Read error when closing bridge

When closing bridge I sometimes get an error for bridge.exe.
That an read operation couldn't be done and that something with the addresses was wrong. I will post the exact error message as soon as I get it again.
This is in Bridge CS4. But I remember having the same or a similar problem for CS3.
Thanks in advance
Edit:
Please note that this is only when closing bridge and hasn't happened for any other Adobe program yet.
Also I cannot open Bridge after the error has occurred.
Some other Adobe products (Photoshop, After Effects) don't seem to open either after the error message.

Doesn't seem to be the problem.
I closed a couple of times with the wheel still spinning and everything went fine.
I haven't had the error since I posted this thread.
Maybe it was a three-times-only-thing...^^
But I've found other forums about a similar problem just with other programs, so I thought it might be something not related to Bridge. Still it only happens when closing Bridge.
Hope it's gone.
While opening an closing i've taken some looks at the new icons and i have to say that the CS3 ones looked way better.

Could I know which version of Workbench you are using? Was it installed as a

  • Getting tcp/ip read errors when I receive an email

    Hi
I have been having problems with a copier that scans to email. My production GWIA is too busy to monitor so I brought up another gwia to test with the copier. Its across a wan and used to work just fine. If they scan 1-6 pages it sends just fine. If they scan 9 or more it connects, stays connected for quite awhile and then disconnects with out a file getting sent. The TCP/ip read err incriments. We took the 12 pages and sent to a desktop to see how big the file was it its 400kb. I can copy a file over the wan in ~30 sec. The connection for email stays up for much longer than that.
I checked the nic on the server and its clean.
Very curious why I get the read error when its trying to write the file.
    Thanks,
    Will

SMTP is a chain of commands and responses, alternating between sender
    and receipient.
    Example:
    GWIA: Hi, I'm here.
    Sender: Hello, I'm scanner.
GWIA: Hey, that's cool, how can I help.
Sender: Please accept MAIL FROM: [email protected]
    GWIA: Will do, go ahead.
Sender: And please send that mail to RCPT TO: [email protected]
GWIA: I know that one, so I'll happily take it.
Sender: So here comes the DATA
GWIA: Ok, go ahead and send it, line by line. Once you're done, please
send me a single dot on it's own line so I know you're doe with it all.
    Sender: Blabla, blabla.....
    more blablalala
    and even more blablaba
    Gwia: Cool, I have that.
Sender: Cool, we're done. So I QUIT.
    Gwia: Bye-Bye.
So now, if for some reason that nice little chat gets interrupted for
whatever reason, and at *whatever* stage, it simply depends on whose
turn it was to talk. If it was GWIA's turn to talk, and it found the
connection broken, you will get a TCP write error (because GWIA was
attempting to "write" something. If however it was the senders turn to
"talk", and it simply never did, or the connection broke down, you'll
receive a tcp read error, because GWIA was expecting to "read" something
from the other end, but nothing ever reached it.
In 99,999% of all cases, this is a low-lever TCP/IP communication
problem, regardless if it's a read or write error. Do *NOT* look at your
GWIA, you'll find nothing. Look at TCP/IP.

    Hello,
'''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
    * You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''
''When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.''
    Thank you.

It is a standard report. On development system it first works, but I look for differences to production system and in the user role display the crmui_navbar-function profile was different and I changed that value to the one from production system and it doesn't work furthermore. But when I change back the value to the old one, it do not work, too.
Hopefully you can help me with this issue. I have to say I am new to this topic at all and do not find anything on SDN or in web to solve this problem.
    Best regards
    Fabian

    Dear Madhavi,
we just upgraded our CRM-systems. The problem is now solved. So it seems to be one of these hundreds of oss-notes, which are installed with the patches.
I'm sorry for this unsatisfying answer! We now are on release:
    WEBCUIF 700 0011 SAPK-70011INWEBCUIF
So probably you should show these WEBCUIF content for problems or update it.
    Best regards

  • Firefox application error when closing 0xc0000005

Hi I've been getting errors every so often when closing firefox.
This is what I'm seeing http://i.imgur.com/VO3sA.jpg?1
I've been looking for a way to solve this error and figure out what is causing it. My search has brought me here. Some details.
This crash doesn't happen every time I close firefox
I can't find a way to "make" it happen when closing it to reproduce it but it happens fairly often. I could go 2-3 days without it happening, the next day it might happen 3 times.
The error only happens when closing firefox, it does not crash.
    Been happening for months.
    Reinstalled firefox many times
    The extensions I use are:
    adblock plus 2.2.2
    noscript 2.6.4.4
I've gone to about:crashes in my browser and looked at the most recent crash and found something odd. It lists 2 crashes for the same time.
1 is (this one is showing up as firefox verison 17.0.1)
    ID:9fb71784-ba7b-4925-9de4-608e12130202
    Signature: F_2060112065______________________________
2nd is (this one is showing up as firefox verison Firefox 18.0)

    Signature: F2102588022______________________________________________________________________________________________________
Does this mean I have 2 firefox verisons installed and running at the same time? Only one shows up in task manager. So what do these crashes mean and why are the crash reports listing two verisons?
    Thanks for the help.

It happen because of Malware/Virus problem.
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
    * [http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/default.aspx Microsoft Safety Scanner]
    * [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware]
    * [http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363 TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility]
[http://windows.microsoft.com/MSE Microsoft Security Essentials] is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
Further information can be found in the [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]] article.

  • IAC error when closing Editor

I have found that when closing the editor which automatically opens the organizer, sometimes the photo does not appear in the Organizer with a gray border around it indicated it has been edited and without the changes made in the editor having been made to the photo.  I sometime need to try three times before the edited changes will "stick".  I have noticed, however, that the file extension (edited 1...edited2...edited 3...etc.) changes even though it does not appear edited in the Organizer.  I have also gotten a message about an "IAC error" associated with this problem, though not ever time.
Very frustrating break (brake) in the workflow.  Any ideas?

Thanks very much for your suggestion and quick response, however,
it does not solve my problem.  The routine I generally use to exit the Editor is
File > Close  which then launches the Save As routine.
I tried using the Save As and then the close, but it does not consistently
appear in the Organizer as edited.  I am wondering if there could be some
thing wrong with the location settings for temporary files?
    I appreciate any help!!!

  • Still having a problem with Firefox going to "restart a session" even after re-installing Firefox. Keeps giving me "script error" when closing down. How do I fix this?

As stated previously...I have removed and re-installed Firefox, but am still getting "script error" when shutting it down and going to "restore session" when opening. Please advise what to do about this problem. Thank you.

Firefox 21 and Firefox 22 running on Windows 7 have been reported to take a long time to "wake up" from sleep. I realize hibernation is different than sleep, but... this is the closest match for your description.
Some users have reported that this problem is resolved in Firefox 23 (currently in beta). Others have had inconsistent luck with minimizing Firefox before letting Windows sleep and other measures.
Please check out this (very long) thread for more information: [https://support.mozilla.org/questions/961898 browser freezes after resuming from sleep]
Or jump to the part about Firefox 23: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/961898?page=3#answer-457321
The fact that this just started recently suggests perhaps it is related to another program or update, but I don't think anyone has confirmed the exact interaction that causes the problem.
