Read of a package with reflection
I want to know the various class names which are in a defined package. I think that the reflection will be a good solution but I don't understand how to load the list of class.
If someone has a solution...
Reflection doesn't work like that... it only works on a class level.
Your probably will have to parse the class path(s) yourself, and search the directories and JAR files.
Or, write your own classloader which keeps a list of the classes loaded,
which you can use to scan through the list of classes. But that would
only operate on loaded classes, not every class in the package.

I bought premiere 12 in a package with elements 12 and can only download the "read me" and not the premiere programme itself...What is the problem...It said the download was successful but it bwas not. Elements 12 is OK and works fine but not Premiere 12.
Try downloading the offline installer(s) from http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-elements-12-direct-download-links-premiere.html

How can i get all java class names from a package using reflection?
hi,
can i get all classes name from a package using reflection or any other way?
If possible plz give the code with example.You can't, because the package doesn't have to be on the local machine. It could be ANYWHERE.
For example, via a URLClassLoader (ie from the internet) I could load a class called:
com.paperstack.NobodyExpectsTheSpanishInquisitionI haven't written it yet. But I might tomorrow. How are you going to determine if that class is in the package?
This subject comes up a lot. If you want to do something a bit like what you're asking for (but not quite) there are plenty of threads on the subject. Use google and/or the forum search facility to find them.
But the answer to your question, as you asked it, is "you can't do that". -

After reading and resetting everything with Keyboard I still get blank white screen on 2nd? page of boot. The only way I can boot to Mavericks is unplug power cord, push and hold power button while plugging power cord in. Fans run at full speed, machine boots then runs normal except the dvdrw will not . The mid 2011 IMAC had the same problem with LION. I changed hard drives, formatted, and installed a clean install of latest os x mavericks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use the uninstaller provided with the Sophos software. You can uninstall CUDA via the preference pane. Be sure you remove the com.nvidia.CUDA extension which is located in the /System/Library/Extensions/ folder. Not sure if Fan Control has an uninstaller so you will have to do it manually:
Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder. Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item. Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder. Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences. Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab. Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS. Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term. Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default. You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder. Usually with the same name as the program or the developer. The item generally has a ".pkg" extension. Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications. Here is a selection:
1. AppZapper
2. AppDelete
3. Automaton
4. Hazel
5. AppCleaner
6. CleanApp
7. iTrash
8. Amnesia
9. Uninstaller
10. Spring Cleaning
For more information visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on removing software.
Be sure to remove your two Login Items. Finally do this:
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks
OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless. -
Problem with reflection in Generics
I'm using the Prototype compiler for JSR-014 and I am having a big problem with reflection. In the simplest case
class n<T> {
void go() {
this.getGenericType().getTypeParameters();
this.getClass().getGenericInterfaces();
}I get a "cannot resolve symbol" on both lines. A glance at the jar included with the prototype shows why: all the collection classes are there, and a lot of the java.lang types, but not java.lang.Class and none of the java.lang.reflection classes.
So what gives? Is reflection not supported yet? (gaak!) Is there another jar I am supposed to download?
ThanksSchapel is right.
but also
The signatures for fields and methods will include the generic types.
If you really wanted to, this would work.
get the Class's ClassLoader,
work out the name of the Class's file, and get an inputStream to this resource (from the classloader). (This bit works because I use as a diagnostics tool to see if classes are loaded from my jar, or my patches directory - see below).
Write some stuff to read the class file and parse out the generic signatures for the things you are interested in.
I don't think this last part would fit into anyones definition of "fun", however the specs are all available, and it may turn out simpler than at first appearances.
Here's the code I use to get the location of where a class is loaded from.
static URL getLoadPath(Class theClass) {
StringBuffer resourcename = new StringBuffer(theClass.getName());
for(int i=0;i < resourcename.length(); i++) {
if(resourcename.charAt(i) == '.') {
resourcename.setCharAt(i,'/');
resourcename.append(".class");
return theClass.getClassLoader().getResource(resourcename.toString());
}if you use getResourceAsStream() in place of getResource() you will have the .class file as an inputStream which you can read and parse.

How to use single ant build to package with and without native extensions
Hi,
I am using iOS native extensions for Adobe air. For this I am listing the extensionid in the application descriptor file. Since the package with native extensions are meant to run only on device, I want my build script to work without native extensions too to be able to run on simulator. Is this manadatory that I need two separate application descriptors/basically two build scripts to compile and package them? Please suggest and let me know if more explanation is needed.
Thanks,
Swathi.why are you wanting to use single frames?
They allow having the initial frame address stay in the
address bar, and not
show the linked page's address. The problems they cause
usually override any
value.
Or- if we aren't using the same words the same way, please
give an example
site of what you want to do.

Error while transforming XSLT by calling function with Reflection API
Hi,
I'm new to Reflection API. I want to call function from the jar file which is not in my application context. So I have loaded that jar ( say XXX.jar) file at runtime with URLClassLoader and call the function say [ *myTransform(Document document)* ]. Problem is that when I want to transform any XSLT file in that function it throws exception 'Could not compile stylesheet'. All required classes are in XXX.jar.
If I call 'myTransform' function directly without reflection API then it transformation successfully completed.
Following is code of reflection to invoke function
ClassLoader contextCL = Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader();
URLClassLoader loader = new URLClassLoader(jarURLs, contextCL);
Class c = loader.loadClass(fullClasspath);
Constructor constructor = c.getDeclaredConstructor(constructorParamsClasses);
Object instance = constructor.newInstance(constructorParams);
Method method = c.getDeclaredMethod("myTransform", methodParamsClasses);

Unable to access classes in third party jar files packaged with my ejb.jar
I have packaged some third party jar files in my xxx_ejb.jar file. The third party jar file contains classes that are accessed by some custom classes which are in turn accessed by my bean classes. I get the following error when my custom classes attempt to use any of the classes in one of the third party jar files:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/Ostermiller/util/CSVParser
Shouldn't I be able to access classes in jar files that are packaged with my xxx_ejb.jar file? I see the xxx_ejb.jar file as a resource of the application classloader that contains it but I don't see the third party jar files.As per the Java EE specification, additional JAR files should be packaged on the EAR level. Only WAR files' WEB-INF/lib folder is scanned for JAR files to be added to the classloader.

I can't install Photoshop Elements 9 that was packaged with my Bamboo tablet
I bought a Bamboo Create tablet in October, but I recently migrated my pc from XP to Windows 8, so I have to re-install all my programs. Elements 9 was packaged with the product alongside three other softwares that I installed successfully, but this one resisted two installations. I would like to know how to solve that problem or if there is an alternative way to get the software, like a download or something (I have the product key on hand).
Thanks in advance for the answer.use compatibility mode (win xp should work) to install pse 9 on win 8.

How to include an enhancement package with upgrade without Solution Manager
Hello,
I have been trying to do an upgrade from SAP R3 46C to ERP6 in my sandbox. I want to include Enhancment package 3 with the upgrade. I have tried using the Solution Manager to download the Enhancement package and it work fine except that it did not create the XML Stack configuration file that the upgrade is looking for. Therefore I downloaded the DVD for Enhancement package 3 and included that in the mounted CDs in the PREPARE portion of the upgrade and it does not recognize it.
Now for my question, is there a way to include the Enhancement package with the upgrade without using Solution Manager? If so, could someone please let me know where to find the information or share the procedure with me?
Thank you in advance,
RonThe EPs are just like support packages (optional); if the upgrade is not letting you put it during upgrade then just do it once the upgrade is completed.

I have PS 4,5,and 6 installed on my Macbook Pro as well as Lightroom 4 and 5. Can I remove PS 4 and 5 and LR 4? PS 4 is the total install and PS 5 and 6 are upgrades. LR 4 is the full package with LR an upgrade.
I need space!First let me disabuse of a misconception: All Adobe upgrades are FULL installers. Whether you buy them as upgrades or new versions does not make an iota of difference. The upgrade installers do not need to find a prior version installed, they just prompt you for the old serial number as well as the old one, and they do not rely on the old version in the least.
Second, the time to uninstall an older version is BEFORE upgrading to a newer one. Otherwise, the uninstaller from the older versions will mess up with your new install. There are a gazillion files that are named the same and in the same locations as the new one.
Your best bet now is to uninstall ALL the Photoshop versions you have installed, including the newest one, one by one, then run the Adobe CS Cleaner Tool, then run Repair Permissions from Apple's Desk Utility, and finally re-install the latest version.
The other alternative, if your boot HD is large enough (very doubtful in case of a laptop like a Mac Book), is to leave all versions on it.
Your choice. -
Import package with .* in jsp
If i want to use HashMap in jsp page i need to have HashMap of util package in import statment in
page directive.
What is difference in Using
a) <%@ page import="java.util.HashMap"%>
b) <%@ page import="java.util.*"%>
Is there any performance issue using importing package with .*Ofcourse there will be a performance issue. In the
second case (<%@ page import="java.util.*"%>
) , you are loading all the classes in java.util
package into your JSP, where as in the first case you
are getting only HashMap. So the second option will
affect the performance. Always import only the
required classes.
rgdsThen you have no idea how import works. The only difference at all would come at compile time. After the page is compiled, there would be no performance issue whatsoever.
The main reason for doing one or the other way (same for any Java class) is clarity for those reading the code. Meaning if you use the full import, when they see "HashMap" in the code, they can look at the import statements and be sure that it's in java.util package. But generally, most people are going to be familiar with the classes in the common packages, like java.util. So I wouldn't generally list the specific classes if you are using more then one from the same package. There are other considerations where packages have classes of the same name (java.sql.Date & java.util.Date) but generally, I would always just put the full class name in the code. -
Run package with different user - SUSER does not work in DM Package
Hi,
we need to be able to start a DM package for which the username needs to be changed from your own to a fixed username ...
So in the BPC DM package we enter a fix value for variable SUSER (instead of %USER). However the DM package is still being executed with the user launicn the DM package ... We can see this for example the SQE BADI .. In the DM log the fixed username is being mentioned but it is being executed with your own username ...
The reason why we have this requirement, is to bypass the lacking functionality of a decent security model and to allow a certain (automated) data posting by means of a seperate DM package ...The user only has access to one specific profit center. However for one specific data posting, it needs to be able to have access to all profit centers. We want to achieve this by letting him execute a certain DM package with a fix user, having all the necessary security rights ...
Apperantly the parameter SUSER in the task prompt has no relevance ...Hi,
I came up with a different solution to this in the end.
You need to set WRITE = OFF in your script logic and handle the write back in your code - see below.
The following steps need to happen after you've completed all of your data manipulation in the BAdI and you are ready to do the write back.
Set Up
Step 1: Set up the impersonation 'domain\name' in BPC Administration -> Set Application Parameters
BAdI code
Step 2: Retrieve this parameter in the BAdI using method GET_PARAM_VALUE of class CL_UJA_APPLICATION
Step 3: Call cl_uj_context=>get_cur_context to get the current context
Step 4: Replace the user id in the context with the value retrieved in Step 2
Step 5: Call cl_uj_context=>set_cur_context to set the context with the new user id
Step 6: Call method write_back_int of cl_ujr_write_back to do the write back
Step 7: Reset the context back to the original user
Here is the code we used - it refers to some internal parameters and variables we have created here so can't be lifted 'as is' but should give sufficent information to replicate this functionality:
****Step 1: Get the application parameter*
TRY.
create object lo_application exporting i_appset_id = i_appset_id
i_application_id = i_appl_id .
