facing this problem , funny part is the same scenario worked fine yester day itself (end-to-end).

please chech whether the data in the input file is according to the format or not.
for this you go to sxmb_moni,take the input payload from the moni and test with that payload and you will come to lnow where is the error.

Work Flow- SAP Business Workflow
Purpose
SAP Business Workflow can be used to define business processes that are not yet mapped in the R/3 System. These may be simple release or approval procedures, or more complex business processes such as creating a material master and the associated coordination of the departments involved. SAP Business Workflow is particularly suitable for situations in which work processes have to be run through repeatedly, or situations in which the business process requires the involvement of a large number of agents in a specific sequence.
You can also use SAP Business Workflow to respond to errors and exceptions in other, existing business processes. You can start a workflow when predefined events occur, for example an event can be triggered if particular errors are found during an automatic check.
SAP provides several workflows that map predefined business processes. These workflows do not require much implementation. For an overview of these SAP workflows, refer to Workflow Scenarios in Applications.
Integration
SAP Business Workflow uses the existing transactions and functions of the R/3 System and does not change the functions. You can combine the existing functions of the R/3 System to form new business processes with SAP Business Workflow. The workflow system takes over control of the business processes. If you are already using SAP Organizational Management, you can use the organizational structure created there to have the relevant agents carry out the individual activities. It is possible to have an activity carried out by a position. This ensures that the respective occupiers of the position can carry out the individual activities during execution of the workflow. There are several Workflow Wizards to support you in the definition of workflows, with which you can create specific parts of a workflow. The Workflow Wizard Explorer gives you an overview of the existing Workflow Wizards.
In order to make the functions of the R/3 Systems available to a workflow, you use business objects, which you can define and analyze in the Business Object Builder. These business objects are made available to the workflow in reusable tasks. The Business Wizard Explorer gives you an overview of all existing tasks.
The end user receives information about the activities they are to carry out in their Business Workplace. This provides them with a central overview of all the activities that they are authorized to carry out. They can commence the activities from here.
Several tools are available to the workflow system administrator, with which they can control and analyze the current workflows. The workflow system administrator is notified of problems automatically by the system.
DATAFLOW-Data flow means flow of data from one module to another within a sap system.

Cardon credit mapping in SAP

There are two aspects of carbon demand - i) one required for Kyoto protocol ii) Getting voluntary carbon credits for CSR.
For meetign Kyoto Protocol - SAP offers jointly with TechniData the solution Environmental Compliance - which is used to collect and aggregate environmental measurements to establish the environmental footprint of a plant as a whole for example Power Generation.
For Carbon Foot Print in Supply Chain - SAP is working on a product called Green 2.0 which can give you environmental footprint ie. the footprint caused by an enterprise and the one caused by the supply chain.
As far as your post is concerned i.e., for getting carbon demand for Power Plant - as a whole I suggest using SAP Environmental Compliance to map the process, to calculate the material consumption and calculation of emissions based on material consumption data and finally creating reports for GHG reporting.

AMC mapping in SAP

I have working in Genset manufacturing project where the client wants the Installation,AMC & Warranty of Gesets to be mapped in SAP. Is there any special module to do this or can be mapped in the present modules.

Your business is fully clear. You sell gensets and provide after sales service for them. Though you sell the maintenance contracts the actual rendering of the service is done by a third party. They bill u and u bill ur customer in turn. Your process has a perfect solution in SAP - Customer Service module.
Maintain material code for the gensets. Either by model or group or whatever. But be there when ur MM consultant discusses what is being deemed as materials. Next, create equipments. Enter material code and serial number in the equipment master. So equipment no = mat. code + ser. no.
Next, create master warranty (BGM1) and enter your required conditions with AND/OR combination. it means warranty ends on 24 months or 2500 hrs of run time. Again, in the equipment maintain a counter with the characteristic of run time. Then, create a task list with operation with control key PM03. Enter related data such as vendor etc for that operation.
If you doing scheduled visits to check the equipment during the AMC then create a maintenance plan for the equipment and include that tasklist. The other alternative is customer approaches for genset failure. Then, create service order manually.
Quite a bit of work on hand for you. But the solution is there. And once configured and tested you will find it elegant.

Hi folks, one question:
We have our development close moved and now it is earlier than originally planned.
That means that we maybe can't finish our convenient API and you have to wait till we will release it - early 2015 is planned.
But there is another option:
Currently we have a API based on json. The developer has to create json and to transfer it to the Visual Business control.
This interface is more used as a low level API and we are developing on top the more convenient one. So all the features are the same.
It will stay stable & compatible in the future and you can build on it.
Do you want to use this interface?
Then I will publish the documentation.

How to deal with Job Work Scenario in SAP B1

Dear All ,
After purchasing material from one vendor the same has to sent for job work ( fabrication) , when the material complete from job work the cost of those material is increase . Please guide me for how to capture those additional cost in inventory.
Overall please brief me how to handle job work process in SAP B1.

While u do the purchasing of material please make a udf to denote that the item purchased are for job work u may prepare a udf or not depending upon ur system
then once the item is purchased make a warehouse in ur system and name it as job work and then do inventory transfer and once the job work is done again do inventory transfer with increased price that would include ur job work price
its worthwhile to chekc that in ur test database first and see if it fulfills ur concern or not

Hi Rao,
Go to sxmb_moni and open your response mapping and take the payload and test your mapping. It seems the value you are mapping to /ns0:MT_DAT_RES_02 is not there. Can you please check that. You need to make sure step 4 in this blog:

Your response always comes up with _response and your message type should be like that only. Also can you give your response mapping payload and the response message type here so that somebody can help you out if this didn't resolve your issue.

What is this error and how should I go about resolving it?

Hi,
The most probable reason is that your idoc has failed in the mapping step.
Take the xml payload of your message from SXMB_MONI and paste it the test tab of your Message Mapping.
Then you can run the mapping in the test tab of the message mapping, which will point you to the exact reason for the mapping failure.
