Read from sd card

How do you get adobe to list the documents from the sd card when you push the "all documents" tab. I'm using a galaxy s4 with version 4.4.2

On Android OS 4.4.x (KitKat), neither All PDFs view nor Folder View shows any files or folders on an external SD card. Reader cannot save any changes to the files on an external SD card, either. We are still working on fixing the problems. In the meantime, please copy the files from your external SD card to your device's internal storage (e.g. /storage/emulated/0/Documents/...) using a File Manager/Browser app or use a cloud storage service (Acrobat.com, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.) to store files. Sorry for the inconvenience.

FIX : Elements 11 photodownloader freezes Win7SP1 when reading from SD card

I found a problem with Elements 11 and the photodownloader. (complete freeze, no blue screen, no possibility to shut down the application because the keyboard, mouse and screen are completely frozen, only shutdown the hard way possible)
My machine is running Win7SP1 64 Bit
SInce a couple of days my computer froze completely when I tried downloading photo's from an SD card.
After an extensive diagnostic, reinstalling elements, testing via an USB key, I found the problem was when photodownloader reads from an SD card.
With this I checked all Microsoft updates which had been installed and which might affect the SD card reader, when I found the MS update KB2800095.
When I removed this update, and rebooted, the photodownloader worked fine again, even when reading from SD cards.
Something in the patch from Microsoft makes photodownloader and Win7 to completely freeze up.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium. The autoplay box automatically comes up with the Elements 12 box to select, but when I click on it, it gives that hateful noise and says "that there is no file associated with it and to go to default programs and associate it with one. When I go to the Default programs, it gives this list of stupid stuff like "Paint" whatever that is, and stuff I never use and there is no way to add Elements 12 or any other thing. Have right clicked, left clicked and everything else but nothing works.
How could I uninstall the entire program and not lose my organizer that has 40,000 photos and videos on there? I don't understand it.
And, also, I have to admit that I have no understanding whatsoever to understand the link that you so kindly gave me. Sorry to be such an idiot, but I'm a nurse, not a computer expert and guess it is pretty clear that I just don't understand it. My husband is an IT person but has no idea what to tell me because he has never worked with stuff like Elements or Photoshop, etc.
Any other suggestions that I could understand would be really appreciated. Am just so frustrated.

Synchronise READ from Serial card when Counter on 6025 is incremented

System description:
I am using PXI-8423 (2-port RS-422) and PXI-6025 to measure the signal coming from 2 laser sensors mounted onto a mechanical stage with linear encoder.
The laser sensors give RS-422 output (at 1KHz) and are connected to my serial card.
The encoder gives quadrature output that I plan to connect to counters on my 6025 daqcard.
Q:
I want to read the laser data everytime the encoder gives a pulse signifying the mechanical stage has moved. How can I achieve this?
We would be taking around 1000 serial reads (from each port) per second.
Environment:
We are using PXI-1031 chassis (4-slot) with PXI-8184 controller (850 MHz celeron). OS is Win2K prof. and LabVIEW 7.1

Hi Gurdas,
We have some simple serial communication examples included in LabVIEW. Those example programs transmit any string of characters over the serial port. All you have to do is set which port you want to use, baud rate, stop bits, parity, etc. in the VI; this setting wil remain for each serial transfer while the program is running. Again, you can read/write any character string with the serial communication VI's. How the information is put into the character strings is up to you and the device you are communicating with. The serial communication is LSB before MSB.

"Files not imported because they could not be read" from SD card.

Trying to import photos from my disk. Was able to download 2/3 of chosen files. Came back to do the last 3rd, and a message pops up, "The following files were not imported because they could not be read." then listed the file names that were not imported. Thought maybe it was the card, or a fluke. New disk today, same issue. Any resolution ideas

Usually, that error message comes up because the files couldn't be written. Yes, I know, it's weird.
Generally, it's because you are trying to write to a folder or a disk that is protected some way. You need permission to write to that folder, and on Windows 7, you need to have ownership of that disk and folder--running as an administrator isn't enough.
What operating system are you running, and what version on Lightroom?

Aperture Reading From Media Card?

I use a Panasonic FZ30, which is nowhere to be found on the Aperture camera support pages. So, if I use an external media card (sD) reader, will Aperture import the files? RAW would be great, but JPG would do if the issue is Aperture not liking Pan RAW files.
Anyone know?

Ok Maury, a quick test on your part. If you open finder and browse to a folder with your Panasonic files in it, can you see thumbnail pictures of those files? If not, then Aperture probably won't import those files. I've read taht there seems to be some correlation between what the OS can handle and what Aperture can handle.
This is only conjecture on my part, but should be a quick and dirty check that you can do.

Is there anyone to help me? I inserted a 64 MB SD card in the card reader slot of my Toshiba A100 model. It's the first time i have inserted the card. The card is inside the slot. I can not take it out! I don't have any idea how to remove the card from the card reader slot. I can see the contents of my SD card, can open the files too. But how to remove it out from the slot. Please help me giving your idea to remove the card out from the slot.

In my knowledge the SD card slot doesnt has a any additional helps like the PCMCIA slot to remove the card.
You have to remove it simply. Try to grab the card and move it out. You can try to use the pair of tweezers. Maybe it helps

I receive an error message on HP Pavilion Dv6 when trying to read from an sdhc memory card.

When I insert the memory card, I am presented with the scan disk message asking to scan and fix the "<memory card name> (D" If I click on "Scan and Fix", select either one check box or both check boxes (doesn't matter) it will scan the card and close out. When I then try to WRITE a folder to the memory card, doesn't matter which card I try, it sits there for a while thinking and then gives an error:
"File Too Large: The file '<%1 NULL:NameDest>' is too large for the destination file system."
If I try to read a photo from a card put there by my camera I get the message:
You need to format the disk in drive D: before using it.

Please insert a disk into SDHC (D.
or
any number of random errors.
I've updated the Intel chipset drivers, right clicked and updated the Realtek Card reader drivers using Windows Update.

Yes, it is possible. You can create even a folder on SD card and put in it the pdf's. It is working on my lumia 620 with Adobe reader 10.3 version.. You insert the SD in the phone, connect the phone to the computer and you will see the phone and the SD under it.
More....
You drag your pdf's on the SD card. when you open the Adobe reader on the phone you go to the documents and here they are (with a small card icon near the document which shows you that the file is on the SD card.

How to read from TDC-ISA card

I am having a TDC-ISA card for my experiment. I wish to write a VI in Labview which will read the data from this card. Can anyone guide me which are the ways or functions I can use?

First, as a note, this question has nothing to do with the "Real-Time" addon module for LabVIEW. Please post future related questions in the general LabVIEW group.
This response is assuming that you have a driver installed on your PC and the TDA-ISA board is installed properly. This of course would be something to take up with the company who makes the board if this is not the case, as you need a driver (typically in the form of a DLL) for the board to be recognized properly and accessable to any external programming language.
Most 3rd party devices have a driver in the form of a DLL. This is true for NI devices as well, however we also write user-friendly LabVIEW VIs that access these DLLs. Some 3rd party vendors may also have LabVIEW VIs available to access
their hardware through their own DLL, but you would have to check with the 3rd party vendor. If there are no existing LabVIEW VIs, you would be using the Call Library Function node in LabVIEW to interface with an existing DLL. Of course, how the driver DLL functions is an issue for the 3rd party vendor. For more information on how to use the Call Library Function node, see:

Photoshop Elements 10 has suddenly stopped being able to read from camera memory card

For no apparent reason Photoshop Elements 10 can no longer read from my camera card reader. This happens both when I load the card in to my PC card reader or when I load to a card reader connected via USB.
I get the message "Elements Organiser cannot obtain files from this device. Please ensure that this deviCS is connected properly, or that the batter is charged and try again.
This happens despite the pictures loading and even the first one shows as a thumbnail. I can get around this by loading the photos in to Windows 7 and then bring them in to Elements from their file location.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Two questions:
One, if it's a serial card, then presumably it gives you more serial ports, like COM3, COM4, etc. If so, VISA would see the COM ports, and not the card directly. The drivers for the card should make it so that you see the extra serial ports from the OS. If you don't see the extra COM ports from VISA, then it sounds like the drivers for the card are not installed properly. Do the extra COM ports show up in Device Manager?
Two, you said that you're using a Call Library function to get the data and you want to put it into system memory. Errr.... you just read the data and you have it in memory by definition. Are you saying you need a way to parse the data so it shows up on a graph or something?

This message means that you don't have permission to write to the destination folder or disk drive. This is an operating system issue that can be resolved by changing permissions. And you can get plenty of information on how to do that by doing a web search for "change disk permissions".

LR3 does not show source from CF card reader

I am new to LR3 and this is driving me crazy. I do not see the source for pics to import into LR3 from a CF card reader. CF card was formatted in camera prior to exposure. Does it matter if card reader is first plugged into Mac (OS X Lion) before turning Mac on or should Mac be turned on first and then have CF reader connected. I suspect either action is irrelevant as the Mac should recognize the CF reader either way. I have Scott Kelby's LR3 book but it does not cover situations such as the above. Can someone show me a few steps to take? Example such as: go to XX, next click or select XX, etc.
I might add that I also have a PC running on Windows Vista and the CF card reader downloads OK on my screen (LR3 not installed on the PC). I assume that once formatted in camera, card is clean and is accepted by either OS. So I am confused. Any help is appreciated.
