Read a password protected miniSD with a memory car...

Hi!
I password protected a miniSD inserted in my Nokia N73; unfortunately, the phone broke and if I try to read the card with a memory card reader connected to the PC, I just can't see it, as nothing was inserted!
So, I wondered if there's a program to menage a memory card protected by a password, or to unlock it I must put it in a phone?
I remember the password, I just can't read the card!
I'm Winston Wolf, I solve problems

Unfourtunitely some card reader can't read password protected card and show no disk in dirive(H. You should insert the card to another mobile and should remove the password.

  • Can't read a password protected pdf created in windows on mac

I converted a word document to a pdf and password protected it with acrobat 9.  When the pdf is opened in mac preview only the first page is visible. all other are blank.  Would appreciate advice.

I can tell you in my testing that my results were consistent regardless of whether I typed the hyphen at the keyboard or pasted it in from a text document.
So, that still leaves us with "is this a bug?" or "is it a prohibited character?"
Obviously, in these days of concern over password strength, it is important to understand the range of available character set, so we can select effective (and legal) characters and not have to deal with the trial-and-error of trying to learn which characters to avoid.
I am also still confused as to why the exact same password, entered in the exact same manner succeeds on one platform and not another.  Unless the input dialog is silently converting the character (which I think could only be diagnosed with a debugger), results should be consistent.  After all, the "P" in PDF does stand for "Portable".
Do you have the resources to try and reproduce my test case?  I would be curious to know if the problem occurs both ways or just Mac->Windows.

  • How to read a password protected pdf on a surface pro 2?

Has anyone been able to successfully open a password protected PDF on a Surface Pro 2?  The Adobe Reader app doesn't work on the surface pro 2 with protected PDFs.

Use Adobe Reader XI, the regular Adobe Reader for any Windows system.

  • Password Protect Folder with Pics in Photoshop CS4

I want to password protect a folder  I have JPEGS in so any one else who may access my computer cannot get into that folder and view what is inside. How do I do it?

When I go to my file tab, brows in bridge, it says the  Adobe Bridge service is no longer available.
And you cannot password protect individual files as states from the other answers below. it said you cant do it in Windows
Can I protect files or folders with a password?
No, you can't use a password to protect files and folders in Windows.  However, some programs that run on Windows do  allow you to protect individual files by using a password. For more information,  check the Help for the program you are using.
There are other ways to protect your files and folders in Windows. You can encrypt your files, manually specify who can access the folders or files, or hide them.  Choose your method based on how secure the folders or files need to be.  Encrypting is the most secure, while hiding the folders is the least secure.
    Note
The ability to encrypt files and folders is not available in Windows Vista Starter, Windows Vista Home Basic, and Windows Vista Home Premium.

3.Save As (or Save if it's OK to overwrite the original PDF).

  • Is There a way I can make a free password protected website with iWeb?

    Hi!
I've been thinking to myself, "I want to make a free website". But I want it passcode protected and free. I am a mac kind of person so is there a way I can make a free passcode protected website with iWeb? I knwo you use to be able to do it with MobileMe, but that's outdated now so could someone please help!

No, you cannot password protect a website with iWeb.
And no, you don't have to be a Mac kind of person either.
So how do they do it?

  • How to create password protected folder (with unlimited storage) on Mac?

I want to create password protected folder on my mac. I tried the method where you create a dmg file and mount it whenever you want to use the folder and unmount it when you don't. However, this method only lets me store, for example, 2 gb data. I cannot store beyong that level as an error message pops up saying... "the following files cannot be copied because there is not enough storage space in the dmg file"
How can I create a passpord protected folder which can store as much available space that is on my mac?
Is there an application that does that? Suggest me some names if someone already is using something like that.
    Thanks much!

You need to choose the size of the image when you create it. If you are getting that message, you only set the image to hold 2GB of data.
If you choose a Sparse Disk Image or a Sparse Bundle Disk Image, you can set it to any size, however, it will only be able to store up to the space available on your Hard Disk. Physically, it will only be the size of the stuff you saved into it, but It doesn't shrink automatically when you remove things.
A Sparse Bundle differs from a Sparse Image in that it writes the contents to small files so that when Time Machine sees changes, it only backs up the small file change, not the 100 GB (or whatever) of the total image size.
Notice that having created a 10 TB disk image (as shown above), there is only 80 GB available on the mounted image as that is all the space I have available on the 500 GB drive.

  • Password Protection Workaround with ITPC

I just want to make sure that I understand this correctly. If I have a password protected site where I'm hosting my podcasts, then I will have to disable the password protection temporarily each time I send a feed to the ITMS, right? Then I can just use the "Subscribe" button that iWeb can create in order to make a link that will let others get to the store and login from there, correct?
    Thanks in advance.
    David

If I understand your question correctly, you should have the audio files in the password protected section of your web site. And the RSS feed file should be in an unprotected section of the web site. The iTunes Store will regularly (once per day I believe) automatically check the feed file to see if it has been updated. I'm not sure what would happen if the feed file can't be read. Once someone subscribes to your feed, they aren't using the copy of your feed on the Apple server, they are polling your web site for updates themselves.
Let me know if I'm misunderstanding your question. Or if I've clouded the waters even more. Mike

  • Open a password protected PDF with XPAAJ

    Hi,
I have a LiveCycle PDF form that is protected by a password and Reader Extension Server.
In my application, it was suppose to open this PDF and import XML data into it. But I'm getting an exception when using XPAAJ API to open the form in my JAVA application.
Does any one knows any way to achieve that?
    Thank you.

Preview should give you a password entry field when you open the file. If it doesn't, then either Preview is acting up, or there is something odd about the way the bank has done the encryption.
You can test Preview by opening any pdf, than Saving As (with a different name), checkin the 'Encrypt' checkbox in the save dialog. When you reopen the file you should see the password demand. If that's OK then as said you need to take it up with your bank.
You can usually delete 'in use' files after rebooting the computer.

  • Can't connect to password protected wifi with the correct password.

So, here's the deal. I have a program on my Mac called Self Control. It's a program that allows you to block all access to either the entire internet or a select amount of websites that you choose from, for a specific time. I had it going today, and got so impatient that I decided to search on Google to see if there was a way to get around it, which I thought would be fruitless. Turns out I found out how to do it. I went to Date & Time Preferences and manually changed the date to after the specified time that the Self Control program was to go to. It worked, and tricked the program into believing the time was over. Happy me. But then, my computer automatically booted me off of my college roommates wifi, which is Apple Airport. I was like, "Weird, okay." So I tried connecting back to the wifi. As it should, it asked for the password, and I confirmed it with my roommate. Every single time I try to connect with the correct password, it keeps saying invalid password. I changed the date back to the correct date, and it still does this. Have any ideas on how to fix this? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

installing the package "network-manager-applet" allowed for the menu to properly work.  I didn't realize that it wasn't even installed until I tried your
    $nm-connection-editor
and realized that it wasn't a command on my system.
    Silly me.

  • Can cfspreadsheet read a password protected excel spreadsheet?

Wondering if there is a way to read a protected speadsheet. Don't see any documentation on that.

  • Adobe Reader not recognizing the (correct) password on a password protected document

I have been opening password protected documents with Adobe Reader for months. My client just changed the password, and now, using the correct new password (I'm positive it's the correct password because I can open it on other computers, and no, my caps lock isn't on, and I've tried numerous times so it's not that I'm typing it incorrectly), Adobe is saying that the password is incorrect. Any ideas? I was thinking perhaps because I am on a Mac, or maybe because I have Adobe Reader and not the full version it isn't working... any help much appreciated!

Reader should be fine. you don't need to full version to open password protected documents and a Mac doesn't make any difference either.
Fist thing to be sure of is that it's actually Reader opening the docs and not Mac Preview (or something else).
If it is, maybe try having them assign a different password. A more simplistic one just to see if you can open it.

  • Link to other published web folder from within password protected iWeb site

I realise that you cannot password protect an iWeb site if it contains a link to an external page / file. However, I have a complex genealogy site that I had previously published to another site. I directly copied this folder to the iWeb directory alongside the folder for the protected site published from iWeb. I have tried all sorts of link URLs on the protected site page, trying to link to the genealogy index.html file. iWeb refuses to allow password protection or even point correctly to the site.
Does anyone know how to create a suitable link to a site folder created elsewhere?

I have a password protected site with a page that has a link to an ordinary homepage.mac.com page, with no problems. Could you provide more details on what is not working for you? Maybe putting your geneology folder in iDisk/Sites and linking to that would help?

  • Password protected files do not preview.

    Can someone help me?
When I upload a password protected file with restrictions on printing and editing it does not preview the file. I have not set any password for viewing or opening the file. I want to share the document but not allow for people to download it i.e. just for online viewing.
I do understand that download of the document is inevitable for a person that has some basic level of computer literacy but still want to get that done.
Is what I am trying to accomplish possible?
    Regards.
Edit: I am referring to Acrobat.com document management and sharing.

    Hi
I am having the same problem, the image does not appear in the main preview box, it is shown in the sidebar window but you cannot drag it into the main window, I have tried tiff and jpg but to not avail, the only way I can import into main window is converting the picture into eps (but it then automatically converts to a PDF format before importing), I am running 10.6.2, any ideas

  • How to password protect a document ?

Hello i want to put all my bank details in a pages document,so i will need to password protect it and i do not know how to,any suggestions please?
    Thank you.

    Hi!
Here is a link refering to the Help menu. _http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9679992_
In the Help menu you can also download the Pages User Guide. At the bottom of page 35, English version, you can read about password-protecting your document.
I find the Pages User Guide very helpful.
