Read-only dynamically

Hi!
I would like to set a dropdown's (DROPDOWN1), read-only attribute dynamically, without binding a context attribute to it's read-only property. Is it possible?
Thank you
Tamá

The correct solution is to bind the attribute to the property and adjust the value of the attribute dynamically.  Why would you not want to do that?

  • How to make Inputfield read-only dynamically?

    Hello Experts,
    I used an input-field which the user can enter values through F4 help. After user selection, I want the input field to be read-only.
    And again if user wishes to change the value by F4 help, the input-field should be editable. Can we achieve this.
    Actually by using dropdown I can achieve this. But is it possible in WD4A as I stated above?
    Regards,

    Hi,
    Is this SH a custom one. Or you getting values from the DOMAIN.In this case, MODIFYVIEW gets triggerd. Also can make use of context change log.
    Or
    It can be possible when you have a OVS or custom SH so that an event has attached to it whcih gets triggered.

  • Re:read only propery of interctive forms..

    Hello Experts,
        Can you suggest me  how to make the fields read only dynamically in an interactive form using javascript...
    Regards,
    udaya.

    You may need any JavaScript to do this.
    In Designer you can setup the signature field in that way, that all fields will be locked after signing.

  • Making a dynamically generated field as Read Only

    Hi All,
    I am extending a standard CO and in that I wanted to make an entire table as read only. I checked by personalizing the page from front end, but as the items are dynamically generated fields , they are not visible in personalize page.
    So is there any way to cach these fields and make them read only programmatically.
    Thanks,

    Hi Pratap,
    I have looked into the view source and took the name of a input type ( There is no ID for the field) and used it in findIndexedChild, but it returns a null. I guess this is happening is the current CO is a mere region level CO and it is not being given the access.

  • Save dynamic PDF as flattened or read only

    I finished filling a form, which is a dynamic PDF. Now that I'm done filling it out, I want to save it as a regular PDF, where the fields cannot be edited, and anyone can open it without needing a special version of adobe (basically just a regular PDF viewer), since it's easier to email, and anyone can open it without a problem. Can this be done?
    I have a MacBook Pro, with Yosemite OS.
    Thanks guys

    Do you understand what "flattening" a PDF does?
    It converts fields and annotations content into the context of the PDF and removes the form fields and annotations and they cannot be recovered to their original objects.
    I would look at making the fields read only and using a digital signature to disclose if the PDF has been changed after the signature has been applied.

  • How to set the read only property for dynamic ALV column

    Hi All,
    I have built one dynamiv ALV and I have one name column inside that ALV for which I have to set read only property based on two column fields that exist in the same ALV,say IS_SP and IS_CORP of type boolean.
    If any one of the flag is 'X',i have to make that name column as display only and
    If both flag are not set,it should be displayed as ediatable column.
    I have written one method as INIT_ALV which gets called when ALV is loaded.
    Code is as  follows:
      lr_column_settings ?= wd_this->alv_all_roles.
      lt_columns = lr_column_settings->get_columns( ).
    LOOP AT lt_columns INTO ls_column.
    CASE ls_column-id.
       WHEN <NAMECOLUMN>. "name column which should be editable/display
    Create Input Field
            CREATE OBJECT lr_uie_input_field_ro
              EXPORTING
                value_fieldname = ls_column-id.
         ls_column-r_column->set_cell_editor( lr_uie_input_field_ro ).
        After this,I have to set the read only property based on IS_SP and IS_CORP values,
              CALL METHOD lr_uie_input_field_ro->set_read_only_fieldname
              EXPORTING
                *value = 'IS_SP' or 'IS_CORP'
    ENDLOOP.
    I dont want to use cell variants also.
    Help me to achieve this.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Read only item populated by dynamic LOV

    Since I'm using artificial keys in most of my table FKs, I need to use a lot of LOVs to provide the user with discernible data.
    Many of the columns I use an LOV for I need to be read only items. However, whenever I use a dynamic LOV, I do not see how to make it read only. It sets the value of the item to [].
    I know this can be accomplished in some cases with a join in the underlying query. However, many of the pages where I need to make this change are not based on a query.
    Is there a way to make an item populated by an LOV read only while still retaining the value?
    Thanks for your help!
    -Reid

    I'm using apex 3.2.1. Your testing and replies have helped me realize that the problem is that the column indeed did not have a value. When I had the item "display as" set to "select list" the LOV was also setup for allow NULL=NO. Thus, it was showing some value in the LOV in that item. But, when I switched to the "display as text" and set the always read only, then it gave the double brackets []. When I changed the allow NULL=YES, it worked fine and gave me a blank value.
    Thanks again!

  • Dynamically making read only for a field in get_data(CL_EHHSS_INC_BINFA_UI_FRM)

    Hi Experts,
    I am making read only for a field based on condition in get_data method of class CL_EHHSS_INC_BINFA_UI_FRM.

    Regards,

    Hi Richard,
    Please check if   this loop is executing for the correct desired event(say on click or from the start ). & the field name specified is correct or not through debugging. And check by placing the parameter ev_field_usage_changed = 'X'. after the loop statement.
    Below is a sample code for making the field read only.
    field-SYMBOLS: <fs_field> like line of CT_FIELD_USAGE.
       loop at CT_FIELD_USAGE ASSIGNING <FS_FIELD>.
         case <FS_FIELD>-NAME.
         when 'OC_INC_TYPE'. " name of the field
             <FS_FIELD>-READ_ONLY = 'X'.                " ' ' for editable

  • How to make the fields dynamic read only in live cycle designer

    hi folks
    I have created a form in Adove livecycle es. Some fields should be read only from the start. So i have set the property .access 'open'. In versions of Adobe 8 this works, but in the latest version  it won't so i think it should be done via another solution. Does anybody know how?
    kind regards,
    Anton Pierhagen

    May be the below code may help.. It loops thru all the pages in the PDF form and make them protected. So the user can not change any value in the form.
    for (var i = 0; i < xfa.host.numPages; i++)
    var oFields = xfa.layout.pageContent(i, "field");
    var nodesLength = oFields.length;
    //set the access type to be protected for all fields
    for (var j = 0; j < nodesLength; j++)
    var oItem = oFields.item(j);
    oItem.access = "protected";

  • Read-only radio group losing value on validation error

    It took quite a while to track this down, but I think I've got it narrowed down properly. I have an APEX form for updating a record in a databse table with a radio group which is conditionally read-only. If that radio group has a value AND is read-only, when the form is submitted and hits a validation error, the value of the radio group is lost.
    For example, the radio group SUBMITTED_FOR_APPROVAL is set to Y and is read-only for a given user. That user then changes something else on the form and submits it. However, the form now hits a validation error for some field. When the form reloads with the validation error displayed, all the fields are restored except the read-only radio group which is now blank. If a select list is used with the identical read-only condition, it works fine. Likewise, if a radio group is used, but the read-only condition is removed, it works fine. It is only when it is a radio group and it is read-only, that the value does not appear to be submitted to the session with all the form values whent he form is submitted.
    Is this a bug or am I simply missing something?
    Apex 3.1.2

    It's using a shared component LOV cleverly called LOV_YN which consists of a static LOV with
    1 Display=Yes, Return=Y
    2 Display=No, Return=N
    The settings in the LOV section on the item iteself:
    Named LOV: LOV_YN
    Display Extra values: No Dynamic translation: Not translated
    Number of columns: 2 Display null: No
    Null display value is blank as is null return value
    Item was setup as a radio group and was only converted over to a select list to work around this issue. Let me know what else you need and thanks again.

  • Is it possible to display only dynamically selected fields in the out put?

    Is it possible to display only dynamically selected fields in the out put? i need to display set of columns in the selection criteria, but in the output i have display only input given fields. because i need to convert it into .csv file. So i have to display selected fields from internal table. In oracle they are using"execute immediate". is there any equivalent in SAP?
    thanks in advance.

    Hi Remya,
    Are you talking about dynamic programming in ABAP ?
    If yes, there are concepts like RTTS which facilitates it.
    Yes, the select query also supports dynamic selection of fields. ( Please care about ( ) in dynamic sql ).
    Do more research on Field Symbols and statements like ASSIGN COMPONENT OF.

  • Access read-only LDAP for username/password, Directory Server LDAP for rest

    Hello! I keep trying to find documentation on the above, but thus far I have been unable to find something that explains this well (and my attempts at figuring out thus far have failed).
    I have a read-only LDAP that is used University wide, and I am not allowed to change how it currently operates. It uses double-bind authentication in that you search for a user to get their DN, then bind to that DN with the users password to see if it was correct.
    I'd like to use the above setup to verify a user's credential as well as return some basic information about them (name, email, etc). After this, I'd like to use another freshly installed Directory Server LDAP to manage the roles that seem to be needed for Portal Server (as I cannot write to the original LDAP).
    Any help or advice on the above would be appreciated! Thank you.

    The authentication you described is the default way LDAP authentication works.
    AM Ldap auth-module allows you to 'pull' attributes from the LDAP server you're using for authentication and store it in it's 'amSDK' Directory Server - which is leveraged by Portal Server (if you're talking about Sun's Portal Server).
    However this is only done if the profile is created (set 'dynamic profile generation' in auth - service).
    As Portal Server does not support the new 'identity repsoistory API' of AM you have to stick to AM's legacy mode when using Portal Server.
    To keep the the data in sync (if needed) you have to write a post-auth class.

  • Easy read-only access for noobs

    Lightroom is a great product for the photographer, but for his spouse it's not so easy.  I'd like an easy way to copy an image to the clipboard or export it to iPhoto to be used in other apps like iWeb.
    My photos are stored on a server.  It should be easy for my wife to go through the collection in read-only mode and use photos for blogs, emails, slideshows, etc without having to learn how to sync the directory tree, export from Lightroom and manage those temporary files.  Currently the best process I can find is:
    Use Bridge to browse the photos since only Adobe products can see the Develop settings for the RAW images.
    Select the image and right-click Open-With Camera Raw
    In Camera Raw Save the file as a JPEG into a temporary folder
    In Finder, find the temporary folder, open the JPEG with Preview or drag the file to iPhoto
    If It's in Preview, Copy the image to the clipboard for pasting into an app like Mail or iWeb.
    It seems like we could eliminate several steps here if Adobe Bridge had a convert&copyToClipboard option that would convert a RAW with Develop settings into a JPEG and then copy that JPEG into the clipboard for pasting into an application.
    If anyone has a better approach, let me know.
    Besides the cost overhead, it's not realistic for her to use Lightroom from her computer because Lightroom won't dynamically see folder tree changes without a Sync.  Using Bridge she also loses out on virtual copies.
    Thanks,
    -Ryan.

    Pete,
    Good point... that's true. I shouldn't say there aren't any programs that support XMP... there certainly are!
    I don't know, though, of any application that can read - and more importantly *use* - the XMP data that's specifically related to the Lightroom Developer metadata.
    An application can say that it has read/write support for XMP (which is actually not only for LR, but also for Photoshop and even PDFs), but that doesn't mean the application has to recognize - and honor - every piece of metadata contained within that XMP file. I think a lot of the applications listed on Adobe's website only support a subset of the Lightroom metadata: EXIF, IPTC, geocoding... that kind of thing.
    So it's one thing to say that an app supports XMP, and it's another to say that an application fully supports XMP. If an image editor supported every XMP tag, it could take a RAW + Lightroom XMP file, pick up where you left off in Lightroom, save its own changes back to XMP, and Lightroom would recognize the other editor's changes. I don't think even Photoshop supports XMP to that level!
    I don't know of any app that will read Lightroom's Developer metadata and display the same image that you see in Lightroom, which is what the OP was asking for and  what I was addressing in  saying there aren't apps that support XMP.
    But, you're right, I was an over-sweeping generalization.  So, let me restate more accurately
    The XMP data is developed by Adobe, but it's a published standard so in theory anybody who wanted to COULD read the Lightroom Developer XMP/DNG data. But nobody does.
    Of course, all this is a little academic because even if an organizer (e.g. Picasa) could honor all the Lightroom metadata and display the image "correctly", it wouldn't matter. The ultimate goal of the OP is to use the image in blogs, emails, etc. which is unfortunately still going to require a JPG. Maybe one day DNG and XMP will be as widely supported as JPG (which I think is Adobe's goal)!
    Thanks for keeping me honest

  • Read only file system

    One of my Parabola installations has started to always mount the / partition read-only. I've booted into a different install on the same machine, and can mount the affected partition without problems. I've done a fsck, and run the SMART disk checks. No problems. I've touched /forcefsck so a file system check is done every time I boot, but still the partition is read-only when it finishes booting.
    This is the output of 'mount':

    (I disconnected the second hard drive in the machine to verify that it wasn't causing problems. Hence the sda / sdb discrepancy)
    I've been able to mount the partitions and chroot into them, but I don't know what to do from here. Oddly, I've discovered that 'ls' doesn't output anything, although bash completion seems to work ok.
    Any ideas on what I should do to get my system running again?
    Thanks in advance,
    Bernie
