Hello All,
While loading data for HR data source 0HR_PA_OS_1 i am getting the below error message..
Error 1 in update.
Read error when reading the master data of 0EMPLOYEE on demand, attribute 0COMP_CODE
Please let me know how can it be resolved.

The problem occurs during data load from R/3. It was not occuring before. When I go to check the PSA contents I get a runtime error - GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED.
Error analysis
    You attempted to access an unassigned field symbol
    (data segment 32821).
This error may occur if
    - You address a typed field symbol before it has been set with
      ASSIGN
    - You address a field symbol that pointed to the line of an
      internal table that was deleted
    - You address a field symbol that was previously reset using
      UNASSIGN or that pointed to a local field that no
      longer exists
    - You address a global function interface, although the
      respective function module is not active - that is, is
      not in the list of active calls. The list of active calls
      can be taken from this short dump.

I solved the problem. AFter changing from PSA to IDOC, i just saved first and activated. it got activated. But thanks for the response.

Error when loading the master data

Hi all,
Can anybody help me out. I am loading the master data from DB Connect source. When i am trying to load it it is giving the runtime error PERFORM_CONFLICT_TAB_TYPE. Can anybody tell me what could be the problem & necessery steps to take.

Error when tranfering the text data

Hi all
I am getting an error when transfering the text data thru flat files .
It is asking " No transfer structure available for the source system ," and saying that 0langu is not assigned to source syatem.I am working on 3.5.
pls suggest me.

here are teh steps:
1) craete source system in BW as say Flat_file
2) go to inforsource --? create inforsource --> right clik on infosource and say assign datasource
3) select flat_file here and say YES
4) then for flat file, trnafer structure mapping has to be done manually. so in trs struc screen ,go to datasource tab and enter your corresponding infoobject.
5) then go to tranfer rule tab and propose the rule.
If it helps, please assign points. In case of doubt, please get back

hi,
you have to decline 0LANGU, STTXT(short text), MDTXT(medium text),
LGTXT(long text), and respective key field(primary key) of attribute for
text data source. give the above five info object's in transfer structure for
text data source and activate it.

When I tried to load the master data, data was not loaded. Monitor tells, in YELLOW color (0 records from 0). Status telling following things
Diagnosis
No errors could be found. The current process has probably not finished yet.
System response
The ALE inbox of the SAP BW is identical to the ALE outbox of the source system
and/or
the maximum wait time for this request has not yet run out
and/or
the batch job in the source system has not yet ended.
Current status
No Idocs arrived from the source system.

Hi,
Check the TRFC log.
You can get to this log using the wizard or the menu path "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In source system".
Removing errors:
If the TRFC is incorrect, check whether the source system is completely connected to the SAP BW. Check especially the authorizations of the background user in the source system.
Resolutions:
Reload the Master Data manually again from Info-package at RSA1.

Error when initializing the Transaction data From ODS to CUBE.

Hi,
   we have initialized the load from source system to ODS. the load was successful, and when loading from ODS CUBE(initialization). it is giving the following message.
No SID found for value '0000436038' of characteristic 0CUST_SALES.
We have updated the master data of 0CUST_SALES (DELTA UPDATE).
but still getting the same message when updating the data packets from PSA. I am unable to find the reason.
Please let me know is there any other solution.

   I have loaded master data for all the objects you have mentioned( atributes and texts). but still data packets are not getting updated. it is giving the message.
   i have also tried the elementary tests and combined tests of 0CUST_SALES, in RSRV. there were no errors found.
these data targets were newly implemented. would it be problem with routines or any other means.
Please let me know ASAP.

Error in DTP (The master data is deleted in the Background)

Hi,
while loading the data to Data target (0chrt_acct_attr) through DTP...... I got the Error " The master data is deleted in the Background". Plz advice me it is an urgent issue.

Does the log in SLG1 say any more details?
Use RSDMD as Object & MD_DEL as Sub Obj. Leave the other field to *.
Is it happening for 1 specific object or for all? What type of data (attr or text)?

Getting the error while loading the master data

Hi
i have tried to delete the master data using right click and delete master data, but still there are data.
Now i am trying to load this master data again then i am getting the message "0 from 50033 records"
and data load got failed with error message "master data/text of 0vendor already deleted "
and due to this i could not able to load my other infoprovider (which have 0 vendor).
can any body help me, it very urgent...

Hi Raju,
I assume there are no routines written in the update rules and also you ae directly loading the data from R/3 ( not from any ODS). If that is the case then it could be that, the data maintained in R/3 has overlapping time intervals (since time dependency of attributes is involved). Check your PSA if the same profit center has time intervals which over lap. In that case, you need to get this fixed in R/3. If there are no overlapping time intervals, you can simply increase the error tolerance limit in your info-package and repeat the load.

Data error when loading to master data?

Hi,
I am loading data from Data base to BW.It is a master data loading.I got an error in the 8th package of the load for the time field which is server update time(reference 0TIME) .The data server update time for that particular record is '19900101'.I am really confused what is the error with this kind of data?
Here is error message:
0TIME: Data record 1797 ('3YV4C0EJBWTGO1CA'): Version '199001' is not valid
Message no. RSDMD194
Diagnosis
Data record 2. with the key '3.' is invalid in value '4.' of the attribute/characteristic 1..
System Response
The system has recognized that the value mentioned above is invalid, and has processed this general error message. A subsequent message may give you more information on the error. This message refers to the same value, even though it does not state this explicitly.
Procedure
If this message appears during a data load, maintain the attribute in the PSA maintenance screens. If this message appears in the master data maintenance screens, leave the transaction and call it again. This allows you to maintain your master data.
Please help me to resolve this also explain what is the differnce in this kind of data?

right click on the master data --> delete master date, BUT you will only be able to delete master data not used in a cube (you'll get a pop up to confirm this)...if you want to delete master data already used in a cube, you need to delete the contents of this cube first (and any other cube where this master data is used)...only then you can completely delete the master data entries

'Overlapping Time Intervals' error while loading the Master Data

Guys,
          Need you help with this. I am trying to load the Master Data (attribute) for InfoObject 0FMD_FRSITM using DTP from DataSource 0FMD_FRSITM_ATTR and am getting an error 'Overlapping Time Intervals'.
This is happening due to overlapping Valid From/Valid To date's for the same Financial Statement Item (0FMD_FRSITM) with different Editions.
If I select the option 'Ignore Duplicate Records' while loading the data, it is successful. But not all the records are loads and Editions are missing.
Below is an example of how the data looks like.
FRSITM         Valid To                  Valid From                 Edition
1001             12/31/9999             04/01/2010                2010.1.1
1001             01/31/2010             03/01/2010                2010.1.2
1001             12/31/9999             02/01/2010                2010.1.3
In the above scenario, the Valid To Data for record 1 and record 3 is the same (12/31/9999) and the record 3 is being ignore when I select the option 'Ignore Duplicate Records'.
And also I see that the Edition is not the Key Field.
Any suggestions or ideas? Appreciate your help.

1. While selecting ignore duplicate, make sure to-date is not part of symantic key.
2. if system comes across two same records it picks up the latest one.
3. It shall merge the timelines is overlap is found.
4. I hope Edition is time dependent attribute
I believe infoobjet key is FRSITM Valid To.
In your case because first record has more period and may be the latets record system ignore the earlier one with the same time interval.
have a look at Q table and you shall be able to figure out for your self.

Error while loading the master data into hierarchy

Hi,
When i am trying to load the master data into a hierarchy, it is showing me the following error.
"Invalid Entry, hierarchy xxxxxx does not exist".
Can you please tell me what might be the possible cause for this error.

Have you created a hierarchy, I mean go to Transfer structure->Hierarchy structure
->create hierarchy, put a check of whether it is sorted or time dependent etc. after that while loading data through infopackage just check that you have selected an appropriate hierarchy name in hierarchy selection tab.

Error while activating the Master Data InfoSource for attributes

I created the InfoSource and when im trying to activate it .
Then it gives the following error like below

So please tell the what is the error and how to resolve this issue.
And pls give the error 'RSAR 245' message from SAP note system.

a) 'Obsolete' communication structure:
            Due to an optimization algorithm, pressing the 'Generating button' does not have any affect on the communication structure. Therefore, use the following workaround:
Select 'Communication structure' -> 'Change'.
Add any InfoObject (for example, '0MATERIAL') to the communication structure -> 'ENTER'.
Communication structure ---> 'Save'
Selet the InfoObject you inserted and delete it.
Communication structure ---> 'Save'
Communication structure -> 'Generate'.
a) Message: <table name> is already declared. Check whether the local part of your routines contains TABLE statements. TABLE statements always have global validity and should therefore be in the global part of the routine.
b) If the error occurs when data is being loaded, the transfer rule should be generated using RSA1.
In many cases, generating transfer rules using RSA1 results in a detailed error message.
2. Error code:
           Program to be generated is locked by parallel process.
This error can sporadically occur if parallel processes simultaneously try to generate the same program.
Unfortunately, you cannot completely prevent the error from occurring since these types of lock situations can still crop up during data loading in parallel processes. We are currently working on improving system stability relating to lock situations during the load task.
Reloading usually works without any problems.

Getting Duplicate data Records error while loading the Master data.

Hi All,
We are getting Duplicate data Records error while loading the Profit centre Master data. Master data contains time dependent attributes.
the load is direct update. So i made it red and tried to reloaded from PSA even though it is throwing same error.
I checked in PSA. Showing red which records have same Profit centre.
Could any one give us any suggestions to resolve the issues please.

Error while deleting the Master data

Hi Friends,
i am getting the below error while deleting the data from a master data:-
The system is unable to delete all of the specified master data,because some of it is still in use. (See log:Object RSDMD, sub-object MD_DEL )
Do you want to delete the data records that are no longer in use?
Could you guide how should i proceed to delete the data.

If you are using master data in someother data targets u cant delete master data.So first you have to delete the data in data targets where this particual master data object is used, then remove the data in master data object.
