RE1000 nightmare when trying to estabilish a connection to WRT54GL

Hello.
I have a big problem with a brand new RE1000 I received today.
I unpacked it, plugged into power socket and began manual configuration over the Ethernet cable. And then the nightmare began...
But, before I start describing the problem - first some facts.
I have a WRT54GL router and several computers and printers connected to it, mostly via WiFi.
All machines have static IPs. DHCP is disabled. WiFi G-Only network is protected with WPA2-Personal (AES) security and broadcasts on channel 5 (2.432GHz). Normally I have MAC filter enabled, but I disabled it temporarily for the installation of the range expander.
The network is 192.168.0.0/27 with router using 192.168.0.1. Half of IP addresses from the pool are free.
Now, with my laptop, I configured RE1000 to use the first free static IP, which is 192.168.0.16. Set a proper submask of 255.255.255.224, gateway - to router's address (192.168.0.1), and addresses of both DNSs.
With all that set up, I've manually entered the wireless network information: my network SSID, WPA2-Personal AES and a passphrase.
But RE1000 won't connect to the network no matter what I do. It just says "Connecting" every time it auto-refreshes the page and after a while it simply says Down.
I've also tried to connect using the Site Survey, but with the same result.
In the logs I found this repeated message
[327] syslog: [INFO]WL_STA_AUTHO fail, f=4008
Wireless network signal is superman strong. RE1000 is located in the same room as router, about 3 meters from him.
There's absolutely no way I can make RE1000 to connect to my WRT54GL router (v.1.1 with Firmware Version: v4.30.16). I've lost several hours trying to make it work.
Has someone had any luck in estabilishing connection between those two CISCO products?
Or maybe my RE1000 unit is broken? I'm seriously considering sending it back.

Okay. I've tried everything. Reinstalling the firmware, resetting, moving RE1000 one meter closer to WRT54GL, disabling network security, enabling DHCP, changing router channels. Absolutely everything. And still this junk won't connect to the router. This is ridiculous.

  • ResourceException: Access not allowed (when trying to grab a connection from weblogic pool)

    I am using WLS7 with SP1.
    I just recently migrated from WLS6.0. When my code tries to grab a
    connection from the pool, it throws an exception
    java.sql.SQLException: Pool connect failed:
    weblogic.common.ResourceException: Access not allowed
    at weblogic.jdbc.pool.Driver.connect(Driver.java:202)
    Does anyone know if anything changed from 6.0 to 7?
    Here is a piece of the code that throws exception.
    Driver driver =
    (Driver)Class.forName("weblogic.jdbc.pool.Driver")
    .newInstance();
    conn = driver.connect("jdbc:weblogic:pool:" +
    dbName, null);
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Jung,
    Could you try providing weblogic user name and password
    in the properties?
    Could you also check security setting of the connection pool?

    Well that is exactly what I am doing. The variable dbName is database
    connection pool name that I created in weblogic console. Again, it
    worked
    in WLS6 but after migration, it stopped working.
    Thanks.

    In my code I am supplying name of the connection pool already
    created
    in
    weblogic server. I am asking you to get connection from the pool
    using
    pool
    driver.
    In your case you are trying to create connection straight to
    database
    using pool
    driver.
    What I am asking is pass name of the connection pool instead of
    database
    name.
    Thanks,

    not
    work in WLS7?

    Try As described below:
    The following example demonstrates how to use a database
    connection
    pool
    from a servlet.
    Load the pool driver and cast it to java.sql.Driver. The
    full
    pathname
    of
    the driver is weblogic.jdbc.pool.Driver. For example:
    Driver myDriver = (Driver)
    Class.forName("weblogic.jdbc.pool.Driver").newInstance();
    Create a connection using the URL for the driver, plus
    (optionally)
    the
    name of the registered connection pool. The URL of the pool
    driver
    is
    jdbc:weblogic:pool.
    You can identify the pool in either of two ways:
    Specify the name of the connection pool in a
    java.util.Properties
    object
    using the key connectionPoolID. For example:
    Properties props = new
    Properties();props.put("connectionPoolID",
    "myConnectionPool");Connection conn =
    myDriver.connect("jdbc:weblogic:pool", props);
    Add the name of the pool to the end of the URL. In this case
    you
    do
    not
    need a Properties object unless you are setting a username
    and
    password
    for using a connection from the pool. For example:
    Connection conn =
    myDriver.connect("jdbc:weblogic:pool:myConnectionPool",
    null);
    Note that the Driver.connect() method is used in theseexamples
    instead of
    the DriverManger.getConnection() method. Although you may
    use
    DriverManger.getConnection() to obtain a databaseconnection,
    we
    recommend
    that you use Driver.connect() because this method is not
    synchronized
    and
    provides better performance.
    Note that the Connection returned by connect() is an
    instance
    of
    weblogic.jdbc.pool.Connection.
    Call the close() method on the Connection object when youfinish
    with
    your
    JDBC calls, so that the connection is properly returned to
    the
    pool. A
    good coding practice is to create the connection in a try
    block
    and
    then
    close the connection in a finally block, to make sure the
    connection
    is
    closed in all cases.
    conn.close();

  • WebDynpro Debugger stuck when trying to establish a connection

    Hello!
    I am trying to debug a webdynpro java application. My NWDS version is 7.0 SP13.
    When i tried to debug, the debugger keep trying to establish a connection forever. Do you know what is the issue?
    My server0 debug mode is on, standard debug port. I was able to do the debug before. Please let me know if you have any suggestion for my issue. Thank you very much.

    Try changing these values.
    In Studio:
    Window -> Preferences -> Java -> Debug
    Debugger timeout (ms)
    Launch timeout (ms)
    To those two values, add an extra zero.
    If it doesnt work, restart your server. Or your network is getting clogged up.

  • Server deadlocked when trying to reserve a connection

    I have domain which has a connection pool with four connections. Under certain circumstances all four connections are in use. A fifth thread comes along, tries to get a connection and causes a deadlock. Question is why doesn't the connection reserve timeout (10 seconds) kick in and break the deadlock ? Is this a bug in WLS ?
    I am just curious here. I was able to solve this by increasing the number of connections and also changing a singleton number generator that was involved in the picture. But the root cause appears to be the behaviour of the DataSource.getConnection call. Any info will be appreciated.

    I mean it is fine that IP addresses differ from mentioned in guide

    I don't know about the use of port 2222, but your testing server definition is completely wrong.
    The testing server folder must be a physical path, not a URL. And the URL prefix must be a valid URL. public_html is the name of the web server's document root, it should never be part of a URL.
    Judging from the details you have given here, you are using your remote server for testing. In the Testing server section of the site definition, set Access to FTP. The value of Host directory should be what your hosting company tells you to use when logging in. For some hosting companies, you use public_html on its own. Other companies tell you to leave the value blank or to use just /.
    The URL prefix is just the URL for the site.

  • Re4000w drops when trying to make initial connection to existing network

    I am trying to set up a re4000w for a friend.
    I am attempting setup through the browser, connecting to 192.168.1.1. No issues seeing their existing network, I am able to connect and enter a p/w and the device will attempt to connect to the exisiting AP. However, after 10 seconds or so, the connection completely drops and the default extender SSID dissapears and does not reappear. The browser window goes white.
    I have hard reset numerous times.  It was already runing 1.0 but I refreshed it. I have taken the device out of their home, and attempted to set up ay my own place and the same exact behavior takes place.
    I know that the default gateway ay my place is 192.168.1.1, could this be creating some sort of comflict since the extender has the same default IP? I would think that once connected, the re4000w would grab a IP from the existing router and disable it own DHCP server.
    Any ideas? Thanks

    If you configured the RE to extend an exiting wireless signal, once configured it will drop it's default signal and start broadcasting the SSID it was configure to extend.
    After the RE is configured the only thing you will notice on your wireless device is an increase signal for the extended SSID.
    Have you used a extender as a repeater before or have they all been hard wired to the router as an AP?
    Please remember to Kudo those that help you.

  • No RDS Servers at when trying to add to connection broker farm

    Hello,
    My client has 2 servers, Windows Server 2012 R2. One named "TW01" which is a Session-Host server, another called "RDSBROKER" (its actually called DC....-02, but i'll just stick to "RDSBROKER") which is a Licensing Manager, Web
    Access and Connection Broker.
    We would like to add TW01 to RDSBROKER's Connection broker farm. The problem is there are no servers to choose in the list.
    I've attached a couple of pictures for your convenience.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your posting in Windows Server Forum.
    From your description it seems that you want to add the server to “configure load balancing settings”. For this you can perform as per below steps.
    - After you have created collection, reach to collection page.
    - Find “Host Servers” option (Last option)
    - Click on Tasks > Add RD Session Host Servers
    - It will display page to add the session host server; Add the specified server (in your case”TW01”)
    - Click Next
    - Click Add
    - After this it will add the server to load balance setting box.
    - Again open the “configure load balancing setting” and you will find your host server.
    Snap:
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

    Any ideas what could be the problem and how to resolve this?

    Further proof it's something with credentials/authentication. I found a valid workaround, but I think this one's on Microsoft to actually fix.
    I opened up Remote Desktop Connection, put in my username and clicked the Save Credentials box. Then I edited all the other settings. Saved the RDP connection to my desktop. Then I edited it with notepad, and added the password value. I found a blog that
    provides a program that'll hash the password for you. I used it so I can say its safe:
    http://www.remkoweijnen.nl/blog/2007/10/18/how-rdp-passwords-are-encrypted/
    I put the hashed password in, saved the file. Then used it to connect and it worked. So by bypassing RDP having to ask for credentials, it didn't crash since it doesn't ask. Kind of inconvenient if you have many computers you have to connect in to. But for
    those in a bind this will work for you.
    This one worked for me, no update or installation of software before it broke, but had a "wife-poweroutage" (cable taken out) I'm just not in the mood to reinstall for this. But the above fixed it for me. Thank you!

  • HT4623 Why do i keep getting this error message when trying to update to ios 5.1 "unable to install update"?

    Ive gotten this when trying to update while connected to iTunes and when I tried to update through general.

    Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Select
    /var/log ▹ appstore.log
    from the hierarchical list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar. Then select the messages from the last installation or update attempt, starting from the time when you initiated it. If you're not sure when that was, click the Clear Display button in the toolbar of the Console window and then try the installation again.
    Copy the messages to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
    If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
    When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
    Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
    Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.

  • HT4436 When trying to sign in I keep getting the error message, "iCloud encounterd a error while trying to connect to the server". How can I get signed in?

    When trying to sign in to iCloud, I always get the message, iCloud has encountered a error while trying to connect to the server. How do I get in????

    Hello,
    Try following step and check if issue gets resolved or not.
    Find Acrobat.exe on your computer.  Right click the program and click 'Troubleshoot Compatibility'.  Set the compatibility to Windows XP service pack 3.
    Regards,
    Anoop
